Mission details: Find and eliminate the threat controlling the wolves; also be wary of any survivors in the area

-------------------------

Prompting the assault of the wolves; Zwei stood within the moonlit glade, awaiting his companion to catch up with him. He was a bit anxious -- was it a possibility that Kazu had been put down by the wolves; no, that was quite unlikely. Zwei was the utmost confident in Kazu's abilities and if anyone was able to allude the wolves it was certainly Kazu. The sounds of the passing wolves begun to dull, but the tracks they left were very evident. It was almost as if they dared the duo to follow, but since when did wolves become so intelligent? Their mission entailed they remove the wolf threat from the area, but there was obviously something quite larger going on. The fact that both Kazu and Zwei were summoned begun to make sense. In any case Zwei peaked over his shoulder -- the emerald green hued lenses would pierce through the night like a jagged blade. He caught a glimpse of a silhouette of another human even through the darkness. Once the sound of the ruffling bushes echoed across the area, Zwei assumed it was Kazu -- and proceeded a few steps forward. "Alright man, lets go I think the wolves are leading us into a trap of some sort." He stated as he shifted his attention towards the area before him.

The eerie sound of growling erupted from the figure's throat; Zwei's eyelids peaked opened widely as shock begun to fill his entire frame. He immediately turned around to face the creature, but when he turned around he was immediately 'greeted' by quite a massive surprise. Standing at a towering 7 feet, a massive creature with the face in the shape of a wolf stared down on him as it stood on it's hind legs. Blood stained fangs stretched down to about 8 inches and curved a bit at the middle. Yellow eyes were narrowed and the creature had it's prey within sight. Massive amounts of slobber dripped from the edges of the creature's mouth -- despite Zwei's initial reaction he found himself bound to the earth. 'Zwei, get the hell out of here, what are you doing? Don't just stand there move!' He demanded to himself, the thoughts ran rabid in his mind -- yet he couldn't as much as move a finger. Was it fear that kept Zwei from defending himself? No, It had seemed the creature had managed to paralyze him by type of Ninjutsu! The creature lifted an idle hand -- it's long claws stretched at an equally long length.

Zwei's body trembled as he tried to break free from the binds, but to no avail -- was he really about to be struk down by this monster in the woods?!

The once silent forest the wolves resided in was now tormented with cries as four wolves whelped on the ground before the Iwagakure shinobi. A cloud of noxious gas would linger across the presence of the wolves disabling their movements and sending their strong sense of smell out of control. The crimson eyed chuunin would take a few steps away from his misty flame jutsu before glaring into the eyes of his foes. "Well, it's been fun." A smile would form across Kazu's face before he began to conduct a string of hand seals, his lungs began to fill with air whilst his chakra began to form across his throat. "Fire Release, Pheonix Flower Jutsu." His legs would bend before thrusting into the air sending his body backward at a 90 degree angle to the ground. Flames would disperse from his lips which would split off into 15 small fireballs gliding through the air, making their way toward the flammable gas cloud. The wolves completely oblivious to the projected fireballs would cry with deep howls, filling the forest would roars of terror. It wouldn't take long for the fireballs to emerge with the flammable gas cloud, a roar of flames would erupt in a 10 meter diameter.

The ground would scorch black whilst the tree's would catch light allowing vision across a 20 meter radius.
The bodies of his canine foes would be burnt with 2nd degree burns as their flesh was now visible whilst their bones began to erode. The smell of burning flesh would protrude across the burning forest, as their cries now ceased whilst death loomed across the flames. Kazu would land back on the ground whilst taking in the mere fact of his deed. There was no sense of emotion portrayed by the young chuunin, his crimson gaze would watch quietly as the flames began to dissipate leaving the forest back to it's original state of being dim lit and well silent. White smoke would disperse from the tree's, clouding the vision of the moon obscuring the moonlight making vision in the forest near impossible. It was finally time to go back, but wait... where was Skarn?

