'What a beautiful night sky' thought the boy looking out through the skylight of the Ravenry, it had been quiet for most of the night with the exception of the cawwing of the ravens of course. The young shinobi sat at the desk looking out into the night sky wondering what he had done to merit such a boring station this week, the shinobi were often rotated so to speak to different jobs around the village each week they are assigned a different job unless they find one they are suited for when they are not on Shinobi business. This week the job of the ravenry fell to poor Raphael, despite the fact that it was boring it paid the same as any other job so the boy really should not complain. After all he had blown through the last of his inheritance that he had brought with him, and a job equalled money which he desperately needs at the moment. He had no groceries or basic necessities that he needed, he often thought that as a shinobi he should be afforded certain luxuries however he soon learned that they come at a price. The price of course was service, to the Kage, to the village, or to the client, the source of the income never bothered the boy until tonight. It was such a beautiful night and for the boy to be stuck inside cleaning up raven poop and bathing the wretched birds was a crime in of itself, the only positive thing the boy had was tonight was his last night at the ravenry, tomorrow started a new day and the best part a new job.

It was around four in the morning when the boy's quiet night would get a lot more exciting, a raven arrived at the ravenry which one would not think was an uncommon occurance however in this case it was. The entire week the boy had been working not a single raven came in with a message, he had sent some out as he had been ordered to by the village elders but that was it. Raphael took the parchment from the birds foot and watched as it took one of the open cages to rest, the boy open the roll of parchment paper to read the message. "Darian get in here quick!" The boy called to his supervisor, the man that ran the ravenry. A disgruntled scoff and the movement of a chair could be heard from the other room followed by the slow heavy footsteps of the man that the boy had called for. "Who do you think you are ordering me around in my..." The man said as he walked into the room but his words dropped of when he saw the note that the boy was holding. The man quickly snatched the parchment from the boy, his eyes darting back and forth across the paper. "You better get a move on it, I will find someone else to go with you," the man said to the boy as he rushed out the door. Raphael jumped to his feet and was out the door seconds after the man headed straight for the gates of the village, he would wait at the gates for whoever it was that would go with him as long as he could but he would need to get to the other village as soon as possible.

He needed a little bit more. Just a little more money, and he would be able to leave this place, and move on to somewhere else. Just the idea of traveling to a place where the heat was not oppressive was lifting his spirits a tad bit. But right now, there was the still the obstacle of not having quiet enough money to make his dreams become a reality. Perhaps a quick trip to the mission board would fix this up, solve his money problems and he could go about his merry way after telling Kumogakure no Sato to kiss his fine toned ass.

As the male would come to the mission board, he took note of the small crowd gathering around the office window. There were concerned yelling and crying, and the mission clerk seemed distraught. From this distance, he could hear snippets of the conversations.

"Yes, Jadestone! Its the third time this week alone!" "Tis a shame. No one's been dispatched to deal with this yet." "I hope Old Man Sutaka is okay. He's been living in Jadestone for three years."

What was going on? Pushing his way to the front of the crowd, Kairyu would take a look upon the mission postings himself. Up near the top, there was an emergency announcement; it would seem that mission that was upon the board previously as D rank had been elevated to C rank. It was a mission requiring someone to go to Jadestone Village and keep watch for a few days against some bandits; Kairyu had seen this mission here previously when he was looking for something to take; he'd ended up going to the library instead at the time. At the time, he had no weapons, and needed money in order to purchase some. With the recent purchase of his weapons that were being tailored to his specific customisations, he was simply left with the Kunai and Shuriken. Perhaps..

