A cough could be heard in the corner of the room.

A cheap lamp hanged up from the ceiling was making the room look a little orange/yellow colored. There were a few lamps hanging from the ceiling. It was night. Smoke was in the air after people were constantly smoking in said room. Mafioso were discussing matters in Sunagakure in said room, and as everyone might know mafioso like to smoke a lot. Nick was sitting in a corner, he was a man that held many connections. Absurd ideas were being brought up to solve the problem in question. And then a Capo blurted out something interesting.

"Okay, okay. Let's say... we move the sheep to the LEFT, instead of the RIGHT, so Tim can pass through normally."

Yes, you are right. These were homework questions, because the Capo was in elementary again. Everyone was getting a little frustrated, the mood was very serious. Nick was slightly bummed out, he expected this meeting to be more.. eh..

"For fucking sake Billy, get your head together, you always have the best answers to these questions!"

"Castrate Timmy, cut off the sheep head and put it into the bed of his parents. I'm getting real tired of this shit Capo, yesterday you made us make your history assignment now this shit? I'm out"

The mood got more tenser as veins started to pop out of the head of the capo. He was about to snap and lose his shit, kill two people and take his own life in the process. Nick wished he wasn't there right now. But he had little choice. He was contacted at 11 PM to be at xyz location at 1 AM. And now, after three hours of yelling, screaming, consulting multiple mathematicians, extorting store owners it had become 5 AM.

"NICK! You're bright, what would you do!?"

"Lure Timmy with cocaine -- Wait! Blind him with a rusty knife so he won't know the difference between left and right!"

"Sigh... I'm surrounded by so many idiots."

Nick was gritting his teeth. Could he man up, be like Billy and rage quit? Yes he totes fucking could.

"Yo Capo... em.. about that.. uh.. "

No, he couldn't. Too much chicken in his system to be able form a sentence that had enough punch behind it. As a matter of fact, Nick was so quiet that the capo didn't hear him. Thus, Nick had thought of a strategy. He would start getting lower on his chair, lower and lower, until he was leaning on his seat. Then he would slip of his chair and lay on the floor and do the worm towards the door, as silent as possible. After one hour, and I'm not kidding, one hour of extreme cautious worm, Nick made his way to the door. He was moving his hand up to the handle, preparing to open the door as quiet as possible as Billy came back and slammed the door in Nick's face.

Pretty much everything after that became a vague until Nick woke up, in the middle of a desert. His body,  buried deep down in the sand and his head sticking out. The sun was up again, it was around 6:30 AM this time. His face was quite red and he didn't remember much of what happened the few hours prior to that. He looked a little drunk since he was disorientated. Nick had an itchy nose, he wanted to scratch it but it was hard considering his body was buried in the sand. He looked around him, blinking a lot.

Where the hell was he?

It was slowly becoming apparent that she didn't quite like the desert life.

Such a conclusion should have been made much earlier - hours even, when she had first stepped foot into the barren land, seeking the village hidden in sand. But at the time, she had been otherwise preoccupied, drawing fancy trails in the sand as the moved, loving the way her toes seeped right into the warm granules. Somehow, this managed to keep her attention for the hours to come.

She was arriving from Konohagakure, from the oh-so-popular Land of Fire. This wasn't her first time leaving, and would it be her last. Her habit of constantly moving from place to place was ingrained within her, the continual feeling of unease when she lingered for too long in one place was something she preferred to avoid. Now this place. This was quite different. She was dressed lightly, a simple white summer dress, with an overdress laid on top of one arm. Still, it was unbearably hot, even if the sun wasn't at its peak hour yet. She had travelled mostly between the Land of Fire, Water, and Lightning, and this would be her first time stepping foot into the Land of Wind. "They should call it the Land of Sand, don't you think, onee-chan?" She would ask in the middle of walking, holding up a white rabbit plushie in front of her to block out the sun. "It's all sand. In fact, it shouldn't be the Land of Sand, it's not even land. Sand of Sand." A little giggle would be let out at her ridiculous comment, knowing how silly it was, but finding much amusement in it.

Eventually, inevitably tired of trudging along the sand with the village still nowhere in sight, she chose a random dead tree sticking out from the sand and launched herself at it, stepped lightly so that her last step was on the very surface of the sand before pushing herself up, settling comfortably on the surprisingly sturdy branch. Her first action after that would be to shake her left ankle, intent on ridding the sand that had lodged itself within the three tiny bells of her anklet. It was quite inconvenient, really. A detail she didn't consider when she had spontaneously decided to visit this particular land. With the tiny granules of sand stuffing itself into the bell and taking up the space otherwise reserved for the clapper was irritating, blocking out the steady wave of sound that it should be producing at every moment. Her brows furrowed in concentration, tuning out on everything as her trained ears sought a single, specific feedback.

Ring.

There. That tiny little sound could barely be heard, but to Mikage, it was crystal clear, an indication that it was now free from obstruction. Okay, now to test just how well sound travelled in the desert, should she somehow 'accidentally' find herself in some sort of trouble. It wasn't as though she was usually the one walking and making trouble. Pfft, that wasn't it~ She was a helpless, fourteen year old girl.

