The special jonin, now that he had talked to the Hokage and successfully had done all that he needed and wanted to do in Iwagakure, he was ready to depart on his next adventure. However, there was a slight problem. He was getting tired again. As a result of his ambitious and driven nature, Kashizudoto swore that, after leaving Iwagakure, he would be twice as great as he was before he entered. It was a daring, sort of ridiculous pledge, but Kashizudoto really took it to heart, going on extremely trying adventures where he fought humans, creatures, and geographic structures alike and performing the six riskiest missions that he'd ever had in his career without end. The fact that Kenta and his team were extremely late only served to extend the amount and intensity of his crazy, tiring activities rather than to allow him a break. As a result, he missed more than twenty four hours of sleep and was basically sleepwalking his way through his last two missions, luckily he was alive at the end and those missions were a success.

When the guy was just about to catch some Zs, a messenger hawk had come by and informed him of his promotion to Tokujo. Of course, it was great and all, but at the time, he was too damn tired to care about the promotion. Luckily, he figured out a method to artificially catch up on his sleep; he would enter a sort of lucid sleeping state where he was directing chakra to his brain, along with two genin who he had bribed with the promise of taking them on an A-rank mission (now that he was of this rank, he could do that kind of stuff), which accelerated his process of sleep through unnatural means. While this made him feel a burst of energy as if he had regained those twenty four hours of sleep, he knew that this technique was no substitute for real sleep and understood that he should only use it sparingly in situations such as the one he was in. He, in high spirits, did indeed take these genin on a short term A-rank mission before having a rendez-vous with the Hokage and his group. After that, he took two more A-rank missions. Now? He was back to square one, tired as hell. His eyes were once again half-shut, and he was basically almost in a state of sleepwalking again. It was probably a good idea to see a professional about this; he could've really screwed up with his sleep cycle with all these crazy tricks, especially at the young age of thirteen.

He would walk into the lobby in his normal attire as he let out a small yawn. He wore a black swordsman's robe embroidered on the edges with gold, a gift from Master Piandao after his apprenticeship under him. On the left hip was a bamboo sheath holding the Tentetsutou or the Sword of Heaven, a blade which Kashizudoto forged out of a four billion year old meteorite during his apprenticeship under Piandao. Next to it was a coil of wire measuring about fifty meters. It was extremely useful during his adventures in Iwa: he used it during a mission to apprehend a runaway captive, when he needed to cross the chasm without allowing his life to be held in the hands of Fukai, and the time that he was lost in the tunnels with Oki and needed a contraption to backtrack his steps. It could also be used to propel oneself towards a target, rappel up surfaces without the Supernatural Walking Practice, and extend the Dragon Fire Jutsu. Underneath the coil of wire, on his upper left thigh, was a holster containing some basic projectiles: one kunai and three shuriken, nothing special.

There are many hospitals and clinics within Iwagakure no Sato, and even more in the countryside. Government-owned or privately, each facility offers the standard services expected from a health facility such as them. But, that's where any similarities end, personal and ownership differs from one another, with some being more suited to take care of children and the elderly, having a friendlier and empathic atmosphere compared to others. A few being owned by retired shinobis, those wanting to diligently serve their home even after earning their rest. And civilians, many who didn't cut it out as a shinobi, but excelled at others art, specifically anything in the medical field. Technology advance in the field also differs accordingly, with all facilities being above-average compared to others in the Elemental Nations. Surprising considering Iwa's history of having mediocre facilities and out-dated medical technology.

Yes, there's a lot of health facilities within the hidden village, yet the primary hospital, located at the lowest point of the village where the oxygen is most plentiful, stands above them all. But, only through the actions of Sakino Marise, the former head medic who placed her heart and soul into making it better than ever, was the hospital able to ascend to its current glory as being the leading facility when it comes to medical technology. It continued being the example for others in Tsuchi no Kuni, and outside of the country when Marise announced her apprentice, a shinobi, as the new head medic. The individual, being as smart as their master and holding a passion for the medical art, though some would argue it being on the crueler side of the spectrum, continued her work, and even succeeding in areas she failed. Making the establishment being the go-to-place for shinobis, they feeling more at ease with a comrade treating them(not to say they didn't trust Marise for they did), and civilians, who all knew the former owner and respected her decision of naming her apprentice as the new head medic, in most cases. It isn't an uncommon sight to find the hospital lobby full of people waiting to see one of the doctors on duty, and today isn't any different.