As the male continued to stare at and read the posting, he could not help but smile. From it the looks of it, Jadestone had been attacked several more times in the few days since the initial request for help had gone up. Each attack ended with several villagers being killed, and the village's provisions being stolen from them. The villagers were defenseless -- thier guards and lookouts were killed in the first wave of the attack. The posting stated that a group was needed to go out to Jadestone and stand guard until a proper sized security and or patrol force could be sent in to maintain order. If these guys were killing people in Jadestone, then there was really no reprecussions to them being killed. Kairyu could feel that itch coming on, that drive to kill that he seemed to possess. His bloodthirsty side was trying to emerge, and it would seem that his closest outlet that would not get him in trouble with the law would be for him to take it out on these bandits. It was an itch that needed to be scratched -- and he was about to satisfy it in a fashion that would seem orgasmic; striding forward, he would snatch the posting from the board. Several onlooked stared at him in mild shock -- were was his group? His squad? The whispers did not deter him; let them talk. The fact that none of them would even attempt to take the mission themselves rendered thier squabbling as nothing to him. Kairyu would take the posting over to the mission counter and present it alongside his identification papers,

"Kairyu Masato. I'll be taking this mission, and departing within the hour."

The clerk would give the male a strange look, almost questioning his sanity. He would peer around, noting that no one was standing nearby as if waiting. Finally, after a minute he would look down at Kairyu, an eyebrow raising. "Please make your way to the village gates; this mission calls for a group of at least two, and someone else has already signed up for it."

"I have no need for a squad. I will be doing this solo dolo; other people get in the way."

The clerk blinked. What the frick is solo dolo? Was that some sort of slang? His head would tip to the left, a loud sniff filling the air. "The mission requires a grou-"

"LISTEN!" Kairyu slammed his hands on the counter, causing the clerk to jump, along with several other people in line around him. He would lean closer, his voice dropping to barely a whisper. Despite the volume of his voice, the threat was very clear; each word was hissed through bared teeth as Kairyu spoke. "I do not give a flying frick duck how many people the posting says should be sent. I'm taking the mission, and you're going to **** sign off on it. We clear, son!?" The clerk would nod rapidly, fumbling around as he attempted to find his stamp so that he could sign off on the posting. Once the paperwork was stamped and signed, Kairyu would offer the clerk a smile as he folded and tucked the paperwork away into a pocket before leaving the room. "Good boy." He would pay no attention the murmurs going on around him; a lion did not concern themselves with the opinion of the sheep. If all they were gonna do was stand around and just gawk, then frick em. He had other things to do that day, and bigger fish to fry. As he walked out of building, he could hear the clerk call out to him.

"The way to Jadestone is through the Village Gates!"

....****. He might as well pick up the persona if they were already there, and it was on the way. Running a hand through his blonde hair, Kairyu would make his way towards the village gates. He was almost curious; how would his partner recieve Kairyu? Would he make assumptions based on how the male was dressed? Kairyu was not much to look at: a young boy of average height with strange, dual-toned, messy hair, being bleach blonde at the front and darker blonde at the back end. His eyes are blue and have cat slit pupils. He is commonly seen wearing his academy uniform in a rather sloppy manner. His apparel consists of an blue, unzipped blazer with gold rims on the lapels, collar and pockets. He has a small belt with a golden buckle each wrapped around the sleeves of the blazer and the right arm is embellished with the emblem of his school. He wears two more nomral sized belts around his waist, the top one is done up but not buckled while the bottom one hangs loosely. Underneath that, he wears a white, long sleeved polo shirt with the topmost button undone, revealing a black shirt underneath. Kairyu loosely wears a black tie with two black and red stripes on the back of it. His legwear consists of black pants with two zippers going up to below the knee and black, leather shoes with a gold stripe going across the front. It was the male's normla attire, but still. People often judged a book by its cover.

As Kairyu came upon the gate of the village, he could not tell whom he was supposed to be working with. Was the persona even here yet?

