Spoiler:

It was a big event today. Everybody was rushing back and forth through the streets of the village hidden in the Leaves. It was time for the Chuunin Exams, the test that was held every so often. Seems to be the what's driving people to run back and forth like this and gathering shinobi and villagers alike from even other countries. This was also the exact reason Kizmaru himself was here roaming the streets of Konoha. He was here to participate in the Chuunin exams and wanted to do but, there was still some time to do some site seeing and since this was his first time being in a different country, let alone village, he wanted to check out the new view while he could. He was actually amazed civilization could be found here in the middle of a forest next to a cliff. Hell, maybe it's easier to do so since there doesn't seem to be any shortage of food or water. It's not like the rock village suffered from shortages or anything like that but it seems like they had they more bountiful land. Either way, he felt living like this would be a bit too cushy for the shinobi life. Still, that wasn't the point he was trying to make. In the end, he wanted to go sightseeing and maybe do a few jobs here or there. There was a particular spot that he planned on making his way too. He had gotten some directions from some residents of the Leaf village and decided he'd make his way there. he was told that he wouldn't find anything there other than an empty lot that's currently going to be turned into something for the exams. Well, regardless he decided it was best to go and have a look.

Glancing down at the flyer in his hand, Taiho honestly couldn’t believe that he had made it. It had been almost a year since he had been fully inducted into the Shinobi forces and he had liked to say that he had improved a great deal since stepping under the tutelage of Maikumaru, but of course nothing ever satisfied the young man. No matter how much he trained and improved, it was never enough for him. He wanted more, he needed more. More techniques, better stances, more power, more discipline, more strength, more, more, more! And his thirst had carried him far past any of his past adversaries, past any potential hardship or hang ups. He was now confident in himself, confident in his abilities, and confident in his standing in the village. He was one of the rising stars, one of the up and coming threats that the village would have at it’s beck and call. He was certain that after these exams eyes would be on him for a good deal of time, even if most of those eyes would be paying attention to him for... other reasons. He’d arrive at the location of his mission early, and figured that since he was slightly early he’d wait about for his partner or his client before he’d head into the club itself to begin.

Well, this was no surprise. It was indeed indeed a construction site alright. Regardless, this was the place where he'd take on a job that he, himself, wanted to do. So, it was simple really, some guys higher him to do some light guard work. It's not like he would be doing actual combat or anything like that. All he had to do was make sure that people were acting accordingly and didn't get into all sorts of trouble as well as making sure the wrong people didn't wander in while construction was ongoing. After arriving, Kizmaru decided he would take a position in front of the fenced off area and just stand there to keep watch. All was going well until he noticed something that he didn't before arriving at the scene. Is that...? Kizmaru's neutral face had been painted with a number of expressions that he couldn't quite fit on one face even if he wanted too. He continued to look just in case he was seeing shit or if there was something in the air but nope, it was definitely something just wasn't gonna allow them to be apart from each other, huh? Damn, no matter where he goes he just he just can't catch a break it seems but you know what. Fine. This is fine. he was gonna suck this up and do this job right. he wasn't gonna start anything, at least for now. He was gonna do his job and then he was gonna leave. Although he decided that he wouldn't approach her first and if they ended up speaking to each other then that would be the end of that. Other than that, he had things he wanted to go and goals to achieve so he decided it would be best to keep a leveled head and focus on them instead of start trouble in a place he was basically a foreigner too.

The mission location was rather too dark and drab for Taiho’s tastes. The construction area had been repurposed into an open air club full of loud music and far too many teens getting inebriated before they were legally allowed to be. The whole environment felt like something out of a comic book or shitty romantic comedy if he was fully honest, but it didn’t matter too much to him considering he was getting paid to be a bouncer for the whole thing. He doubted there was going to be much of anything occuring while he was there but he was certain that his ability to be annoyed and then irritated was going to be tested as he turned away yet another gaggle of small children who were attempting to get drunk the night before the exams started. It honestly blew his mind that so many children were so eager to get drunk in Konoha. He’d have thought that in the ‘Greatest of the Five’ the children would have some semblance of respect for authority but no, here he was swatting away another group of fake ID’s.

The whole situation made him wonder if his partner for the mission was going through a similar ordeal and during a lull in the ever encroaching wave of people trying to get in, he spotting the young man that he had been working with for the better part of a few months. The boys name fell off his tongue in a way that matched the level of apathy he had for the boy but he figured it wasn’t fair to subject him to such scathing impressions when he himself was also at fault for a good deal of them. It seemed he was finally getting better at reigning in his anger, even if it was only so that he didn’t go off on people who didn’t rightly deserve to be snapped on.

