It was early in the morning. Seth had been abruptly awoken even before the break of dawn and called to the hospital.  The ninja had told him that he was needed at the hospital and to get their as fast as he could. They handed him a scroll that had been hastily written explaining that a group of ninja were ambushed and had comeback in critical condition. The medical staff was all working on saving their lives. They had sent for all shinobi currently at the village with medical training to come and assist with the everyday jobs until the ninja in the emergency room had reached a stable condition. Seth quickly got dress and grabbing some of his father’s old medicine and medical ninjutsu books he made his way to the hospital.

 Seth, upon arrival at the hospital found was greeted by a girl that was waiting at the entrance. She look to be just a few years older than himself. She had orange hair that reached just past her shoulders. She also wore the white coat only worn by members of the medical corps and doctors at the hospital. “Grettings, are you one of the ninja called here to help us out” She said to Seth holding up a list, that Seth assumed was of the names of those coming to help. “Yes my name is Lualdi, Seth but please just call me Seth” he replied giving her a bow of respect one give to those learned in the medical field. She responded to this with a nod looking at the list she carried in her hands. “My name is Marina, It is nice to meet you Seth” she said checking his name off on the list. “As I am sure you have heard, we are currently very understaffed due to the emergency. It is my job to make sure you know what you need to do” Marina said handing Seth a piece of paper. “You will not be expected to perform any extensive surgeries however, there are a few patients coming in for checkups that we would like for you to perform. That piece of paper there is your time schedule for the day. You will get a break for lunch otherwise, if you are not performing a checkup you are to be at the desk in the emergency room. It will just be your job to deal with injuries that are not life threatening. Basically help those you can help or bring them to me. Did you get all of that?” she said in a rush needing to get back to her station. “Got it” Seth told her giving her thumbs up. “I will do my best.”

Seth had no down time before his first scheduled patient was supposed to arrive. He was to meet them on the second floor room 232 at half past eight. It was currently a quarter past eight and Seth wanted to be sure to read his patient’s file before he arrived.  After going to the room he would be performing the checkup in, Seth took out the file to read over. The patient’s name was Selina Chozaku. She was 32 years old and expecting a child. The reason for her checkup was to make sure she was progressing as expected. She was also due for some shots. While reading over a past checkup there was a knocking at the door. “Come on in, the door is not locked” Seth called in response to the knocking. “Excuse me I am here for my appointment” a lady said opening the door who Seth recognized as Selina from her picture in the file. “Ah good, I have been waiting for you. Please come and sit over here” Seth said beckoning for her to sit. “From your file I read that you are expecting. Have you been experiencing any unusual pains, anything out of the normal?” he said reading a pencil and paper to write down on. “Well, I am not sure if this is out of the norm for when someone is pregnant, but I have been experiencing pain in the mornings when I wake up. Is that normal?” she asked with a worried look. Smiling to reassure her Seth responded saying “That be expected at this point of the pregnancy, you have nothing to worry about. Now if that is the only question you have please uncover your belly so I can measure the growth of the child.” Nodding Selina nodded and lifted her shirt showing Seth her stomach. Seth took a measuring tape and wrapped it around her measuring her width. She had grown about an inch since her last checkup. “Good news you are right on track. Now I just got to give you a quick shot and you can leave” Seth told her pulling out the shot he had prepared earlier. Seth took her arm and quickly administered the treatment. “Thank you” she said to him smiling on her way out. 
 Seth smiled to himself. His Father would have done stuff like this every day when he was alive. Seth could picture him working in rooms like this one helping the sick and the needy, saving lives. Many of the people of Konoha over the age of 12 had been treated by his dad at some point or another. Somehow doing this made Seth feel closer to his dad, like he was standing over him as he worked. Seth  sighed and grabbed the next patients file.

