Time to request another mission? Time to request another mission! And would you look at that, it was already laying there for her to take without her even having to say anything. She'd obviously been trying to keep busy and now it was just expected. She walked down the hallway, paper in hand, reading over the latest mission she'd been given. Village maintenance, eh? Sounded easy enough, and a good bit more of exercise, too. Nothing wrong with the combination of those two, of course.
There was a long list of things she needed to accomplish, and was fine with the idea it was going to take most of the day. She'd rather gotten used to being busy all day long with how much help she'd offered Kenta and how busy she'd been keeping herself with helping with the exams. Now that she was less busy she needed something to replace that.
Her mental musings took her to the supply pile and she paused and looked down at the list of things that needed to be done. What would be the easiest and what would be the hardest were quickly decided. She'd start from the top and work her way down in a manner of speaking. There was a roof that needed some tiles replaced, that was where she'd start. Ladder? Not needed, she was sure she'd find a way to get up there. Supplies? Some decking, and tiles, nails, and a hammer. Given she had so much to carry she took a little over at a time, glad the room had a flat place to stick it all so she didn't have to continually go up and down from the roof to the ground and back again.
When everything was in place she free ran her way up to the roof top, and got to work. Rip up the broken roof tiles? Check. Make sure the place was clear of debris? Check. Nail down some new decking? Noisy. Long. But check. From there on it was just making sure she fully secured the tiles into place, acting much like a perfectionist to make sure the job was done perfectly well the first time around.
She jumped herself down from the roof top, seeing as it wasn't that high up. After spending a good fifteen minutes cleaning up the remains of the tile and other debris she bagged it all up and threw it in the nearest dumpster. Now it was time for task number two; painting.
Several houses needed a new paint job either because of wear and tear or because they needed fixed after the exams. Good thing they were all the same paint color, it was going to make it so much easier. Some giant cans of paint, something to stir it with, and a few paint brushes and rollers, along with a paint pan. There were several houses that needed fixed up, so she choose to go from the farthest away and work her way back to the supply pile. Less distance, after all, when she was finished with that. The painting wasn't hard, the first house needed just a few spots where it had chipped away.
The second house needed an entire outer wall painted. Rollers were wonderful things when it came to doing something large like that.
The third? Full complete painting job. Two three hours passed until she finished with this house. Having to even stop and go to get more cans of paint to be able to cover everything. She even bothered to go over it with two coats in hopes it'd help build up the paint a bit so it wouldn't need done again anytime soon.
After disposing of the empty paint cans, and storing the not so empty cans she decided to head off to her last task on her list. A door needed replaced, hinges and all. After another trip to the supply pile she had a new door, hinges, and another set of nails she went off to her final task.
Some mumbled cursing later she had the old door the rest of the way off, hinges and all. After placing on the new hinges which was a work of a moment she slipped the door back on the hinges and slid the bolts into place. After moving it a bit to ensure it was on properly she took another trip to the supply pile to grab some oil. Returning she oiled the hinges and then took off.
After placing all the unused supplies back to in the pile she looked down at herself. She was dirty, utterly dirty. Oh well, at least it showed she definitely did some good work. She wiped the sweat off of her forehead with the back of her hand before heading off to turn back in.
Entering into the office she grinned a bit as a few people grimaced at her appearance. She walked up to Kenta's desk and grinned. "Finished... what's next?"