Two crimson orbs would flicker back and forth searching for his rival, the pitch black forest providing no vision would disallow his chances of finding his protege. The smell of charred flesh still present would send an off-putting fume into the air, it had seemed both sight and smell were two senses he had to put aside to help both himself and to find his teammate. Thought's would bend across Kazu's mind as it was way too silent, a wolf pack had just been massacred and their was no cry out which was so common with wolves. Is Skarn in trouble or did he dispatch of the wolves? Is he dead or alive? His heartbeat began to race whilst sweat began to excrete from his pores. His neck would shift his head back and forth in search for Zwei in a panicked motion. He than realise what he was doing, his body would stop and sit completely still, his lungs began to slow down whilst simultaneously taking deeper breaths. His eyes would close whilst he concentrated on what he could hear. the now pitch black silent forest would give off a small grumpling noise 20 paces to his left. His eyelids would retract back uncovering his two crimson eyes.

His body would immediately shift to his left whilst his legs bent before thrusting off the ground, shooting his body amongst the tree's, his chakra began to mould to his feet allowing his feet to kick off the tree's keeping his balance and posture minimising error and maximizing speed. Not before long the smoke clouds would slowly drift apart giving light to Skarn only a few meters away. A sigh of relief would flutter through Kazu's body before a shape would begin to develop behind Skarn, a large fur monster would raise it's claw above Skarn with an attempt at his life. Move Skarn MOVE. Kazu's thoughts would circle in an abyss of his self conscience as he couldnt alert Skarn as it may spook the damn animal. The black hooded chuunin would thrust off a tall oak tree, launching his body downward toward the 'standing wolf?' His body began to spin forward before his leg extended allowing his body to send a devastating kick when he reached the beast.

The beast's ear's would swiftly tighten, hie face would turn sideways as his yellow eyes would stare at the rotating Kazu, it's body would swiftly spin to his right greeting Kazu with a powerful back hand. Thanks to the force of Kazu's rotating body their attack's would cancel each other out as Kazu's right leg would stand still on the werewolves right paw, the black hooded chuunin would take iniative for the first counter attack as his hands swiftly grabbed the beasts paw and swung his body clockwise, sending his left leg to the beast's chin. His left foot would strike comfortabley on the wolves right mandible sending the beast drift 5 meters apart from his current position. Kazu would drift back to the ground whilst keeping his eyes on the yellow eyed wolf. "Did i just save your ass Skarn?" A chuckle would follow at the worst of times as he intellectually poked his fellow chuunin. "All jokes aside, I guess you should come up with a plan yeah?" A drop of sweat would slide down Kazu's temple as the beast began to regain his stature. Shit just got hectic.

The sounds of Kazu's warnings would reach Zwei, but unfortunately his body betrayed him. Despite his desire to evade the beast, despite his desire to live; Zwei found himself bounded by the creature's ensnaring glare. Zwei's body trembled vivaciously as he attempted to move, yet to no avail -- his breathing was shallow and a chilling sensation begun filling his entire body. Was this the end? Such a pathetic way to go down! Just as the beast was about to strike him down, Kazu met the beast with a series of acrobatic attacks which eventually launched the beast several meters back. The breeze followed by Kazu's passing frame sent Zwei's hair into a lively sway. Once the glare had been broken, Zwei fell to a single knee as he gasp for air -- an idle hand motioned over to his chest, clinching the his shirt as he focused his attention on the Kazu's side. The edges of Zwei's lips lifted slightly as a faint chuckle of relief exceeded his parched lips; even with Kazu's joking, Zwei was certainly glad he was able to intervene in time. "Screw you Kaz." Despite his remark, his tone was filled with the same humor spewed by Kazu; however his tone intensified as he continued with: "He did something to me... His eyes, make sure you avoid them." He forewarned as he rose to his feet, examining the beast that stood before them.