With making a sound, two Anbu appeared on either side of the black-haired individual trying to walk into the hospital. While one of them stood cautiously beside the child, the other spoke, their voices giving nothing away about their true gender or age, "I'm sorry shinobi-san. Only authorized personnel are allowed to carry weapons into the hospital. This is to ensure the safety of the patients, after all, this is a place of healing. " Having given them enough time to understand their current situation, the Anbu continued on speaking, "All weapons, as stated on the sign on the door, must be sealed within a scroll and handed over to the receptionist upon entry. Once finished with your business, the scroll containing your weapons will be returned to you. If you don't have a scroll, and/or, basic fuuinjutsu knowledge, the Anbu on your left will provide that. If you can not comply with these rules then we will have to ask you to leave. Forcefully, if we have too." Though the hint of a threat being non-existence, it wouldn't bold well if the child didn't comply with the rules established, and decided to get aggressive. Assuming they did comply, they will be allowed into the hospital, where the receptionist will take down their information before telling them to wait to be called.

"I'm sorry shinobi-san. Only authorized personnel are allowed to carry weapons into the hospital. This is to ensure the safety of the patients, after all, this is a place of healing," an ANBU agent would say as he (or she or... it) and another one of those faceless, expressionless "special ops" would jump down on him. These hospitals were guarded by ANBU? It made sense that they would want to keep this place safe from violence.

"All weapons, as stated on the sign on the door, must be sealed within a scroll and handed over to the receptionist upon entry," the human who was barely human continued, "Once finished with your business, the scroll containing your weapons will be returned to you. If you don't have a scroll, and/or basic fuuinjutsu knowledge, the Anbu on your left will provide that. If you can not comply with these rules then we will have to ask you to leave. Forcefully, if we have too." He seemed a little uneasy; his weapon had never been separated from him at any time ever since he forged it. To expect him to seal it away and hand it over to some impersonal nutjob so that he could seal it away was a little worrisome. Still, he did have to check out with the doctor about his sleeping issues (that "powernapping" technique was really only a temporary fix) and that nasty bite that he received from a drooling coyote while he was on that short mission a few hours ago. Hopefully it wasn't going to be too big of a deal, but he still had to check before hitting the road.

"Ya, ya, just hand me a scroll please," the tokugo would say after a loud yawn which would probably even the stolid ANBU agents, one of which would hand him a scroll. He would take off his bamboo sheath containing the Tentetsutou, his coil of wire, and his holster of basic projectiles, placing them all on top of the scroll. Forming a few hand seals that he learned from the Academy (which he really only recently graduated from, come to think of it), all of them would be sealed in a puff of smoke. He would then walk up and hand the scroll to the receptionist.

"Thank you for complying with the rules," the receptionist would say, "What are you in for?" The boy wouldn't really enjoy complying with the established rules, but this one made a lot of sense, so he would follow it without too much hesitation.

"Well, some problems associated with major sleep deprivation," the tokujo would say, "And a coyote bit me right here." He would point at his cheek. The blood had clotted, and he washed off the blood in a pond earlier; however, he was worried that he could've gotten some kind of infection from it. Those coyotes were drooling as if they were rabid; who knew what stuff they could've been carrying? He just needed to check with a doctor to get the OK before departing the village. The receptionist would direct him to wait for a bit, so he would sit down in a chair in the lobby, waiting for his turn impatiently like any other kid who was made to wait for something.

Despite noticing how uncomfortable the child seems to elude at the idea of having to seal his weapons into a scroll and handling it over to a stranger who, in all tense and purposes, could damage the scroll, causing irreversible damage to the content insides, neither Anbu commented or gave it much thought. An isolated incident, this was not, they having dealt with many foreign shinobi who had a similar reaction, in some cases more violent ones, as the boy when told the hospital rules. They didn't blame him for his reaction. It's a common one among some shinobis who specialize in weaponry. One feels weak, vulnerable, naked when their weapons are taking from them. Therefore, seeing him act like this, even if he was trying to mask it, didn't phase them at all.