Ring. Ring.

Eh? This was interesting. She was getting the expected feedback, sand, sand and more sand, with the occasional random dead tree or cactus. Not much sign of active life at this hour, as it was beginning to warm up. But she definitely picked up on some odd round shape sticking out from the sand about seven meters away. Seven meters … that was really, really close. In fact, whatever it was should be right behind the tree, and whatever it was - if it was alive - should have spotted her by now. Adjusting her seating so that she was facing the opposite direction, her eyes rested on the weird object lodged within the sand. Except it wasn't a simple object, it was a human head. From the looks of it, the head should be connected to the rest of the body, buried under the sand. The sides of her mouth twitched, eventually lifting into a cute grin.  "Hey, mister ~ Are you having fun? You know, Mikage doesn't think that's how you're supposed to get a tan." A giggle would be let out, lilac eyes twinkling in amusement. She would hop off the tree, skipping over to the head and using the arm of the rabbit plushie to tap at the man's hair. Another peal of laughter escaped her as she placed the rabbit in a sitting position on top of the head.

"Fuck... where's my car"

Nick blinked again, he was disorientated as hell. Slightly drunk even since he had been drinking cognac for a long while. Why was he buried? Who burred him? Why would someone bury him? Nick was trying to gather some thoughts, he tried to wriggle himself out of the sand that was nearly plastered against his body. The pressure from the sand made his position a little bit uneasy. He looked around him, there was a white blur in his eyes as he had to blink a few more times. He was near a tree, a gecko was crawling over his head and a snake seemed to be lurking around ten meters away from his head.

"I guess I'll have to eat myself out?"

Nick mumbled, his mouth was already quite dry though. Not so good of a plan. He heard a bell, something... familiar, in the distance. His eye color was hidden behind his pilot glasses. It was really warm as well. Footsteps, that was the sound he heard. He looked up at him and saw a female, he wasn't sure how tall she was nor what age she was since his vision was still a blur. Nick yawned a little as he barely heard what she had to say. He chuckled a little as he thought of a joke he felt like sharing.

"Heheh, I must look like a floating head to you right now"

He blinked a few more times as he spun his eyes upwards, trying to see what was on his head but he couldn't see. It was important that he got out quickly so he pulled himself together a little. He gave a battle cry as he used every muscle in his body to get out of the sand-trap. It didn't seem to work, in the process he pulled his neck.

"Heheh, this must be a dream right.. yea, there's no other way."

Nick was silent for a second, then came to his senses some more. He tried to aggressively bite the sand that was around him but he couldn't reach it. One could say that he was quite desperate.

"Ojou-chan... please help this old timer get out of the dirt that he currently is stuck in. And no, that is not a sexual innuendo."

Eh ~ How rude of him.

Her words appeared to have been ignored, something that greatly irritated her. As someone who thrived on the attention that people gave her, it was inexcusable for her words to completely be disregarded. The upturned mouth began to drop, barely acknowledging his little comment about being a floating head. It would have been funny had he not ignored her joke first. Would have widened her smile, if he didn't commit such an offensive act towards her. A breath intake signalled that she was ready to come back with a retort, one that may have led to the separation of the head and the body. But whatever she was going to say was cut off, replaced with a startled yelp as the man let out a loud shout. Her sensitive, trained ears registered the sound, prompting her foot to take a step back in surprise.

What … ?

Her head tilted ever so slightly, hair rustling softly as it slid towards one side. Whatever irritated thoughts she had before vanished, replaced with an indescribable curiosity for this strange man, whose head was still the only thing she has seen. Quietly, she stood there, watching the man's various antics, from struggling with the sand, to mumbles about it being a dream, to his final attempt to … eat the sand? "Onee-chan, is this man stupid? Hey, are you stupid?" The first question had been directed at the rabbit, but she would then turn her head as she started the second question, directly questioning the man about his level of intellect. She had to admit - this was the first time she's seen someone buried alive in sand and, well, still alive. It seemed quite comical. The area around seemed quite undisturbed, as though he had either buried himself willingly,  had voluntarily allowed someone to bury him, or was unconscious at the time of the burial.

It would seem that Sunagakure was quite the fun place to be. If things like this occurred in the barren desert, she couldn't wait to see the village itself.

She could hear him asking for help. Of course she could hear him - even if she tried to tune it out, she would hear him anyways. Sexual innuendo … she couldn't quite understand what that meant, but the fact that he had called her "ojou-sama" was pleasing. Just a tad. Mikage liked flattery, even simple titles like that. It made her feel special, as though she was someone worthy of admiration. "Heeeh ~ Since he asked so nicely, should Mikage help him, nee-chan? Maybe if he would agree to take her to the village and buy her nice things." Tapping the bunny's nose once, she would close the distance between herself and the head, channelling chakra into her left foot before raising it slightly, stomping down inches away from the man's head.