Zwei had never experienced such the primal instinct to kill; the beast's entire frame spilled out with a devastating intent to devour anything in it's path. It's razor back claws extended as it begun lowering into an aggressive stance; the beast could sense their doubt and their overall nervous stance. The beast retreated a few steps back and a massive amount of saliva dripped from the beast's mouth as if it was rabid creature. It's hind legs kicked back a massive amount of dirt as it's piercing yellow eyes illuminated even in the dark. A plan of attack? If anything they'd be lucky to escape with their lives at this point. Zwei shook the very thought out of his head and it was then when he figured out how to make a stand. He turned to face the beast and without turning to face Kazu he begun speaking: "Kazu, the moment you seen an opening you attack with your best Jutsu. I'll stand clear, but no matter what don't pull back." He uttered -- there was a hint of doubt in his tone or rather a hint that he had something rather crazy planned. Zwei had only seen this beast in action for a brief moment, he believed his plan would work but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to stand clear when the time came. The beast kept it's aggressive stance and was mere ten meters away from them. Zwei placed his wooden sword at his side as if it was sheathe, grasping the blade firmly within his grasp.

A blue aura shrouded his feet as he leaned forward a bit to meet the beast' aggressive stance. A green light swirled rather visibly along his blade -- his sword illuminated the entire area in it's glowing green aura. He didn't explain his plan at the slightest, but suspected Kazu would be able to find an ideal opportunity to attack IF the time would present itself. "Get Ready!" Zwei exclaimed as he launched himself towards the beast; the beast met Zwei's intensified with it's own as it howled and ran towards Zwei with it's claws exposed and lifted -- Just before they collided Zwei ' unsheathed' his sword and massive green light followed with it aiming towards the beast' body. The beast leaned forward and brought it's massive claws down across Zwei's body -- just as their attacks were about to collide; Zwei's image begun to dematerialize as a mere image went through the beast. A thin amount of smoke flowed along side the beast's hands as it's claws ripped through the area where Zwei's body once was. Zwei reappeared from above bringing his blade down from above his head and slashing at the beast's skull. " Air Pressure Annihilation!" Zwei exclaimed as he brought his most fierce attack( lol only attack ) across the beast's skull. Despite Zwei's relatively quick movement the beast was able to counter with the utmost ease, launching it's body upward and tossing his arms up to merely catch the green illuminated blade. A faint smirk shaped Zwei's lips as the creature lifted up to grab the blade -- it's entire midsection left exposed as he held Zwei's blade. Zwei suspected that the beast would be able to counter his attack and even repel it due to the brief moment that Kazu and the beast had engaged one another. He couldn't help but to be a tad bit taken back by the beast' overall might.

The beast roared as a few trickles of blood slid down the beast's arms as Zwei's blade cut through the flex, but certainly not enough force to phase the beast. The beast managed to keep Zwei suspended in air by his blade; however Zwei continued pressing his chakra into the beast -- so it would be able to engage with a counter. Zwei bellowed out a war cry as he yelled at the beast, at this point he could only hope that Kazu was as good as he knew he would be. He could feel the wooden sword within his grasp beginning to shatter within the beast's grasp.

The silence once portrayed widespread across the forest was now replaced by a loud grumble, the source of the noise originating from the 7 foot werewolf regaining it's posture after it's recent kick to the head. Before it stood it's two opponents, two chuunin from the village hidden in the stone, both Kazu and Skarn were suitable candidates for dispatching of wolves but to kill a werewolf? To think such an animal hidden in myth was running a muck so close to home. Kazu stood baffled at the sheer site of seeing a standing wolf, his eyes widened as they could possibly be whilst his body took a stern bent stance with his fists clenched and his legs bent.

His mind would ponder or what this wolf truly was, an evolution of the wolf or were they just in hiding and have always been? For whatever reason the two shinobi from Iwagakure had to do something to control the beast as it was an obvious threat. But now everything made sense, the unusual livestock killings, the town slaughtering, it wouldn't have been possible with simple wolves. In a snap back to reality Kazu would be interrupted by his partners warning of the wolves eyes. It then put Kazu at ease, a genjutsu or maybe even a simple ninjutsu like the nara clan. Whatever the case was Kazu had to act smart with his next actions.

