Dear Kaia,
Come around my office about seven o’clock this evening: I have a gift for you before you begin on your journey.

”How like Amaya to know what’s going on even before everyone else does...”, Kaia muttered to herself as she made her way out of her and Daremo’s bedroom. She was dressed in her typical attire: that is a black v-neck tank top used for training, black sweat pants which bunched in right at the end of her knees, and typical open toed black colored shinobi sandals. She was in the middle of pulling her long hair back into a ponytail as she made her way down the hall way and into the living room where she found the love of her life reading a book. Once her hands were free she leaned on for a quick kiss only to be grabbed lightly and held there for a long one – only to be released moments later. Giggling she shook her head. ”This shouldn’t take long… promise. Amaya isn’t the type to beat around the bush after all… though I cannot fathom what kind of gift she would have for me.”

Kaia then headed out of the house, heading directly towards Amaya’s office. It wasn’t a far walk, faster still since she took up to the roof tops and jumped and skipped upon them to avoid the civilians below who would only further to slow her down. She had plans after all, and she wanted to get to them. She was really hoping this wouldn’t take long: in fact she was surprised Amaya hadn’t said what the gift was in the letter itself, but then again that Uchiha was a bit of a strange one.

Reaching the administrative buildings Kaia made her way upstairs and toward Amaya’s office, pausing long enough only to knock before heading inside: she was expected after all. ”What’s up, Amaya?”, she asked curiously before even looking toward Amaya’s desk, fully expecting to see the female sitting on the other side.

Paperwork. Always the damn paperwork. Honestly, she couldn’t count anymore the amount of times she had set her desk on fire because it all just irritated and infuriated her so much. But, this stuff was a tad bit more important than the usual… so yeah. She couldn’t just go raging Uchiha on it all and turn everything to ash. Besides, those in the offices around her tended to get a bit annoyed and peeved when she set off the smoke alarms by doing so. But, it was whatever.

Just as the thought finished crossing her mind of having Kenta come in and just drench everything beyond recognition – a better choice than lighting it all on fire right – she suddenly heard a knock and found her door being opened before she gave permission for such an action: something that only a few people would dare, such as the one who had entered in just now. Despite how much the young woman who entered her office had grown under the guiding hand of lover Amaya still recognized Kaia as the once innocent little girl who blushed at the slightest hint of teasing or perversion. Now though she dressed like a lady who didn’t seem to care what the world thought of it – Amaya admired her for it.

“Just a quick gift that I feel will help you more than they helped me… I’m set to retire so I figured I’d pass these beauties along to you. You’ll probably be able to put them to better use than myself after all.” It was at that point Amaya would slide two sets of weights across the table: a set for both wrists and a set for both ankles. The weights made the desk groan in protest but Amaya was hardly worried about the sturdy thing breaking, just like she was hardly worried that Kaia wouldn’t be able to handle them after the sheer amount of training she had been doing. “No need to thank me, just put them to good use and keep yourself safe while you travel… I don’t want to hear about anything bad happening to you or your boyfriend.”

”…….” The items that Amaya passed across her desk caused the thing to groan and Kaia’s eyes to open wide in shock: the fact that they were what they were meant that Amaya was giving her something that would no longer vastly benefit the Uchiha. The sheer price of them? More than Kaia would be able to afford. Weights: expensive ones: given so freely? The only thing Amaya wanted was her and Daremo safe on their journey – she knew they were leaving and she just wanted them to be completely and entirely safe.

Gingerly Kaia reached over, grasping the weights and putting on both of the ankle ones first, and then both of the wrists. She could feel her movement speed lessening: it took more strength to move around, however she also knew without it needing to be said that once she adjusted to them they would make her incredibly fast once they were dropped, if for only a short period of time. ”Thank you, Amaya. We’ll keep ourselves safe. I promise. Besides, we’ll be back to visit… that’s why we did this how we did instead of just taking off. Last thing she wanted was to end up leaving on bad terms.”

She would wait to see if the other female had anything else to say to her before she would turn and head out of her office so she could get back to work: weights on.
