Clan History: Long ago, the Gaiso clan were mercenaries;much like most of the shinobi clans. They, along with the other clans with special Kekkie Genkai were widely desired for their edge over ordinary shinobi. When the clans eventually came to an understanding and the need for clan based mercenaries declined, the Gaiso clan did not falter. Establishing a head quarters deep within a forest that bordered the lands of Iwagakure, Kusagakure and Amegakure. Inside this forest they repossessed it, giving it the Gaiso forest for the shroud of black smoke that swirls the forest. Here the predecessors to the modern Gaiso clan were free to set out to whichever village they saw fit. Most went to start sections of the clan in every village. A group of clansmen stayed to keep the HQ up and running. To this day the HQ is still located in the forest and offers soldiers for hire. In some villages the clan is looked at as a minor nobility, others they are respected as a clan that has kept to their mercenary roots when other faltered.


Kekkei Genkai Description: A Gaiso clan member has the power to utilize smoke style, an offshoot of katon. By molding Katon and Futon chakra in their bodies, the clansmen can release black smoke from their mouths or pores. This smoke is embalmed with their chakra, as such the smoke does not fade; it is completely controlled by the user. The Gaiso clan member also has a -1 to damage taken by katon techniques.


Drawbacks: The drawbacks of the Gaiso clansmen are a permanent +1 to damage received by suiton attacks, also a -1 to jutsu's going up against a suiton jutsu.

Description: The users spews black smoke from his mouth, enough to cover 5 meters in front of the user. The smoke is full of chakra, effectivly blinding any normal  person or person who uses a doujutsu to see chakra. If the opponent is caught in the smoke cloud, the opponent will have irritated and burning eyes and coughing fits if inhaled. This jutsu can be blown away temporarily (1 post) by a futon jutsu of equal rank. But the clansmen can relocate the smoke back to its original point if blown away.

Description: The users concentrates on molding katon smoke in the pit of his stomach, using an over abundance of katon turns the smoke burning hot. The smoke takes on the form of a black cloud with fire jumping around on the inside. Once molded, the smoke is spewed into the users and and molded into a basket ball sized circle. This ball can either be used as a missile or as a hand held jutsu. If thrown, the user can control it; giving it a slight homing effect(can curve slightly, not sharp angles). Once in flight the user can self detonate the ball with the snap of his fingers. If an opponent is struck with the jutsu, the ball will disperse into a 3 meter wide black cloud of jumping fire. If hit straight on, the opponent will suffer third degree burns over their afflicted area. If they are hit by its splash damage, they will receive second degree burns which worsen to third degree burns if the opponent stays in the cloud for  one post after detonation.[/font][/color]

A question for the reviewing mod/admin. Should i give the amount of bees a clan member can control in exact numbers or cubic feet?

I'm not reviewing this becauase i'm Biased. Tatsumaru is afraid of bees, you prick.

Isn't this clan just a bit too similar to the Aburame? Bees are insects after all, and the Aburame also work as a host for their insects which also feed off their chakra.

The kamizuru are an actual canon clan. They appeared in the "finding the bicochu beetle arc"

On top of that, they can't absorb chakra like the Kikaichuu....

So one species is bulkier and slower while the other is faster?

The only jutsu I have a problem with is the Swarm technique. I'm finding it hard to believe that anywhere upwards of 200 bees can swarm a single person in one post, though a)I haven't been attacked by huge swarms of bees and b)I suppose a post could last that long.
However, the Giant Hornets probably should take longer.

Quick question before I change anything. Like i asked above, should the bees be controlled in exact number or cubic feet? As for the swarm technique, 200 bees would be a decent sized hive and not an unheard of number. As for the bigger hornets having a longer duration, they already get a -1 to jutsu speed. Even getting them to attach to a foe would be challenging because the jutsu run at a lower speed then an opponent of equal rank. So would leaving the duration at 1 post be a problem?

(Edit) was also thinking on how the jutsu could kill. Should i make some kind of "stung by this many and you die" or something like that? If so, what would be a good number?

I just realized. Bee stings are essentially venom (poison). This is pending until I can get it straightened out whether this is banned or not.

Add that all elements start at C rank. Smoke should be the same rank as the weakest one. This is the same for all advanced element clans.

Smoke as an advanced element is a concept that quite frankly, pisses me off. Not everything needs to be an advanced element. There is a reason that Fire release can produce smoke and ash as well, we don't need everything being kekkei genkai locked or non-elemental jutsu will become an impossibility. Quite frankly I'm entirely opposed to smoke as an advanced release. If you want to make a clan that uses non-elemental smoke based Ninjutsu, I'm fine with that, but people need to get over this obsession with turning everything they pull out of their ass into an advanced element before we end up with twenty seven different versions of Fire + Wind. Sure, you get a flashy icon, but you also get more work and more fragmentation for no real benefit beyond "I have a shiny button!"

So, what can I do to get it approved as something more your taste?

You need to get rid of the Enton element in your last jutsu.

Also, Kekkei Genkai Description. You can't teach other people your Kekkei Genkai. That's kind of why it's a Kekkei Genkai.

Drawbacks, make Smoker actually do something. Anxious and nervous isn't too major, compared to, say, Short Fuse. And it should be taken without something to counterbalance it.

This needs to be clarified that they are specialists in the art of Smoke-producing Katon, rather than being the only ones capable of using it. Katon such as Haijingakure no Jutsu are also able to create smoke.

Burning Miasma's damage is the only thing that needs modification.