With the boy in compliance, both Anbu 'thanked' him before melding back into the background, watching the boy as he entered the lobby, as their presence cease to exist. Both would continue doing their job of guarding the hospital, making sure everything went accordingly, keeping an eye out for anyone wishing to do harm to the patients and men and women inside. An assignment this job was, but they did it more out of respect than duty, for they made an oath to protect to protect her dream, and apprentice: even if the later was a former shadow of the village.

The lobby was noisy with chatter from the assortment of people who came here to see a doctor for one alignment or another, and the personnel amongst them. Nurses, male and female, swiftly moved about, calling patients to the reception desk, asking for more information or questioning their reasons for being here. Others were busy leading patients up and down the pristine hallways, taking them to or leading out of examination rooms that closed and opened periodically. The faint scent of cleaning supplies hung loosely in the air. A far cry from days where the smell was pungent and overpowering at times.

The receptionist, a kind, older lady, listened with apt attention to the young man before her. Weather but experienced eyes critically looking over the wound briefly, writing down anything of note, as she asked him some basic information about himself: that being his name, date of birth, and if he was a foreigner of not. She spoke with a sense of genuine care that only grandmothers could exhibit so naturally. Once everything was jotted down, she made her way around the desk, no soon after becoming occupied with another personnel, and disappeared down the halls with papers in hand. With her destination being the cherry oak door with plaque that read:

Head of Hospital
Guanyin Nanashi

And knocked on it three times. . .

Sitting behind an oak finished desk, papers neatly stacked along the corners, was none of than Guanyin Nanashi. Citrine eyes looking over the information being scribed on a form before it. Those reptilian-esque orbs making sure everything was correct and in order, and understandable that even the most simpleton of doctors could perform the procedure with satisfactory results. He really didn't want any of his doctors blamed for a wrongful death of a patient, those are messy, especially considering the patient being a shinobi. Anyone who has experienced it knows how brutal a shinobi tribunal is, and that's something he didn't wish on any of those trained under him.

"Come in," He spoke, after hearing someone knocking at his door, eyes briefly leaving the parchment to see who had interrupted him. After seeing who it was, a small smile graced his otherwise stoic face, leaning forward a little, pen being placed down, fingers interlocked and elbows on the desk, he waited to see what the woman wanted.

"Nanashi-kun," the elderly lady spoke sweetly, moving a front of the desk while doing so, "In the waiting room, there is a child shinobi out there needing medical attention. I normally wouldn't bother in asking you to check out such a minor wound, but seeing how everyone else is busy, can you?"

Looking at what he was working on then back at the elderly lady, he nodded, "Yeah, I will. Take him to room #113. I should be there waiting.". The lady nodded in confirmation, leaving to do what was asked, but not before stopping at the door and speaking, a hint of saddest detectable in her tone "It's a shame some countries still allow child soldiers. You would think they have learned their lessons by now. . ."

"Yes, well, often times tradition is hard thing to break.", he spoke, putting on his white doctor's jacket, and leaving moments after her.

As the receptionist went to retrieve the boy, it having only been a few minutes since he checked in, Nanashi made his way to the examination room. Opening the door, and seeing it unoccupied, he took note of the average size room. There wasn't much to the beige room, an examination table for the patient, medical supplies, and a small desk adjacent of the door. It would be there where Nanashi would sit, waiting for the patient to show.

Being without his weapons still seemed so odd, so inappropriate. He couldn't help but continue to worry about his assortment of tools. They were as much of a part of him as his ninjutsu. Ugh... He would wait in the lobby impatiently, twiddling with his thumbs a bit, considering the possible things that could've happened to his scroll of weapons while he was gone. Uh.. Errrr... What if the receptionist accidentally dropped it in water? Would the parchment paper get to wet to unseal the weapons from? What if they stole his weapons in a big thievery network so that they could sell them on the black market? What if. Ughhh, this was a horrible idea!

After minutes that went by like hours in his paranoid, sleepy state, the old lady at the counter came back, walking towards Kashizudoto as if to retrieve him. She had a bit of a sad look on her face, maybe she felt pity to see a child wounded on a mission or something, but that quickly vanished as she put on a smile again and gestured him to follow her.