The bells on her ankle rang softly.

At first, nothing would appear to happen. Then a distant rumbling down would be heard from beneath the ground, at which Mikage would hop several steps back, letting out a soft giggle. "Mikage hopes this doesn't kill you, mister." These words would be followed by the sound of what appears to be a small explosion of the ground surrounding the man, the ball of pressure that she had transmitted through sound waves into the sand beneath the man's feet forcing itself up to the surface, bringing the man along with it. If she had calculated it accurately and the technique worked properly, he would simply be launched a couple meters into the air with the sand without much harm. Hopefully.

Nick stared at the female in front of him. He was pretty washed up but nonetheless he seemed quite energetic. He blinked at the female in front of him as she seemed to step backwards. Was she intimidated or something? No no.. Nick couldn't be that intimidating. After all the only thing that was above surface was his head, so his body couldn't be in a position to intimidate her, so it was most likely something else. He wasn't sure what it was but he didn't really care at the moment. Since these might be his last moments depending on the seriousness of the lady in front of him.

It was then when his attention shifted towards her again. Did she just talk to her rabbit.. and call it her sister? This was just Nick's luck eh, stuck in the desert with a crazy person. He replied with silence when she asked whether or not he was stupid, but one could argue that he indeed was a moron. Nick looked up and saw an ostrich fly high up in the air, he was circling around the area. Probably wanting to take Nick's head home and eat it.

"Mmm, I'd appreciate th--"

He was cut off by her foot which was next to his head. Was she stomping the ground or was she expecting Nick something to do with her foot? He was a little confused but then he looked down and felt the ground shake. He blinked and felt his feet move, he suddenly was propelled from the sand and flew a few meters into the air. He landed three meters away on a big rock which broke his fall. He was unlucky not to have landed in the sand, but luckily enough he didn't fall on the cactus which was behind him. He groaned mildly and laid on his back as his clothes were dirty from the sand.

"Hngr, thanks ojou-chan. Let me treat you on breakfast"

Aha ~ It worked.

She had to admit - the man was quite lucky. That is, to a certain extent. If she had miscalculated and placed the ball of pressure in the wrong location … things may have gotten much messier. Sand blew towards her as the scene before her appeared to erupt, the edges of her light attire blowing in the resulting breeze.

Her eyes followed his brief moment of flight, giggling when he landed quite awkwardly on a rock, instead of the nice, comfortable sand. Of course, she herself didn't have much control on how he would land, but it was amusing nonetheless. To have defied the odds of landing safely in sand and ending up on a hard surface … at least it wasn't the cactus. There was no telling whether Mikage would get over the fit of giggles that would ensue if he landed on the cactus.

Wandering over to his groaning form, Mikage stood above his head, grinning brightly as she peered down at him. "Yay, you're alive!" Holding the rabbit over his face, she brought its paws together in a clapping motion, as though utterly delighted by the fact that he had survived that minor ordeal. The fact that he called her "ojou-chan" again greatly pleased her, lilac eyes twinkling, all trace of her previous irritation gone. Plus, he said he would treat her to breakfast, which was nice. The amount of money she had on her person had diminished. Even in the time that she had spent living alone and away from home, she still hadn't quite gotten the grasp of spending money wisely, and thus found it difficult maintaining a healthy amount of ryo. Thankfully, as she was now the age acceptable as a genin, doing missions to earn ryo wasn't a problem … though it was slow. And quite difficult to gain the trust of a village enough to allow her to go on official missions to earn the amount of ryo she pay for the things she bought on a whim.

Getting free food from a stranger? Yay!

Following a stranger? Sure, no problem.

Clearly … either she didn't learn quite enough to be wary for strangers in her younger years, or whatever she had been taught had been discarded in the time she had spent living alone. And to Mikage, she wasn't alone. She was never alone. In her mind, she was always accompanied by her sister. "Will you treat Misaki nee-chan as well?" She would ask, holding out the rabbit. "Mikage and Misaki only like eating nice food, so it better not just be ramen!" Even without waiting for her answer, she would have taken several steps back, ready and waiting for Nick to collect himself and take her towards … well, whichever direction the village was in. It would take about three steps for her to realize she had no idea where she was going, and if the man was the one offering to get her food, it was likely a good idea to let him lead.

Nick stretched his back. Oh how tired he was. He guessed that he hadn't slept the entire time, that he was conscious until he was knocked out. And he guessed that he was unconscious for thirty minutes or so, that would his estimation be, since he was quite tired. He blinked around, wondering how he ended up here once again. He straightened his jacket and contagiously yawned. He looked up at the sun to estimate what time it was. The sun wasn't high up in the air, indicating that it wasn't the afternoon; the fact that the girl didn't react oddly on his proposal to eat breakfast instead of lunch gave him a good estimation on the time. He raised a brow slightly at the girl, she had given her doll a name as well? Oh-well, maybe it was a magical doll. Nick mildly chuckled at the thought of the doll being alive or whatever.

