Mizuki was used to missions that involved patrolling or taking out troublemakers, but the A-rank she had been given surprisingly involved proper diplomacy. Interactions with a group of rebels was to be established, casually dubbed the 'Glass Lotus' by the forces of Kumogakure for the peculiar glass lotus flower they had crafted and used as their symbol. Their intentions were not known to Kumogakure but the obvious lack of desire to oppose the Kumo shinobi forces during the cleaning of Sunagakure had attracted the interest of the Raikage. Aside from wondering if that was to be considered a good thing to begin with, the idea that an interaction as this was classified as an A-rank despite not requiring one to put their life on the line gave the kunoichi a reason for worry. What was the catch?

A shinobi was to be prepared for the worst. Mizuki would not disregard that sort of wisdom. Under the white cotton shirt she'd wearing, the solid leather of her personal armour would be hiding. On top of that, white cotton robes would cover her arms and most of her torso, functioning as a second layer to hide her armour and the white skirts she was wearing. Her black hair would cascade down the robes, partially tied together in the middle with her favourite purple ribbon, and scented with jasmine flowers. The headband bearing the Kumogakure kamon would be tight around her forehead to make her affiliation clear as an honest indication she had come to speak in the name of the Raikage. Lastly, as usual, her trusted katana would be attached to her tool belt, the scabbard resting snugly against her hip and positioned so she could draw her katana at a whims notice.

Considering herself ready for the mission, Mizuki would move to meet up with the rest of her team. One of those would be Raphael, but the others, if there were others to begin with, would reveal themselves as they gathered up. Two special jounin, just in case things went south, would have to create the opportunities needed for a swift escape. Precautions despite the non-violence the mission boasted. Additional members, if there were any, would be interesting to have either as an additional pair of eyes and ears that could gauge the mood and desires of the crowd they were to meet, or as assistance when escape was necessary. Even without violence, with the mission being an A-rank, political strategies would be required.

Waiting at the gates for the team to gather, Mizuki would be watching the horizon and the slowly rising sun as a new day greeted them. Those of her team that arrived would be greeted politely with a bow and a good morning, as was typical to Mizuki's elegant behaviour.

A-rank
Raphael woke before the morning sun rose over the horizon, the young special jounin had a busy day ahead of him. A rebel force has formed, they call themselves the glass lotus and though there is no real information on them he was chosen along with Mizuki to lead an investigation into them as well as try to conform them to help Kumogakure in the implementation of the Raikage's plan for the land of wind.

Raphael got dressed in his normal attire of his white pants and black sleeveless shirt before putting on his anbu armor, he knew that this was to be a peaceful mission but it was better to be safe rather than sorry as even the most peaceful meetings had the potential for danger. With his armor secure the boy tied his hitai ate around his forehead and strapped the rest of his gear into their positions, his windmill shuriken on his back and his tanto in its sheath running horizontally on his belt in the back. After checking his pouches for his other various weaponry the boy threw on his all white travel cloak bearing the Kozai clan symbol on the back. His cloak would effectively hide all of his gear as well as his armor. Once the boy was satisfied that he had everything and he was ready to go the boy pulled the hood of his cloak over his head and left his tent headed for the gate of the border camp.

The desert air was still cool with a slight breeze flowing through the camp as the sun slowly began rising over the horizon in the distance. As the boy walked his thoughts trailed back upon all the things that the hidden cloud village had accomplished so far within the land of wind, all the people that they had been able to help as well as all the criminals and low lives that had been dealt with. Raphael's thoughts soon shifted to the mission at hand, the young shinobi had never really gone on a diplomatic type mission such as this before where words were more important than action as the boy usually worked assignments that involved the use of force. It would be interesting for the boy to have to use his tongue rather than his fist, he was however extremely glad he did not have to do this alone. Mizuki was the diplomat to the Raikage, so the boy had no doubt that she was more than skillful in the use of her words to reach the goal set before them. While it would be easy for the boy to just let Mizuki do all the talking, he knew that if he did not at least try then he would never improve his people skills. A trait that would be needed in the future whenever he took the reigns of leadership of his clan from his mother, something that would happen whether he wanted it or not according to the boy's mother. As the boy neared the camp gates he saw that Mizuki had already arrived at the gate and was waiting for him as well as whoever else would be joining them, the woman's raven black hair in perfect contrast to her white robes that the boy knew to be her normal attire. The boy had hoped that everyone would have already arrived but it appeared that he would have to wait on them. As he drew nearer to the raven haired kunoichi he was greeted with a good morning and bow which he would return in kind, "good morning Mizuki, I hope you have not been waiting long." After he got up next to her, Raphael would lean up against the makeshift wall that surrounded the Kumogakure encampment, as he joined the kunoichi in waiting for whoever else might show up.