He would follow the lady through the pristine hallway of the hospital; the place had to be extraordinarily clean if it wanted to keep its patients safe from getting even sicker while in the hospital. They would continue walking for a bit until they would reach the door of a room reading Room #113 on it in bold, silver letters. The receptionist would open the door, revealing a beige room which had an examination table for the patient to lie on, medical supplies, and a small desk where a man sat. Yes, that must've been the doctor. He would take a second to scan the person with his eyes before walking in, a little sluggish due to all the sleep deprivation he'd been having, the bite from the coyote carved through his left cheek showing pretty obviously to the doctor.

"Hey," the tokujo would say to the man sitting behind the small desk, "Are you the doctor who's gonna examine me?" He would then let out another yawn into his arm (he tried to at least keep it discreet; he had this one teacher in the Academy who used to yell at students if they didn't cover their mouths while yawning). Damn, he was tired. He hoped there was some quick prescription for sleep deprivation that could get him back up and moving; he was just a restless kid, after all.

While waiting for the patient to arrive, Nanashi's thoughts drifted towards what he knew about them, and the injuries they have sustained. From the report, the kid, a Sarutobi named Kashizudoto is twelve years old, and a foreign shinobi. Having known, not personally, another Sarutobi, and knowing their significance to Hi no Kuni, it's a foregone conclusion he is a soldier for Konohagakure no Sato. Of course, there is the off chance that he left the village and became a missing-nin or ronin, depending on their Kage's leniency, a seemingly growing trend nowadays. His status mattered little to the silver haired man, this won't be the first time nor last that his medical talents will be used on someone not native to Tsuchi no Kuni: at least it will be legal this time.

Furthermore, the reasons for Kashizudoto's visit is due to a bite wound on his left cheek. The culprit being unknown at the given time, but will be determined, hopefully, by the incoming patient. If they didn't have any inkling on the perpetrator then it's up to Nanashi to figure it out and decide the correct course of action. From what was gathered, the wound was relatively large, crossing out any thoughts of it being caused by insects and reptiles and small animals native to the country. Of course, this didn't exempt certain reptiles animals, particularly large pythons found throughout the countryside, and other carnivorous animals that call the barren wilderness home. Worth noting, from the elder’s lady perspective, the wound didn’t look too serious, requiring nothing out of the ordinary to handle it: quick and simple. That is if everything was how the lady described it. If not, then he would handle it accordingly, but Nanashi trusted the woman’s skills and judgment on the matter: if he didn’t she wouldn’t have become one of his trusted personnel members.

Reptilian eyes looked towards the door, their owners having picked up the distinct steps of the particular personnel and the boy she went to retrieve. The same citrine orbs, once showing a sign of indifference, now had a well-mastered facade of warmth and calmness illuminating from them. Same could be said regarding his face, the stoney and stoicism once present having been replaced by a friendlier and welcoming disposition.

”Remember Nanashi, patients respond better and become more open when dealing with a friendly doctor who seems to geneunine care for their well-being. With you being a former geisha, you should know how having such a disposition works in one’s favor. Use that to your advantage.”, Marise stated, explaining to a younger Nanshi the importance of appearing approachable and likable when dealing with patients.

He remembers Marise’s words to this very day, one of many instances where his sensei used his past to teach him what it means to be a medic. The lady always had a certain way with words, and how she delivers advice.

“Hello,”, Nanashi spoke, moving around to greet the boy with a handshake, if accepted, the gesture would be quick and firm, with his hand returning back to his side, brushing against the black dress pants he wore, and if not, the hand would remain by his side, “Yes, that would be me. I'm Guanyin Nanashi. And, you are Sarutobi Kashizudoto, correct?". He continued speaking once confirmation was given, "Please take a seat on the table there.", he asked, speaking again when the boy complied "From my understanding, you are here because of a bite to the cheek? Can you tell me when did it occur and what caused it?". having moved close to examine the wound, taking note of anything out of the ordinary - which there wasn't. "Also, my assistant mention something about sleep deprivation. Care to explain?"

