Guanyin Nanashi

D-rank
Find the Assassin[A-Rank]

Humanoid beasts of various shapes and sizes surrounded the young man, their menacing claws flexing in time with their deep ragged breaths. Predatory eyes stare intensely at the lone human who had made the mistake of wondering into their lair. Tightly coiled muscles were ready to spring into action at the slightest movement of their prey. It would be unlike that the quarry will run away, it was smart and a crafty one. It knew that escaping is inevitable and thus that only left one alternative. . .TO FIGHT!
Not waiting for them to attack, the prey lunged forwarded at the closely abomination, attempting to grasps at the beast neck. Such a foolish mistake. Like clockwork a wide swipe, claws spread outward, sped towards the lunging prey. The beast eyes gleam with excitement at the thought of an easy victory. . .and easy feast for the pack. This would be the case though. Their prey was a slipping one, evident by it ducking underneath the attack and striking the beast in the solar plexus – stunning in momentary. The sound of a knife tearing tearing through flesh ranged out loud, a geyser of blackish liquid painting any and everything close to the flailing, dying beast. The bestial roars of anguish a sweet symphony – music to the prey's ears.
There wasn't any time for the victor to celebrate, for no sooner after the first one fell to the ground with a resounding thud, it's body disintegrated into nothingness, another one attacked. Legs propelling the mighty beast forward, clawed feet digging into the ground, given it traction, right shoulder lower as it attempted a shoulder charged. There wasn't any time to think about a solution for the matter at hand, reversing the grip of the knife to that of a ice-pick fashion, the quarrel got within the guard of the beast, thrusting the knife forward followed by the free hand acting like a hammer and lodging the weapon deeper into the beast flesh. This along with force in which the abomination was charging at led the knife to be plunge to the hilt. It gurgle, blood spewing from it's mouth, splashing onto the opposition. Using unknown strength, the knife was pulled out of it's chest in a twist motion causing even more damage, and leaving a gabbing size wound. It fell like a ton of bricks.
The other beasts were stun. Their prey had just taken out two of their own. The weakling had just killed a family members. The blasphemy is this!? It wasn't suppose to happen like this, it were suppose to be easy. A quick kill and promising feasts. Though this wasn't the thoughts of those who stayed in the back. The senior and more experience members knew the abilities of their prey and expected nothing less from it. The even told this information to the fledglings but like any child they didn't listen. And it ended up with one of their lives being forfeited. Their liquid essence quenching the thirst of their prey. Speaking of prey. . .
The one eyed killer were twirling the knife that painted the smiley face across the fallen beast's neck, any blood on the obsidian colored blade haven been thrown or licked off. The latter being the obvious choice, black stains covering the lower jaw and lips. The single eye locked onto the biggest of the brutes before him who were making his way to the front, the others parting like the red sea – for their leader.
With broken English, and a rough grainy voice the beast began to speak. It's razor sharp teeth, mismatched crooked like they were vehemently disagreeing with each other were presented. “Guanyin Nanashi, the cage is rattling. How much longer before we escape?”
The prey, now identified as Guanyin Nanashi looked at the beast before him – his lone yellow eye staring the those of the obvious leader. He knew what was going to happen next. The leader along with it's pack would leave him alone, going back into the endless void which it came from. The retreating form of the leader and it's group, only prove this point.
Allowing the obsidian knife to twirl aimlessly between his fingers, Nanashi made a crucial mistake of turning his back on the still retreating figures. Having assume that nothing else would occur. The pressure of something pressing down on his shoulder, massive curved claws digging into flesh, blood oozing out slowly. Looking over his shoulder, Nanashi spied the thing who stopped him from leaving him
It was the leader. . .
“I should kill you myself, but what's the fun in that?” It spoke, claws sinking completely into Nanashi's flesh, getting a scream out of the man “But I shall wait. . .for you ain't worth my time. You are still weak. . . but when you become strong, I shall be waiting.” With those words the leader dissolved into nothingness.
XxXxXx
Light from the sun shined through the closed curtains of his home, illuminating and warming the once dark and cool area. Know matter how cold it got outside, Nanashi always kept his room at a cooling temperature. Rays of the sun began to tenderly lick at his cheeks like a puppy trying to wake up it's owner. Eyes fluttered open revealing themselves to the world. Staring up at the ceiling, while trying to collect his thoughts for today.
