Large indoor pools are in several places throughout the academy buildings for these purposes. Mission Description: A number of cats have been reported to be missing within Kirigakure, and some of the more wealthy citizens of the state have the funds to hire shinobi in order to find them. Find the missing cats and deliver them back to their owners unharmed.

Mission name: Organize Archives
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Serve as an archivist's assistants in the Kirigakure's archives.
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: Libraries full of a variety of scrolls are kept deep in the Kirigakure Administration Building's archives. The archivists responsible for these scrolls are always in need of assistance in organizing and alphabetizing their collection, along with preserving and cataloging new scrolls.

Mission name: Clean the Streets
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Ensure that Kirigakure stays beautiful.
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: Litter and other filth has a tendency to collect in the more densely populated areas of Kirigakure. Despite anti-litter campaigns by the village there is always some amount of trash that finds its way onto the streets and into the village's canals. Help make the village beautiful by cleaning the streets and fishing garbage out of the waterways.

Mission name: Bridge Repair
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Assist in building and repairing bridges and undersea tunnels.
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: Most of the islands that make up the Land of Water are either connected by bridge or through undersea tunnels, to allow for travel by land in addition to the common travel by sea. These bridges and tunnels require constant upkeep due to the weather they often receive from harsh weather and storms. Go with a team of other lower ranked shinobi and manual laborers and assist in the maintenance of one of these structures.



Mission name: Interrogation Practice
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Interrogate the Rōnin
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A fugitive rōnin that had been causing problems outside of Kirigakure had recently been captured, and is currently being held awaiting legal punishment. It has been determined that this rōnin should be interrogated first for any potential information regarding other bandits or disloyal shinobi prior to this. It's unexpected for this rōnin to have any useful information, and so the true purpose of this interrogation is to provide other shinobi with a live subject to hone their skills in the arts of torture and information gathering. Make sure not to kill them in the process, as its still required for them to receive a formal legal punishment for their crimes.
Mission Details: The captured rōnin will be initially reluctant to give up information, but will eventually under extreme duress.

Mission name: Guard Duty
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Guard the Village
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: There is a constant need for shinobi to work as guards for Kirigakure's outer walls and act as patrol scouts through the confines of the village. This is a common source of steady income for genin, as unlike other missions it is always available and generally has a low chance of danger.

Mission name: Ensure Samurai Loyalty
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Ensure the samurai stationed in Kirigakure don't get in any trouble.
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A number of samurai from Kibo are stationed as an official military force in Kirigakure. As the majority of the defense of Kirigakure is taken care of by shinobi these samurai are often left without anything to keep them occupied, and are occasionally found engaging in debauchery and degenerate behavior. The corporal punishment that these drunken samurai inevitably receive has been the cause of tensions between Kirigakure and Kibo in the past. To prevent things from getting out of hand, shinobi are often hired to ensure the samurai are kept in check.

Spend the day keeping watch on a group of samurai from a distance and ensure they do not engage in any illegal behavior without harming them or engaging in conflict.
Mission Details: There's a chance that the samurai will end up behaving perfectly fine, but most likely they'll be harassing a group of innocent, defenseless civilians or defacing public property.

Mission name: Guard Merchant Ships
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Guard merchants as they travel through the Kirigakure archipelago.
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Kirigakure spends an incredible amount of resources fighting pirates and ensuring the sea lands are safe for trade, as a large portion of their economy relies on this maritime commerce. Despite this many merchants feel that it's better to be safe than sorry, and often hire lower ranked shinobi to ensure the safety of their vessels.
Mission Description: This mission will require you to spend two weeks at sea as the merchants travel across Kirigakure's islands.

Mission name: Public Execution
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Execute a Criminal
Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A criminal has been captured and brought to justice. Their crimes against the people of Kirigakure were severe enough to justify a public execution, and thus a shinobi will be required in order to play the role of executioner. After the formalities are finished you will be tasked in ensuring the criminal dies. Use any method to kill the criminal you please, as long as the death is somewhat quick.

Their attempts to defame each other has begun to affect others, and there are fears that the tension will provoke a duel between the two. Their wives have collectively opted to hire a shinobi in order to take care of the problem before one of their husbands die. Convince the two samurai to make amends by any means necessary before their rivalry erupts into violence.

Mission name: Weed Garden

Objective: Maintain and weed a nobleman's garden.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni

Mission Description: The wealthy samurai in Kibo are fond of hiring shinobi to do menial and at times demeaning tasks, and weeding the extensive gardens that many of nobility keep is a very common outlet for this desire. Weed and maintain the garden, acting as essentially a mercenary gardener.

Mission name: Estate Cleaning
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Clean the estate of a prominent samurai clan.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: There is a tendency among the wealthier and more prominent samurai to hire shinobi in order to do menial and at times demeaning tasks. This is out of a jealousy of the prominence of the shinobi villages of the Land of Water, and a desire to remind shinobi of the supposed traditional social hierarchy of the nation. This is why a wealthy samurai is now requesting that shinobi take the role of house cleaners. Clean the man's estate to the best of your ability.
Mission Details: The samurai will have a general demeaning and insulting demeanor to those who take this mission, attempting to get them to humiliate themselves for his own entertainment.

