Another day, another mission; this time Julian was in charge of helping soldiers from the land of fire to set up camps. These camps were supposed to be for the testing of communication devices, though the reason for having camps for that objective escaped Julian. As per his usual he arrived at the Administration office a bit before mid-day to pick up the details of his mission. It was a nice day in Konoha and like most days the sun beat down on the village from above with nary a cloud in the sky, due to this mission being yet another ‘gopher’ mission as Julian called it he was dressed casually. Wearing a white undershirt and a pair of mesh blue gym shorts he arrived looking rather relaxed and stifled a yawn with his hand. After that his hand shot up to adjust his headband which currently covered his right eye.
Yet again the man who gave him the instructions talked his ears off, bumbling on and on about useless mission in an attempt to either connect with the young genin or alleviate his own boredom. Regardless, Julian spaced out for most of this and accepted the mission with a nod, after getting the important information about where he would meet the soldiers. This was to be his second mission helping out the army of the Land of Fire, but this time it was slightly more important than delivering ice cream. In no rush this time Julian walked among the crowds and made his way to the gate where the squad of soldiers would be. It did not take him a big amount of time and the sun had not even reached the peak of it’s climb before he arrived and met with the six people he would be working with today. There was four males and two females, each with various hair colors lengths, facial features, and body types. The only thing that tied the six together was the uniform, and that allowed Julian to know these were the people he was expected to work with. Sighing internally the young genin raised his hand in a wave towards them and spoke “Hello, I am Julian” his voice sounded like a breeze that filtered through a peaceful forest. This elicited a response from the group in the form of smiles and replies of hello back. Then the soldiers introduced themselves, Kisuke, Dori, Nori, Glaive, Hito, and Ushida were their names and they all seemed rather nice.
Not long after the group set out towars the site to make camp, they each carried various supplies and it seemed like Julian was the one to carry most of the radio equipment, it made him slightly nervous but also pleased that such a duty was delegated to him. It was fair after all, even though he was a genin today he did not doubt that soon he would rise to the rank of Chuunin but he had no plans to stop there of course. Still it was nice to think about the future while doing something as banal as walking, not that he needed to think for long for before the sun had crossed a quarter of the way back down he arrived at the site. Luckily it did not take them long to set up, else Julian would have thought about walking back in the dark. It was much less cheerful than walking in the day time and frankly the dark spurred up old memories when he was out in the forest. Thanking the soldiers he gave a lazy salute and returned towards the village in order to receive his reward for the mission well done.
