Aiden would have packed up some things needed to make a small fire. This was a night off for him, something he's been needing since he came back. He just needed a night to relax, to actually do something more than sleep or laze around, waiting for something to happen to him. He didn't feel like waiting around to see if his recent mistakes would have repercussions, he just needed to get out of the house and just.. go, and do something, anything really. He learned of this place located into eh outskirts of the village, a cactus that is used as a meeting place for people, with a large purple flower and an even larger size. This had intrigued him as someone that enjoyed seeing new enough places and getting used to new experiences, a large cactus was intriguing enough as is, but one used as a meeting place?

He mainly left around early evening, figuring that if he's going to this meeting place, he may as well start a fire. He didn't care if other people that were there didn't approve, he's going to do it a decent enough distance away as to not set the cactus itself on fire, but close enough to enjoy himself and the sight of it nonetheless. It gets cold at night, even in the desert, and honestly, being someone that currently wore a white short sleeved short and a pair of shorts, he wanted more parts of his body to be warm than just his furred tail. So, leaving the home of Zaiaku with some tools to start a fire, he would make his way to the meeting cactus. Despite having the ability to do so, he would openly try to avoid any gang members so he wouldn't get into a fight. He certainly wasn't in the mood tonight for one, so why even put oneself in the situation where one could happen?

When he finally reached the Meeting Cactus, Otter would lay down the sticks and stones in a manner in which the fire can occur within the ring of stones in a more deserted and darkened area. Laying some paper down underneath the sticks, he would have a small match that he stole from Zaiaku's room, lighting it and creating a small fire, one of which was encouraged by the careful exhaling on the small flame, encouraging its growth. When it would reach a decent enough size, he would grab some meat he had taken from home, which if he remembers correctly it was lizard, and with a stick from the original bunch he brought with him, he would skewer it, cooking it over the fire as he looked around, looking for anyone that's of interest to him.

Night had finally begun to creep over the dusky skies of Sunagakure. The breeze was chilling compared to the blazing temperatures of the day. Haruka had been sitting on the roof of his house, observing the community below going about their daily lives. He was tired from all the training he had done. The fact his father wouldn't be coming home tonight allowed him to have a later curfew. He didn't want to stay home if he didn't have to be there. Being rebellious wasn't a common allowance for him so he took it as it came. Haruka slid off the edge of the roof and landed properly on the ground below. The impact rattled his bones a bit and whisked up a bit of dust. He coughed, swatting away the musty cloud before starting to walk down the road. Weary eyes wandered around, observing his surroundings. He took a different route today as he meant to discover new places he hadn't been before. Haruka took the exploration slow as to always have somewhere new to go.

It was getting darker as he began to wander on the outskirts of the village. After a bit of walking, he noticed a peculiar sight. Something he had heard of before. A place that people use as a meeting spot. The cactus was large and beautiful. It looked well tended to by the community which was a surprise. There wasn't anyone there as far as he could see. As he walked towards it, he reached his hand out to touch it, pricking himself on it. "Ow..." The action was instantly regretted as he looked down at his cut hand. There were small abrasions. Nothing a few minutes wouldn't heal. The soft ground surrounding the area was inviting for a nap. Haruka decided to move a little ways away from the cactus in case there were visitors. He then began to dig himself a little ditch, covering his body in the warm sands until he seemingly vanished.

Only a few hours had passed. He could feel it as he woke. The sand got colder but it wasn't freezing. Through the faint layer of sand, he could hear the mingling of others in the background. However, there was something hot nearby and it was making him uncomfortable. Like some sort of zombie, he slowly emerged from the ground with ease. The sand and bits of dry soil fell off of him. After rubbing his eyes of the debris, he looked around. There was a well crafted fire only a half meter away from him with a strange man beside it. He had animalistic features which inclined Haruka to simply stare at him. For a few moments, he gazed in silence. He blinked and gave the man a friendly smile. "Hello," he said, waving briefly before freeing his legs from their sandy blanket.

Aiden would look into the fire, his blue eyes dancing with the flickering flames, a duet of sorts playing from the rhythm of the two within his mind. He would seemingly zone out, the fire drawing his focus in, prodding his brain and attracting his memory like some sort of fiery seductress, the smell of the burning wood and the smoke only further encouraging him to recall recent events. He could almost see Iwagakure again, the mountainous area where he had faced Misami while Nanashi fought Chu-Bu, of how he used his flames to seemingly incinerate her, leaving him with only half of a blade to remember her by. 'Can you say Misami, little Otter?' would ring out many times through his mind, the echos building on top of one another, the picture of the cage being painted around him, a painting more vivid and real as his mind ran wild. His head would soon develop a soft, dull pain, one the grew and grew on top of the rising chorus of repetition.

"Back into your cage, creature!"

He would yelp as the outside world returned to him, with he himself no longer looking at the fire, but instead into the darkness around. It would be there that suddenly, almost as if his mind was still messing with him, he would see a person suddenly rise out of the fucking ground like some sort of zombie. "What the heck?!" The Chuunin would exclaim as he would be taken off guard by this, throughly surprised by the sudden appearance of another person here. This individual seemingly was rubbing their eyes before staring at him for a few moments, offering a friendly smile and a greeting as they continued to free themselves from their tomb of sand. "H-hi." He would respond as his chest would be thumping from this jumpscare. He would work to calm himself down, physically shaking his head in order to get the bad thoughts to leave him, his dull pain only remaining for a few moments longer before ceasing as well. Leaving just him, this stranger, and the fire.

"You want to join me at the fire?" He would offer as he was beginning to calm down and regain his composure. Whether they joined him at the fire or not was completely optional, though he would look back at the fire, seeing that his meal fell in, ruined. Darn, but ah well, he'll just have to give the stranger more attention than before. "So what's your name? What're you doing under the ground exactly, wouldn't that be uncomfortable?" He'd ask as he looked at the burning meat, deciding it wasn't worth the effort to get it out, and would instead plant his eyes onto the newcomer, waiting for an answer.
