As the little boy Miku kicked the random rapper in the face with his soft little foot as the guy laughed a bit and said.

"Chill little homie, for shizzle my nizzle" as the guy just went over to a mushroom field as he glared at the man for a moment before sighing as he left this guy, who was bothering him like a really snoopy dog as he made his way into a small area in the forest.

The little kitten boy sat on the edge of the river bank staring at the fish as they swam passed. A part of him felt like jumping in and catching them, while another part of him admired how good they were at swimming in the river. His little ears twitched and his tail swayed from side to side, as he waited for the water to go passed the narrows and into the wide shallows. He was in a better mood then usual and tomorrow he was going to visit his mom with some of the white flowers he got the other day, he figured she might like that.

Having been training rigorously in the same spot for a long time has made it a new interesting training spot for the genin. Michi got a little annoyed by that fact and so decided to go and look for another place in the forests around the village. He had found several spots along the way that seemed promising and waited at them to see how many people would come by. Unfortunately for all of those locations too many people would come by for his liking. They would end up as too much of a distraction so the places were no good.

Eventually along his path he would come by a river, the water in the river was flowing slowly, undisturbed. It was crystal clear and one was able to see the fishes clearly as if they weren't in the water. Across the river Michi saw a rather interesting person, or was it a cat? He wasn't quite able to tell what to call it. He had a body like a human, but a tail and ears like a cat. He had never seen such a weird 'creature' so was a little unsure what to call it.

"Hello there? Are you a cat or a human?" Michi asked in his usual way of not caring about his phrasing. Whilst waiting for an answer he would walk through the river to make conversation easier. But scaring the fish away in the process.

Miku got startled a bit as he looked up to the side someone was asking him if he was a cat or a human as he began to think about it his mind was now getting confused as he gave a rather slow unconvincing answer. "I am hu...man"

As he watched the fish swim away his eyes looked like they might tear up and cry as he looked towards the strange man as he then looked down a bit shy and timid for the moment as he wondered why the guy was just coming closer as he tucked his tail in as it hid over his tummy as he was crouched down low. He wondered why he said it in a way that made it sound like he was asking himself a question.

He would wait for the man to get real close, but as soon as he reached within two meters he would take on a slightly defensive cat like stance on all fours while letting his tail stand up. He would notice this almost immediately and say, "Sorry" as he would try to calm down and would sit like a cat instinctively. Making his original answer even more contradictary

Michi wasn't sure how to feel about the 'being' that was in front of him. The way he was behaving seemed rather weak to him as if he had no spine and was just a simple pile of goo. The words that he spoke carried no weight, no determination. It was as if he was afraid of someone simply talking to him. This only became more and more apparent the closer Michi would come. With every step the defensive stance it took up became more and more defensive. Up to the point where Michi got within about 2 meters distance from the person. The person got up on all fours with a raised tail, as if he truly was a cat ready for a fight or perhaps ready to defend himself. Regardless his physical actions did not tell the same message as his words. He said he was human, but all he did was behave like a cat. Furthermore he started apologizing to him. It made Michi wonder why he was apologizing.

"Are you really sure you're human? The way you're behaving is more like that of a cat. You stand up like one and right now you're sitting like one. Also speak up, don't be afraid to let yourself be heard." Michi stated with a voice that could be perceived a little bit aggressive. He crossed his arms in anticipation of how the person would respond to him. Would he listen to him and speak up? Or would he only turn more timid with the way Michi was behaving towards him.

When he was asked if he was still sure he was human, he had a slight hesitation before nodding his head as he struggled to stand on his two feet again as he swayed slightly from side to side, like a child getting up for the first time as his tail allowed him to keep his balance.

He was a bit fearful as he had some rather intense glistening and emotion intent in his eyes as he tried to swallow his fear and speak. He opened his mouth wide as no words came out before he recovered it as a deep breathe and then spoke. "I only got these a while ago" as he was not sure how long it had been since he got these as he touched his cat ear and also swayed his tail from side to side indicating the new limbs in question.

