Her movement was a blur, the landscape whizzed by her as she ran. Yet another of the same mission had been assigned to her. The location she knew rather well, she'd taken down a bridge here before. If protocol was the same, it would dictate that the bridge had 8 guards on it, all of exceptional physical skill. But Nozomi had dealt with numbers like that before, on her own, and had no issues. It would be the same now as it was then. She had been given a mission, and she would carry it out with no problem at all.

Nozomi broke out into the open, her hands already forming into signs for some of her clone jutsu. Why not, after all? She'd done it the last time, taken out the 8 guards they'd sent, using only her petal clones, if her memory suited her. This time, her eyes noticed, none of them were bukijutsu users, so she'd play fair. None of her clones would utilize bukijutsu either, and this would be a plain Taijutsu match for everyone involved. She herself wouldn't even bother using any sort of weapons or use any jutsu beyond making her clones. Nozomi was a fair person, after all.

Stopping a short distance away from the guards, she noticed all of them on edge at the sight of the young girl in a Kirigakure uniform. Nozomi grinned at them, and they flinched away. "C'mon guys, when will you learn? 8 people isn't enough to guard a bridge from someone from Kirigakure. Especially if you guys can't use any jutsu. Learn some fucking techniques already." she said, and then frowned, seeing the flaw in her logic. "Gah, I suppose that makes sense. None of you are going to make it out of here alive anyhow, so what's it matter what I tell you all to do?"

None of them responded, but none of them were willing to go towards her, so Nozomi shook her head and sighed. Pulling out her Tantos, she laid them on the ground, and walked over them. "Tell you what. I won't use my weapons of jutsu, sound fair? I have to have some fun with this. I'm only going to even out the numbers a little bit." She mentally counted them once more, affirming that like always, there were eight of them. Why was it always eight? You'd think they'd start sending more, or at least people who could handle shinobi. But no, it was like clockwork. Always eight.

Nozomi made a quick seal. "Water Clone Jutsu!" the young girl called out, and 6 copies of her sprang up around her, bringing the total to 7 on 8. In an instant, it had changed from what appeared to be 1 person, to an effective squad of Special Jounin. Of course, the men weren't aware of their folly in sticking around, and would end up attacking her regardless. That's how it always went with these sort of thing. Never learned, and it was kind of unfortunate. She really want to solve some of her problems peacefully.

She felt the drain on her chakra immediately, as clones always ate up a lot of her chakra supply. Each clone had a tenth of her supply, meaning she'd distributed over 60% before even factoring in the cost of using the jutsu itself. It was a technique she rarely used in higher forms of combat, because it would make her lost her ability to utilize chain jutsu; She couldn't just seamlessly flow through different jutsu and chain them into new and more exciting combinations. At the moment, Nozomi's chakra supplies just wouldn't allow it. In a way, it discouraged her breaking her oath on not using jutsu.

With that, and nothing left to say, Nozomi and her clones darted forward, towards the very apprehensive guards, crossing the meager distance between them with little problem. Nozomi could have ended the fight with none of the clones, and the mercenaries themselves weren't hardly an issue. Perhaps if their skills in taijutsu were better, they'd have fared better, but they were beneath her in that, weren't as fast, and weren't as strong either. Without the aid of the use of Chakra, they had no ability to take on the girl, and everyone knew that. Unfortunately for them, the young girl was toying with them.

Her first clone reached the man he'd been targetting and the fight was almost over as soon as it began. He wasn't prepared for the speed that she was able to move. A quick jab to the throat with her palm, and a series of blows to his solar plexus left him crumpled on the ground, gasping for air, but unable to bring any into his lungs. The clone ended it with a quick but strong kick to the temple, knocking him out and snapping his neck in the process. Having done her job, the clone fell to the ground in a splash of water, the chakra inside returning to the real Nozomi.

The second clone had acquired its own target as well, choosing the next person on the line, smashing into them at about the same time. However, she took a lower route, and instead chose to drop into a lower leg sweep, knocking him to the ground with one attack. Again, the lack of awareness from these people was kind of insulting to Nozomi, who always relished a good fight, and out of frustration, the clone spun and brought it's leg down on his neck, crushing his windpipe and left him there to die. The clone, much like the first, returned to a puddle on the ground.

Of course, the first few fights had overwhelmed them, but the next few weren't over exactly as quick as those. At least a few of them put up some decent fights, but in the end, nobody was actually able to hit the girl's clones, and all six of them had eliminated their targets, all 6 having snapped the neck or crushed the windpipe, or breaking the spine. However, the clones had each disappeared after their kills, meaning only 6 had died. That still left 2 of them standing, and Nozomi herself, who was now back to almost full chakra, the drain of not having chakra deadened.

The girl grinned at the two, as the entire spectacle had only taken a few seconds from the start of it, and she hadn't actually engaged them. "6 down, 2 to go. Maybe together you'll be able to do it?" Readying up her stance, Nozomi wasn't actually concerned about the fight. She'd seen how they could move, and she was comfortable dodging them, seeing as they didn't have jutsu. Even if they did have jutsu, it wouldn't be all that useful for them, considering how quickly she disposed of the others.

The three of them then met on the field of battle, doing the dance that people called battle. If one could really call what happened next a battle. It was much more of a massacre. The entire encounter with Nozomi had taken less than a minute of actual combat. It was kind of disappointing, to be completely honest. The thing was that she just couldn't be taken out by non chakra users of this level. She might have had an issue taking out all 8 of them without jutsu, or without clones, but 2 wasn't enough.

Nozomi sighed, having retrieved her weapons and walked back to the bridge. The guards were dead, her mission needed completed. She was sure they'd send more to finish the bridge, but for now, a simple removal job was fine. This bridge had actually been mostly completed, which meant that they were upping their game as far as time went for building. There might be an issue at hand. To be honest, Nozomi understood why mercenaries were hired to guard the bridges. Shinobi called attention to places, and any gathering of shinobi forces could be taken as an act of war. But mercenaries were just hired thugs, not an invasion force. And it allowed for building to commence quicker. Still, she wished she had some more fun.

Nozomi looked at the bridge, and held up her hand. She could easily sever the ropes holding it up, like she did last time, but then it could be salvaged and brought back up. No, she'd ruin the integrity of the bridge, using the Petal Storm of the Mist at the highest level she felt comfortable using. The petals amassed in her hand, and then spread out like a wave in front of her, biting into the bridge, tearing it to shreds. The blades punctured and pierced through the flimsy material like it was nothing, weakening the integrity of the structure, and ultimately, it collapsed, falling into the raging waters beneath it, washing away with nothing left but a few boards still attached to either side of the chasm separating their lands. Nozomi had done her job, and now it was time to leave.
