Spoiler:

All right....Tame was up and at 'em, as they would say. ...they? Who's they--ah, whatever. He quickly got dressed, though this was no ordinary day. Rather, it wasn't special in monumental proportions...he just couldn't wear the same old stuff today. Tame dressed himself up in a rather formal garb, something similar to what he'd seen the servers at this restaurant there...he hadn't been there more than once, but the food was okay.

And so the young Yamada departed from his home. Off to that small little eatery...what was it called, again? Gah...that would bug him the entire way there...at least he would know when he reached it. The address was all Tame needed...walking down a few streets, jumping rooftops...this might take awhile.

Eventually, he found the place.... He couldn't even read the text written on the sign. No wonder the name wasn't given in the mission report...

Well. Time to go in...

Tame was greeted with a semi-formal dining room, and looked around for someone to talk to.

Alessi had taken yet another mission. She had been at this for a while. A vicious cycle of receiving a mission, completing it in less than half a day, then return to collect the ryo and credit for accomplishing the mission. Whatever... It wasn't too bad though. She did meet some rather interesting people along the way. If only she could get some more excitement in a mission. Alessi kept thinking of different situations that would be an ideal mission for her. Of course she had been doing this while walking to her destination. Snapping out of her random daydream, she realized she had been approaching the restaurant. Stopping to look at the restaurant and it’s surroundings for only a moment, she shook her head only once before walking right in.

Her eyes were immediately drawn upwards for some reason. Unfortunately, she kept walking forwards while staring and bumped into a nearby person. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to stop herself and avoid the collision. Alessi looked rather shocked that she bumped into the guy. Even if it wasn’t a heavy shove, it was still enough to get someone to turn around. “Eh... Sorry about that... I wasn’t paying attention...” Her voice sounded shaky at first, but quickly adjusted to a more calm tone.

[185 from last time]

Tame was...rather rudely bumped into. He turned around, that little forehead-vein pulsating (only slightly visible because his hair was let down). And who would he find but a young lady, a tad shorter than he was; she also seemed to be around his age, though her height suggested she was a bit younger. Maybe.. The young Yamada was glad that he brought his own pen and pad--he would be serving today, after all, or that's what they told him--so he could write out something to 'say' to this girl. Hello...By your Hitai-ate, I assume you're either here to eat or to help?

Tame entered the back room of the restaurant. Not the kitchen, no, just the staff break-room. Now, to find the person in charge...well, that would take awhile. It seemed quite busy out there, no breaks for anyone anytime soon.

After about, oh, say, two minutes, three seconds, and nine hundred and fifty three milliseconds, someone happened to pass through the hall that the break room's door happened to open up into. "Get to work. Both of you." The man who partially stepped into the room tossed aprons at them, before saying: "Front of the house. The menu for the day is in there...don't lose it. They need you up there...now. Go." And Tame went to take his first order, posthaste. Oh, how to do this...

Alessi looked down as the boy she had bumped into began to write something down. It was a little odd to her at first. Usually people respond right back, but there was definitely something off about him. The boy showed her the slip of paper, so she read it silently to herself. Once done with the reading, she answered the written question. “Um… Yes. I’m here on the mission… You must be on it too… I guess…” Before the boy was able to answer her back, he walked off. Alessi had no real choice but to follow right behind him.

Her and her new “friend” seemed to end up in the break room waiting for someone to brief them on what they were to do. It didn’t take long for someone to walk in and order them to get to work. Seeing how an apron was tossed to Tame first, she was more than prepared to catch hers and put it on right away. Right away, the man rushed them out of the break room and into the restaurant. “Well… He seems friendly…” Her voice was silent and filled with sarcasm. Heading over to the menu, she reviewed it quickly and went to take a few orders…

The first table was hell. Quite literally. This type of torture could only be equated to some form of divine punishment... What did I do!? Why!?

There was, of course, more than one thing that made it this way.

1. The menu. Everything, yes, literally everything, was swimming in wasabi. Tame, though possessed of a very open palate, had one pet peeve. He hated anything that was above a 2 on his spicy scale. Out of 5. Maybe 10.

2. The people. They literally would not shut up. Ever. For anything. Even as they were half--nah, three quarters--yelling their orders at Tame, the bulging vein on his forehead got ever larger. He suppressed his irritation/anger/every other negative emotion until he got back to the kitchen...where he dropped off the order.

The day pretty much went the same as that. Rinse and repeat and all that.

And before Tame knew it, it was ten o'clock, give or take half an hour. He sat on a bench in front of the restaurant. He saw someone exit the small eatery--which now had been closed for about an hour, but they had stayed to clean up--and gave a smile.

The dinner service went quite smoothly for Alessi. There were only minor problems that she was quickly and easily able to fix. The problems included things like needing more water, or even wanting the check a little sooner than normal. No table went unanswered, no customer was unsatisfied, and overall, everything went well. Eventually, it was time to leave, but she stayed a bit late cleaning up. Walking into the break room, she returned the apron. She then headed out of the restaurant and stretched slightly. All that walking around made her back and arms ache. They weren’t too sore, but sore enough. She never imagined that carrying plates of food to and from the kitchen would be such a chore to do. Of course, that’s only because it was for a few hours. Taking her attention off of herself for a moment, she noticed the boy on the bench nearby. She stared for only a quick moment before she remembered he was the one she ran into. Odd part being that he was alone on the bench. With a friendly smile, she went over to the bench and sat down next to him. Alessi didn’t say a word once she was next to him.
