Asura Senju

Asura Senju

D-rank
The night sky chilled the air around the small grey tent that Asura had put up earlier in the day, the half moon's light shone on his camp while Asura was kept deep in sleep, occasionally muttering words of distress. In his sleep, Asura walked the forest of his mind, it was always dark there and there was always only ever one creature, it wasn't him, but it was what Asura always referred to as Vritra, which was also known to Asura as Vetis, both were strange names but then again this creature was strange itself, it was the darker evil version of Asura that always rested in his mind, only ever speaking out on occasion and never getting control over the body. It was almost ritualistic, Asura would only ever see red glowing eyes in his mind's forest, this would be followed by a creature made out of wood, that looked exactly like he did but spoke with a cold sadistic voice similar to that of his own, it seemed to almost scare Asura. And when the creature spoke it would forever be the same chilling phrase "Voices twist and turn the mind, changing the way we hear the vines, looking upon the earth below, where our empty beds will grow." Due to Asura's time in Kumo he had become less jumpy then he had been before with sleep, before he would almost always be awoken by that phrase but now he was too used to it, it still scared him but it rarely woke from his dreams, however, it was more than a dream this time.

Asura awoke, breathing heavily as he looked around in a panic, looking for those hellish red eyes that haunted his dream. Asura placed his hands on his forehead, "Gods, that was... Vritra... I wish you would stop... It gets annoying, and why now, you've been quiet the past few days..." He shook his head from side to side, trying to get the thoughts out of his mind, the image of that man. He looked almost the exact same as Asura, perhaps it was Asura, Vritra's version of him; such a thought scared this once fearless giant. He fell back, Vritra sending a few words of his own into Asura's mind, 'Oh, but Asura, my dear Asura, there will come a time where you will have no choice. When it comes to destruction, my first step will be your sanity... Not like much of that remains any way, after all you can't be that sane if you talk to yourself, must be even worse if you're afraid of yourself turning into something that can only be dreamed of. The only thing that keeps you sane from me, is your precious Yuki, your dear sister that you care for so much... Life never lasts forever, and I will control you, no matter how you try to avoid it, I will control you.', Asura decided to ignore his own insanity and tried heading back to sleep, placing his arms under his pillows as he returned to his slumber.

His sleep didn't last long as when he awoke it was almost morning, and so with a yawn he eased his head off of his pillow, his eyes caught the beam of light coming through the crack in his tent, at first tried to hide from it but he decided he needed to get up, "Ugh, at least the weather is nice today." He spoke lightly to himself before he got himself up and out of his tent. Asura got dressed, getting ready for the day, he was going to go and see if he could get his hands on a mission or two from the mission board. His hair had grown out a while ago and then was cut, returning it to its ghostly white shade, his hair was somewhat spiky and tended to hang off over his face a little, barely reaching his forehead. His new look was black jeans with a black kimono over it, he still wore his black boots, the sleeves of the kimono were removed and over the kimono he wore a white coat that reached down to the bottom of his kimono, it was also sleeveless and on the back of the coat was his clan's symbol. On his hands he wore black fingerless gloves that reached halfway up his forearm.

Asura packed everything up again as he did every day, and placed his gear in the same place he put it every day, leaving his book in his bag so that he might do a bit of writing while he was in the village. He started to walk into the village, slowly making his way as he remembered what he had written the night before, thanks to the new friend he met, Lin, he got his hands on some new pens and equipment, and he started to work more on his writing. His latest work was planned to be added into the book far later but it was brought by a spark of inspiration, Asura read it again back in his mind.

Asura wasn't too sure if it would fit, this Cortlan he wanted to introduce didn't seem to fit but he was almost at the administration building. He had walked into the village with ease, and was already close to where he believed the mission boards were located. When he finally got there, he was told his new mission, some people were starting a brawl, it was his job to stop it. Asura accepted it and started running towards where he was told the brawl was going down, when he had finally arrived he saw that there were a small group of people punching each other. Asura's mind reacted by spewing the name of a Jutsu forward, 'Earth Flow River'. Asura placed his hands together and used the hand seal that was related to Doton, he spoke lightly, "Doton: Doryū Taiga", with that the ground under him turned into a river and flowed towards the small group, knocking them over and covering them in mud. "Hey, stop fighting, if you want to fight each other don't do it in the middle of the street." He looked over the men who he had knocked over, given Asura's size he thought that his imposing stature would deal with it, he hoped so at least. As quickly as he appeared, he left, returning to the Admin Building to turn in the mission.