"My name is Miku" as he looked to the side before continuing with a question to this guy,"am I really a little monster?" as he was taking note of what one of the kids had remarked on his new appearance. While it was just meant to be teasing, it hit him straight in the heart as a super effective blow to his pride and his self confidence at the time. He was teased for many reasons, to add another was just making the coals of the fire overflow and spill out. His heart was like a furnace smoking and burning with intense heat as if the fire could break out of control at any moment as he was hoping for something from this stranger. He had other issues as well and was temporarily running from them for now, here in this small forest.

Michi was uncertain how to feel about the way the reply was given. On one side it was good that the person didn't fully shut himself off because of Michi's attitude, but the reply was still lackluster. It still lacked confidence. It was time to push his limits and break them. Time to help him break from his restraints that were holding him back. The only thing that can hold you back is the limitations you place on yourself.

While not given a direct reply to his question, if you read between the lines one could tell that the person didn't know themselves either. But his answer still seemed weird to him and so Michi inquired more on the matter. "What do you mean only got them recently? Make full sentences. Do you mean your ears and tail? If so, did they just randomly sprout?"

"Also to answer your question Miku, no I don't think you're a monster. Why would I think that? Just because you're different from a 'normal' human?" Michi wondered what had prompted Miku to ask that particular question. Did he dislike who he was? Maybe he's getting bullied by other little kids. That wouldn't surprise him actually, timid people like Miku often end up the victim because they're easy targets. Miku should learn to stand up for himself. "Oh... I'm Michi from the Hosokawa clan." Michi stated full of pride.

The young little Miku felt like he was being spoken down to as he asked him if he had gotten them recently, telling him to use full sentences as he felt like he was being scolded rather then lectured or advised. He was not sure what he did to deserve this as a part of him wanted to cry, a part of him wanted to run away as he looked down to the river side as the man questioned him a bit. He asked about the ears and the tail, whether they just sprouted out like a flower.

He then told the young boy that he did not think of him as a little monster and asked him why he thought that way as he himself asked the same question. He was deep in thought as the man introduced himself as the Michi of the Hosokawa clan as he looked at the proud man he finally spoke up as he was looking down towards the ground deep in thought.

"The other kids called me a monster, and I had this weird dream" as he thought back to his dream. He had seen Airi all alone by herself standing before the river as flames began to surround her with tears in her eyes as he started remembering even more from the dream, the tears in her eyes more profound as he could hear those words echo in his heart, the words asking him why as he did not know if he could tell the man or not. If the man asked he might say, but right now he was still a bit startled from all the bullying and the other emotions he had from leaving his home.

The posture of the young one didn’t seem to improve after Michi’s strong words and attitude. Instead it went the complete opposite way of the way he wanted it to go. Miku only seemed to be getting more and more scared. Almost as if Michi was the predator and he was the pray. With the pray being caught in the corner, with its back against the wall unable to go anywhere. Trying to push himself further and further into the corner in a futile attempt to get away from the predator. Perhaps it was better if he didn’t come across so ‘hostile’ he would be able to get better answers out of Miku. But even if he wanted that, Michi wasn’t good at being considerate. Being as sharp as a blade’s edge was more of his thing.

“Come on Miku… There isn’t a real reason for you to be scared of me. I mean you no harm, I’m just not good at being considerate of other peoples feelings. Don’t take it personally.” Michi hoped that saying that would make Miku feel  a little bit more at ease. But then again, he had very little hopes for it actually helping seeing how Miku had been reacting up to this point. It also got a little harder for Michi not to get frustrated with Miku. He had just told him to talk in full sentence and the first thing he replies with again is a half vague sentence. “Well… you shouldn’t care about what the other kids thing of you. You should only care about the opinion of people that you care about. Those are the opinions that should only matter. Also what kind of dream are we talking about? And how does that dream relate to this matter at all?” Michi asked with a somewhat puzzled look on his face.