"Erm, no problem. I was thinking lobster, if this village has any. I'm in the mood for lobster to be honest."

Nick was a man of vast wealth, so money wouldn't be any real problem for him. Though in a village surrounded by a desert, he doubted that they had any lobster. Well, maybe they would have lobster, but it wouldn't be fresh and ripe. Those are the best types of lobster, those who arrive fresh from the sea. Nick has spent many trips on the ocean fishing for lobster, but unfortunately, it is hard to catch them as they travel in flock and use some kind of buddy-buddy system to make sure they don't get lost or whatever. Nick wasn't a marine biologist so he didn't really know their ecology too well. He begun walking back towards the village, considering that they were a little bit away from the village.

"So what's your name ojou-chan? Or would you prefer me to keep calling you Ojou-chan? I'm Nick, by-the-way."

Nick spoke as he was walking towards the village. Wondering where he could find the restaurant. He kept an eye on the female that was accompanying him, since she was showing signs of border-line mental craziness. But then again, who was Nick to judge? After a few minutes of walking, Nick would arrive in front of a restaurant in the heart of the city. It was a five minute walk so it was quite nice. It didn't seem really crowded so that was good also. Nick walked towards the door and opened it, he looked at the lady and smiled.

"Ladies first. ~"

This man was strange. Quite so.

He was using words she had never heard of before, words that appeared to hold some meaning that she couldn't decipher. Sexual innuendo? Lobster? If she had to guess, lobster was likely the name of a food or something. What else could being 'in the mood for lobster' mean? Unless it was some sort of action … something that they had to do in order to get breakfast. Perhaps a strange custom of the village - but that couldn't be in. Judging from what the man had just said, he didn't hail from Sunagakure either. Well, whatever. Mikage was curious, and she wasn't going to let the fact that she had no idea what the man was saying get in the way of fulfilling her curiosity.

Her lack of knowledge of the world was showing. Despite being a wanderer now that she had run away from home, it didn't appear as though her knowledge had increased much. She wasn't the very attentive type, things went right by her without her noticing, having learned that if she didn't practice tuning things out, she would go crazy from her auditory nerves constantly being stimulated by the sounds around her. The names of foods didn't really matter to her. If asked about her favourite foods, she could easy come up with a list. Ice cream, takoyaki, kochi, dango … but none of these were actually true. She didn't dislike them, but she didn't like them either. There was no preference. It was just a list, so that she would have a response prepared in case she was asked. Most of the time, she never bothered even taking note of what she ate, as long as it was edible and could keep her from starving. Lobster though … she couldn't recall ever hearing that before. Maybe it really wasn't a food.

She skipped after him as he began walking, not paying any particular attention to the pace she was going at, as long as she didn't lose him. Ending up beside him when he asked her for name, her head tilted up towards him - as he was considerably taller than she was - and her brows dipped together in confusion. He must be quite stupid. But she had already concluded this before, after witnessing his attempt to eat himself out of the sand. "Mikage's already said her name a lot! Pay attention!" It was a chiding tone that she took on, as though she was genuinely scolding the man for not already noticing her name. "But you may call me Ojou-chan if you wish." She would add after a moment of thought, nodding seriously. It was pleasing to hear, and she wouldn't mind hearing it a couple more times.

The rest of the walk proceeded relatively smoothly. She hadn't realized how close she had been to the village before, finding the two of them entering the village within moments. He continued walking, as though having a pre-determined destination in mind. A hefty amount of effot was required for Mikage to keep up him - the moment they entered the village, her attention began to wander, attracted to the various sights within the village walls. Eventually, they stopped in front of a restaurant, where he would open the door and invite her in first. Without hesitation, she stepped in, eyes drawn to the ring of the bell hanging over the door. She would proceed to stand in the middle of the entranceway, staring curiously at the bell above her, even after the sound had faded. Nothing would be able to draw her attention away, and she would slowly lift the rabbit plushie, holding it up in an attempt to get the head of the rabbit to touch the bell - but to no avail, as she was too short. The storeowner would call out in greeting, but pause, watching with other visitors at Mikage's strange antics.

"Hey …" She would suddenly pip up, unconcerned with the amount of attention she was garnering. "What's a lobster?"

Nick nodded, she indeed say her name a lot. But then again, she also said the name of her teddy-bear a lot. Nick wasn't sure whether or not she referred to herself or to her teddy bear whenever she said a name. So he figured that her name was Mikage, and her teddy-bear or her 'sister': Misaki. He wondered what kind of mental problems she had but then reminded himself again that it wasn't his business to stick his nose into. Thinking of that, it made him scratch his nose. Then, he smiled. Realizing that everyone was unique on their own way.