What once was one of the five great villages was now a ravaged desert, with the remaining major villages having their own ideas for empty desert and lost citizens. Every village responded by setting up border camps around the desert, all with their own goal. Kumogakure's goal was simple. The leaders of the village hidden in the cloud saw the remains of Sunagakure as an opportunity to bring law and order the animals that sought to live a free life, taking them under their wing as tools for the village. To accomplish this, the village sent every shinobi that seemed like they would have some use out to help. While some volunteered, others didn't have any choice other than to follow the orders of their superiors.

Standing with the ones ordered was Zetsumei, Makoto. To her superiors throughout the village, Makoto showed immense promise. Because of her roots as a Zetsumei, a clan of practical prodigies, Makoto was one of the many sent to the Land of Wind despite only being a genin. While others would fear the wild, ravaged land, Makoto faced it bravely. She saw it as the chance to show her worth as a young kunoichi and was ready for whatever came her way.

Only a day after her arrival, Makoto was assigned to a mission. She did have some experience with missions in the past, they were all D-Rank, which was basically the same as simple everyday chores that were made for inexperienced Genin. The mission she was assigned, however, was labeled as an A-Rank. Missions of this kind were normally restricted to those of Jōnin and involved run-ins with various types of criminals, which meant it wasn't uncommon for one to die while on one. This specific mission, however, involved nothing of that nature. It was a seemingly simple mission that involved diplomacy on a large scale. A mission made for people who were trusted with diplomatic procedures. While Makoto couldn't see herself as someone of that nature, she made it clear to herself that she was on this mission as an observer, acting on nothing besides potential opportunity.

Waking up early the scheduled day, Makoto prepared for her mission. Briefing herself the night before, she was aware that she would be under two Jōnin while on this mission. While this was probably for the success of the mission, she knew that they were there as a security blanket as Makoto, even if they were unaware. For the mission, she threw on what she wore every day. A tight, long-sleeved white shirt under a black vest, paired with a red pleated plaid skirt, black pantyhose, and black-brown ankle boots. While not the attire one would recommend for the desert, it didn't seem to bother the young kunoichi. With her hair combed and her hairband in place, Makoto exited her tent.

As she approached the meeting location by the walls, Makoto was greeted by three shinobi. One was a woman not that far from Makoto's age, but far more elegant. With graceful white robes and long flowing hair, she was definitely far beyond Makoto, a kunoichi worth looking up too. The other was a blonde haired man who seemed closer to Makoto's age, who had a white cloak covering most of his body. Although mysterious, the man seemed powerful and strangely intimidating. When she approached the two, the older woman would bow as a greeting, in which Makoto would immediately return. Bowing deep, she opened her mouth to speak. "Good morning to you as well, I apologize for my tardiness. My name is Zetsumei, Makoto and I was assigned to this mission along with you both. I am rather inexperienced, so I hope I don't act as a hindrance." As she finished her introduction, she came back up from her bow, showing a face of determination and readiness.

Zetsume Zix

Zetsume Zix

D-rank
Zetsume found himself between a rock and a hard place. Repede, just learned of a possible mission that could involve working with Mizuki. Zetsume for one did not want to take the mission, but after hours of literal hounding by Repede, he caved. He was not one to bring much on missions anymore. Even his original bow passed down to him, Hishu, was not used in so long that the dust on top of it was noticeable. The main and probably only reason he did not want to partake was because it specifically stated to not cause any blood shed. Zetsume let out a long sigh as this was not his thing. The idea of being Raikage never interested him for all the politics involved. Oh how he hated conversing. By the time Zetsume was ready to leave, Repede was already too excited to stay still. The dog would run around Zetsume, nip at his feet as if saying hurry up, and would bark if he was talking too long. The thought of shooting the dog was not far from thought nor reality by this point. When Zetsume opened the door, Repede ran out running far ahead of him with eager eyes. Letting out a long sigh, he yelled to the dog which caused others within the encampment to look at him, "Do not run too far off!"

