The new morning sun showered down Kumogakure no Sato with its blinding golden rays. Already, beads of cold sweat ran down the toned body of the young swordsman. Freshly cut blades of grass glided across an open field carried by a gentle breeze. Again... and again... and again, the faint sounds of a blade cutting across the wind would echo throughout the surrounding area. In the field of grass was a patch of grass which easily stood out from the rest. The field was laid with a bed of six foot tall grass, except for a particular area which saw the grass cut down to about a hips’ length.

A black silhouette danced through the field with precise and graceful movements, every stroke of his twin blades resulted in bundles of green being swept by the coming winds replacing the red streaks of blood which usually came along with the stroke of a sword.

The young swordsman was efficient, wasting not a single movement; it was a captivating sight to behold for any who knew their way around a sword. Within minutes, the once towering field of grass had been trimmed down to a more visually pleasing sight. The Sasaki heir had been working to trim untamed grasslands that had begun to serve as residence for wild animals. Usually, the young swordsman would have been unenthusiastic with the thought of accomplishing another mission that was simply glorified housework, but the chore given to him was perfect for what the golden eyed shinobi sought out.

With the recent event of his arrival in Kumogakure no sato, majority of Kyousuke’s time had been spent on reacclimating himself to the system of shinobi within the village and tending to his responsibilities as the clan’s next in line. It felt like a century had passed since the Sasaki had been left to his own vices. Luckily, his recent mission assignment was one that offered him a great, albeit, brief relaxation. While it would seem like simple manual labor for the eyes of many, there was nothing else in the world that offered the young swordsman more joy than the opportunity to freely cut something up with his two swords.

The shining silver edge of his twin blades faded into their black wooden scabbard; The Sasaki glistened with beads of cold sweat pouring down his body. Time had run its course, passing with the young swordsman not even realizing a minute go by, he looked to the now sunny sky. Having started, long before the sun gave its first light, his body now suddenly realized how long he had been working. As if seeking a reward for the tremendous work that he had put up, his stomach began to growl in hunger as he stood in the empty field of grass.

Yawn, it was bright and early as Rein was waking up from a tireless slumber. His alarm clock spout out the wretched sound of an early bird cockdoodledoo in the morning. His bunny companion Hakushi layed next to him like a guard in the night. Sitting himself up Rein lifted his hands high with an over reaching stretch cracking his back in the poccess. As looked at the clock he noticed that he had actually slept just over a hour without hearing a thing. Oh me oh my. Rein exclaimed. I can't beilve I overslept; how careless of me. Rein had intentions of wonding of raoming the Kumogakure plains as he was new to the village still trying to clear his mind to ease the pain of leaving Mt. Shukyou. Quickly he then jumped, threw on his kimino, sandles, and shinobi gear then rushed himself and Hakushi right out of the house.

Rein was quite excited for this was the day that he could finally meet someone who wasn't from the Shukyou Mountains. Just the day the before the Kage gave approval of his offical stay while also allowing him to skip the academy due to his display of skills. Still skeptical of the outside world but eager to learn of all the exciting thing the it had to offer. Money, fame, friends and peace; Rein dreamed to connect the world in ways that he hadn't ever known to have. His goals were to be not only great in the eyes of others but also in the eyes of his own. Though he didn't really have a desire to be Raikage if it becomes an obstacle to overcome to reach his will he would be willing to pull through.

Finally. Rein said to himself as he reached his destined location. I can't believe it. It's even more beautiful than I had imagined. He then gazed into the field with admiration. Hakushi does it really get any better than this? This is the  peacefulness I wish to bring onto all human and animals alike. After Rein explanitation knew noticed a young kid around his same age in the near distance. Hakushi this is our chance. Let's go introduce ourselve. Don't you admire new friends just as I do? Rein the lead the way to the you shinobi who seem to be training.