Miku listened to Michi say that there was no real reason to be scared of him, even though he gave off this sharp aura that could strike fear in the hearts of normal every day children. Even as a shinobi the young Miku was still no more then a child, but in this world where sands of time burn to glass and break with the shifting of the worlds and shatter to pieces like fragments scatter in the heart of the storm. Miku's future was no longer a clear path, but a foggy road to shinobi.

Consideration and personal problems made Miku feel a bit worse, but he began to understand Michi just a little bit more as he began to wonder. The words seemed to be meant for calming him down, but he felt like it was really badly worded as deep down he felt a bit worried about Michi. In this world where misunderstandings resulted in villages going to war and people being abandoned for the personal mistakes of others, Miku had to be strong and not buckle under the slightest hint of pressure as he was no little boy anymore.

After hearing about him saying it does not matter, only the friends you care about matter as he began to look at Michi in a new light as he nodded and then said. "You right, why should i care what they think" as he felt a bit better blushing slightly as he was embarrassed after saying something like that. "If it is okay, could we walk for a bit?" as he took a liking to Michi now as he looked up to him in a similar way to Shippo, only less family and more like bro's in a sense of being a comrade in arms.

Michi studied the youngling as he processed the words that he spoke to him.  He was unsure if he would take the words the way he meant them to be understood. Or if he would miss interpreted them and get even more scared. Michi wasn’t good with being gentle, so talking to someone that could jump on the closest in seconds was not really his strong point. He was trained to be strong and endurable, not kind and caring. So although Michi could learn from the experience he could possibly gain from talking to Miku, he saw little value in it. The world wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It was often dark and cruel, unforgiving and relentless. It was better if Miku would start to cope with the way the world was, then him trying to learn and talk in a kinder way.

A little bit to Michi’s relief, it seemed that Miku had understood his words the way he meant them. At least that’s what Miku’s answer would seem to imply. However his reaction after giving a decent answer would reveal that he was at least still not comfortable. Was he afraid of the answer he had given? Or was he embarrassed that he had said such a thing as the timid person he is? It mattered little, progress was progress in Michi’s eyes. The question that was thrown back in his direction slightly threw him off. It was something that he had no expected from Miku, but with little better to do he decided he might as well. Maybe he could find a good training spot when the two were walking around. “Sure, I’ll walk with you for a bit. Where do you want to go? Also why do you want to walk with me?”

The little Miku felt a bit happy deep down inside, as his feelings on the surface just seemed to hide. He was asked about where he would want to go, but to be honest he really did not know. He began to wonder, trying to avoid a blunder as he tried to find the words as he brainstormed thunder. He did not know what to say, but he felt it would be all right anyway. His lips they moved to open so slow, but for some reason the words had nowhere to go.

Before he had a chance to answer, he was given another question in the form of a why. He took a deep breathe as he looked down, he really liked the forest so far out of town. He then looked up to the Michi, as his little kitty ears got itchy.

"I just wanted to walk with someone, is that a bit weird?"

As he tilted his head as his hair bangs fell to the side, his ears were twitching as his tail would then hide. Behind him with both his hands, as you could see some wetness in each of his hair strands. In this world that he never knew before, he just felt that he wanted so much more. He never understood, the meaning behind his moody mood. He got so lost, at a terrible cost. He was no longer alone, he was no longer on his own.

He walked so carefully, so skillfully as he joyfully hid his feelings deep inside, the feelings he can not help but hide. His mind knew, but did his body know too. Every time he felt it would just go, like a river he went with the flow. His ears twitching, his heart beating, his tail sways to the sound of beats repeating.

How did he feel in the end, how did he feel to make a friend. Did he even understand, as he really wanted to reach out his hand. He knew the way he felt before, he knew that he just wanted more. In the end of all this time, he felt thirsty for some lemon and lime.

"is it?" as he let out these two words after a short pause, as his breathing indicated that he was going to follow up, though it was a rather redundant question as if asking double assurance on whether it was weird to want to walk with someone, while not having any idea where they were going.
