Yamada Kegare

Yamada Kegare

D-rank
mission briefing:

With the sun rising again, Kegare found himself walking towards the hall where the elders of the Yamada clan handled the day to day business of the clan and as such aided the Tsuchikage with handing out certain missions that could benefit the clan or simply had to be done to reach the quota.

So rather than visiting the village's administration office, it was actually easier for lower ranked shinobi to just get their missions from the elders to ensure their own status even if it was by doing menial tasks.

Kegare in the mean time found himself standing in front of the desk of his old friend and one of the clan's elders: Yamada Iwatobi, who seemed to be sifting carefully through a whole pile of documents that pertained a number of specific missions given to him to find volunteers for and it appeared that after a few minutes of looking through the pile, he had found the perfect mission for the masked member of his clan.

"You remember that class you really didn't look forward to last week?" The older man said with a playful grin on his face. "How about you teach those same kids some techniques?"

Kegare simply held his breath, before nodding his head and letting his shoulders slump a bit and let out a deep sigh. "Well, I reckon if that's what I get, I'm in no position to argue or disagree."

With that in mind, the older gentlemen managed to find his way to the village's school and made sure that the principal knew of his arrival, for which the man appeared to be really glad, mentioning that a few of their teachers had gotten sick after spending too much time out and about in the late hours and that kegare was a most welcome substitute and assistant teacher for the day.

Having gotten all his affairs and paperwork in order, he went to the class he was supposed to teach and to his surprise it was consisting mainly out of the children whom he had been teaching before, making this a most welcome reunion.

"Allright, I see you have been learning basic shinobi skills and basic jutsu from your teacher, so with that in mind we'll continue with those lessons today during my watch," Kegare noted this while looking around to see if any students were absent. When he noticed that all the students were present, he closed the class-ledger and asked all the children to follow him to the school's backyard, where they'd be practicing a few more basic academy jutsu as was required of him to teach them.

When arriving there, he looked around to find the old poles on which he had been trained so many years ago by his own teacher along with the rest of his class. Finding that three of the old ten feet high wooden poles remained, his lips curled into a smile which was hidden behind his mask and started dividing the class into three equally large groups.

"Allright, I'll be teaching you guys to walk on vertical surfaces today," The masked Yamada clansman started explaining the lesson of that day by silently starting to walk upwards onto one of the poles and continue to do so until he had reached the top, at which point he jumped down so he would be standing in front of the children again. "First I want you all to try it out on your own, each of you gets a single chance. After that I'll explain it and your can try it out again, but remember, even if you fail today... keep practicing and you'll get there eventually."

Then he simply explained how it all went, telling them to use the chakra in their feet and expand it through the pole and via the soles of their feet to make sure they'd be able to walk on the pole. It took some of them several tries, but in the end at least half of the children were able to walk onto the poles without much problems.

"With this, you guys are one step closer to becoming fully fledged shinobi, well done. With that tough, our time's up and your teacher will be expecting you tomorrow in class on time again."