The journey down from the ravenry did not take him long, he had been working at the ravenry an so unfortunately he did not have his normal gear with the exception of his Kaminari Windmill Shuriken which he never left home without it. Ever since he had given it's twin to Tenjin he has kept it with him, feeling as though having it he was still connected to his friend despite the distance that now he had returned to Iwagakure. He could of stopped by his apartment to grab his other gear but he did not want to waste anymore time than was absolutely necessary, so he would make do with what he had. With his giant shuriken folder and tucked safely away in it's strap on his back, concealed by the large white jacket he wore that covered down to his knees he made his way down the mountain side upon the rooftops of the village. The jacket was open flowing in the wind as he moved revealing his black collared shirt which was buttoned all the way up with sapphire stones and the symbol of the Kozai clan stitched in sapphire blue thread on the right brest of the shirt, though with the jacket on one could not tell that the shirt was actually sleeveless the only thing that would be considered informal about his appearance. His pants were white like his jacket, with a black belt which held his Kumogakure Hitai-Ate on the center of the belt. Most would say he stood out which was uncommon for a shinobi be he did not care about what others thought his attire was the typical attire of his clan and he wore it proudly. Beside he did not care for sneaking around his own skills which he had been honing since he was seven was all the boy really cared for, he was more of a confrontational person which usually resulted and either himself or the unfortunate person on the other side of his fist ending up on the ground. That was the way he liked it, that was the way he had trained himself no matter the opposition he would face it head on and deal with the rest later. Maybe that was why his blood was pumping, it had been a while since he had been able to let loose and this mission proved to be the chance to do just that. The unfortunate village of jadestone had been attacked more than once and all their protection has been killed, lowly bandits that he could handle himself without breaking a sweat but he thought it would be good to learn more about the shinobi of the hidden cloud. He had been here for a few weeks now and with the exception of Ryo and Mizuki he had not had the opportunity to meet or work with any of the others of the village, this mission would be his priority of course however consider they do not know how long it would take to get another descent guard to defend the village nor when the attack would happen again it could take a few days.

Raphael arrived at the gates and awaited the arrival of whoever it was that would be accompanying him on this mission, it was not that long before an older male showed up his attire like Raphael's own was not something most would expect from a shinobi. Raphael of course was not like most and actually hoped this was the one he had been waiting on, once the male looked his way Raphael would signal him over before introducing himself. "Name's Raphael, are you the one they sent to accompany me to jadestone?" He would say extending his hand out to shake the males, after allowing the male to answer he would continue. "Alright lets get on our way shall we." Knowing they needed to get there as soon as possible Raphael did not want to waste time with idle chit chat, it would be more productive to talk along they way that way at least they were getting closer to their destination.

Someone was signalling him, attempting to get his attention. Was this his mission partner? As the persona moved closer, Kairyu took a moment to look them over, quietly and quickly judging thier worth. He did not look like much, and given his state of dress, it was clear to see that he was attempting to not look like the traditional shinobi.

But that was what Kairyu hated the most, but that did not matter at the moment. He needed to work with this persona. Innocent people were at stake, even if Kairyu did not like shinobi, he was forced to work with them to accomplish his goal in the long term.

There is a time and a place for everything, Kairyu. This is neither.

As the persona spoke to him, Kairyu would pay attention, hoping to commit the name to memory as a persona to keep an eye on.

"Name's Raphael, are you the one they sent to accompany me to jadestone?" A simple name, very non traditional.  Nevertheless, Kairyu would memorize it,  and reply in kind. The offered handshake was ignored; there was no need for him to sully his hand by touching this savage.

"Kairyu Masato IV."

"Alright lets get on our way shall we."

There was no real need for small talk -- in fact, the less that this Raphael persona spoke to Kairyu, the better they would get along.

Several Hours Later

The trek to jadestone was not hard, simply long. It would take them most of the day to walk there, and by the time they arrived, Kairyu would be royally pissed the **** off. There was sand and dirt in his shoes, hair and eyes, and he was pretty sure the trip took an extra several hours longer than it should have due to them losing their bearings and sense of direction several times trekking through the mountains. By the time Kairyu and Raphael would arrive in the village of Jadestone, it would be mid afternoon. With the sun already dropping towards the horizon, Kairyu would head into the village, stepping through the broken mess that was once the village gates.