The dog did listen at all, his only reply was a half bark that was mixed with his running. Stuffing his hands into his pockets and cursing the day, he followed but in a much slower pace. Zetsume would not be that late, just a bit though. He wondered how much strong Mizuki had gotten since he had seen her. During his slight walk he could not help but to think how little he has grown recently.

Repede darted forward without much resistance. Aside from the heat, nothing seemed to slow the dog down as he made his way towards the meeting zone. Upon arrival there were faces the dog did not know but there was one he did. When his eyes landed on her, he bolted like never before to her side and rubbed his soft head against here in hopes she would show him affection. To Repede for the time being, it would be as if the other two were invisible.

Zetsume was not far behind perhaps a minute, though when he reached the meeting spot he was perplexed by the other two shinobi. He was told that they would all be members from Kumogakure and deep down he should probably feel embarrassed not to at least know one of them. One was a kunoichi, dressed with a long sleeve white shirt covered by a black vest. If it were not for the skirt, Zetsume would have wondered how she would stay cool out here. Then again, not like his short sleeve white shirt with a black jacket was much better with his black jeans. Even he was far too hot for his own comfort. The other person he did not recognize was a male that wore the anbu jacket. Zetsume was surprised by this, and also impressed. He did not particularly care for his choice of weaponry as he could not see a bow. At least he would remember them for this, even if he should have known they were in his village but then again it was not like he was living near the village to hear rumors of any sort. Zetsume took his hands out of his jacket and waved to the people. Mizuki bowed as if greeting, but Zetsume was not one to bow these days. Giving a quick glance at them all, including Repede who was off in his own world, Zetsume flashed a smile before speaking calmly, "Quite the force we have here, I'd say. Oh my name is Zetsume Zix, and that is Repede. You can just call me Zix because it is easier. Good to see you again Mizuki, you seem well and it is a pleasure to meet the both of you. I look forward to working with all of you."

His eyes flashed among his fellow shinobi. There was a sense of pride and fulfillment seeing them here all ready for missions. Zetsume's small pause in sentence was picked back up before anyone could say another, "Speaking of this mission. I noticed it states no bloodshed. That means no killing right? It would be far easier to subjugate them through fear than a promise of loyalty. For all we know they could already be working for another village and this would give them a chance to sneak people into our encampments. I for one cannot trust their word so easily. Has anyone discussed a plan or thought of one? This kind of mission is not my specialty."

He paused before saying more, he knew if he continued he would have an even worse first impression than already. Deep down though, he felt like he was right. How can we really trust these people we are recruiting.... Zetsume looked at Repede, who was finally with the conversation. It would only be a matter of time before he tried to get attention from everyone.

Daremo

S-rank
Reptilian eyes stared impassively at the messager-nin, he having rapted against the tent moments prior, waiting for them to deliver the message. Few words were exchanged between the pair, mainly pleasantries, as a scroll was handed over, and taken by Daremo. The silver-haired male watched as the messenger-nin turned around, walking away from the tent, and disappearing amongst the others littered across the main base. Turning around, he walked back inside of the tent, idly twirling in the left hand.

Stopping after only a few steps inside, he eyed the light tan scroll in hand. The official seal of the Raikage binding the parchment together. The unique tinge of raiton coursing through it, letting him know that the seal was authentic, and not a fake made by someone else. Breaking the seal the contents of the scroll was revealed. Scanning over the details, Daremo gleamed the mission was a non-combative, but diplomatic one. He, along with some others, will be interacting with a group dubbed as the ‘Glass Lotus’. The name coming from the glass lotus that has become a symbol for the group. A neutral group, at least in the way that they did not oppose the advancement of the Kumo forces.

Finishing reading the contents of the scroll, a small burst of raiton chakra was used, disintegrating into a pile of ashes. With the contents of the scroll memorized, Daremo’s thoughts shifted to the particular type of mission. It had been some time since he had been on a diplomatic mission. A mission where the solution that could not be solved with brute strength and jutsus, but, needing the finesse that only words could achieve. He enjoyed these types of missions for various reasons. They allowed him to duel with others of similar or superior intelligence than him. To dance in a battle of wordplay with those who may have more experience than he had in the area. To methodically pick through each word, trying to figure out the meaning of each word, to see if the opposition motives could be discerned from them. Not only that, he had to be careful with his own words, making sure his own reasons were blatantly apparent.