Mission name: Entertain the Nobility
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Entertain the nobility with your shinobi skills.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: A group of prominent samurai have requested that a shinobi come to Kibo and display their skills in ninjutsu. They put a special request that the shinobi be "entertaining" and "good with children". Do your best to keep them occupied for the day.

Mission name: Farm Work

Objective: Assist farmers for the day.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: A group of free farmers have put out a request for shinobi to assist them in plowing fields, watering crops, and other general farm work. As even a lower ranked genin can work harder, faster, and longer than any normal civilian this tends to be a profitable exchange for both parties. Complete any tasks that the farmers require of you for the day.

Mission name: Polish Swords

Objective: Polish and clean a samurai's favorite katana.

Mission Description: A samurai has sent out an official mission to Kirigakure to request for a shinobi to provide professional care to an ornamental katana. The katana is apparently a family heirloom and invaluable, so provide it with care.

Mission name: Tutor Children of Nobility

Objective: Tutor a prospective samurai.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: One of the children of a prominent samurai clan has recently been born with the ability to manipulate chakra on the same scale that a shinobi would be expected to. It was determined that an expert shinobi should come and tutor the child in the basics of chakra control and hand seals, and teach them a general overview of what would be taught in the academy.

Mission name: Take Part in Kabuki Theatre
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Take part in a Kabuki theatre play.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: It is not uncommon for Kabuki theaters to hire shinobi for "special effects", or to play the roles of minor shinobi or stunt actors for their plays. Even the most basic ninjutsu can be incredibly effective in impressing an audience.
Mission Description: The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya is a popular Kabuki drama based off the real tales of the Konoha shinobi Jiraiya that is not uncommon to see performed even in Kirigakure. Those in charge will request you to use the transformation technique in order to transform into a giant toad for Jiraiya to ride throughout the play.



Mission name: Collect Taxes
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Collect taxes from the surrounding rural communities.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: The rural farms in the direct vicinity of Kibo are nearly entirely owned by samurai nobility, however the land is generally occupied and used by serfs rather than free farmers. Once every season tax collectors are sent in to these communities in order to collect a portion of what was grown. Several mules and a cart will be provided for you to collect the produce, however often these serfs are not the most willing to hand over the fruit of their labor. Rough up the farmers if they're unwilling to pay up.

Mission name: Mysterious Errands
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective:  Deliver the strange package.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A wealthy samurai has put out a request that a shinobi deliver a package to a marked location within Kibo. The package must be delivered unopened, and it was specially requested that nobody know of this delivery and that the shinobi remain completely unseen while delivering the package.
Mission Details: Opening the package or being seen while in the process of delivering it will result in the mission being failed.

Mission name: Babysit Nobility
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Babysit a troublesome child of nobility.  
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A troublesome child of nobility has recently been the talk of rumors throughout Kibo. It's said that the child is possessed by a demon, and that they've been responsible for the death of several of their past caretakers. Whether these rumors are true or not is impossible to confirm. The father of this child has recently requested for a shinobi to act as a temporary caretaker for the child, and that he was willing to pay the cost of a C-Rank mission instead of a D-Rank for what should be a trivial matter in itself is suspicious. Watch over the child for the day, and try not to be killed.
Mission Details: The child has strength comparable to a chunin, with C-0 stats around the board. While they have no capability to perform jutsu they are still incredibly dangerous and out to kill.

Mission name: Recover Stolen Jewelry
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Recover the stolen pearl necklace.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A beautiful and incredibly valuable diamond encrusted pearl necklace has recently gone missing, having disappeared right off its owner's neck. Track down the missing necklace and return it to its owner by any means necessary.
Mission Details: The necklace thief is a D-Rank orphan with D-3 stats across the board. They've taken refuge in the residence of a free farmer just outside of Kibo. They will not return the necklace without a fight.

Mission name: Spar with a Samurai
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Engage the samurai in a friendly sparring session.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: An experienced samurai has recently put out a mission requesting for a shinobi skilled in the use of weaponry to act as a sparring partner.
Mission Details: The samurai is C-Rank. His stats are as follows: C-1 Strength, C-1 Speed, C-0 Endurance, C-2 Perception, and B-0 Dexterity. He has a katana that he is skilled in the use of. The samurai will not aim to kill their opponent, and will stop if it appears that you are seriously injured.

Mission name: Steal Pillow
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Steal a pillow out from underneath a sleeping nobleman.
Location: Kibo, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: In order to test the supposed skill of Kirigakure's shinobi a high ranking minister of the daimyō has requested a peculiar mission in the terms of a challenge to Kirigakure. As a test of skill, the minister wishes you to attempt to steal a pillow out from under his head while he is sleeping without waking him.  
Mission Details: The minister has C-3 perception. Waking him or harming him in any way will fail the mission.

