Solstice on arriving in Suna had been welcomed warmly by her friend the Kazekage who had once years ago travelled to the land of Kiri to tell the land the news of their long lost but by no means forgotten Mizukage, whom had lost his life at the second battle of the Kage summit against the Schichiouza who had now created their boarder beside the land of Kiri, the lands had gotten tense, but, it was not so tense that they could not handle it. The Boarder alert was doubled, and after the chuunin exams, they would have a wave of fresh new Chuunin who would be able to take up the paths as scouts and sensory ninja as well as guards and other task masters who could nomadicly travel and become even stronger.

After seeing her student Tenmei off to be able to join in with the nostalgic and accommodating Chuunin exams along with the hidden Hozuke, whom she hoped to date was alright. Bravado and gusto can onlyy get you so far after all. Solstice took a detour to find the Kazekage, looking around at the Village she had, to be blatantly honest, never seen anything like before, the houses were made of stone, much like in Kiri, but the architecture was many times different. Designs on the sides of the houses in re and blue and green paint brightened them and livened up the city. The structures were amazing, and the people who lived within them must be equally so.

Solstice looked around, she knew she was out of place with her heavy leather clothing, and in the midst of the day heat, it was taking an amount of her own chakra control simply to deal with the temperature. Though she could, even here in the midst of the desert still feel the ever glowing presence of the nature chakra in the air. She was amazed on how ever present the force seemed to be, literally everywhere she went she felt in touch with the nature chakra, it was a miracle of not only life, but matter as a whole. The nature of everything from Sand to Biological materials were coated in the natural chakra of the world, but it seemed to pass through everything equally, without so much as breaking for their presence unless they learned to become accustomed to its presence.

Looking further, she could see children playing in the streets, a sight which always managed to bring a smile to Solstice's face. These people were lucky to know peace even in the middle of this harsh and violent golden coarse environment. But, sure enough, in the distance was the Kazekage, with child, once heavily pregnant the last time she had seen her, it seemed she had given birth to a healthy young lad over the time she had not been here, but such was a story for another time. As she approached there was movement on the horizon, feet moved as fast as they could as a member of the Anbu black ops squad landed before the Kazekage. Solstice increased the velocity on her stride so that she was in hearing range of the report.

"Lord Kazekage, our scouts have reports that a group of Nukenin are planning to assault the Chuunin exams!"

"Ah fuck. Can't I have 5 minutes of peace and quiet in this damn hell-hole?" "Sure, I'll take care of it" The Kazekage spoke in response, her eyes falling to her child as tears began to roll down the child's eyes, as the masked man had obviously frightened the poor kid with appearing so suddenly. The Kazekage's eyes filled with a motherly confusion as she seemed to want to act suddenly but was held back by some form of force. Solstice could identify it, it was the maternal worry of the child before her, and no doubt a combination of the duties she still had to perform as the head and host of the exams. Stepping forward solstice spoke out loudly so that the both of them were able to hear.

I'll handle the problem lady Kazekage. If you will allow the Anbu member to share the information with me you go and do what needs to be done here, and leave the threat to me. The Anbu member looked at the Kazekage, reaching behind him for the parchment map or a blade, depending on which of the two responses that could be taken considering another ninja from another city seemed to be eavesdropping on the conversation between a member of the Village black ops and the kage. Solstice understood the scepticism but at the same time steeled her eyes as the Kage nodded and headed off in the other direction to perform the other deeds which needed to be performed at the present time.

The member of the Anbu squad pulled out the parchment and showed her a map of the area around the Ivory tower, it seemed some miles into the distance there was a marked site which was obviously their intended mark. It was determined that at this location there was only one member of the group sighted, and what little details there was of this intruder were limited at best. Caution was advised when it came to the attack and the capture of this single individual, as the information about the rest of the Terrorist cell needed to be uncovered, therefore, either it needed to be beaten out of him in the field, or he needed to be captured and interrogated by the state until they had the information they needed to be able to follow through with the mission.

Solstice nodded and though she knew that she was taking the security of another nation onto her own shoulders for a temporary amount of time, these were the acts which began to create a bond between nations, and in the coming days it was becoming more and more likely that Kiri was going to need its own group of friends to be able to deal with everything which was going to happen in the near, as well as the far future. Solstice hoped that this act would be one which bridged the relationships between kiri and suna for some time, as well as the actions of the other ninja which were participating and forming bonds in the exams themselves. After a few days she would have needed to sorted this mission out and make her way to the Ivory tower to meet with the kiri ninja who made it there safely.

Solstice after the full briefing began to move out in the direction of the dunes before her, though not at the speed of the genin who had charged out in search of the Ivory tower, no, Solstice flew across the sand with enough speed that the wind which she caused moving against the still air was enough to cool her down as she fleeted across the country. The map in her hands, and using the sights of the few artefacts that she could use to triangulate her position on the map, it seemed she was getting closer to the location of the missing ninja. The thought that this guy as well as his master were planning to attack and kill the children of many different countries made Solstice sick to her stomach. The chaos of it all was senseless, and it was nothing more or less than scare tactics and petty revenge, there was no bigger picture for these people, there hardly ever was, and with that she stopped and looked over into a small glade, there, in the sand she saw what looked to be some form of station of operations, no more than ten miles from the ivory tower where the exams were being held.