Stepping away from his inner musing, Daremo slipped on a cream colored kosode. The article of clothing being followed with black hakama pants, and matching Jika-tabi footwear. A black slash was wrapped around his waist, securing the pants in place. Slipping on a cream colored haori, he made sure everything was meticulously in place. While the conversation might not be taken in a formal setting, it would do him an injustice if he did not dress his part. His hand was put into a low hanging ponytail. For the time being, his headband was wrapped around his forehead. It would most likely be removed sooner than later. The only weapons on his person were a couple of black senbons.

“Ready for this mission?”, Daremo asked his wife. Having brief her on the details of the mission while getting dress. Some time had passed since the pair did a mission with one another due to them being assigned in different areas. So, it was refreshing to get a chance of going on a mission with her again. “Once we meet up with the others, I suggest we both henged into other people. I was going to henged into a woman. Men tend to find it easier to talk to an attractive woman, and while you are extremely beautiful. This mission would go to hell if a man tried to flirt with you. For only I can do that.”, He admitted, slipping on the silver wedding. There was no denying, when it came to Kaia, the silver-haired male was territorial. It came with being a Sage. “This mission might be simple, but be wary of the words spoken. When it comes to diplomatic missions or anything like this, mother used to say ‘politicking is more dangerous than any ninja battle.’ Words have more power than any jutsu for they can make or break a nation, and have everlasting consequences.” With that been said, he waited for his wife before exiting the tent.

The trek to the meetup location was a simple affair with Daremo making idle talk with Kaia. The conversation turned to their twins, wondering what they were doing right now. Was that harassing his giant Komodo companion? Nagging the princess lizard, or were they busy spending time with their great-grandparents. Their conversation soon came to a halt upon getting closer to the gate. His yellow, reptilian eyes looked over the assembled people. Taking note of the woman in white robes, returning the bow that was given. “Sorry for being late, we were just informed about us accompanying you on this mission only moments ago.”, He spoke, apologizing for seemingly being the last to arrive. “Name's Kobayashi Daremo. It is a pleasure to meet you all, and I look forward to working with you.”, Unless asked, he did not see any reason to give out his rank. It meant nothing in the grand scheme of things.
It was interesting to note out of everyone there, it seemed he was the only one who was not armed in case things went south. His attire being something many would deem inappropriate for a mission of this caliber. It being something that should only be worn on formal occasions, yet, it was not. “What is the plan for the mission? Do we have any idea if they are open to talks or are we going there under an assumption that they are? They could already be working for another village, although, depending on their motives, we could offer than more than their current ally. Turning them against it. Just depends on if the alliance is worth it. “ Nothing else was said, as he waited for an answer. There were other variables to take into account, but, unless asked for his opinion, Daremo would remain silent.

Kaia~Mai

Kaia~Mai

D-rank

So many changes, not just myself but everything else too.

Life was a strange and fickle thing sometimes: it did all sorts of things to you that you weren't expecting, and threw things at you that you weren't prepared for. It could alter your course you had set, or cause you to veer off of it entirely as it had done with Kaia~Mai, her husband, and the rest of her family. She had never truly expected herself to join another village – simply wondering around and enjoying freedom and relaxation had suited her just fine – especially a village that she a but in the end the pros had vastly outweighed the cons and the decision had been made. It was a decision that even now she pondered over, but a decision that had been made nonetheless and one she would see through till the end. Or, at least until life threw another curve ball at either herself or her family.

For now though, she was simply having to deal with the fact that her and her husbands adorable children were safe and sound with their great grandparents. The fact that the children were safe and sound was something she would never question: considering all that Daremo's grandmother had taught her in just a few short months she knew that the woman was more than capable of keeping the children safe as was her husband. Still though, it didn't stop the longing of her heart for the day she could see her children again and be comfortably back in the village of Kumogakure again. Of course, despite this yearning she was still happy to be here – after having experienced losing her husband once before it had become increasingly harder for the pair to be apart from one another, and it had made staying back in the village with the children while he was in Sunagakure difficult – thus her reasoning for being here in the first place.