Inside, the village resembled a warzone; many of the buildings contained smashed in windows, blown out walls and had smoke rising from them. Somewhere off in the distance, a dog was barking, and a child was crying for their mother. As Kairyu walked down the main street, he would adjust the black tie around his neck, pulling it up so that it was a bit looser around his neck. The air was a thick with dust and smoke from the fires; there was also a strange stench in the air, and the smell of blood, something he knew too well. He did not slow down, he did not falter; even as he moved, he was fully aware that he was being watched. He could see them from the corners of his eyes; fleeting shadows of the remaining villagers as they peered at him from the burnt out shells of their former homes and alley ways. Some wore worried expressions upon their faces -- was these young men here to do them harm? Were they with the bandits that harmed the town? For the moment, Kairyu would let them wonder; he'd get to their concerns soon enough.

Kairyu would make his way into what seemed to be the remains of the town square;  this placed seemed like something out of hell; there were sizable craters in the ground, charred bodies and red stains everywhere. There was even one poor unfortunate soul hanging from the top a building, lynched. So, this was the disaster of Jadestone? Man, this shit was hard to look at. No wonder these people were in such dire straits. If this gang of bandits were leaving the people in such a manner, then they needed to be killed. These people seemed so distrusting; even now, they were creeping from the shadows, eyeing the stranger that entered their town. Some were holding weapons, as if they intended to attack Kairyu and Raphael should they prove to be a threat. As he watched them carefully approach, Kairyu would calmly hold up his hands to that that he meant the people of the village no harm.

Raphael could tell from the moment the male did not shake his hand that this Kairyu would not be pleasant to work with, a fact that was only proven along the journey. Raphael was going to lead the way, as he had been to jadestone before however it seemed Kairyu had other plans and did not listen to the boy's advice ending in their journey taking much longer than it was suppose to due to Kairyu's lead. It honestly amused the boy to the point that he almost forgot he was deployed on a mission, the male seemed to be anger about the very environment itself however it did not bother Raphael in the least, he had grown up in the desert of Kaze no Kuni and a little dust did not bother him as it clearly had the male that accompanied him. The trip in silence gave the boy more than enough time to size the male up and have a general basis on what kind of person this Kairyu Masato was, in truth the boy hated everything about the male from the way he acted to his sense of direction and teamwork. The male gave off one of those vibes that those from privilege portray as if he was better then and therefore above Raphael and everyone else, in truth the male was the exact opposite of himself. Raphael had come from privilege being born the son of the current clan leader and next in line to lead the Kozai Clan however he never wanted that and he never thought himself as being above someone else, he may have thought himself better than others in feats of skill but he never once thought of himself as more important than others as all was important in the eyes of Raava. The young boy had lead his life following the teachings of Raava, however this Kairyu was causing the boy to second guess some of those teachings.

By the time the pair made it to jadestone the sun was already beginning to set, which was unfortunate considering how early it was when they had left. Raphael's heart sunk at the sight of the village, the destruction that the bandits had caused was beyond words for the boy. The gates laid in ruins along with half of the wall that was meant to protect it, the sound of crying could be heard in the distance and the smell of blood filled the air. Raphael's mind flashed back to the night Sunagakure had been destroyed, though this village's fate seemed better even if only slightly than that of the sand village it still broke the boy's heart to see such sadness and death. Despite the fact that there was not a soul on any of the village streets Raphael felt the different eyes on the pair the second they stepped over the wreckage that was the village gate, Raphael saw Kairyu adjust his tie as he continued down the street towards the center of the village. Raphael would stop walking when he saw the man hanging in the village square despite Kairyu continuing on to the center,  it was not right the man did not deserve such a fate. Raphael concentrated his chakra as he pulled the windmill shuriken from its sheath on his back and opening it with a quick flick of his wrist releasing it towards the rope that was holding the poor man in the air, with a quick burst of wind the boy came underneath the hanging man as the rope was cut by his shuriken. Catching the corpse as it fell so that it was uninjured and putting it up on his shoulder before turning around and seeing the remaining villagers creeping out from the shadows towards them.