"Hello, said the white-haired man, with a friendly disposition that reminded him a little of Konoha, "Yes, that would be me. I'm Guanyin Nanashi. And, you are Sarutobi Kashizudoto, correct?" Guanyin? The tokujo had never heard of such a strange clan, but, then again, he hadn't heard of many clans in Iwa to begin with... The boy nodded his head in confirmation of his identification.

"Please take a seat on the table there, the doctor continued. Not having a reason to disagree with her request on any legitimate basis, the tired tokujo did as she said, eager to get his problems fixed ASAP and head out on his new adventure.

"From my understanding, you are here because of a bite to the cheek? Can you tell me when did it occur and what caused it?" the doctor inquired, probably trying to find out the exact issue that she was dealing with. Those coyotes were literally foaming at the mouth, and one of them had even killed a little kid, blood staining the animal's mouth and possibly getting onto Kashizudoto in the process; he wasn't sure which one of the coyotes bit him, just that it could have possibly been the one with another person's blood in its jaws. However, he did know that every single one of those damn coyotes were foaming as if they were rabid; hopefully, they weren't, but he couldn't be so sure.

"Also, my assistant mentioned something about sleep deprivation. Care to explain?" Ya. That... It was a... one shee - a bit of a problem. A little disorienting and very dangerous when being fatigued as a shinobi, especially when on-duty in a foreign village.

"Right... Errr... Ummmm... 'Bout that bite," the tokujo stumbled, plagued by an excess of wake time, "So I was on a... uh... B-ranked mission. I didn't even know; the administration just sprung it on me because it was urgent. And... well... When I got there, I was umm... ya... I saw a dead kid killed by some crazy coyotes who were... wait, it was an important detail... Ya, they were, uh... foaming at the mouth. Uhhh... well.... One bit me, so errr... Ya. I eventually trapped them and got them dealt with by uh... What was it called? Oh ya, the municipal officials gathered them, and then I jumped in a lake and stuff so that I'd get more awake. It worked for a... bit. Now that I'm packed up and ready to go, I'm tired again. I kind of don't want to waste an entire day trying to get back my sleep; it would kind of be... well... a bit meh. So I was wondering whether you had some shortcut or uh... somethin'. Maybe some pointers. But ya. The bite is... um... the biggest... So ya... That... Right, thanks." The tokujo barely noticed his inconsistent and partly incoherent speech pattern; he was getting even deeper into sleep deprivation. This could be a... problem. Maybe he would have to take the long route and finally get in some damn sleep before the journey.

Having asked the young man to explain how he received the bite on his cheek, Nanashi moved across the room, over to a hanging disperser, pulling a pair of white gloves out of it. Sliding his hands into them and moving back over to where his patient was, Nanashi gently, but firmly, turned Kashizuto's face to the right, having come to the conclusion a closer inspection was needed. With the new angle, he got a better look at the seemingly minor wound. There wasn't any abnormal about it to suggest the injury was anything but harmless. However, Nanashi knew better to take anything, especially in the medical field, at face value: they have a tendency to be more than expected.

Methodically, he looked over the wound, committing every detail of it to memory, and going over what he had seen, making sure never was missed or looked over by mistake. All the while, the silver-haired Guanyin listened to boy's tale of how the wound came to be. Coyotes. He got bit by a coyote, but not just any canine, one that more than likely had rabies. "And here I thought the coyote problem had dwindled within Tsuchi no Kuni.", Nanashi mused silently, knowing exactly what mission Kashizuto had taken along with the general area of the incident. For the Konoha-nin wasn't the only one who had taken that particular mission before. Nanashi had taken it a couple of years priors, and afterward, had to get seen by the hospital to make sure he didn't accidently catch anything.

With him finishing thoroughly inspected the injury, Nanashi looked over to his assistant, the receptionist from earlier, a silent conversation going between them with the elder lady nodding and disappearing from the room. There were no need to verbally communicate with one another, both, after hearing more details about the injury, came to the same conclusion: Kashizudoto will be getting a rabies shot. It being required at this point, there was no telling of the bite actually affected him or not. The shot ensured the virus, if indeed he was affected, was dealt with, along with preventing any future exposures, if he runs into any other contaminated animal(s).