With a stretch and groan – Kaia~Mai still very much in bed considering she had spent most of the night working – she focused her attention onto her husband as he came back into their tent with what was quite clearly a mission scroll. In silence she watched as he opened it, the only indication that she was curious about the contents being the raising of a single slender eyebrow. She was out of bed and getting dressed just as he was, listening intently to the details as she slipped on a pair of white cotton leggings, a white form fitting tank top that hugged her rather large bust and athletic figure that came from years of training Taijutsu, and a light tan hooded tunic which would further serve to protect her from the harshness of the sun. Boots were added to protect her feet before her winter-white long and straight hair was thrown into a ponytail and her Kumogakure headband tied loosely around her neck. Her hidden blade was attached to her right arm, and her various other weapons hidden on her person: while this mission was supposed to be non-violent she took no chances, and refused to be caught slipping.

Diplomacy is not one of my strong points, unless you count punching a diplomat in the face repeatedly, then I'm good.

Kaia wasn't all about the violence, but in most occasions that just tended to be what worked when intimidation alone failed. Of course, this was a different situation entirely, and like most things she would adapt and change and do what was needed for the good of the 'team'. No, this would have be handled with words, not weapons or fists or threats. If nothing else it would be interesting to see how it played out that was for sure.

So, as her husband inquired as to if she were ready or not, she simply nodded her head yes to indicate she was while feeling rather glad she would get do to this particular mission with him: she had missed working closely with him – the one person who she trusted above all to have her back in any situation. She listened as he spoke about his plan of using a henge to disguise himself, and his suggestion that she do the same. As he brought about his reasoning as to why – more specifically his reaction to anyone flirting with her but him – a chuckle would escape her before she could stop it. ”Alright, I suppose I'll henge into a guy then to save you from having to deal with me being flirted with. Though, I don't know how I feel about the idea of a guy flirting with you anymore than I do a woman flirting with you, so that'll be interesting. I think I'll save the talking for you and all your henged feminine whiles.”, she would comment thoughtfully with a playful wink.

And just like that it's as if she had become someone else entirely.

Her playful demeanor had lasted up until she left the tent with her husband, as if her entire being had taken on a more serious persona. She walked beside her husband making idle conversation as they headed to the meet up point, but there was a more somber and serious tone to her entire appearance. As they finally met up with the rest of the group Kaia's bright blue gaze shifted over each individual as she listened to her husband speak, not only explaining their late and sudden arrival but also his name. Just like her husband she offered a polite and graceful bow. ”I am Kobayashi, Kaia~Mai. Just like my husband said, we apologize for being late.” Simple words before she would become silent, finding no use in repeating the question that Daremo had just asked. Instead, she folded her arms across her chest, shifting her stance so that the majority of her weight was leaning on her right leg as she waited to see what in fact the plan happened to be, and interested to find out.

Raiu Mizuki

Raphael would not be the only one being appointed to this mission. In fact, there were a surprising amount of shinobi who had been asked to join this A-rank. This mission, so light-heartedly being considered one without violence suddenly revealed its weight. This amount of shinobi was a sign even Administration didn't take it lightly despite the expected lack of violence. Good. Even if she was a diplomat, mingling on her own between a large amount of refugees would not have felt comfortable to Mizuki. She was glad there would be others assisting today to sway the crowd in favour of Kumogakure. One by one, the other members would join in.

Raphael was the first to arrive, greeting her and asking if she hadn't been waiting for too long. She smiled at him, shaking her head in answer and revealed she had arrived just seconds before him. His Kozai white cloak covered his arms and armour from prying eyes, adding a certain splendour to the blonde and blue of his hair and eyes - a proof even a shinobi ready for war could still look good when undertaking a mission.

Next would be a new face Mizuki was not familiar with. She presented herself as Zetsumei Makoto, vaguely ringing a bell in the back of her mind as she remembered having picked up a couple of shinobi files during her brief appointment as administration. Though she didn't remember the finer details of the file, the rank associated with the Makoto which popped up in her mind was almost instantly confirmed by her introduction as well. A genin, now send on an A-rank mission. A dangerous decision despite the mission's expectations.

"A pleasure to meet you, Makoto-san. Allow me to introduce special Jounin Raphael Kozai-san and myself Mizuki Raiu, equally a special Jounin. Though inexperienced you may be, I'm sure your presence will help make a difference today. Though the mission is to omit any forms of violence, it is still an A-rank. I would request thus you remain with any of the higher ranked shinobi at all times for your safety."

Life was precious. The future of the Village would be paved by those new shinobi entering service today. The idea of losing either life or hopes for a bright future was not something Mizuki felt like suffering. Her suggestion would be given with a gentle, lilting voice in hopes the genin would understand the severity of the mission and not requiring a stern approach as some other ambitious genin loved to bring with them.

