Ryuja had just arrived in Iwagakure, yet he was not inside of the village. He did not know if he could contain the beast within for too long. Which only bothered his mind. Hurting people was not something he wanted so maybe it was better he kept his distance for now. Ryuja was just simply looking around at everything, trying to absorb as much of it as he could. Ryuja made a mental note of everything around him from the way the wind blows and the way the air smelled. It all seemed so peaceful, which made his heart flutter. The sun was still high in the sky on this day, beaming down upon the earth. The warmth of it was so inviting he could not but to help but to lean his head back and enjoy it. A small smile formed upon his face, which quickly faded upon a terrible howl. Ryuja could tell something was in pain, and wanted to check it out.

The howls of pain however did not end quickly, they only became louder and more desperate. Ryuja was running in the direction of the noise, desperately trying to help whatever was in need. Upon arrival he looked upon a bear that had its leg in a bear trap. The mighty metal teeth pierced through the bears skin, making one mighty blood mess. Ryuja held his hands up as an attempt to tell the bear he means no harm.

"Do not worry friend, I shall free you", he said in a low calm tone to the beast before him. Ryuja knew the bear couldnt speak his language yet it seemed to calm the bear down. Ryuja knelt down and pried the bear trap ajar and off of the bears leg. Though the moment he did, large amounts of blood poured out from the fresh open wound. The bear began to thrash around in pain, howling louder. For a moment it seemed the bear would attack him, yet Ryuja was not afraid to die. The bear attempted to run far away probably back to its den, but only made a couple of steps before falling down. Ryuja came up next to the bear smiling.

"Do not fear my friend, I shall help.", he spoke to the bear with tears in its eyes. Ryuja then put one hand upon the bear's forehead and began to use his Anti-Somatic Pain jutsu to levitate some of the pain from the bear. When he did that the bear seemed to calm down. Now that it was more compliant, Ryuja placed his other hand over the bears wound and began to use Healing hands. Slowly the bears leg began to stick back up. Closing off the wound. It took almost half an hour to get the bear back to its original state. When he was done he let go of the bear and smiled.

"Careful next time, I wont be there to save you forever.", he said to the creature who just licked him on his face to show affection. It warmed his heart to know he helped something. Ryuja gave it a small pat on the back before it ran off. All Ryuja could do is smile at the fact that he might be one step closer in finding his true calling.

"And they call us barbarians....."

Akane had followed the scent through the woods. It was masculine , young and flowing with nature chakra. Something that defiantly needed to be inspected. After all it was rare in this day and age to bump into one of Akane's kind though Iwa had become somewhat of a refuge for the people of the wilds due to it's harsh mountainous terrain barring hunting parties with unseen drops and frequent landslides and cave-ins.

The bear trap was easily identifiable she had seen what happened to those animals who were unlucky enough to fall into it's grasp. There was something undeniably cruel about the construct as it simply left the animal to suffer an unspecified amount before being killed. It could go on for days with the wound growing infected and septic causing horrible pain. Akane had killed many animals in her time including bears but it was the quick honest kill of the hunt not the slow impersonal death given by machines.

Her prey were quickly put out of their misery and she thanked the spirits of the animals for giving her food to nourish her. Well some animals, those that bit or slashed her too much usually just got a few curses but she was sure that their next incarnation would be just fine so it was no big deal.

After the trap she further studied the young man next to the bear. Well built and athletic he was not unpleasant to the eyes. She was somewhat surprised at his hair though as instead of reddy orange of a pure-blood he had the darker tone of a halfbreed.

To be completely honest he reminded Akane a lot of her half sister Tei. She was also of mixed ancestry and she spent a good deal of her time focusing on healing others. Or at least she used to before she had killed their father and disappeared off to gods know where.

"How about we wait until the bastards that set this come back and then knock out a few teeth out to show them what their cowardice has earned?"