Well, this was quite ridiculous. It seems the situation has blown up larger than he had expected it too and was now almost overrun by kids native to this country that were a bit older than him and a few others trying to blend into the mold. He wasn't sure how he was gonna deal with this all at once but he decided he had to start somewhere. He started to check I'D's of the "legal patrons" that came up to him and tried to get in. he turned a lot of them away since they were fake and some were so bad that he was genuinely amazed some people made attempts at using it to try to get in. Of course, this eventually led to somebody even wondering why a kid like Kizmaru was even checking people's I'D's in the first place when he wasn't even old enough to be here himself. Kizmaru grits his teeth briefly at the question before inhaling and then exhaling. He calmed himself down a bit before explaining that he volunteered for the job, even though he didn't expect to be picked, but regardless it was his duty to just watch over some folk so they didn't get too pugnacious. There was some murmuring here and there but in the end it didn't seem the answer he gave satisfied most of the crowd of older kids anyways. Kizmaru tilted his head and wondered if something was about to start. Normally, he'd be up for this sort of conflict but this time around, he wasn't. He wasn't exactly in his own territory and assumed starting trouble in a foreign land could end poorly, even if he was employed by residents of said foreign land. Kizmaru then tried his best to keep the situation under control as well as his temper under control.

The crowd began to grow rowdier as it became obvious that they likely weren’t going to get into the party, something that seemed to trigger a bit of Taiho’s sadistic side as he began to gather chakra into his legs to disperse the crowd personally. It seemed that the growing aura that he was continuously displaying and the power that his body was beginning to output had gained the attention and despair of the group of teenagers and civilians as they began to back away slowly from the ever intense bouncer. The thought that these kids could even attempt to try him, drove him up four walls. Calming down as the crowd began to disperse or move away from his entrance, he’d take the moment to exhale and take a breather from the job he was given. He wasn’t certain how his partner was handling the mission, but he was sure that it was likely just as annoying as his own ordeals. Luckily he didn’t have anyone playing the age game with him, so he didn’t have to worry about popping someone in the snout for getting funny.

He would take this time to approach Kizmaru, the young male seemingly getting his group of kids under control with a succinct explanation of the situation. The boys demeanor and the way he addressed the crowd impressed Taiho heavily as he approached, taking the situation much better than he himself had and far more professionally. Of course, Taiho had an infamously and infinitely short patience limit and thus was far more prone to snapping off and potentially killing more of the people trying to get into the event. That wasn’t to say that Taiho still wasn’t going to rib on the younger boy for getting told that he was too young to guard an event that was selling alcoholic beverages, while also conveniently leaving out that he as well was far too young to be bouncing for an event that sold alcoholic beverages.

Walking up to him, he’d smile to the boy before giving the remaining lagging patrons who clearly didn’t belong inside a side glance that let them attempting to enter through either entrance was not in their best interest. This caused whoever was left to promptly leave the area before they were assaulted and thrown out against their will, something that the Taiho’s group had learned just moments earlier. Seeing that the crowd had finally dispersed, he turned to Kizmaru before speaking plainly to the younger boy, “So I’m guessing you’re in these exams as well. We should hang out sometime. I know we don’t often get along back in Iwa but hey, we’re both out of place in this green shithole. Might as well stick together to avoid any issues”.

He wasn’t expecting the boy to take him up on his offer but he would leave it on the table anyway before walking away to collect his pay. He still had some last minute training to do before the exams began and he knew he was going to need every bit of it to win it all.

Kizmaru was doing his best to try the quell the crowd's unrest with just his words and explanations alone. But this, this was just getting a bit ridiculous, even for him. Still he thought it'd be best to continue to do it this way in hopes that they would eventually give up and go home. Suddenly, it seems that a commotion coming from another end of site had quieted the crowd in front of him down a  bit. He wasn't entirely sure what it was but he figured that he should go check it out but he couldn't exactly move from his spot without all these idiots in front of him. Then again, even though he couldn't see what was going on, he could already guess what, more accurately who, had happened. Oh look, guess who came to approach him shortly after the commotion had subsided. it was that one chick whose name he's never gotten yet despite being acquainted with for a decent amount of time. Why didn't he bother to ask her name. he thought about it but then realized that all the times that they did run into each other, he wanted nothing more to do with her than what was expected. He scoffed a bit, continuing to watch her approach. When she was close enough, it seemed she gave off an intimidating presence that drove off the crowd that Kizmaru had been desperately been trying to calm down with his words alone. He was trying his hardest to avoid doing something like that in case it would come back to bite him in the ass but it's too late to do so now. Still, he was grateful for the assist that was provided for him and turn to thank the woman.

She had said something to him about hanging out or whatever. Kizmaru didn't respond to the offer at that moment but maybe it was best if he stopped avoiding this person and more than likely seek them out, especially in a place like this. After all, it wasn't his native region so it was best to stick with other Rockies. Besides, if anything happens, he'd just pin it on the the chick who lost her temper. That's all. On a serious note, he wouldn't mind hanging out with her but he didn't exactly want to voice it aloud. Anyways, it was time to rip this thing up. There wasn't much going on anymore and soon the patrons that came here for their makeshift bar were starting to leave one by one. He told most of them that were leaving "Have a goodnight." to be courteous but really, he just wanted out. This place has gotten on his nerves and he wanted to let off some steam elsewhere. Finally, it was quitting time. It was time to go home. It seems like the woman had already taken her leave after that offer she made earlier but that's fine. He was sure he'd run into her again. Kizmaru then decided he would try and help out with another errand elsewhere. It wasn't exactly what he wanted to do but it was something that was demanded of him.
