ROOT storyline missions (quest) 0cHPtBf
Mission name: ROOT - Lurking
Mission rank: C-rank.
Objective: Information Gathering.
Location: Konoha - Any.
Reward: 300 ryo +1 EP
Mission Description: "Men in gold have made their way throughout townships surrounding the Hidden Village, they are non-violent, and seem to practice a peaceful religion, however, fringe groups must be treated with caution. ANBU agents have been dispatched throughout Fire Country to gather information on the group's movements, and among them, elite spies with their own directive, posing as ANBU, seek to gather information on their origins."

Development References: What Lies Beneath Event - Kumo Missions

http://www.narutosaga.com/t28160-the-scales-of-yama-hunt-for-yatagarasu (Di and Kirei track the movements of a cult in yellow robes in Kiri)

Mission Details: ROOT agents have been assigned as Konoha ANBU and placed into information gathering assignments. The purpose of ROOT is to infiltrate operations of the group and see where, if anywhere, they originate, and for what true purpose they may be spreading throughout Konoha. Undercover missions are considered failures if the agent's false identity is exposed as a member of ANBU, therefore, use of advanced shinobi, ANBU or ROOT techniques is forbidden, and would result in being recognized. In addition, leaders of the cult's cells are B-ranked shinobi, possessing Ninjutsu and any two elements, which should not be taken lightly in the event the situation turns violent.

Mission name: ROOT - Fog
Mission rank: B-rank.
Objective: Intelligence.
Location: Konoha.
Reward: 500 ryo + 1 EP.
Mission Description: "Inabayama has taught us that tensions between villages and rogue elements, domestically and abroad, remain volatile even in this time of peace. Konoha must take measures to strengthen herself against potential threats, and information networks should be setup across the country to both consolidate our intelligence stream and oppose the efforts of others who may want to do us harm."

Development References: http://www.narutosaga.com/t27185-the-siege-of-inabayama-open

Mission Details: Anywhere in the Land of Fire, ROOT agents may use whatever means they choose to establish contacts throughout townships, camps, and merchant companies, building relations with them and creating methods by which information can be exchanged for services or money. Agents should also encourage such contacts to sever ties with others, either by eliminating their current contacts, threats, or by offering more lucrative rewards. All information is usable, and this mission is only considered a failure if the identity of ROOT itself is somehow revealed.

More to come.