"How about we wait until the bastards that set this come back and then knock out a few teeth out to show them what their cowardice has earned?"

Ryuja was slightly shocked to hear a feminine voice all the way out here. Looking behind him, only made him more shocked. A beautiful woman stood before him, her reddish hair seemed to shine in this bright light.  For a moment he was almost stunned by the beauty. Ryuja looked up and down her body enjoying the view before getting closer to speak to her, thinking of what she said.

"As fun as that sounds I think i will have to pass. Judging by the rust on that trap the ones who left it there probably wont come back for awhile. Now on a more interesting subject, are you like me?"

Ryuja could feel the natural chakra flowing within her body like his. He knew the answer to his question, yet he did not know much of this world, maybe there are people who have natural chakra and are not like him. He had only known of his father being like him, a monster to some just to be hunted down like ravenous animals. Oh how he hated that feeling of being a monster to people, when even he would help people they would treat him like a monster when they knew of what he was. Ryuja placed one hand on his side looking at the woman deeply before speaking again.

"I have never met someone else like me other than my father. What are the odds that the moment I start this journey that i would find another one so soon, especially one so beautiful. What brings you out to these parts?"

The sound of an animal's cry of pain had been what had drawn Tei out of her place of hiding, in the hopes of possibly gathering fresh materials. Bear intestines could be useful for the experiment that she was currently doing and she had needed to go out to gather supplies anyway. Of course it wasn’t her trap. Her traps were less obvious and for smaller prey, not that she used them much save for food.  If she needed parts of a larger animal she would go after it herself, but a helpless animal was enticing. It was both a shame and a blessing that she wasn’t the first to make it to the creature.

She had almost turned away when she saw the pair already there before the great bear. She had no interest in being discovered by an Iwagakure shinobi at this time. There was no need for it, particularly when she had her experiments calling her attention. But then again, the pair who were already there did have interesting traits to them. She slipped a little closer, easily keeping herself concealed and a smirk formed on her face. Akane… She hadn’t seen her half-sister since the younger woman had witnessed the murder of their father at Tei’s hands. Perhaps it would be interesting to play a little with her and the man that was in front of her.

The boy was a new face to her, but according to their conversation he was new to the area. That was pleasing. After all, if he was new to the area there wouldn’t be a single reason for him to recognize her as the notorious head-medical shinobi that had abandoned Iwagakure in favor for her less than tasteful experiments on corpses. She had killed quite a few people as she had left and she’d been quite skilled at avoiding all those who would have planned to come after her in the mountains that had become her home.

Slipping her headband off, the one that marked her as one who had abandoned Iwagakure, and removing the bandage that was wrapped around her head below it, Tei allowed her hair to fall out of it's usual style and into one less well known by those who knew her, tucking the items into the bag at her waist.  She rummaged in her bag for just a moment more before pulling out the blank headband that she used on occasions that she didn’t want to be recognized and tied it around her neck. She observed for only a few seconds more before pulling up the hood of her armor to hide her face and stepped towards them. It was risky. There was a chance that Akane would recognize who she was, but she was relying on the fact that her sister had never seen her in this armor.

"Interesting..." She drawled out as she approached. "A pair willing to help a trapped animal when they come across it. Such kind hearts you have… particularly with what you are..." She paused, allowing the pair to observe her and calculate whether she was a threat or not. "Bit of a pity you released it. It could have been useful...” She muttered looking after the bear, glad that the sent of it's blood was still heavy in the air. It would be easy to track when this was all over to get what she wanted.

Akane had thought herself clueless when it came to knowledge of her clan. She knew none of the ancient rites that would let her commune with specific spirits and her progress as a shaman priestess of the clan had been touch and go to say the least. She couldn't speak the language of her grandparents and this caused the souls of her ancestors to look upon her in shame.