Additionally, Kashizudoto would be receiving a secondary shot to combat any and all parasitic organism that he, unknowingly, might have exposed himself to when taking a dip in a lake. There isn't anything wrong with during such, but, one should heed on the size of caution for there are many microscopic organism dwelling within open bodies of water with some of them being harmful to the human body. Therefore, in order to make sure nothing like that had entered Kashizudoto's body, the other shot was needed. The shot was a precautionary action to potentially save him from anything down the road.

While, waiting for his assistant to return, Nanashi spoke, having listened to everything the kid said. "As my assistant goes to get what is needed to treat that bite wound. Lets talk about other problem. There is only one cure for sleep deprivation, and that's getting sleep. The average human body needs a minimum of eight hours rest. With children ages six through 12 needing at least nine hours. However, shinobis can function perfectly on seven or six hours of sleep, though not always. This is due to our active tentetsu points and the chakra that's constantly flowing through them. Of course, there is more to it than that, but most of it is medical jargon. Getting back on point, I advise you to take a break, get some rest. You will not only be doing yourself some good, but also those who you work with. A tired shinobi is a dead shinobi. . .". Was his last statement harsh? Yes, but Nanashi wanted the boy to realize that he is doing himself more harm than good. It was already apparent he couldn't function at 100% of his capabilities as is due to the lack of sleep. If he wanted to be at his best then he needs to get enough sleep.

"Even though Doctor Guanyin last words were cold, he speaks the truth.", the elderly lady said, wheeling in a small cart that had a silver tray with two small bottles, and syringes placed on it. "Sleep is important even for us shinobi. Without enough rest, our body suffers from it. I doubt you want to be responsible for someone's else's death because you couldn't react fast enough, or didn't notice a threat, due to being tired. Am I, right? Think about your health, young one, and remember, this occupation isn't going anywhere.", she said, speaking with serenity and gentleness.

"Kashizudoto", Nanashi spoke, having prepped both syringes with the correct solution. "I will be giving you two shots. One to combat rabies on the possible chance you got affected by the ravenous canines. This shot will also prevent any future contamination from occurring. It doesn't have any side effects, therefore, you don't need to worry about anything like that. A nice thing about this shot is, unlike the tradition rabies shot where you need multiple, you just need one of this. After hearing how you took a dip into a lake, the second shot is to prevent and/or kill off any harmful parasite who might have found their way into your body. The second shot is more of a precautionary one. Now can you please roll up your sleeve?" Once compiled, and if Kashizudoto didn't have any problem, each shot would be given with the only pain being a small pinch.

With that taken care of, the empty syringes going into a disposer, Nanashi spoke once again "Is there anything else I need to know about?". If the young man had any other injuries, this would be the perfect time to let Nanashi know so that he could heal them. There was no need to be foolish and not take advantage of the services being provided.

The doctor pulled out a pair disposable white gloves from a hanging dispenser and pulled the gloves onto his hands before turning the boy's face inspecting the bite on his cheek meticulously, studying it with his hands invading the tokujo's personal space. He always felt a little violated by doctors; what made it worse was that he was rather ticklish. After he seemed to be thinking to himself and reflecting for a bit, he looked at the elderly lady, who nodded in silent agreement with her about something. What were they planning? Hopefully it didn't have anything to do with needles; he wasn't a fan of sharp stuff poking into him, especially his arm.

"As my assistant goes to get what is needed to treat that bite wound," the doctor admitted before lecturing, "Lets talk about other problem. There is only one cure for sleep deprivation, and that's getting sleep. The average human body needs a minimum of eight hours rest. With children ages six through 12 needing at least nine hours. However, shinobi can function perfectly on seven or six hours of sleep, though not always. This is due to our active tentetsu points and the chakra that's constantly flowing through them. He much preferred that people tell it as it is rather than sugarcoating it. Still, he wanted to find some kind of shortcut to this thing so that he could keep on blazing through as usual.

"Even though Doctor Guanyin last words were cold, he speaks the truth." the older woman said as she carted in... syringes and small bottles (oh crap, this was bad: he'd need a shot), "Sleep is important even for us shinobi. Without enough rest, our body suffers from it. I doubt you want to be responsible for someone's else's death because you couldn't react fast enough, or didn't notice a threat, due to being tired. Am I, right? Think about your health, young one, and remember, this occupation isn't going anywhere." She was also right; he wasn't just endangering himself through this reckless behavior, but he was putting the lives of others in danger. Still, he wanted to find some way to fix this that didn't involve wasting that precious commodity: time.