Her worries would melt away like snow before the sun when a bark cleaved the air and a familiar four-legged friend would run up with almost-crazed joy. Repede. Probably about the only 'Kumo-nin' that could break through Mizuki's general formal behaviour to bring out the young woman she actually was deep down. She'd crouch to welcome the dog, showering him with affection and rubs as a greeting, the dog greedily enjoying the moment before his owner, Zetsume Zix, would appear as well. She would bow before him and honour him still with the title of 'sensei' despite those times had passed since quite a few years, her eyes sparkling in amusement when he asked about the mission.

"Exactly. We are to avoid violence, sensei. We have yet to discuss a plan but I think it wouldn't hurt having someone keep an eye out for possible exit routes and general surveillance. I have a feeling we could use your sharp eyes for something like that."

The suggestion was kept subtle so not to throw Zix's dislike for crowds and socialising in the open, but nothing was set in stone yet before everyone had gathered. If Administration was of a mind to send several shinobi of their rank, the input of every member would be of valuable worth and, depending on each individual's skill set, could cover a large amount of options to bring this mission to great success.

The next member would be revealed by an alert bark of Repede, heralding the arrival of not one but two more members of this mission's team - Daremo Kobayashi and Kaia Kobayashi, husband and wife. Married shinobi. An unusual approach to assistance, but the very relation between the two instantly offered an interesting way for them to mingle within the crowd. A young couple looking for a future, protected by the safety of a Village's walls. Empathy was a powerful means if expressed the right way.

With the arrival of the two last members it seemed no others would appear. The team was complete, the amount of relative to actually high ranked members making this quite an impressive force, indeed. It was now time to throw in the skill set and talents of each individual present so a solid strategy could be worked out.

"I believe that, with the exception of Makoto-san here in our middle, we are all special jounin or higher, so please help me watch over her as we execute our mission. As a genin, she should make the best of the learning opportunities that will present themselves. With the amount of people we have, a diverse approach could perhaps allow us to work the crowd and the leader of the Desert Lotus on several public fronts. I'm ashamed to admit, however, that too many of your talents elude me to come up with a proper suggestions for a strategy. I'd therefore ask of each of you to suggest a task or strategy with which you believe we can bring our mission to a success. We are to avoid violence of any form, of course."

Mizuki's blue-green eyes would glide over every member currently present as she spoke, intending to draw them all in the discussion of the strategy without exception. She was not used to lead squads or teams, but she believed that if everyone could at least suggest a position they would personally be comfortable with, unexpected ideas could be revealed and a proper strategy could be created. And with this many skilled shinobi, they were sure to come up with something, right?

Raphael was more than happy to allow Mizuki introduce him to the newly appointed genin, the less he had to talk was the best scenario in the boy's mind. He would simply lift his arm and give a small nonchalant wave to the girl after Mizuki introduced him, not raising from his leaned position against the barricade that surrounded the camp. The next few moments revealed something about Mizuki that the boy had never seen before, a small sign of a normal person pierced through the hard putter shell what was the professionalism that the boy knew the girl to be. Seeing the woman show such affection for the dog was surprising to the boy to say the least, however her greeting of the man that accompanied the dog shown more light onto their connection. The man revealed his name to be Zix as well as the name of his dog, before speaking about the mission. The man's words struck almost to the exact feeling that the boy himself had about this mission, he had dealt with his fair share of spies and infiltrators in the past and now it was as if they would just be opening their arms to welcome these types into the fold. When Mizuki spoke her words revealed the sign of respect one could only see between a sensei and student, as well as her skill as a diplomat as she suggested the need for the man's own set of skills. Normally he would be intrigued by this new information, possibly even asking questions however now was not the time. With the arrival of the last two who introduced themselves as well as revealing their relation, it seemed that the diplomatic team was now gathered. The young shinobi counted six including himself assigned for the mission, seven if he counted the dog but he did not see the dog offering much help on a matter of diplomacy.