However this man knew even less than she did. He had no idea who or what he was and that spoke to her of exactly how in disarray they were as a people. Really it was the fault of the Anbu - those masked hypocrites who served the Kages as their brutal secret police. They enforced their draconian measures on the world and  Akane wanted to kill every single one of them. The amount of Jugo blood shed by their hands was immense : fathers , mothers , sons and daughters all fell to their 'Justice'. It was they who deserved to be put in such traps and left to rot. Their myriad cruelties paid back to them tenfold.

Akane felt goosebumps begin to raise on her flesh and she fought to calm herself down as the claws began to burst through her skin. It was hard to do and she already could see herself in her minds eye tearing through the Anbu's skin and flesh...

But not now. If one of them went berserk the rest would follow and then it would attract attention. Unneeded attention that could potentially lead to their deaths.

Replying to the young man Akane spoke:

"Well I don't believe in chance. The gods play with us all and I just to happened to get wind of your scent. You see members of our kind - yes there are more of us, tend to have chakra that feels different from other peoples more in tune with the world. That's how I found you. It's something that you'll learn to pick up on with time."

To the new figure Akane spun on her heels. Her eyes narrowed. This one exuded an aura of power - she could easily have been an elder with her skills though Akane suspected that she was not the traditionalist type based on her words. This presence far more than her mostly veiled  physical appearance gave the young woman pause. Akane wasn't sure what the newcomer was implying with the term "use" but she was not to be messed with unless Akane really had to. However she wasn't just going to sit there and just be called a bleeding heart without response.

" A kind heart? I don't think the families of the guards I killed last month would think that. Not that they were any better of course and I sure as hell don't regret ripping their throats out and pissing down the open holes. They were bullies and bastards that abused their power over others. I only ate one dog and the jackasses tired to beat me to death in the street with cudgels."

Akane knew that she was ranting. Other than Ayabozu (A man she had met recently and had formed a tentative alliance with) she had very little in the way of human contact and she was poor at containing her temper at the best of times.

She shut her mouth biting into her cheek with sharp fangs drawing a salty taste as the lining was easily sundered.

Her piece had been said and she wanted see how the others responded.

Ryuja turned and faced another person, dressed in some pretty scary armor. For a second he thought it was some guy, but after the person spoke it became clear that it was a female. Seems his luck is increasing, not only has he found some human interactions in this desolate place, but two females. Ryuja took a moment to enjoy the moment while it lasted. Though the new one that showed up did not introduce herself, then again none of them had. He looked back and forth between the two and figured them to not be a threat, only for the fact both of them seemed strong enough to kill him without him knowing. Ryuja heard one of them speak about how they had a kind heart, while the other one spoke about eating dogs and bashing skulls. Quite an interesting group he had in his presence. Ryuja cleared his throat to speak in a firmly voice, If by kind heart you mean I do not indulge in the killing of something weaker than I, then yes I do have a kind heart. I only seek that which is stronger and try to overcome it. I do not think I introduced myself yet, I am Ryuja, tis a pleasure to meet both of you beauties. I have just started my journey, I am currently looking for work. Would either of you know where I could find something...... Not stressful? I could really use the Ryo."

Ryuja felt some sort of connection with the two of them, it was almost heart warming. Then it happened, his heart started to pound and his blood was feeling hot.

Do not lose your cool in front of these two, COME ON DAMNIT

Ryuja took a deep breath as if he was not trying to control the monster that lurked within. Within a few seconds he felt better and kept looking at them. His social skills were poor at the best and now before him stood two beauties sweating like a dog in heat. Damn it was hot out here. He did however not know much about his clan, his father would never speak much of his side of the family. His father would just come home and beat him until he calmed down and cried. While his mother would heal his wounds and tell him that they did love him. His childhood was quite an interesting ride for him, it caused him to not like people, maybe these ones were different and would not judge him as hard as others did.