Half way to the young swordsman Rein noticed that he's suddenly put his weapons away. It was quite awkward to Rein that he'd just stop and stare into nothing even thought he just done so himself. Anyways coming from behind the shinobi Rein decided to introduce himself anyways. Hey!! Rein exclaimed to get his attention. How are ya? My name is Yotsuki, Rein and this is my companion Hakushi. We were watching you from a distance and we could tell that you are pretty sweet with a sword. Are you a shinobi too? He then kept blabbering. You see I'm kind of new to the village and was hoping to make friend that I can become strong and change the world with. Rein was quite sociallt awkward as he really didn't know when he was pushing up too much. What do ya say? Would you be my familiar? With the utmost confidence he knew that he nailed his introduction.

Kyousuke clutched his stomach as its audible grumble echoed aloud, likely alerting others in the surrounding area of the young swordsman’s hunger. Looking at the trimmed blades of grass, the heir grew satisfied. From the state of the field, he could confidently say that he had fully completed his duties… no matter how mundane those duties were. Through sheer luck, he had surprisingly found this one specific mission to be somewhat relaxing, though he hoped to never receive a mission of this status again. No one in history had ever become a shinobi in hopes of doing tedious housework, and Kyousuke, with his family’s long line of warriors, would not be the first to accept such tasks as work befitting that of his skill set. Suddenly, he snapped back from his state deep thought, feeling the presence of another. He turned his head, golden eyes drifting towards the sounds of the nearing footsteps behind him. A young boy looking to be of his age and height entered his sights, beside the teen was a small rabbit that seemed to be the blonde's companion. “Hey!!” The stranger’s voice called out cheerfully, successfully gaining the full attention of the Sasaki heir.

“How are ya? My name is Yotsuki, Rein and this is my companion Hakushi. We were watching you from a distance and we could tell that you are pretty sweet with a sword. Are you a shinobi too? You see I'm kind of new to the village and was hoping to make friend that I can become strong and change the world with. What do ya say? Would you be my familiar?”

The boy’s golden eyes blinked twice in succession, for a moment the visible look of confusion was written on his face. He looked to the stranger that introduced himself as Rein and then to Hakushi the rabbit. His eyes would move back and forth, trying to identify the two as he processed the swarm of words that had escaped the blonde's mouth. After a second or two, his eyes would lock on to the other boy, addressing him fully. “Rein, was it?” He asked, extending his right arm forwards, gesturing for a handshake. “I am Kyousuke of the Sasaki clan. It is nice to meet you, Yotsuki Rein.” He would say, offering his respects. Though usually not one so easy to befriend others, the boy was neither one to shoo people away, especially when they seemed to possess an aura of kindness that the teen in front of him had.

Had the other accepted his gesture, the young swordsman would then retract his arm and return his hand to rest at his right katana’s hilt. “I'm not too sure what you meant by changing the world, but I wouldn't mind showing you around Kumogakure if you're in need of a tour guide.” He offered. Once more, he would be interrupted by the roar of his grumbling stomach, a reminder that he had not yet eating anything for the day. His eyes wandered to the still empty roads of the wilderness, harkening back to the direction of the village. “As you could already tell,” The boy began, “I haven't yet had breakfast, so the first stop along the tour of Kumogakure no Sato shall be my restaurant of choice.” He mused jokingly as he slowly walked towards the beaten path, leading the way back to the village.

Rein had noticed the look of confusion in the young mans face as he introduced himeslf and Hakushi. He though that maybe he had went a little overboard with the chatting instead of letting things flow naturally. It was typical of himself to push things on a little too quickly to others. However talking a lot is what came naturally to Rein, so acting out of his own element would mostly likey come off as even more akward that talking the way that he do. It was now Rein's time to listen as the youn man extented his hand out to him as a greeting from one shinobi to another.

Shaking hand the swordsman introduced himself Kyousuke. I am Kyousuku of the Sasaki Clan. It is nice to meet you Yotsuki, Rein. He said in a respectful manner even though his body language spoke indifference. Rein had an innate ability to pick up on the smallest details. Rein was it? He asked. I'm not too sure what you meant by changing the world, but I wouldn't mind showing you around Kumogakure if you're in need of a tour guide. Then Rein noticed a faint rumbling sound while Kyousuku looked off into the distance. Immediately Rein thought Kyousuku been out too long and possibly needed to poop. However Kyousuku continued strong. As you could already tell, I haven't yet had breakfast, so the first stop along the tour of Kumogakure no Sato shall be my restaurant of choice. With that being said Rein realized that he hadn't had breakfast himself. Kyousuke then turned making and started a slow stroll deeper into the village.