Kairyu slowly raised his hands as if to show they meant no harm, however it was Raphael who was the first to speak. Catching his shuriken in his free hand and folding it with a flick and stowing it once again, he spoke in a loud clear voice so that all of the village could hear him. "Villagers of Jadestone, I am Raphael Kozai Chuunin of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. We were dispatched after your letter of distress reached our village, I..." "What they only sent to of you?!" Came an interrupting yell from one of the villagers, "I assure you the village hidden in the clouds is currently getting supplies as well as more shinobi that will be here within the next couple of days, we came in urgency to help you in this time of need until they arrive." "What if those bandits come back? They will kill us all!" Came another cry from the survivors, "If they come back I swear to Raava they will not leave here alive and no harm will come to any of you." Raphael could feel the growing of more questions and concerns about what a young boy and another that was slightly older would do against the bandits that caused this mayhem and squashed them before they could be brought to voice holding his free hand up for silence. "I understand that you all have a lot of questions and you are all scared and my heart goes out to all of you but now is not the time, it is time for us to honor the dead and pay them proper tribute unto the afterlife. We will see all those that have died in this village's defence to a proper burial, after that we will do our best to tend to any of the wounded and see what shelters are left." With that said he carried the corpse that was on his shoulder towards the graveyard where it could have an honorable burial.

As Raphael took it upon himself to address the crowd, Kairyu would move through them and into the damaged village itself to look around. Kairyu would have attempted himself, but he knew his specialties were not in soothing words. He was a fighter now, his diplomacy was done with the sword and chakra. He would leave the sweet talking to the masters of genjutsu and the polititions.

As the male moved through the ruins, Kairyu's anger would raise and peak; this place was an utter disaster. There were bodies strewn all about streets, hanging out windows and splashes of blood everywhere. Peering into one of the abandoned houses, he could see that the furniture was overturned, opened and gutted with thier contents thrown across the floor. A nearby wall seemed to house a safe; the box itelf was practically pulled from the wall, its door nowhere to be found. Whomever these ninja were, they were thourough in thier searching. Moving on, Kairyu would find himself back at the place where they entered the village of Jadestone, staring at a child crying whilst laying a flower next to the building that once held the lynched man. Kaiyru would draw closer, intending to usher the child towards the square where the rest of the villagers were gathered, but something would halt him in his tracks, something the child whispered as she curled up into a ball next to the flower that she had placed upon the ground.

"Someone cut him down... they're gonna come back...the mean men in the masks are gonna get me too, just like daddy..."

That... was an odd thing to say. What did that child mea--

Realization hit Kairyu, and he almost kicked himself and silently began curing Raphael's name. The body that was hanging from the building was a signal, a flag of sorts. So long as it hung there, it was safe for the bandit group behind these raids to assume that no one had arrived from Kumogakure no Sato to assist the village. However, the moment the body was cut down, it could be assumed that the village had recieved some sort of aid and was rebuilding. And with the body cut down...

They would assume there were more supplies to pillage.

Shit.

Scooping up the child, Kairyu would carry her back to the square with the rest of the villagers. After entrusting her to one of them, Kairyu would be make his way over to Raphael, whom hopefully finished his task by then, and explain his findings. Kairyu assumed that with the body gone, it would take some time for the signal to reach the bandit's base, and that  it was likely several hours from the village. They would need to prepare for thier raid, and that itself would take some time, in addition to making thier way to Jadestone. In Kairyu's mind, they had the very least until dawn to prepare for an assault.

~The Next Morning~

The next morning, and Kairyu was up early before the sun rose in the sky, already out and patrolling the perimeter of the village of Jadestone.  Last night, the appointed spokesman of the village, the late mayor's assistant, filled Kairyu in on the situation;  a group of bandits who called themselves the Masks. It seemed that the bandits were ex-ninja who took to raiding the minor villages to sustain themselves. Because Jadestone was one of the 'larger' minor villages, they were hit repeatedly. There were five members of the group. Each one wore a black mask over thier face save for the leader. Thier leader distinguished himself from the rest by the red, ornate mask he wore. Armed with this knowledge, Kairyu aimed to set off early in the morning, learning the layout of the village. When the rest of the villagers awoke, they awoke to the sight of Kairyu standing atop the remains of the temple, staring out into the desert at what seemed to be an approaching cloud of dust. Judging by the speed at which it appeared to be moving, it would not be long until the cloud reached the village. Even at this distance, Kairyu could tell that this cloud was not a natural phenom. He had to act quickly; either this dust cloud contained the reinforcement forces promised by Kumogakure no Sato, or it was another raid.