It had seemed Skarn had awakened a plan to damage the werewolf, a simple guerrilla warfare tactic that was displayed throughout histories great wars. 'The old' Iwa city shuffle, an extremely easy plan that can wipe the floor with the most diverse of plans. It's key factor being a distraction, and when the threat is occupied a single strong attack to execute the opponent. Quite simple really, but with a twist as a bigger distraction is needed for a greater threat, let alone better timing and most of all enough output in damage. Kazu readied his chakra to his lungs as he prepared for the opening Skarn was about to provide. He had placed all his faith into Skarn's plan, it had seemed over the year's Skarn was always the one with the plan's, allowing Kazu to realise Zwei was a genius when speaking of tactics and strategy. Always valuing his rival's opinion, Kazu had put his complete faith in Skarn's hands. His crimson iris's would stay locked on the werewolf whilst keeping his focus away from it's golden gaze. Kazu would nod to Skarn in an affirmative fashion in agreement to his plan. Sure Skarn didn't exactly say the plan in detail but Kazu knew exactly what his partner was about to do.

"Whenever your ready Skarno."

A grin would pass on Kazu's face, it was moments like these that highlighted the young chuunin's shinobi career. Without a moment's notice Skarn would leap toward the beast, Kazu would watch as the beast would mirror Skarn's movements before sweeping it's claw into Skarn's waist. It was finally time for Kazu to prepare for his jutsu, his hands began to dance affront his torso, chakra began to knead across his lungs and throat creating a thick layer along his oesaphagus. Whilst his chakra began to knead through his chakra circulatory system his eyes would keep watch of his partner's actions, timing was everything in this scenario and one false move would allow the beast to bring death to both the shinobi. As Skarn disappeared from thin air, he would reappear above the beast, as Skarn's signature move would disperse from it's place Kazu would watch as the werewolves arms would ascend from their moving position only to leave it's torso defenceless. It was finally time.

"Fire Release: Great Dragon Flame."

His jutsu was merely whispered as flames expelled from Kazu's lips, the flames would begin to shape into a dragon before flying into the stationary Werewolf, the flames would light up the dim lit forest, it's flames so intense the jutsu would be enough to envelop the beast's entire body. The question was did it work?

The sound of Kazu announcing his technique was quite welcoming; the wooden sword within his grasp had begun to dull and tremble under the wolf's might. A thin layer of sweat would glisten along the side of Zwei's face as he focused an enormous amount of chakra into the sword to keep the beast from retreating from his position. A loud thumping sound echoed across the moonlit glade as the massive balls of fire collided into the beast's flesh. When the blast connected -- the sword had finally given away, however the beast was launched into the forest. Zwei landed on his feet, holding the broken sword within his hand. Zwei watched as the beast fled through the forest, screeching as the fires begun to completely engulf it. It was a formidable beast, but certainly even this was too much for the creature.

Zwei peaked over his shoulder to shift his attention over to Kazu -- a faint smirk shaped his lips. Despite the very near death experience they both encountered; they managed to prevail against a beast that was certainly over their league. Together they were quite a force and ultimately Zwei couldn't help but to release a faint chuckle: "Man that easy." He uttered in a tone filled with arrogance, however there was a subtle hint of sarcasm in his tone. Eventually the beast's cries would come to a silence, without any real warning Zwei begun to make his way over into the direction where he saw the wolf headed. Without their knowledge the ominous clouds above begun to shroud the moon, concealing the full moon from the earth's gaze.

"Lets just make sure this thing is dead, we'll report back to the village afterwards. This may sound weird but I'm actually pretty hungry right now." Zwei inquired as he trek through the foliage filled mountains; the visibility begun to thin a bit as proceeded deeper, having to use his hands to knock away a few leaves suspended from tree branches and such. "Man where the he-" Just before he could conclude his statement he felt the earth beneath him leave shatter under his grasp, but before he could collide completely fall he felt himself being pulled up by his colleague. Whlie suspended in the air he examined the area around him and noticed a fairly large cliff and below a large river. The drop was quite massive and there were some jagged rocks below -- however he couldn't see the beast, but certainly not even the beast would've been able to survive the fall.

He lifted his head to meet Kazu's glance: "Alright, man lets go ahead and call it night.."