Objective: Repair and clean an aqueduct.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni

Mission Description: The navigable aqueducts play a large role in the transportation of water and general travel throughout Kirigakure. Land travel is made much faster and convenient due to the extensive networks that cover the Land of Water's main island. These aqueducts are in need of constant repair and maintenance to ensure efficiency. Clean any gunk or debris out and assist in the bricklaying for a repairs.

Mission name: Keep Terumi City Beautiful
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Clean beaches.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: Many beaches surrounding Terumi City have noticed a significant amount of debris washing ashore in recent weeks. The problem is rampant enough that is has started to adversely affect a portion of the local fishing industry. A request has been submitted for shinobi to aid in the clean-up efforts.

Mission name: Load and Unload Cargo
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Assist in taking shipping containers off incoming ships and loading them onto outgoing ships.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: A massive amount of trade passes through Terumi City's ports every day. Cargo is held in massive shipping containers that require the combined efforts of several men to move. Several shinobi have been hired for the purposes of assisting with this process and ensuring that the loading and unloading process goes smoothly.

Mission name: Gondolier Service

Objective: Operate a gondola service through the Land of Water.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: Gondolas and ferries are one of the most common forms of travel in the Land of Water. A popular gondola service advertises the use of trained shinobi as gondoliers, which can supposedly safely ensure the gondola remains steady even in extreme weather. This is a bit of an exaggeration, but the advertising has become extremely effective in creating a strong demand for shinobi gondoliers. Serve as a gondolier for the day and take the customers where they wish.


Mission name: Find Missing Fisherman
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: A fisherman has gone missing over the last few days. Find him.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: An elderly fisherman has reportedly been missing now for several days. His grandson has collected a meager amount of money in order to pay for a shinobi to search for him. As the fisherman's boat was found missing as well, it is presumed that he went out on a fishing trip only to never return. Do your best to travel out to sea and find out what happened to him.

Mission name: Razor Oyster Shucking
Mission rank: D-Rank
Objective: Shuck razor clams.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 150 Ryo
Mission Description: A local restaurant has put out a request for a shinobi to assist in the shucking of oysters and clams. These specific oysters are known for being razor sharp and have shredded the hands of many of those who have attempted this job in the past. As the oysters are still alive they will struggle against any attempts to be opened and make the process incredibly difficult and messy. There are several pounds that need to be opened.
Mission Details: The oysters can slice 1 cm deep, and require D-1 strength to be properly opened without cutting yourself.



Mission name: Pearl Diving
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Go diving in search of pearl producing mollusks.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Despite the advent of oyster farms and cultured pearls there is still a desire for "natural pearls" among the elderly population of Kirigakure who are suspicious of these "fake" pearls. Go out on a pearling boat into the sea and dive down in search of mollusks. Reaching these shellfish can require swimming over 100 feet down, and often thousands of oysters can be gone through without finding a single pearl. Medical conditions from the sudden pressure changes that come with diving can also result in the bends and shallow water blackout. That is, assuming you don't just drown.

Mission name: Whaling Expedition
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Help hunt down a whale.
Location: Terumi, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Whaling is an incredibly profitable, yet dangerous profession in Kirigakure. Whales primarily provide for meat and blubber, which can be turned into whale oil, but nearly every part of their body is valuable in some way. Their bones can be used in the production of corsets, and their tendons have numerous uses. Ambergris, a substance found in whale intestines, is worth more than ten times its weight in silver, and is commonly used in perfumes. A whaling expedition is being planned out of Terumi City, which will travel up into the Bay of Storms to search for whales, using the Dolphin Islands as a base of operations. Assist them in their expedition and help reduce any potential complications when it comes to locating, killing, and processing the whales.
Mission Details: Blue whales, the primary prey of these whalers, will have A-0 stats across the board and behave as if they were giant summons. They have no capability of using jutsu, and are generally more likely to flee in fear of danger than retaliate.

Mission name: Control Drunk Sailors
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Stop a drunken bar fight from getting out of hand.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Bar fights regularly happen in Terumi City, owing to the massing amount of sailors who are all too eager to spend their pay on rum and liqueur. To an extent these are considered a regular part of life, but that doesn't prevent the owners of these bars from trying their hardest to stop them from happening. Many have taken to paying shinobi as 'bodyguards' of sorts, so they can stop any potential drunken mischief before it starts. Seriously injuring anyone or killing will result in a failed mission.
Mission Details: The patrons of the bar will have all their stats at C-0.

Mission name: Buried Treasure
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Assist in a search for buried treasure.
Location: Terumi, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A small group of treasure hunters have collected, searching for an old pirate's buried treasure, which is rumored to have been left in "one piece", in some island in the Land of Water. Come along with them as a body guard and assist in their efforts to find the treasure.
Mission Details: Not finding the treasure is a perfectly acceptable outcome to this mission, as the request is based entirely off of rumors.

Mission name: Customs Officer
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Work as a customs officer in Terumi City's ports.
Location: Terumi City, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Act as a customs officer in Terumi City, scanning and search all cargo entering the city to make sure that no taboo or illicit goods are being smuggled in.
Mission Details: A perception stat of C-1 is required to properly scan the cargo, however failing this check does not fail the mission but instead results in those who hired you chewing you out for your mistakes.