He nodded, ojou-chan was a honorific he wouldn't really mind calling her. As long as it wouldn't elaborate to ojou-sama or something, now that'd be slightly embarrassing. Nick's walk was somewhat odd, one might call it pseudo chauvinistic whilst others would call it borderline aristocratic. It was certainly unique. But that was mostly because he was quite tall. Nick gave a sleek grin as they both entered the restaurant, Mikage first followed by Nick. Nick anxiously stroked the back of his neck as the majority of the people were giving Nick and Mikage some odd looks. Perhaps a 6'4" giant with a 4'6" teenager wasn't exactly the thing you saw her everyday. Nick had to bend down at the door a little since he was a little too tall for the frame. But once he was in, it wasn't a problem since the ceiling was high.

Nick amusingly chuckled as he heard her, she didn't know what lobster was? Hilarious, in Nick's eyes. He doubt he'd get the chance to grab some here, but he was quite sure he would be more successful in Konohagakure or perhaps Kirigakure.

"Haha, that is amusing! ~"

Nick said, realizing he was slightly loud which was an accident. He coughed a little to scrape his throat, since he didn't want to seem like a screaming village-idiot. He took the lead and began walking to an empty table which was next to the window. He would sit on the chair on the opposite side of the entrance restaurant, since he was a little bit paranoid.

"Truth be told, I doubt that they have any fresh-ripe lobster here.

This is when Nick rubbed his hands sinister and then reached for the menu. He was looking through it as he indeed was right. There would be no natural lobster in this village. It was then when he wanted to practise his manipulation skill out on this female. Since after all, he had taken a big liking into her.

"Lobsters.. hmm. There are many different ways to describe a lobster really. Biologically, it's the son of the ocean. It often swims within packs of other lobsters over the ocean floor. They spend their entire life together and rarely ever abandon the pact. They're quite rare in the ocean because it requires a few things to be able to... grow."

Nick explained, a slight dripple of saliva escaping his lips falling on the wooden table. He licked his lips as he leaned back a little.

"In the kitchen? Hmm, chef cooks cut their legs off and crack their shell. They cook its meat for a long while and then cover it with delicious melted butter. Butter that will make your eyes tear from sheer lust. The density of the meat is perfect. Meaning that you won't need to chew a lot or bite oftenly. Because their muscles are tender and soft. When you take a bite with your teeth the butter leaks out and it pleasures your tongue with a force of thousand suns."

Nick grinned, a few people were listening into what he was saying. The desire for lobster for Nick was vast. He could go on hours and hours about the legendary food, but then again he didn't want to bore the ojou-chan. Nick had hoped that her lips were salivating at the thought of lobster. If she wanted to try it out, then his next question would be easy to answer.

"There's this village in the east, not too-far away from here. It is called Kirigakure, I'm one hundred percent sure that they have lobster there. Would you be interested in accompanying me to this mythical village to eat some lobster? Of course, this also would be my treat. And, not now per-se, I'm saying like, maybe this afternoon or tomorrow.

She wandered after him, attention torn away from the bell in anticipation for his answer. It was quite irritating to see that he was laughing at her - after all, it was a perfectly legitimate question. She didn't recall ever hearing the word before, and if it was something to eat, all the more reason she wanted to know. There was also something about the situation that bothered her. Mikage had been the one in a superior position when first meeting this man - being the one not buried up to the neck in sand made her so. She could have chosen not to save the man, allowed him to attempt to eat his way out, as it appeared he had originally intended to do. But no, she was nice enough to help after he begged her - yes, in her mind, he had been begging, and thus she found an empathetic piece of her being that urged her to blast him out.

So that left her in a higher position. … Right? So why was he acting less like a grateful man grovelling at her feet, and more like someone she ought to be following around and obtaining knowledge from? Her brows began to furrow further as she considered this rather complex situation. But she wouldn't say anything yet, as learning what lobster was would be the highest priority. Now that her curiosity was piqued, there was no stopping it. Sitting directly across from him, legs crossed at the ankles so that she could swing her legs and hear the reassuring soft jingle of her anklet, she tilted her head, ready for his explanation.

He began by stating that he doubted there would be any lobster in the restaurant. Ehh, how lame. And then came the biological explanation … her attention stayed long enough to get to the part about "son of the ocean", and then it was gone, focused on a dish that was being served at the next table. Now that she thought about it, she was rather hungry. It had been a while since her last meal, and all this talk while sitting in a restaurant was making her acutely aware of just how much she suddenly wanted to eat. The sound of a single drip hitting the wooden surface of the table brought her attention back, and her nose wrinkled at the sight of drool. The description that followed of the actual taste of lobster didn't seem to do much - she didn't particularly care for any specific foods, not one to admire the taste or texture of the stuff she ate.

"Hey, hey, can we order yet? Mikage's hungry." She would interrupt in the middle of his offer, no longer interested in the subject. "You can travel there yourself, Mikage's not interested. And besides, Misaki nee-chan doesn't like the smell of fish - and it always stinks of fish there." The fact that he described it as mystical wasn't helping, seeing as she had been to Kirigakure before. Going with company apart from her sister would be nice … not that she would ever admit it. The thought of admitting it out loud would offend her sister, she couldn't ever say that. Hell, it horrified her to be having such thoughts. Her sister was the only person she ever needed. That's right, there was no reason for her to have such foolish hopes. She had only just arrived to Sunagakure, without even a chance to explore yet. She had no plans to leave yet. Her arm would raise up to catch the attention of a nearby waitress, already growing tired of the talk, turning expectantly at Nick to see whether he would order.