What exactly did he had planned? He wasn't meeting his student Alessi today. The woman, who had grown fond of was doing her own thing for the next couple of days, Nanashi given her time off to enjoy the simpler things in life – outside of being a shinobi. Kanetsu Shigeki was doing what he always did. The Kanetsu member being Nanashi second student, having joined the 'team' a year or so after Alessi did. Depending one's viewable, the fact that Nanashi haven't taught the man anything could make some see him as a bad teacher. This wasn't exactly the case though. Shigeki just had a habit of doing things on his own, which was perfectly fine with Nanashi. Not like he wanted to teach another.
Though maybe I should schedule something with him. . .
With his students doing their own thing, what was there for Nanashi to do? He could venue to one of the many Tea Houses that litter throughout the country side? Having neglecting to check up on them, making sure there weren't any trouble being caused, as of late. Or maybe he could visit his home? It has been years since he set foot within that small community. It could be a perfect opportunity to pop in and surprise his family? Haven't seeing all of them in awhile, the last time been when he were dating Yanagi Akai. And the last time he saw his mother was when he were in the hospital, and the visit was less than pleasant.
Probably should follow my student example. . .
Nanashi tossed the covers off his nude frame, and began trekking towards the bathroom to freshen up a bit.
Twenty minutes passed before he emerged from the bathroom, steam following behind him like a lost puppy. Moving into his room, Nanashi began to get dressed in his stereotypical garb. Kunai, senbons, scalpel, etc. everything were in the correct place on his person. The head band showing his alliance to Iwa hung loosely on his belt but would soon find its place across his forehead, keeping the bands out of his line of sight. Going over his equipment once more, Nanashi made his way out of his abhor – not before snatching an apple from the fruit dish beside the entrance.
Moving through the streets of Iwagakure no Sato, the lone eye looking around at numerous of people going about their lives without a care in the world. People. Humans in generally fascinated the former geisha immensely, especially civilians or those who never witness the terror of the world around them. They seem to secure. So confident in their surrounds, that many don't realize the danger that lurk next to them. Many don't realize that the person they are having a conversation with in a pedophile who have dipped their kunai into the sheaths of both boys and girls. Or that the friendly clerk at the grocery store is a serial killer who picks out their prey with exception care. You see that kid who like to pull the wings off of butterflies, setting frogs on fire? Yeah, he is a budding psychopath and will eventually kill someone. Or maybe the guy standing near the vendor watching as other go by, would you believe it that they will attempt to rob and assault someone and get away with it? Ah there is a price for being ignorant. And if there is one thing that Nanashi knows is ignorance kills. . .
How easy it would to kill theses people. . .
The sudden movement of someone heading towards him caught Nanashi's attention, locking onto the figure of the girl running and waving at him. Akira, that was the name of the baby faced, black haired girl. Nanashi having known who she was doing to him having met her on numerous of occasions when visiting the local Geisha house that resided with the walls of the village. Despite of teen like appearance, Akira was slightly older than him, and it were because of her appearance made her a hot commodity amongst the frequent visitors. Nanashi were curious in why she were running towards him, and it seemed like he was about to get his answer – the woman having stopped a front of him and were about to speak “Catch your breath first, Akira-chan.”
Taking the suggestion of the silver haired man, Akira took a couple of minutes of catching her breath and fixing the nest she called her hair. Once she caught her breath, dark brown eyes locked into the lone eye of Nanashi. Akira still never getting tired of getting lost in his eye, even if it was just one. Shaking out of the trance that seem to happen whenever she's around him, she began to speak in a voice that truly belonged to a teenaged girl instead of a woman – like her “ Nanashi, I have been looking all over for you.”
“Really now? For what reason?” Nanashi wondering why the woman wanted to find him, taking a glimpse at her attire he could assume her statement was indeed true. Her clothing still looked somewhat disheaved even after she straighten them out somewhat.
“I have important that's incredibly important.”