Kairyu prayed for the former, but could not help but think it was the latter.

Turning his attention to the villagers whom gathered when the alarm rang through the village, he spoke quickly, as time was of the essense. "Hide. We will handle this. Do not come out until Raphael and I come back."

As the villagers scrambled to find places to hide, Kairyu leapt from the top of the temple to a nearby rooftop before sprinting to the village outskirts. As he moved, the male began to channel chakra throughout in preparation for something to come, should the people this dust could contain proved to harbor ill intentions. Should Raphael follow, Kairyu would motion for him to hide and sneak around the group; there was no use in revealing that there were two of them, and an attack from two fronts would throw them into confusion. Kairyu would come to a stop outside the village gates, waiting patiently as he adjusted his his collar to cover the bottom half of his face. Soon enough, a group of five men descended upon the gates, each wearing a mask upon it, with one of them wearing a red one.

As they spotted Kairyu outside the gates, they came to a stop roughly ten meters away, watching him carefully; who was this man? Why was he here? Was he some sort of protection the village hired? Finally, the man wearing the red mask stepped forward, pointing at Kairyu. "Who the frick are are you?!"

Kairyu smiled behind his scarf. "Me? I'm nobody. Who are are you?"

"I'm Setsuko Kashiro, leader of the Masks!" Ooh, this one was a boastful one? Kairyu continued to smile behind the collar, feeling that familiar itch beginning to surface -- that desire for vengeance. That itch, that desire to murder. For the moment, he pushed it down, repressed it. He would give in to it soon enough, and it would feel all that much better.

The one thing he could not hide -- did not even bother to try -- was the boner he was getting from this.

"Thats nice, Setsuko Kashiro." The response was nonchalant, as if the male was wholly unimpressed by the name. In truth, he was not. He did not care for this man's name, but it was valuable information nonetheless. Perhaps there was a bounty on his head that Kairyu and Raphael could collect on for more money? He would have to lug the body back to Kumogakure no Sato if there was, or perhaps there was a bounty station nearby? He would figure it out later; right now, there was still the matter of dealing with these people. "So, I'm going to have to kill you now, okay? Just so there's no confusion as to what is about to happen, okay?"

The leader laughed. It was obvious that he did not think that Kairyu could back up his words. "You? You defeat me, the great Setsuko Kashiro, the leader of the legendary Masks?! Impossible!"
His henchmen laughed as well, but Kairyu ignored them. "There's only one of you, and five of us! You can't do shit to us! I suggest you run your ass back home to Mama and hide, little boy, before I put you over my knee like your Papa should have done."

Kairyu paused for a moment, considering this man's choice of words. It took only a split second, but in that split second, he decided that this man's very poor choice of words had flipped a switch within his psyche. For this, Setsuko Kashiro's reward would be a slow, painful death. With a small sigh, Kairyu pulled out his Kunai, charged it with Raiton chakra, and began to lay waste to Setsuko Kashiro's men. In a flash, Kairyu crossed the expanse and swung the kunai twice, slashing out the throats of the two closest Masks. The scent of burning blood would fill the air as the crimson liquid crumbled off the blade, as Kairyu turned his attention to the three remaining bandits. Despite the masks covering most of their face, Kairyu could tell a horrified expression when he saw it. Beneath that golden glow he wore, the grin grew; the murderer was released, and he would not go away until the job was finished.