Like the man had done before them, the new couple inquired about a plan for the mission and what all they could be do on this mission, as well as possible trouble they could run into with other villages and having to offer them more than the other villages. In the boy's mind he did not believe they should offer anything to try and sway the people, as far as he was concerned the people should be begging to submit to the rule of the cloud and fall in line under its protection for only then would they truly be safe. Only the force of the hidden cloud unDee the command of the great Raikage had the resources they needed as well as the power to protect them the way they not only needed but also deserved. It was clear at least to the boy that those who have not or would not accept the rule of the Raikage in this land, were idiots that could not see the light of the future that the Raikage had promised for this desolate wasteland and sea of glass. The young shinobi's thoughts were interrupted by the voice of Mizuki as she address everyone that had gathered, though the boy had yet to move from his position leaning against the barricade he listened closely to the woman's words.

Once she was done speaking about looking after the young genin, she spoke of the possibility of a diverse approach to the mission at hand before asking about each person's skill set and any suggestions as to how to maintain the peacefulness of the mission. The boy's scan of the gathered group revealed to him that he was the youngest in the group, even younger than that of the genin that was among them. The boy was never much of a speaker as he would much rather let his fist do the talking, it was something that saw to his rise in both his rank and the Raikage's favor. The fact was he did not have the first clue as to how to approach the situation at hand, but nevertheless he would offer up his expertise. Pushing off of the barricade for the first time since he had arrived, the boy repositioned himself so that everyone there could see him. "I am not going to lie, I am not great with words. My way of dealing with a situation is my fist more often than not." The boy would pause briefly as he thought of the words to say, "that said I once called this land home and I know how it's people think. I am more than willing to work the crowd, talking one on one with them or even addressing a majority of them. I would not say I am the best at it, but I will do whatever is needed to ensure that this mission goes off without a hitch. I have a way of keeping watch over an area that could come in useful in watching out for trouble, and making sure we do not run into surprises while we are out." With that said the boy leaned back against the wall as he listened to the others as they spoke, once a plan was decided and they were ready to move out the boy would be ready.

Zetsume Zix

Zetsume Zix

D-rank
Zetsume would frown at the thought of this mission being quite...boring. One by one more people showed up, a surprising amount.  It was his first time meeting some members from his village. Normally, he kept to himself and tried to not be nosy but seeing these people made him curious. As each one introduced themselves, Zetsume made small mental notes specifically of how they acted, their names, and small quirks. This is far too many people, perhaps I should have stayed home, he thought while sighing on the inside. Though there was one shocking thing, a married couple on a mission. That was something that Zetsume had always worried about internally. That if he was married and brought his spouse with him, it could lead his decisions into more emotional than rational thinking. Then again, perhaps it gives them the strength to overcome obstacles with one another side by side. It was not something that would ever happen to Zetsume though as he was against relationships as they seemed to be more of a burden than a reward. Mizuki made a valid point that it would probably be best for him to stay on the outside and scope out for possible threats. In best case scenario they did get attacked because then he could let loose. It had been awhile since he had to shoot someone. For most the part, this mission would just be a show of might probably to win them over. Seeing a formidable force like this would cause some to have a change of heart especially if they witness the might difference. People were often like that, very submissive towards those in power. As each person spoke, Zetsume found himself losing interest in the conversation. He should be one that would be happy to meet new people, especially from his village but felt odd in the large group. To him, it was just awkward to try and socialize like that. Once a loner, always a loner. There was little to talk about that would change the outcome, plus if they did not join their side Zetsume could have some fun today. The day had already been wasting away and Zetsume did not want to be around this many people for too long. Not to mention his strategy input would probably reflect poorly on him. If he had his way he would coerce  them by force, but it is not his choice. It was mentally exhausting to act like he cares what they are saying. His fake smiles were wearing him down.  Zetsume scratched his head and turned around walking away as he spoke, "Well, I am off to scout ahead. I am sure all of you do not need me here to come up with a good plan. Keep an eye on Repede for me would you Mizuki?" After he spoke, he moved to scout ahead hoping for some kind of resistance if there were any. Unfortunately for him, there was none to be found. The spot where the group was located was not terribly far from where everyone met up. When he arrived he just crouched down and watched them from afar. Just as the report said, they were found near a giant glass lotus. To his eyes there seemed to be more than fifty able people down there.