There was a sand coloured drape of cloth which had obviously attempted to keep the place well hidden, a couple of crates, a table and better yet, footprints, seemingly of many people, which meant that there were more people here not too long ago. As the winds had not yet, even though this place was situated against a dune which protected the shelter from the winds, had not yet blown the foot prints away. Letting out a sigh, she looked to the crates to see that they were filled with something that she was hoping that they would not be, paper-bombs. The explosive tags were a dark sign indeed, and a sign which said that this could get a lot more serious the longer it was left, luckily though, this was something that was easily disarmed, if she could set one of them off the entire supply would go up in smoke in a single giant explosion. Solstice began to head down, until she saw that under the covers one man was still there. Someone on guard duty perhaps? This was an excellent sign, with him they stood a chance in finding out what other people were involved, and if so how many and where? Stalking down Solstice activated the ability of her shroud, becoming semi transparent and following the crest of the dunes to the man’s back.

The fool was on high alert, and he would have to be, but it made approach hard for solstice without attempting to begin a fight. Rage was boiling up inside of solstice, so much that she for a moment did not think that she would be able to contain it all within her, should she snap she would charge at the man, who she had no idea of his qualities as well as his combat styles or prowess, he looked toned and athletic but that was no sure sign of physical prowess, though then she spied the sword. Bukijutsu, that was something she could use! It meant there was only a few other things she would be able to expect from this guy, and that she was now in a position of strategic power. But then there was the sand, making her approach from up high would surely disturb it, meaning that there was only really one option to go with, and that was a head on assault. Almost liking the idea, solstice checked her equipment, armour, and other gear so that it was all safe and secure. Before standing up, and jumping high. Leaving a trickle of disturbed sand to run down the dune and make the ninja aware of a presence, looking up at the dune, he did not look high enough, and solstice came down at harrowing speeds landing beside him and throwing out a sweeping kick for the mans shins, so strong that it would more than likely snap them in two.

But the man avoided them, somersaulting backwards only just quickly enough to avoid the attack he was separated from his paper bombs, surprise was the look on his face when he faced down his masked opponent confusion crossing his face at the black wearing ninja who was now facing him down with a detailed portrait of the four waves symbol which was iconic of kirigakure, yet in suna. The man though her some form of Jounin or sannin, or something he could fight as he drew his blade, but he wasn’t ready for this, tightening her gloves the man attacked, striking twice for solstices neck before entering a series of spinning attacks with amazing fluidity and skill. Though each of them in turn was guarded against by solstice’s gloves, sparks flew as one by one, with open palms solstice blocked each of them, curving the strikes off and away from her body with her hands like flowing water, many times faster than he could strike. Tough, it was not long before she saw the slick steel of his weapon reinforce with supernatural power, as a jutsu seemed to have been flown through the blade. This was going to make things interesting.

Not holding out her hands to block the next strike was a good idea as he swung the blade for her gut, the weapon now singing as it sliced through the air, easily twice as sharp as it once was before. But solstice took the wide swing as an opportunity, and with three rapid machine gun like punches to the gut she stunned the man just long enough for one of her hands to whip out to his sword wrist, and with a simple twist and placement of pressure, she slipped the joint and dislocated it. Causing the man an extreme amount of pain and discomfort, but she was not done then, moving up his arm she ducked under and behind the man, still gripping him by the wrist and placing the other hand on his elbow, and with the precise amount of force and pressure, hyperextended the limb dislocating it at the elbow before finally letting go of his wrist, holding his upper arm she upper-cut under his shoulder, popping the last joint before using the force to throw him over her shoulder and down into the dust, kicking away his long discarded sword.

Stunned at how quickly he had been overcome, the man turned to look up at solstice in disbelief, how fast was this woman? Who was she, and why was she here? How did she learn to fight with such ferocity? He was afraid, and she liked that, his sword arm would not be able to be used at full strength for months now, and he knew he was lucky to just be alive. Solstice had been practicing for a while now, and after her Kage training she was not at all surprised that this guy was no match for her, though he was a skilled combatant, easily a match for a jounin with his blade, she was two ranks higher than him in literally every statistic possible. So he didn’t really stand much of a chance to begin with. Taking a walk over to the crates, she tool one of them, lifting a paper bomb from the crate and spilling the rest of them all over the man’s chest and body. Waving the paper bomb in her hands, she smiled, the man finally having the courage to ask her who she really was. Tucking her fingers behind her mask, and looking down at the wounded beast, she smiled.
“Im the Mizukage, and you better remember that if I’m going to let you go, don’t get any ideas about setting off the bombs, because you know I can avoid such a simple explosion from our fight… so, now, are there others? Tell me now, or you’ll be nothing more than a red mist scattered around in a crater, with no-one to remember your name.”

The man began to panic at the concept of his death, he spilled the beans about the location of their base, their leader, and his position, he gave her everything that solstice wanted to know, Solstice, taking a second paper bomb, licked the back of one of them, and slapping it to the man’s forehead so that it stuck, triggering the chakra effect as the paper began to burn, giving solstice three seconds to clear the blast site. Running with the force of all of her speed jutsu, she hurled the other bomb into the mass of other paperbombs, running as fast as she could up the dune from where she came from and twenty meters down the road before there was an explosion of massive preportions, drowning out the scream of the ninja who was caught in its center.

“No prisoners...”