"Get him!" A cry from Setsuko's mouth as he pushed the two remaining men forward and turned away in an attempt to run away. Unfortunately for him, Kairyu was not having any of that. No, this man was beyond saving. There was no salvation, help was not coming. There would be no forgiveness, and running only made you look like prey. No, these men had come to this village with the intention to rape, pillage, burn and murder, only to find the tables turned upon them. Kairyu wondered for a moment before he drove the kunai into the eye socket of the next mask member if they expected something like this to happen? Did they think that their actions would not garner the attention of a monster? There was always someone bigger and badder out there that was higher up on the food chain that you were, and everyone's days were numbered. For these men, they devoured the villagers, and in turn, they were being devoured by Kairyu. Survival, at its most base.

It was almost poetic justice.

The burial of the dead took longer than Raphael thought it would, there were so many dead it literally felt like there was no end to the graveyard now. After what seemed like hours the last of the dead was finally laid down to rest, "peace surround you and guide you unto the afterlife." The boy said with his head bowed after he finished covering the last grave. Raphael turned to go back towards the town square to evaluate the rest of the village, Kairyu was waiting for him and explained his believe on what transpired. If the male was right then they would have a fight on their hands in the morning, and it was time for them to prepare. Raphael would get most of the remaining villagers to agree to stay close to the village square, as the mayor office was one of the most intact buildings left in the village. Those that refused to stay in the mayor office as they did not want to crowd into the building, or wished to assist the two in the village's defence were given weapons and were told to help with the guard of the rest of the village.

The night was short considering most of it was spent digging the graves for the dead, Raphael chose not to sleep instead choosing to meditate and pray to Raava for guidance inside the remains of the village temple. The next morning when the alarm raised the boy knew what was to come, exiting the temple he saw Kairyu instructing the villagers to hide and wait for the all clear from the pair. Raphael did not think it was necessary for the villagers to hide as he did not see the bandits getting past them, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

Raphael snuck up on the left side of the group of Masked men as Kairyu kept them distracted, the boy was obviously confident in his own abilities as he did not even wait for a signal from Raphael that he was in position before he began. As soon as the leader saw Kairyu dispatch the first two of his thugs, the man sent in the others and began his retreat. Kairyu had taken out two already and was working on his third, there was no way Raphael was going to let the boy have all the fun. Jumping out from his position in the bushes Raphael ran out to the first man, chakra filling his hand before unleashing a single punch sending the man flying into what remained of a wall of a building before moving towards their leader. The man had already tried to put some distance between himself and Kairyu, he did not even realize that there was another. Raphael pulled out his windmill shuriken unleashing it out towards the man that was running away like a coward, the shuriken soared through the air finding its mark on the back of the man's legs slicing through a good two inches of flesh before returning to its master's hand. Raphael smirked as the man fell to the ground a cry of agony escaping his lips, as Raphael came upon the man he begged for his life. "You beg me for your life in the way that the villagers begged you for theirs. I will show you the same treatment you showed them." With that said Raphael took his windmill shuriken and slide the blade of the shuriken across the neck of the man slicing it open before turning and walking away.

A few hours after the bandits had been dealt with the support group from Kumo arrived relieving both Raphael and Kairyu from their post and allowing them to return home. Raphael chose to stay and help wherever he could returning home to Kumogakure the next day.

Kairyu Masato

D-rank
It would seem that Raphael would not be outdone; he seemed a bit too eager to contain himself as he cut through the fourth member and the leader,  the so called great Setsuko Kashiro. The chuunin would make short work of the bandit leader, removing him from the mortal coil via a shuriken of  some sort.

It would seem that their job was completed. Several hours later, a true relief effort would arrive from Kumogakure no Sato. Once they were relieved, Kairyu would make his way home, not caring that Raphael would volunteer to stay. While the chunin might feel some sort of way with Kairyu leaving and not staying to help, Kairyu had his reasons; his coin would do more for the people of Jadestone than his time there. Once home, he would see too it that extra supplies were purchased for the people of the village, and sent out with the next available merchant passing that way. Kairyu was not one for physical labors, but he was plenty fine with allowing his money work for him. Afterall, his status as the heir to the Masato clan fortune was worth something.