Making his away just two steps behind Kyousuke, Rein had began to conjure up another plethora of words. I cant lie to you Kyousuke. I thought for a second there that you would deny my request for friendship. Had that happened this would have turned out to be a rough start for me you know? Rein then smiled and giggled a little before he began to talk again. Then just after that I really thought you had to poop but it was just a stomach growl. Rein laughed hysterically as he tried to finish his statement. So where exactly are we going to eat? I'd perfer sushi if their is a good spot in town.

It would seem as if these two we're getting along like two peas in a pot. In a way Rein felt that this could have been misleading as he could have been too naive at times for his own good. This didn't matter though as he felt somewhat safe because he was in the village. He recognized the skill of Kyousuke was pretty good but still far form polished. So, when we get there shall we share each other goals? I'd like to hear so much more about yourself and the Sasaki clan and I know little to nothing about. Rein would then silence himself and let Kyousuke take the wheel in steering what could be a new forming bond between the two.

As the heir walked to the village he slowed his pace down, allowing the other to follow easily. The blonde shinobi was just a few steps behind as Kyousuke continued to lead the way back to Kumogakure looking for a suitable place to eat. Along the way Rein decided that he would pass the time between their travel with a bit of small talk on their journey to the village. At first he shared his thoughts and reliefs on having the heir respond positively to his notions of friendship. Though Kyousuke reserved the word ‘friend’ for special people who he cared for deeply, he simply nodded along with the blonde shinobi’s words. Having just met the teen, he couldn’t quite place him in that category just so easily, yet he believed it would be far too awkward to outright state that fact. So far Rein seemed to be a nice person, albeit somewhat strange. After a faint giggle the blonde shinobi began to speak of Kyousuke’s growling stomach, likening it to the noise one would have made if they had diarrhea. It was an innocent joke, though one that the heir would not allow to go unanswered for. “Well, your hair looks like mustard.” He immediately replied, quipping lightly. Afterwards Rein suggested that they eat at a restaurant that served sushi, a strange thing to have first thing in the morning, but luckily it fit with the kind of food he was currently craving. “I wouldn’t mind that.” He said, continuing to walk down the roads. Seemingly full of energy, the blonde asked if they should exchange goals, and then followed up by his inquiries of the Sasaki clan to be answered upon their arrival. “Sure.” Kyousuke said, accompanying his one word with a nod.

Eventually the beaten path they followed led back to the village. The heir led his new found acquaintance to a traditional japanese restaurant within Kumogakure’s bustling commercial districts known as ‘Daikazoku’. The restaurant was quaint compared to its surrounding competition that all appeared modernized and new. Before entering Kyousuke turned to the blonde. “It may not look like much, but I assure you they have the best food around.” Having been hesitant upon his first time dining at the small restaurant a few days ago, the heir wished to assure Rein on the food’s quality. Upon entering a petite waitress in her mid 20s greeted them with the usual energetic ‘Irasshaimase!’. The two were sat at a booth,before the waitress took out a notepad from her pocket and proceeded to take their orders. Laid upon the wooden table were menus of the restaurant’s food choices ranging from sushi, donburi, to ramen. Having already been somewhat experienced in the food selection, the heir ordered without so much as a peak. “I’ll have one order of katsudon and a bowl of tempura with red tea.” He looked to his companion, awaiting whatever choice of food he wished to have.

After taking their order, the girl moved on to the kitchen leaving the two alone to talk. “So,” The heir began, pausing for a moment to seat himself to a more comfortable position. “You asked about my goals, but if I’m being honest they’re fairly ordinary. The Sasaki are well known throughout the village as master swordsmen and loyal knights to the Land of Lightning, like those before me I simply wish to do the same and serve my country. What about you?” He asked, having already answered all of Rein’s questions.