The next thing on Seth’s to do list was eat lunch. It was important to keep up one’s strength when working at the hospital. One can never know when he or she would need to perform medical ninjutsu. Seth had received a temporary id that would allow him to eat at the hospital’s cafeteria. Once Seth arrived in the cafeteria he could see that some of the other doctors, and help that had been called in were also on lunch break. One group signaled for Seth to join them at their table. Seth wasted no time taking a seat amongst them. There were four others already sitting at the table before Seth arrived. Two Seth could see were doctors at the hospital, while the other two were obviously call-ins like him. “Hello I am Seth, thank you for allowing me to join you” Seth said introducing himself to the group. “Hello my name is Kito and this is my wife, Ana. Nice to meet you Seth” one of the doctors said gesturing to himself and the other doctor at the table. He was a very skinny guy who had short black hair and brown eyes. He looked to Seth like he was some were in his mid-thirty’s. His wife Ana, was short and had long blonde hair that she had braided into a single ponytail. She was most likely around the same age of her husband but she had one of those faces that made it hard to guess her age. Then one of the call-ins introduced themselves saying “Hey Seth nice to meet you. My name is Aron, and this is girl over here is Sonia. I am guessing that like us you have been called in to help today.” Seth smiled at this nodding his head in agreement. Seth could see that both Aron and Sonia were most likely field medics. Shinobi and konochi that focus on learning medical ninjutsu to help in emergency situations out on the field rather in the confines of a doctor’s office. But if you wanted treatment for any kind of battle wound they were the best people to go to. They might not be as versed in medicine as a doctor, but no one out matched them in medical ninjutsu. Seth spent his lunch hour period talking about different medical cases and theory with his new friends. However, before long the short period of time given to them was over and it was time to get back to work.

After a pleasant and informative lunch, Seth had to get back to work. His next patient would be arriving shortly and Seth would have to prepare a few things in advance. His next patient according to his file was Sorin Hyuga. He was coming in for an eye exam. This thought made Seth excited. This would be the perfect time for him to observe a Kekkei Genkai in action. Hopefully he could find out something that could help him with his theories on them. But that is not what he was gathering supplies for. Eye tests for Byakugan users were nothing to scoff at. First one would administer the normal tests with the Byakugan not activated. That was the easy part. For Byakugan users there was a second and third test that Seth would have to hold. The second test was used to test their 360 degree vision, while the third was a test of accuracy at a long distance. Seth first had to make a quick run to training area three to set up for the eye exam. When Seth returned he found someone waiting in the room for him. “Hey, sorry I am late I was busy preparing for a few tests. Would you happen to be Sorin Hyuga?” Seth asked the man waiting in the room. “Yes I am, I have been waiting for you here. Don’t worry I have not been waiting long” he said both confirming his identity and reassuring Seth. “Alright then, let get going with the first test” Seth said pulling out the normal eye test. “Now please cover your right eye first and read from this page as far as you can, and don’t activate the Byakugan ” Seth said moving the sheet into place. “A, g, r, y, b, s, f, d, four, h, six, F, c, V, five, H, umm o, p, n, r, and the last one is j” the Huyga read with perfect accuracy, which was to be expected. Even without the Byakugan members of the Huyga clan had great eye sight. Sorin performed perfectly with his left eye as well. “Wow even better than I expected” Seth remarked writing down the results. “Now if you would please activate the Byakugan and look out the window towards training area three and read from the chart I placed there” Seth said pointing to the window. With a few quick hand signs and a buildup of chakra, the Hyuga activated the clan’s signature jutsu. Seth watched as Sorin squinted his eyes like focusing a telescope to see in to the far off chart. Then he started reading. “The chart is as follows, five, g, b, h, seven, j, k, and p. Last time they were smaller weren’t they don’t go easy on me now” Sorin said accusing Seth of going easy on him. “It is the same chart we use for everyone else. You have just improved your use of the Byakugan” Seth said with a smile. “Now for the final test please follow me into the prepared room” gesturing for Sorin to follow him out. They both walked through the hospital till they reached a very large auditorium like room. In the room charts of letters were spread out in every direction. This was a test for Byakugan user’s 360 degree vision. “Please go to the center of the room and face a single wall. If you turn I will have to start the test over so please don’t” Seth said explaining to Sorin what he needs to do. It did not take him long to start rattling of the letters and locations of charts all around the room. The whole time Seth wrote down the accuracy of his eyes. At the end of the test the results were the same, a hundred present. “That is all for today. You can leave. You have perfect sight” Seth said with a laugh. Seth had acquired some valuable information about the use of Kekki Genkai from watching Sorin. It was nearing the end of the day and Seth had completed the jobs on his list. It had been a long day but Seth had gained some valuable experiences.