Nick seemed to be lost in his own conversation and he suddenly heard her. She seemed not that interested in his story. Maybe her taste pupils weren't as developed yet and didn't see the obvious awesomeness that lobster is known for. Nick's favorite type of food was crayfish. Next to apples, of-course. Apples were his burning desire and his burning passion. There was something about a fresh- juicy apple that made him happy. He himself like the green ones more then the other ones. Because those have some-kind of placebo affect on them that makes the people think who eat them that they are sweeter, whilst they are pretty much all the same. As he was imagining great things about lobster he would wonder what kind of food he should get from this place.

After all, he didn't dine much. Especially not in Sunagakure. The chefs of Sunagakure weren't exactly very known. Whereas there are others where they have top chefs from the world. The gourmets that they make are quite fantastico. Nick raised his hand to his lips and slightly yawned into it. He had proper ettiquetes, which weren't noticeable at first face but after getting to know him a wee bit better one would learn that he's quite prude about a few subjects but is also quite neutral about many others. Such as putting your elbows on the table when dining, or yawning into your hand. Nick then leaned back slightly. The menu resting in the palm of his other hand as he stared at the table. It was made of wood, some good quality wood.

Which indicated that this restaurant was quite old. Or that it's style was somewhat meant for it to be more cozy-like. For families who came there to have fun or whatever. It gave Nick a grin on his face. Wondering why this restaurant had wooden tiles too. Wouldn't it be a fire hazard? Especially in Sunagakure where it already is very warm. A small lighter falling onto the wooden floor would probably burn up the place quite quickly. He would give it fifteen minutes before it would collapse in ashes. But then again, Nick wasn't a pyromaniac so these thoughts were somewhat rare for him to have. His eyes went back to the menu as he read through it. It had some interesting recipes on them. Not all that many that he liked a lot though. It was too bad that they didn't have a lot of fish in this restaurant. But considering that Mikage didn't enjoy the smell of fish he doubt she'd be comfortable if he got fish here anyway.

"Look through the menu first, I'm sure a waiter will stop by in a second."

Nick said with a slight French accent. Considering that French was his main language every bit of English he said had a slight trace of French undertone behind it. It wasn't very noticeable since Nicks skill in English was quite decent. Conversational English that is. His skill in English writing wasn't very high. He could write quite nice in French though. There were a few other languages that Nick spoke and writes but rarely does. Since most of them have become dead languages over the years. It was then when Nick noticed the near-silent theme being played through the restaurant. This made him look up slightly and see a few boxes in the ceiling. They weren't very big, it was probably broadcasting the radio. It was rather a pleasant song.

After seeing this he shifted back his attention to the menu and read through it again. Unsure what he would get. He looked around, wondering whether or not there was a clock hanging somewhere since he didn't know the time. Too bad that there wasn't any. Nick slightly bit his bottom lip and looked back at the menu. He could get some bacon and eggs right now, but that would be a little cliche, no? Dilemmas were floating through Nick's head as he emptily was staring at the menu, ever-so wondering what food he should get.

"Tell me a little about yourself, Mikage. What food do you enjoy? What are the colors that you like? Hobbies?"

Nick said whilst eyeing his menu. Starting to do a psychoanalysis on Mikage to detect the source of her mild-insanity. Just as he said that he heard some commotion from the other side of the restaurant. There was a big balded fellow who was strong enough to smash through the skull of an adult male. Nick looked at disgust towards his direction as a waiter was trying to get his order. When a funny thought occurred to him. He had yet to manage killing anyone to music. Sure, he had killed a few people back in his day. But yet he had to end someones life to some sweet chin music. The male was starting to increase the volume of his voice. Shouting angry.

Nick did his best to hear what he was saying, not paying attention to whatever Mikage had to say or her facial expressions. His bloodlust was slightly showing, it sure was hard to see but anyone within a meter of him could mildly notice it. He had imagination of killing this man to this music, he liked this song. He forgot what it was called, something like 'Not Fair', he forgot who was main singer of this song though. Nick was about to stand up whilst looking in the direction of the man. The man kept on shouting. Nick could silence him by slitting his throat. But then again, he wouldn't want to kill someone in public. It would cause him to become a nukenin, he thought. Unless this bald semi super hulk killed the waiter. Nick had to suck on his teeth for now.

"Fuck the king! I'll eat every piece of chicken in this fucking place!"
The man said, whilst yelling his lungs empty. Nick groaned. He was a little fidgety before, doubting himself but this sealed the deal. The man grabbed the head of a waitress and crushed her head. He put his strength into his hand as the waitress tried to kick him to get away from him. But it was too late, he squashed her head like a pineapple being squeezed by a ten ton concrete block falling on it. Brains covering the floor and a big portion of the wall behind him being painted by the blood. All the personal from the restaurant were running away in panic. Other customers were leaving as well in panic. Pretty much everyone had seemed to have left except for Nick and a few other people.