"Kashizudoto," the doctor spoke while preparing two syringes, "I will be giving you two shots. Now can you please roll up your sleeve?. He remembered back when he was little: he used to run away from the nurses whenever they'd try to administer shots. The problem was that he was so good at being afraid of shots that it was really hard for them to actually catch him, and it was pretty embarrassing that he couldn't even take a shot like a man. Eventually, he learned a valuable coping mechanism: closing his eyes and looking the other way; it made the shot so much more bearable. Still, he would cringe a little upon seeing any needle, with fear apparent in his eyes; it was no different in this case. He quickly looked away and closed his eyes really hard, rolling up the left sleeve of his robe all the way, accidentally revealing the major bruises on his arms from the time, not very long ago, that he used pain to try and wake up. The technique of using pain to make himself aware worked (for this, he got a genin to squeeze his arm really hard), but it wore off after a while, taking him back to his big load of crap state. He didn't really want to show these wounds to the doctor, as he would then be questioned on where he got them. He really didn't want yet another lecture from the doctor, this time on how taking shortcuts was the wrong way of doing things. The man administered the first shot, most likely noticing the bruising on his left arm now that it was revealed; the needle felt like a... pencil. There was no other way that he could describe that sharp feeling in words. However, there were two. The next one was comi- OUCH! He tensed up a little bit after the second shot.

"Is there anything else I need to know about?" inquired the doctor (most likely in a rhetorical fashion), who was probably looking at the bruises by now. Kashizudoto had still not noticed what he had done by rolling up the sleeve until the doctor said this. Holy crap. He would quickly open his eyes and look straight at the bruises, then at the doctor. This one would require some explanation.

"Errr... I think I have a little something here," the tokujo would admit, pointing at his left arm with his right. At this point, he couldn't really hide the bruise from the doctor; all he could do was allow the doctor to heal it, tell the truth (because clearly lying was ineffectual when he was half-asleep and couldn't do a good job at covering things up), and then get a harsh rebuke or something.

Disappointment. Even though Nanashi wasn't entirely sure, the Sannin figured the emotion was what Kashizudoto was feeling at the moment, knowing there weren't a quick solution for his sleep problem. If indeed the sentiment were true, something he believed it to be, he couldn't help but to mentally shake his head in exasperation at his patient. Shortcuts or quick solutions, while convenient and timesaving, aren't always a good thing. They can lead to unforeseen consequences, otherwise avoidable if a tried and true method was taken. This is something the boy need to realize sooner than later.

Regarding Kashizudoto's sleep deprivation, Nanashi lied, kind of, when it came to not knowing of a quick solution to treat the alignment. While it's true is the best medicine to deal with the condition, it wasn't the only way. A couple of medical facilities, including this hospital, had made alternative methods to handle it. Some were still in their trial stages, but others were approved, but not readily accessible to the public, their usages only being authorized in extreme cases where the benefits outweighed the risks. And while Nanashi could very well give authorize such a thing to Kashizudoto, he is a morally(sometimes) conscience doctor, who could willingly subject the kid to the potential side effects - hence him, more like not mentioning, about any alternative method. His assistant knew this as well, and such didn't bring it to the patient's attention.

Having prepped the shots, filling each cylinder with the correct dosage amount and making sure no air bubbles were present, Nanashi asked the boy to roll up his sleeve, taking note on how the patient closed his eyes and looked away. Apparently, Kashizudoto was afraid of shots, a surprisingly common phobia amongst patients - shinobi and civilians alike. Thankfully, the foreign shinobi didn't seem to have a crippling fear like some other Nanashi, or the other doctors and nurses, had the pleasure of treating. There have been quite a few incidents where the patient had to be physically restrained on a table and sedative with a gas before a shot could be given.

