Jun Chi Dragon_tribal_by_sunimo-d4fmplt
Clan: Jun Chi

Kekkei Genkai: /

Elements: Katon

Specialization: Ninjutsu

Location: Iwa

Clan History: The Jun Chi are an ancient clan, having formed long before the Age of Ninja; in the time of elemental sages and thousand religions. In this time, sages dedicated to individual elements thrived; with temples spread throughout the lands. The Jun Chi clan was always known for producing particularly adept fire monks, and more then a few High Fire Sages in those days. It was in those early days that they formed a sort of alliance with the Tsukino clan; sharing many of the same values as the Lightning Sages, if not always seeing eye to eye when it came to what skills where best used on the battlefield. Where as the Tsukino have always been unwavering in their usage of Fuuinjutsu, the Jun Chi have experimented with many different styles over the centuries. One thing has remained consistent since the time of the Rikudō Sennin; the Jun Chi have specialized in Ninjutsu in some form or another.

When the formation of the villages began, the Jun Chi found their ancestral lands on the Iwa side of the border. This has led to some... interesting problems ever the years. The clan is loyal to Iwa, always has been; but their closest allies reside and are loyal to another country. Watching the clan fight is... a treat, if they ever do. More often then not, they will refuse to fight each other; and more then one major conflict has been resolved by this. The clans are always more then willing to broker peace over being forced to fight each other.

Kekkei Genkai Description: Due to this clans long association with fire of all types; they have honed the use of the element to an art form rarely seen otherwise. Because of this, all clan members receive the ability to use Katon Jutsu ONLY of 1 rank higher then normal.

Drawbacks: No member of the Jun Chi may have Suiton as a specialty. This is due to the clans extreme affinity to Katon, as well as generations of repression of the elemental chakra whenever it appeared in the clan. Because of the clan's extreme affinity for Katon, Suiton attacks used against them do 1 rank higher damage then normal.

Members: Jun Chi, Houjin

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:
Name: Katon: Flame Whip
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Element: Katon
Range: Short (0-5m)
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: -5 chakra per post
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: The user focuses fire chakra into their hands; which is then formed into long whips of fire that the user may control as a weapon. The fire is hot enough to burn clothing and cause first degree burns if contact is made with unprotected flesh. If contact is maintained, a second degree burn forms after 2 posts. This jutsu may also be used as an ignition source for other jutsu.

Name: Flare Blitz
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Element: Katon
Range: Mid (5-15m)
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 3 post
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: A somewhat different jutsu, this is both a movement jutsu as well as a trap of sorts. The user focuses their fire chakra into their feet, which if done correctly will basically light said feet on fire. By focusing and forming the fire, they can create an almost jet-like effect, increasing movement speed by 50% for a maximum of three posts. Due to the nature of this jutsu, it leaves a trail of flame in the user's wake. This is useful for trapping opponents in walls of flame, or creating diversions in the form of the fire itself. Also useful as an ignition source for other jutsu. The flames created by this jutsu are of D-rank power, and cause damage appropriate for the rank; 1st degree contact burns and damage.

Name: Katon: Fire Dragon Bullet
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: Katon
Range: Short (0-5m), Mid (5-15m)
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: This jutsu requires that the user be able to create large volumes of fire very quickly, or else has access to a nearby source of flame. By infusing the fire with their chakra, the user is able to form the flame into a very large, extremely dense fire dragon. The beast is huge, fully 45 feet long. The user is able to aim the dragon with some precision, making this a far more deadly variant of the Suiton: Water Dragon Bullet. The dragon leaves a trail of flames in it's wake, which can be devastating in close quarters or areas full of a dry, flammable material. While the dragon has no truly solid form, the extreme heat causes massive burning to exposed flesh. A direct hit or sustained contact would cause third degree burns at the points of contact, radiating outward by 10%, with 2nd degree flash burns radiating outwards an addition 20%. Flames left in the wake of this jutsu at of C-rank power, causing 1st and mild 2nd degree burns on contact.

Unlocked for Shawn to rebalance (the drawbacks need a bit of redoing, is all). Jutsu may be modified if it is so desired.

No need to change the jutsu unless someone sees an issue with them. They're all custom, so I can see that happening after all the updates and re-balancing. Otherwise, adjusted the drawbacks. Re-approve whenever.

I'd like to see one more minor drawback.

Flare Blitz - Need to state the damage the flames would cause, in this case I think something similar to the Flame Whip is appropriate due to the speed boost.

Fire Dragon - "Extreme pain and shock are a given." Far too vague. Not entirely sold on the loss of consciousness and then the stun. Also, I'd remove the 25% chance of death, as there is no way to calculate such a thing.

Flare Blitz was never meant to be an outright attack; more a speed boost and show. Added the power of the flames as ask, however.

Removed the death, adjusted the burn amounts, and added the power of the flame trail for Fire Dragon Bullet.

Acceptable?

a +1 to katon power, as well as a +1 to katon useability, I feel isn't balanced a +1 weakness to suiton, and the inability to use suiton as an element(you are a Katon focused clan after all).

Fair. Would you kindly suggest an idea? I've been having problems with trying to re-balance the two clans I have up for reapproval; and I don't wish to fight it out anymore. @@

With all respect, i would like you to remove one of the two +1's in your positives, and this is the reason why, with this setup currently, it means that at Genin rank you are able to app and learn a B rank jutsu which receives +1, gaining A rank jutsu at D rank.

We don't generally accept +2's in most forms, and this is one of the stronger one's I've seen.

Removed the +1 power; reworded slightly to additionally clarify that only Katon-based jutsu receive the boost.

I do understand wanting to remove the extra boost; they don't need it now that the whole plot line based on the sage clans fell through and no one remembers it. @@

Anything else, dear mods?

I think the kkg ability and drawback is perfectly with in reason now.
Unless someone else has a problem they see I'll consider this approved.