Nick grabbed a toothpick and looked into the eye of the giant again.  He bit on the end of his toothpick whilst intensely staring into his eyes. He let what was remaining of the head of the waitress go. Her lifeless body slipped onto the floor and bled out further. He knew that he shouldn't use too much fire to fight this man. Because this place would light up in a few seconds considering that every bit of furniture is made of wood. He nibbled the end a little as the mans perspective would fade slightly. Nick chuckled every so slowly. His chuckle seemed to drag a little. Nick's eyes were glinting red, hinting that his bloodlust was somewhat big. He was calculating in his mind how to take this man on and end his life swiftly and quickly. He was glad that he killed the waitress, it would mean that he wouldn't get registered as a nukenin if he killed him.

Considering that he killed a person, and that Nick should have all rights to kill him back. Hell, he might be even called a hero. That certainly would be nice. A smirk appeared on the face of Nick as a kunai dropped from his sleeve into the grasp of his hand. It was then resting in the palm of his hand. Nick pointed the kunai towards the head of the man. A slight slither of flint would find his target. It was showtime. Nick tried to calculate his movements. The giant man stood up and dashed towards, effectively dodging the flint that was headed towards him. Nick ducked behind the counter as the giant hulk smashed into the wooden tiles. A small-sized crated was left behind. The hulk-man groaned and was about to dive towards Nick again. Nick threw his kunai towards his neck, he already knew that he was diving for him when he threw his knife a few seconds ago. He wasn't extremely precise but it punctured a wound on his upper neck which made the giant hulk more angry.

Nick was by no means weak -- But he wouldn't want to fight someone that bulky. He doubt he'd hurt him if he landed a punch on him since he was quite massive. Nick groaned mildly, his flint chasing after his neck as he was about to be dove on. He jumped on the counter of the restaurant and jumped backwards. The hulk man crashed into the counter. His flint got close to him. Nick grinned and dove on top of an empty table. He snapped his fingers and whispered with a shallow tone.

"Bonne nuit"

A light would follow his finger tips, over the flint followed by an explosion near the head of the hulk man. A shroud of black mist. The hulk man stood still. Nick wondered if it finished him off. He knew his jutsu caused not a lot of damage, but the explosion was near his head. He hoped it busted out his eyes. The smoke would clear a second or two later. A big black mark was covering half the face of the hulk man. His eyes were red. He was seriously angry. Nick raised his brow slightly. He needed to increase his fire power to defeat this man. Ever since he became C-rank he felt more weaker then usual. Maybe it was time for him to adapt and adjust? Become stronger.

This was his first test in life, he thought. The hulk flickered towards Nick. Nick gritted his teeth and twisted his body to dodge his punch. Nick succeeded in doing so, he latched his finger on the leather pants of the giant hulk. The hulks fist was stuck in the wall, about a meter in. Nick saw an 'opening' and decided to use it to his advantage. He got his head close to the buns. You could say that his head was in a place where the sun don't shine. He molded chakra in his mouth and spewed it up a long hose. Not wanting to set fire up the place. He jumped backwards and ignite the odor that followed from his lips. Instantly incarnating the insides of the hulk man.

Cause of death? A case of fire-ass.

TL:DR; Crazy hulk man causes commotion, kills a waiter. Nick steps in and kills him by blowing fire up his ass.

Mikage

Mikage

D-rank
The two were certainly a strange match. There was no wonder why some people still had their curious gazes trained on Mikage and her companion, despite the fact that they had been seated for quite some time now. It seemed that when one talked, the other would have their attention diverted, and vice versa. A strange conversation indeed, where neither party would come out of it with a full understanding of what just occurred. It really was an annoyance to see Nick paying little attention to her words, but the feeling of annoyance would disappear the moment Nick began to speak, as Mikage would be distracted one way or another. Either way, she had given her opinion about going to Kirigakure - hopefully that was the end of that.

Her hand slipped back down to her side at his suggestion of reading the menu first, eyeing the one in front of her. Meeeh. She'll just put her finger down and choose whichever dish her finger landed on later, when the waitress got here. There was no point in studying it seriously beforehand - she was unfamiliar with the popular dishes in Sunagakure anyways, it wouldn't matter what she chose. Across the table, Nick seemed to be engrossed in deciding what he would order. Curious. She never really understood that big deal about food - sure, she ate it as a necessity to keep herself alive, to fill her empty stomach, but she didn't quite understand the difference between different types of food, and the amount of choice put into it. She sat in silence for a while, entertaining herself by swinging her legs under the table ever so slightly, careful not to kick the person sitting across for her. Not only did the ringing of the bells reassure her, she occupied herself by mapping out the area around her, all the while keeping her eyes trained on the menu. It was a relatively small shop, but full of tables - enough to be cozy, yet not enough to really be considered crowded. A waitress was serving guests two tables down, with the table behind them unoccupied.