The reactions that she received from the two before her could not have been more opposite. The boy seemed to accept it, while Akane seemed to take it completely as an offense. It was almost laughable, and had she no sanity left she would have laughed at the both of them, amused. However because she did still have a modicum of sanity left she settled for a smirk behind the mask of her armor. She paused in her approach, observing them for another moment, taking their threat level into consideration just one more time before she dove headlong into discussing things with the two. However, neither of them seemed to have a very high threat level though her sister did look like she had grown stronger over the time that they had been apart.

“There is a difference between being kind to humans and being kind to animals. Humans are all intelligent, at least in some manner. So, they usually all have the ability to display the same amount of cruelty that you are able to display, though whether they are able to defeat you depends on strength and wit. With animals this is rarely so. They rely on brute strength and instinct, not intelligence to get what they need. It is why we hunt them. Because they cannot do anything against what to us are simple traps. You speak of people who abuse their power. However isn’t that what all humans do? What all shinobi do? We are selfish by nature, snatching power up wherever we can find it. “ Tei paused, her eyes narrowing further as she watched the two for their reactions.

“You showed compassion to the bear when others would simply pass by or the trapped animal as an opportunity for an even easier easy catch or kill. You,“ Tei motioned to the boy and took a few steps forwards kneeling next to the trap and running her fingers along it, taking the blood onto her fingers and rubbing it between them observing the texture, holding it to her nose to make sure she remembered the scent, “healed the bears wounds though the scent of its blood still lingers in the air marking it still as a target. While you,” She motioned to her sister and stood up again, “offer the opportunity of getting revenge for the animal that could not defend itself because you see them as barbaric when they were just hunting a weaker creature. You seem to have a problem with the natural order of how life progresses. Forgive me if when I observed this that I came to the conclusion that you were kind hearted. However, being kind hearted does not mean that you are capable of considerable destruction. It is simply rare with people of the Jugo line.”  Tei quipped as she observed her sister calculatingly, wondering just how far she would be able to push her until she snapped.

Finished with replying to her sister, Tei looked at the boy studying him and considering his words. “You can’t see my features, and do not know my age, and yet you call me a beauty as well. You’re quite forward. You might want to work on biting that quick tongue of yours before it gets you in to trouble.” Her reply held a note that was more of a scolding note than a threat, but it could easily be either. “You should also not be so quick to hand out your name, though I suppose one who has no reason to keep his name hidden wouldn’t. It’s a pleasure to meet someone who has your potential Ryuja.” She said gently a light chuckle on her voice. This whole interaction was entertaining and she found it easy to stay in control in front of the two of them. After all, she wasn't the one feeling threatened. Perhaps she could take advantage of the fact that he was looking for work. “Perhaps I could offer you an apprenticeship, it would be much similar to traditional work only you would be learning useful skills to rather than things only idiots would do again.”

The strangers words burned. It was true to an extent the laws of the wild were harsh and the laws that governed towns and cities were simply smaller versions of this. Perhaps she was a hypocrite only complaining because she was the one getting the short end of the deal. If what she wanted was granted then all the weak ones in the cities would be the ones being preyed upon.

The stranger had not exactly suggested that she should care for no-one or nothing but the way that her words came across it damn well felt like it. Indeed she felt like a fool when confronted with the strangers logic. Should she apply the laws of the wild to all things? Should she view those in the cites who had beaten and battered her as a sign that she was unfit to live in this world.

No

She couldn't accept matters that way. If that was the case she needed to gain more power until she could tear down buildings and rend the very roads that they used asunder. Become a literal monster in every sense of the word. The irony of this was rich and not lost on her. The only way to win was to become what they accused her of being and by doing it even better than they thought possible.

Akane's eyes narrowed to slits. This stranger was powerful by the logic of nature that made her views right. It did not make Akane feel any better however.

"I'm not a shinobi. I went to a shinobi school but all I found there was useless rules. Rules and fear. Fear of things that they did not understand and could not control. I guess you could call me a drifter and if I do work for money it's not because its my job but because liquor doesn't spring forth from the earth and you can only steal so much before they catch onto you."