Repede was sitting next to Mizuki, wagging his tail from side to side with what appeared to be him smiling, but also looked a bit like panting. The dog was excited to see all these people. One by one, the dog would walk around the group sniffing the person a few times before trying to get a petting. Unlike Zetsume, Repede was a social butterfly that enjoyed company and being loved. For anyone that would be receptive, the dog would grow more affection towards the individual. It had always been this way for him since he was a puppy. That reason was about the only reason Repede actually cared for Zetsume. He was taken in by Zetsume at an early age. From there he was given comfort, food, and love. Even if Zetsume has become more cold hearted, that memory is burned into him that would be the root for his unbreakable loyalty. Repede however, would not impose himself on anyone. He knew that not everyone was friendly or even liked dogs. It was a harsh lesson to learn, but he knew it. If the person did not pet Repede when he came up to them, he would simply walk away after a moment of staring at them with sad eyes. After the dog made his rounds, he came and sat next to Mizuki even happier than before. The dog would wait until everyone was ready before heading out and he would stick close to Mizuki above any another in the group.

Daremo

S-rank
Daremo snorted at his wife’s comment about guys flirting with a henged him. It would not be the first nor the last time someone of the same sex flirted with him, “At least you don’t have to worry about them doing anything more than just shameless advancement.”, He spoke. Kaia-mai would know exactly what he was hinting at. There being a good time frame where he was a geisha of the old; a prostitute who cratered to some of the most influential men and women within his homeland. Having become inactive in the profession, it was still something of his past, and something he is active in on a business level instead of an intimate one now. His wife knew all about that particular part of his past, therefore, she would know what he meant with his earlier comment.

Walking out the tent with Kaia-mai, his thoughts drifted back to the initial idea of henging into a woman and preying on the constitution of the men there. A sound idea, men being easier to manipulate than women when faced with a beautiful woman. He wondered would it work on this particular group of people? Surely, these men have dealt with women using their feminine wiles trying to use their body and natural charm to get what they desired. Would it even work on these individuals who Kumogakure no Sato’s administration wanted them on their side? Initially, he thought it would, but, could he be unminding the intelligence of the people? Surely, they have dealt with similar advances as he proposed to his wife, right? If that is indeed the case, then his initial thought idea might not work. “Change of plans, love. I doubt the angle I suggested would work.” He admitted, “They might expect the tactic. So, we should just flow with things, and make sure they turn favorable for us. Just try not to kill anyone.” The words being spoken in jest.

Before he could announce himself and his wife’s presence, a dog would it for them, barking upon seeing them. He did not pay the animal any mind, assuming it had to belong to one of the people on the mission with them. Though, curiously, he wonders if the dog was apart of the Inuzuka’s lineage or one that can be commonly found in the local pet store? Furthermore, was one of the members an Inuzuka, or did hey just use a canine companion when doing mission? Dismissing those thoughts, for now, he did not wait for his question to be answered.

Reptilian eyes locked onto Mizuki, listening to what she had to say on the matter.  Approval and acknowledgment shined in his eyes upon hearing her mention to watch after the genin who was tagging along on the mission. With they being the only one that is not Special Jounin and higher, it would be important to make sure nothing happens to them. He agreed with the settlement, even if he questioned by the Administration had a genin to tag along. Mizuki admitted not knowing the skills of the individuals gather, and ask for suggests on how to handle the meeting.

Eyes flickered towards the first person to speak. They admitting to not being the best with words but was willing to do what is needed to make the mission a success. Despite their shortcomings, the individual did not seem to let it stop them. Also, while they mentioned not being the best with words, the strategy give was a good one. Unfortunately, the next person to speak would leave a sour taste in Daremo’s mouth at their blatant disregard for Mizuki’s question. Instead of answering, they left to scout the area, leaving their dog, repede, there. Outwardly, Daremo was a mask of indifference, but inwardly, he was glad a competent shinobi was leading them, instead of someone who acts like that. Pushing the thoughts to the side, having more important things to think about than someone’s disrespect, Daremo looked at Mizuki.

“While those of the upper echelons of the political scene can best me, I am fairly confident with my words. I find them more dangerous than any jutsu for obvious reasons.” He stated, “ My suggestion is similar to his. Working the crowd is a nice way to find out more information regarding the group. We just got to be subtle about it. ”, He looked at the male who spoke about working the crowd, “Furthermore, we need to find out what they desire most. There should be a motive behind their actions. An end goal for the group. If we can find this out, it can possibly give us some leverage in dealing with them. I would also suggest, if possible, that you, Mizuki, should be the one to talk to the leader. Special jounin you might be, but, you are more known in the Elemental Nations for your work. Therefore, the leader would most likely listen to you more so than anyone else.” Having said what was needed, Daremo looked at his wife, wondering if she was going to add anything, before turning his attention back to the leader of the group, and await their decision.
