Rank: EVENT
Objective: Throw a hoop around the Shidaidaka's neck. Easy, right ?
Location: Namahage Festival.

Mission Description: The ancient game of hoop throwing is an almost universal custom. Normally one simply has to throw a hoop over a stick in order to win a prize. However a type of Yokai known as Shidaidaka is peddling a variation of this game in which one has to throw a hoop overt it’s neck. However it is not as simple as it seems due to the fact that the Shidaidaka tends to grows taller and taller the longer one looks at it.
Mission Details: The secret to beating the Shidaidaka is to continuously stare at the ground as they grow shorter if one stares intently at their feet. Looking at any other part of their body will however cause them to keep increasing in size.

Sero had managed to deal with the gang of cat neanderthals and yet it left him feeling unfulfilled. The unbroken branch in his hand still vibrated with chakra and the force of the blows he had used with the reinforced wood. He had used that method to avoid killing and yet he had expected an enemy of that number, well he had hoped at least one of them capable of breaking such a simple plucked item from a nearby tree. It appeared this place had its common thieves with no sense of order with the strong at the head. If they had he may have actually enjoyed himself. Instead a church full of injured cats laying in ruin was all he was offered. It was a pain but he didn't mind as much about doing the work as it being so simple. Still there was other things to do for now. He released the chakra on the branch and let it disintegrate in his hand. Hmm. He had reinforced it from breaking for too long with too weak an item it appeared. His chakra didn't agree with it and once released it had torn itself apart from the separation of power. It was a dark talent he had. In his experience his former students were much the same way. None of them still remaining. None of them strong enough to withstand him.

With a soft blow from his lips he blew the sawdust off his pale hand and turned moving back to the mission board. Walking passed those that would recognize him without a word. He was busy as of late but he preferred it that way. He wasn't here for his own amusement but to earn something as he had done last time. His arms crossed in front of him hidden within the sleeves of his robes as he glanced around himself. A cry of frustration to his right drew his attention to another game tent. His grey eyes took it in a moment. The tent was rather tall. He sighed and supposed he could always use more tickets. Utilize them eventually. Perhaps gain something else of importance to him. He would turn and step appearing like a shadow next to the tent as one group of men left looking disheartened. He glanced at them and they quickly avoided eye contact. A challenge too much for the common man? How interesting.

As Sero entered the tent there was a goblin with one eye holding a hoop and grinning from ear to ear holding his tickets like they were his own treasure of some sort. they did not glitter like gold but man coveted them so he held them. A typical goblin to wish to obtain all that man held value to. His one eye met Sero's though and he froze a moment. Tucking the tickets away quickly as if unsure this man that walked into his tent was truly human or another Yokai come for his treasure. Sero would reside there though in his space before glancing to the only thing in the tent. A statue of some sort. However he noted as soon as he looked at it the thing began to grow. He didn't even have time to doubt his eyes as he watched it a moment before its head rose to the top of the tent. How fascinating. It's shadow looming over Sero as it stopped growing once there was no more room to grow. The goblin seemed to grin which drew Sero's attention to him again as he gestured with the hoop and tapped it over his head before pointing to the size changing statue. Sero was just a man after all.

So that was the game Sero realized. The men had failed because they could not toss a ring onto the neck of the statue as it grew. Sero glanced back at it and noticed it had shrunk and even as he did it began to grow again. He followed its shadow instead with his gaze. Taking it in and his own. Watching it shrink until it was normal size. Sero calmly approached the goblin and took the hoop into his pale hands. Judging the weight of it with a couple of tosses straight up into the air. The goblin watching Sero as he seemed to pay no mind to the statue. Sero was calculating though. Taking in the distance of the statue from the light source and his own distance. Judging angle and size as well as distance all from the shadows. The hoop was an exotic idea for a weapon but he was familiar with all weapons. With an exhale he lightly tossed the hoop up and let it fall. Letting it fly through the air until it rang as it spun around the statues neck much to the goblins shock. Sero hadn't even glanced at it again.