Akane took a deep breath filling her lungs and then exhaling.

She turned towards Ryuja.

"My name is Akane. As far as a moral code or creed goes I guess I can't give you one yet because I simply don't have one firm enough to share with others. I see where the elder is coming from and I guess I am in some ways a hypocrite."

The anger that always seemed so close to bubbling up to the surface seemed to be lowering. The flames dying as the feeling in her stomach became a hollow pit that stretched into forever. She needed to think more on these matters. She needed to figure out if the way of nature was the way she was to do things.

Was it her way ?

Time would tell.

One thing she did know however was that the anger missing was a bad thing. She needed her rage - it was what kept her going. She needed to press on forward. She would stay with the pair until she could kindle her flame again. Without her anger she would never handle the wild.

"I think I'll stay a bit. After all this seems interesting and as you may have figured out while I hate civilisation I wouldn't spit on the chance to make some ryo for a drink."

Ryuja stood there before these two new people perplexed by their words. One still has not addressed herself and spoke in a cold manner. While the other one, the one named Akane, seemed to have been bullied by people likes his father was. He could sympathize with her on those. Ryuja did not know much of this world yet but he was trying to absorb all the information he could from these two while he was still sane. Clearing his throat he replied to the one in the armor.

"I do not agree with you when it comes to hunting animals. Sure I could have ripped out its throat with my teeth and danced in it's entrails, yet that is not who I am. I do not have the need to kill something weaker than I, which is why I did not. My only purpose is to find those that are stronger than I and fight them. What would have been the point in me attacking something so helpless, so weak. It disgusts me to the point of vomit. People who are strong should not abuse their power on those they deem weaker than themselves."

Ryuja had a small flash back while they were speaking of his father coming home just to beat him to quell his rage. It is true that he was weaker, yet his father never did it to prove dominance. Ryuja would smile with each blow accepting them so his mother would be safe until he calmed down. Slightly shaking his head to remove the memories he spoke again.

"Tis true Ive never seen your face nor do I know who you are, yet I know you are beautiful. I can say this with certainty because I find everything in this world beautiful in their own way. I will gladly speak my name to any because I do not have to hide behind a mask like a scared child, nor will I dishonor my family that gave me this name."

Ryuja scratched his chin slightly while speaking, he could feel his blood starting to boil deep inside of him. The feeling was starting to become stronger with the passing second.

"On to more important subjects, you say you would take me as an apprentice? Yet you know nothing about me, how do you know I would not try to kill you in your sleep? Do you have such power that you can keep me at bay if times get rough? I am only searching for my purpose in this life now that I am alone. You speak about Jugo as if you know, are you like me?

Ryuja turned to the one called Akane to speak to her, with a small smirk.

"Akane, what a beautiful name. Thank you."

Ryuja slightly lowered his head to show appreciation to this one.

"Honestly, I think I would enjoy being your apprentice. I am sure you know more about this world than I do, yet if you want me to hunt down something weaker than I, then i am no help to you. I only live to fight those who are stronger to beat them. If you can promise me glorious fights, then I shall gladly follow you to the ends of the earth and back.

“Judging by your appearance, you’re a couple years younger than me, Akane.” Tei replied once her sister had revealed her name and responded, not revealing that she knew the woman's exact age. “A moral creed is something that you still have time to develop and grow once you have a truly life changing experiance. A moral creed though, is not something to take lightly, nor is what I just voiced my own moral law. What I voiced is the unfortunate rule of the world at its bare minimum. People and animals pray on the weak or what they do not understand to get ahead one the world, and if you are under them they will step on you or use you as a tool. My personal creed is something, that, like my name and true presence in this world will remain secret until I see fit to tell you.” Tei’s eyes narrowed. She had been used in order to learn this the hard way. Played by a series of unfortunate events.