Pulled out of her little observations, lilac eyes flickered back up to Nick's face, taking a while to process the questions he suddenly launched at her. Tell him a bit about herself … she didn't like talking about herself. "Self" was a concept that Mikage had yet to fully acknowledge, something she didn't quite embrace. It was something that played into her reasoning behind speaking in third person - though that reason was now long gone from her irrational mind, the third-person referral now a habit more than anything. The foods she enjoyed, colors, hobbies … there was a time where she could answer all those honestly. A long time ago, when her sister was still by her side. When the two could laugh and point out the differences between them - one liked warm colours while the other preferred cooler colours. But she could not longer remember those things. Mikage could still come up with an answer now. Things that she could recite. She liked cute things, bunnies, animal plushies. Food - sweet things, snacks, ice cream. She opened her mouth to answer, but the same sound that caught Nick's attention made her turn her head, openly staring at the situation that was unfolding.

Unnecessary yelling. Thumping around. Noise in general. And then the man reached out, grabbing at the waitress who was attempting to diffuse the situation. She could almost see the force being used in that simple maneuveur, the slight bulge of the woman's eyes before her head ultimately gave out, exploding from the massive amount of pressure used. Wide, curious eyes continued to watch, unflinchingly, simply … interested.

Mikage felt it. That sudden movement as something solid slipped into the palm of Nick's hand - slightly delayed, as the sound waves had to make it around the solid surface of the table, but she felt it nonetheless. Looks like her companion wouldn't join the others in fleeing. Quite curious, now that she thought about it. If he had enough guts to take on this huge man, while couldn't he dig himself out of the sand earlier? The man charged. Mikage skipped out of her chair, taking several light hops back to clear the way for what appeared to be a moving bulldozer heading their way. There was no need for her to be concerned, it was clear that the man's target was Nick. The fight began with Nick simply dodging that giant man's strikes - heavy strikes that cause a massive amount of damage wherever his fists landed. Hopping onto the bar counter to get a better view, her sensory waves picked up on something small whizzing through the air, not quite visible to her. Instead of continuing to monitor the fight, she began devoting her attention to tracking down this rapidly moving item, realizing that it was mainly remaining in the vicinity of the fight. Was it a weapon, or some sort?

Boom.

Ah, there was her answer. It served as a trigger of some sort, a source of an explosion. A soft giggle escaped her list as she watched a black cloud envelop the giant man's head. But it wasn't over yet. A sudden whisper from the door made her head turn, spotting one of the braver waitresses beckoning towards her, as though wanting to convince her to get to safety. A smile lit up Mikage's face, and she shook her head, lifting a finger up to her lips in a "shh" gesture, then pointing at the fight, as though telling the woman not to interrupt the show. She wanted to see the end of this, see how Nick would ultimately fare against this giant. The scene she looked back to was rather odd, with Nick seemingly in a rather awkward position. Her grin widened as she realized what was about to happen. Fire. It wasn't really her element of choice, but at that moment, fire seemed like quite the fun element to play with.

Leaving her rabbit plushie in her lap,  Mikage lifted her hands in applause even while wrinkling her nose at the smell of burned flesh. "Mister, you really know how to play well ~ Mikage likes that." She would call to him, grabbing her plushie before hopping off the counter, wandering curiously towards what remained of the man. It was an ugly sight to behold, particularly in his lower regions, but the girl seemed fascinated by it.

"So … Mikage's still hungry." A rather comical statement would follow after the pause she spent inspecting the dead body. Most people - particularly her age or younger - would have felt queasy after seeing what had just occurred. Thrown up, even. But it was as though she had registered the situation, seen the results, and moved on, ready to tend to her growling stomach. "Do you think they'll cook the rest of this man?" A soft giggle would be let out before she looked towards the door - where it would become apparent that no one was ready to re-enter the restaurant quite yet. "Let's go somewhere else to eat!"

Nick dusted off his shoulders. The face of the defeated hulk man laying on the ground was quite a sight to see. It gave him a slight smile on his face. Killing was something Nick enjoyed as a sport. He crackled his knuckles a little as he shifted his attention back to Mikage, who had seemed to be watching the spectacle. His smirk became a little bit bigger. He had guessed that she had ran away by now, but she stayed and actually enjoyed the show to a certain extent. Nick chuckled once again and scratched the back of his head.

"Fire, huh?"

He looked at his hand as he formed it into a fist. Fire indeed was his passion. Just like lobster and apples. He noticed that there was a slight fire going on behind the hulk-man. On the table he was laying on. It was a good idea if they would leave quickly at this point.

"Nawh, I don't think they'll cook him up. The taste of humans isn't very appealing to other humans, ya know."

Nick said as he groaned and grabbed a bottle of scotch behind the bar and got back up. Noticing the fire had spread a little more. Some concerned citizens were looking through the window, wondering what was going on. He chuckled at Mikage's remark before adjusting his coat.

"Hehe, good idea, Mika! I know just the place!"

Nick said as their adventurous comedic story would go on.