However, upon Kashizudoto rolling up his sleeve, Nanashi took notice of the bruises running along Kashizudoto's arm. The blueish purple wound in all it's ugly glory was unmissable to the naked eye. Carefully administering the first shot, Nanashi looked over the wound, taking account of everything visible about it. The thought of how Kashizudoto received the wound didn't even cross his mind: he just chalked it up to a shinobi injury. However, as he gave Kashizudoto the second shot, paying little heed to the boy tensing up, Nanashi did feel a little annoyed at the boy not mentioning this sooner.  Even if one didn't personally know the physician, there should be some mutual trust there. A medic's job is to help others. How can they do that when their patient isn't exactly beng truthful with them?

With the shots given, Nanashi asked about there being anything else he needed to know about, the question being a rhetoric one considering what was already discovered. "I can heal the bruises easily. That is if you okay with me using chakra?", an odd question to asked, but when it came to shinobis a sudden build up of chakra could proceed as an attack. Therefore, Nanashi wouldn't go about healing the wound unless given the clear. Which case, if Kashizudoto agrees, the Guanyin slowly loosen the restraints on his reserves. Forming a half tiger sign, green energy, medical chakra, covered both of hands. Afterward, these same hands would hover over the bruise, with Kashizudoto's entire body being coated in a soothing green aura as the chakra work on fixing any and all injuries.

"Done.", he would speak, reigning in his chakra once more and stepping away from the patient "That should've taken care of everything. If there isn't anything else, my assistant will follow you to the front where your items will be given back to you."

OOC: Sorry for the sudden short post, didn't have much to write about.

"I can heal the bruises easily. That is if you okay with me using chakra?" the doctor spoke. Well obviously she could heal him with chakra, what else would she do: somehow fix him manually? The tokubetsu jonin didn't even consider the fact that a build-up of chakra could suggest an attack in his tired state. He would nod his head in approval; apparently he wouldn't need to explain anything to her. The doctor formed a half tiger seal before medical chakra engulfed his hands, hovering over the injury that Oki caused in order to fix it up.

"Done, the doctor concluded, "That should've taken care of everything. If there isn't anything else, my assistant will follow you to the front where your items will be given back to you." Yes, yes, he didn't want to abandon his amazing sword back inside of such a fragile scroll! The thought of his items being messed with immediately brought a surge of alertness to the Bukijutsu specialist.

"Thanks!" he would blurt loud before rushing out towards the front desk to grab his stuff from inexperienced hands and run. As it turned out, everything was left untouched, and he would be able to unseal his items easily, placing them back along his robe in all the right places. He would then go back to his sluggish mode now that he knew that his items were safe, walking out the door with his head tilted down and his eyes half-shut. He would go on to finally have a good, long sleep for about 12 hours in his room in Iwa, where he would dream of the adventures that he had so far.

"Your welcome.", he spoke, shaking his head and chuckling softly at the antics of the young man who dashed out with the quickness. Some would've found it rude, it being potentially dangerous for everyone to run inside of a hospital, however, Nanashi couldn't fault the child. If the situations were reverse, and his childhood was similar to what he speculated Kashizudo, then he probably would've done the same. Nevertheless, he is quite sure nothing ill would come from the young man reckless. The only thing that might occur is him being yelled at by other staff members who hold the standards high. Though he doubted it would deter Kashizudo, the child seems to beat his own drum, his own tune, while the rest of the world continue only the same ole song.

"Maybe he will make something of himself.", the doctor mused silently, having partially closed the door to the room, and had it to the desk situated on the other side. Fingers tracing over the parchments sprayed out on the red oak table, eyes scanning over the information on each sheet, taking into detail everything and making sure nothing was amiss. If anything was amiss, it was quickly corrected with a flourish a pen stroke; a red ink crossing out the mistakes, making sure it couldn't be missed by anyone.

A few minutes passed but everything was in order, and up to his standards. Piling the paper into a neat pile, Nanashi took a look around the small room, double checking to make sure everything was in order.A few minutes passed but everything was in order, and up to his standards. Piling the paper into a neat pile, Nanashi took a look around the small room, double checking to make sure everything was in order. Nodding after checking, he grabbed his white lab coat and exited the room. Acknowledging those he pass, Nanashi disappeared into another room. A room where a patient wait where he began the tedious task of treating them.

For his day was far from over.