As a child she and Akane’s father had saved her from her burning home and played the role of a savior. He had taken her to Iwagakure and let her blossom into a shinobi of the village. She had been so naïve to believe that what he told her was true, and it had taken him telling her the truth for her to realize that her whole life had been a farse. That her father, her ‘savior’ had actually been the one who had killed her brothers and her mother, the one who set the very fire that had scared her face and had threatened her life. That he had been sent by the very village she had pledged herself to to kill her mother for abandoning Iwagakure in favor of saving the half-blooded Jugo child in her womb.

Tei felt her blood boiling at the thoughts that entered her mind from what she voiced herself, her face twisting behind the mask into a snarl and she bit down on her lip hard enough to draw blood in order to keep herself steady, to keep her concentration on the two younger people in front of her rather than on her own rage and she managed a laugh at Ryuja’s questions. “You question me? I saw you display promise with medical ninjutsu and you ask me why I would talk you as an apprentice? You have potential Ryuja. However, let me make this clear. At this current moment in time, should you attempt to kill me in my sleep, or at any time until you are stronger or equal in strength to me. You will fail miserably, and I will not hesitate to rip out your throat and use your body in what many would consider an unsightly manner.” And she was honest in that, not keeping any manner of what she said soothing. There was no need to have a kind bedside manner. If he wanted a master like she was, he would have to learn fast that she was not one to be played with. She sighed at the last question before answering him. “Yes. I am one of Jugo genetics.”

At the next few words from the younger Jugo’s mouth, Tei paused, a little unhappy. Sometimes hunting weak things was necessary. “Hunting down things weaker than I is not something I commonly do unless I have need of something I possess.” She paused. “Like that bear. I’ll be honest. That wasn’t my trap, but after I leave you, I will hunt it or another, whichever I come across first. I’d like to use the bear’s intestines for something.” She stopped there, not explaining what the intestines were for. For all they knew the intestines could be used for sausage. She needed to keep what she would truly use them for secret. After all, if she was honest it was likely that Akane would put two and two together about who she was. Not that she had ever told her half-sister of the horrors that were her experiments, but she had no doubt that rumors had run rampant through Iwagakure after she had abandoned the village and her post as the head of the medical core. “I can promise you glorious fights, as well as training in medical ninjutsu and other areas. For now you may call me Shitai, though I will be honest once more. That is not my real name, like I said before, I will not tell you who I truly am until I see fit to do so because there is a chance you likely know who I am and I would rather you get to know whether you like being in my presence or not before you allow biases that you either formed on your own or heard from other people to cloud your own personal judgment.”

Shitai was a strange one. All her moves seemed to be clam and indeed calculated to a degree that was not often found within her people. One could almost call her ... cold - if such a thing was possible for one with the very essence of primordial chaos running through her veins. The sour feeling that Akane had gotten was beginning to wear off. After all the choices that she would need to make for the future were indeed distant and who needed to fret and worry about a moral compass when one might quite easily kneel over dead in the road tomorrow.

Ryuja was a different story however. He had honour - not the kind of honour found in the samurai communities. The blind allegiance to ones lord and the name and family title which allowed one to kill civilians with impunity if they gave anything close to even imagined slights. But rather the visage of the noble hunter one that acts for the sheer thrill of taking down a quarry far grander than ones self and living truly in the moment. Akane could appreciate the sacrifice that Ryuja was to make becoming her apprentice. Innocence as well as several other important things would be lost along the way even as his powers in medical ninjutsu were enhanced. But this was his price to pay and she was no more going to tell him how to live his life than she would accept from another. Looking back on Shitai's words they were strange in so fact that they had done so much to her usually unassailable defiance towards the world as a whole. She was one to be watched.

Flexing one arm out towards the sky Akane began to stretch her body for the transformation that was about to take place. She did not want a bout of cramps to hit mid metamorphosis as that was hellishly painful as she had learnt in the past. Hearing her spine click into all the right places she bent down onto all fours and let the transformation's grip take her over.