“And that is?” Instead of answering him Akira slipped a piece of folder paper in his hand. The paper were folded into a simple heart. Unfolding the piece of paper, facial features sat in stone as he began to read the contents of the paper. And boy what contents they were. No sooner after reading it the paper were burst into flames turning into ash and scatter amongst the wind. Turning his attention back at Akira, Nanashi simply raised an eyebrow – an unspoken questioned asked.
“Yep, it's all true. And you are the only shinobi I trust sooo. . .” Nanashi nodded, it was completely understandable for Geisha not to trust some shinobi. They having the ability to force themselves onto unwilling participants more so than others. Luckily Nanashi wasn't one of them. . .
”Alright, I will take care of it. Tell mother I will be by to visit later, okay?” Akira nodded, hugging Nanashi before scampering off back to the Geisha house, unknowingly being followed by a clone created by Nanashi to make sure she got back there safety – before dispelling.
Sighing, Nanashi took to the roofs, like any good shinobi would, and made his way towards the Bastion Adamantine. Along the way there Nanashi began to recall the information in the letter. Apparently two shinobi came into the Geisha house, bought two girls and during the session with them became intoxicated, and proceed to tell them that they plan on assassinating the Tsuchikage. They were even stupid enough to tell their base of operation. Along with that the letter also gave Nanashi a basic description of the two. Surprisingly it were a lot information and Nanashi couldn't help to smirk at the mind of Akira. She truly had an edetic memory. . .
Reaching the giant wall of Bastion Adamantine, Nanashi went through the checkpoint, flashing his ninja id to the guards and signing out before disappearing into the forest right behind the wall. The forest outside of the wall was nortious for bandit activity, Nanashi himself having done a number of missions dealing with the scum of the earth. Taking to the trees, Nanashi began his search for the two would be assassins. Having no knowledge of their rank or abilities, he didn't risk the chance of using chakra when there is a chance of a sensor being near and discovering him.
It took him nearly thirty minutes to find the location of both combatants, the pair were sitting on a log and similarly talking about something. But due to how far Nanashi was from them, he couldn't make out what they were saying. That didn't matter to the man though, instead he was analyzing or trying to find clues on the abilities of the pair.
The brown haired boy, and apparently the youngest was a puppeteer, evident by the puppet that he was working on. That would be an interesting fight if there was one. Nanashi having only fought against one puppeteer, and that user had the crystal release. It seemed like this one didn't have any pesky bloodline or at least that what he assumed anyway.
Turning his attention to the blue haired male, Nanashi noted the low bow laying against the log along with two long swords strapped to his back. Just his luck to be dealing with an opponent who is equally good at long and short range. No matter it was time for Nanashi to act, and in order to do that he needed a plan.
Divide and conquer. . .
The pair of missing nins were sitting around talking about possible entry ways into the Tsuchikage home to assassinate the bastard when suddenly there was a Snap, the sound of a twig breaking alerting them to the western area.
“Saruri, go check that out.” Toji said, instantly grabbing his long bow and loading up an arrow. He watched as his partner disappeared into the woods. Unknowingly knowing this would be the last time they saw each other.
At the same time a mist like fog rolled into the area, obscuring the man's vision momentarily. Waving his hand through the mist, Toji began to feel drowsy for an unexplained reason. Why was he feeling drowsy all of a sudden? What could have cause it?
The Fog!
Sadly the realization came to soon for the missing ninja who had dreams of conquest, for before he could do anything the man fell into a deep slumber, steel flash through the night sky cutting through flesh like a hot knife through butter, blood flowed like water providing the ground with an enrich drink. In two moves Toji was dead. . .
The lone eye of Nanashi looked at the cooling corpse of the man before him, before the sound of twigs alerting him to another presence. There coming out of the branches were four dopplerganger and in the middle of was the other missing nin, him being bounded with some ninja wire from the puppeteer. Saruri's eyes widen after landing on the corpse of his partner, and secret lover, but before he could shout – he saw darkness.
One of the clones having knocked him unconscious. The group of Nanashi and his clones would make their way back to the village, carrying their assassin. Said assassin would be given to the Interrogation department where he will spill his guts and later on executed for the crimes commit. As for Nanashi, he got a hefty pay for his actions.
All in a days work.
