As part of Naruto Saga’s Halloween celebration, we’ve decided to merge the writing aspect of the forum with the seasonal theme and run our first annual Halloween writing contest! In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the theme of this writing contest will be horror. How a writer chooses to approach the genre is entirely up to them. Spooky ghosts, sci-fi, slasher, psychological; it’s all fair game. The overall winner, along with any number of runner-ups will be determined by a panel of judges. The panel’s favorite stories will be shared and featured as community content and the winners will be rewarded for their work.

The rules of the contest are simple. All participants must submit their entries to the Mail Box account by no later than October 30 at 11:59 p.m. EST. All entries are required to remain under a hard word count cap of 2,000 words. These are short stories, after all. If we’re going to turn around and have the results in a timely fashion, we can’t accept light novels as submissions. Good luck!