Flesh moved and swirled roiling like an ocean caught in the midst of a terrible storm. Though this was not one of the more major efforts she wanted to adjust her body slightly to make the trip into town somewhat more quick and thus in this case four legs was better than two. Of course she would have to transform back before they arrived taking the guise of an Inuzuka to allay the locals suspicions.

Once the process had wrapped itself up she was ready for the cross country run. Her body structure now suited for the uneven terrain and able to propel her onwards at great speeds. Akane opened her mouth and began to speak to her two new companions.

“As a meeting such as this is rare at the best of times how about we push forward towards some civilisation and get ourselves something to ease our dry throats from the dust of the road. Don’t worry about the guards we’ll tell the shit eating assholes that we are a group of Inuzuka from Konoha . Hell I don’t think either of you even have the damn hair colour to tip the bastards off. With that we should be able to get at least a couple of rounds off before we need to split. Don’t want to be miserable sods now do we ?”

Akane finished her piece. Sure she did want to quaff some fine (or not so fine – it didn’t matter to her) booze . However she wanted to see what happened when the spirits stripped away their outer demeanours. Shitiai sure as hell had things to hide and Akane wanted to see how many she would spill when she had been drunken under the table. Ryuja too may spill something of interest though she doubted that he had nearly as many skeletons in his closet as Shitai so to speak.

Not waiting for a reply Akane was off in the direction of civilisation – if only for a time.

Ryuja listened to the words of the one named Shitai, they were cold and strong. Indeed it was not smart on his part to try and taunt one from the Jugo clan, but he had lost all fears long ago. Even his body has long lost all feeling it in, making it numb and cold even in this dry desert. It would be beyond wise for him to train under this Shitai person, even if he did not truly trust her words. For all he knew she could lead him down a dark ally and attack him. It was just one of those things he would have to bare with to lead him to power and glory of battle. He has been lost since leaving his home in burned ruins with only the smell of his family lingering in the air. Maybe, just maybe he could gain enough power to fill this void of uselessness. For now he would learn all he could from this one called Shitai, if she could fill his wildest dreams of power and the thrill of the hunt, then he could call her master. Though until then he would keep a skeptical eye upon her for her true intentions. Ryuja paused at the great marvel of one of his kin transforming. The one named Akane was transforming into a beast like creature that would walk upon all fours. Has to be because she is traveling somewhere, he thought while smiling at the might of his clan. Never in his wildest dreams would he have thought to have met two people that were kind of like him. Ryuja smiled at the moment, a small moment of acceptance. He knew that Shitai would not treat him like a monster as other humans did, that would prove to help him. Ryuja hated feeling like he is nothing but a monster. Akane spoke about getting some sort of drink. It was true that this hot air was starting to parch his mouth, though he was unsure as to if he should go into the village. Too many people near him could cause quite an interesting night. Ryuja would have to decline her nice offer.

"I am glad you are confident enough to kill me if needed. Sometimes I can not control myself as well as I should. From this moment forward I shall dedicate my life and power into serving you, Shitai. Please do not bore me, I do not wish for that. Also your name could mean less to me, so long as I have something to address you by other than master, I am fine. I would join you on this drink but I saw a nearby river a couple of miles back, I think I shall drink there. I do not do well near tons of people. I shall stay here and train for awhile. If my services are needed Shitai, I shall come along. If not, I shall stay here and train."

Ryuja scratched his chin as he waited for his new master to reply to him. He really did not want to lose himself in front of a large crowd and end up killing people who could not even fight back. Ryuja was not that kind of monster. Usually the only thing that could stir up the demons inside would be the thrill of the fight, which was almost provided by the one named Shitai. It was true that he could tell she would rip out his guts and dance within them, yet that was his downfall. He always sought to fight those stronger than his. It could very well be his downfall.
