It was a cloudy, windy morning at the village of Hidden Rock, and Tadashi was happy with the cool weather that it brought. Tadashi stood on the large pier that stretch out into the large lake that the several waterfalls that this famous spot held had created. Today he would be wearing his normal shirt and jeans (his headband on his shoulder) and as he looked around, he noticed that, unlike most days, the pier was practically empty. Besides Tadashi and the few random tourists that loved visiting the place, the pier was practically empty. Tadashi always wondered why there was always at least a single tourist up here. To be fair, the waterfalls were a beautiful site along with that it gave a incredible view of the entire village, which made it a great tourist attraction. Tadashi loved it as much as they, but for his reasons. As he leaned against the railing of the pier and stared the the rushing water, he quickly started to think of his morning. How did he even get through the village and up the path to this place without at least one of his classmates spotting him? Surely, if he was spotted, his classmates would've pursued him. This would've required Tadashi to run for his life, but he wouldn't have gotten far before he grew tired and allowed his classmates to assault him as they always did. Although nothing like that happened, as it always did. Today was certainly out of the ordinary.

Tadashi officially deemed Waterfall Point 'his spot' once he discovered it after managing to escape the other students during his early academy years. It was a quiet place in which Tadashi had the opportunity to think, relax, or even calm down the fire strengthens everytime someone pushes him to the ground. Rarely has he ever found anyone from the village up here. Tadashi thought that this was mainly because practically everyone in village has visited the location once in their life, and they probably never thought of it again after that. Waterfall Point was mostly a one hit wonder for most people. However, Tadashi's love for this place will never faulter. Tadashi continued to lean on the same railing. His eyes were still locked on the roaring waterfalls, but his face clearly stated that he was lost in thought.

Akira gradually made his way towards the waterfalls. He had grown bored with paper work yet again and was now out for a bit of a stroll. And by a bit he was closer to a couple of miles away from the Administration building. He really didn't care to be pulled back into a meeting or because another merchant was getting uppity. The richer they were the more entitled they seemed to feel. Head of the line with the Tsuchikage and then had the gall to complain about how long he took to see them. His temper had only gotten the better of him once and the merchant had choked on his chakra pressure alone. But he hadn't actually lifted a hand against any of them. He couldn't afford coming across as hostile to merchants in Iwa. However he did not bow to the coin in hand. He made damn sure they knew full well not to cross him after meeting him once. He didn't tolerate anyone trying to question him or make demands of him. Even the Daimyo made requests...even if they seemed like orders the man always included a please in the memo. Akira was a powerful man both politically and as a shinobi. A true king of the mountain.

For the moment his golden eyes skimmed over the rims of a pair of gold framed Ozzy glasses with purple lenses. His dark hair framed his face like it was designed that way while his beard was two simple forks on either side of his chin. He was wearing black shoes with charcoal slacks and a dark leather belt with a gold clip. A silver dress shirt was tucked into his waistline and buttoned up to the neck with a dark green tie buttoned to it. A white vest with green shoulders rested closed over that. He was also wearing a long dress coat that seemed black but also seemed to catch the light in some odd way. All in all his suit stood out on the pier as he moved along. Each person he noted and examined in an instant before moving onto the next. Not many were out and about as the temperature was dropping and each household was preparing for the winter. His hands had on black gloves but between the index and middle finger on his right hand burned a cigar that seemed to have been lit for some time. He lifted it to his lips A twin set of smoke trails exited his nose as he breathed out.

Finally his golden gaze fell on a head band marking a kid as a member of his shinobi forces. The kid seemed to appear a little frail which surprised him but nothing he would hold against the guy. Not every legend started as such. Still it peaked his interest that a young man would be admiring this place wearing the head band on his arm. After a brief moment of contemplation Akira grinned and moved across the pier towards the boy before leaning on the rail next to him in complete silence. No presence to be felt from him at all. He would play this out and see how it went. Still when he spoke his words rang out like silk. Warm and comforting to the ear.

"Why hello there friend. Enjoying the view? So many simply drink from the water this provides but so few just come to enjoy the sight of it. A great deal of majesty and power wouldn't you agree?"

With his gaze still locked onto the flowing water, Tadashi kept thinking of why it was that people refused to visit this wonderful place that was filled with endless beauty. No matter how many times Tadashi visited this same location, he never grew bored of it. Many  people thought of this place mainly as a source of water, utterly ignoring its charm completely. Even after this thought, the same question rang inside his head, why did no one come here? Why hello there friend... All of the sudden, words began to echo throughout Tadashi's mind, interrupting his train of thought. Immediately, Tadashi thought this was one of his many oppressors. Startled, Tadashi's head quickly turned to the source of the voice, and as his approacher continued his greeting, Tadashi's face would be covered with a look of pure terror. The stranger's words spilled out of his mouth like honey. Filled with sweetness, and showing no intent of harm. Tadashi's expression quickly calmed down, yet it would still show a look of suspicion and alertness. Usually everyone who approached Tadashi did it out of the attempt to harm him. Because of this, Tadashi would quickly scoot to the side, away from the man. Now a distance away, Tadashi started examining the man, head to toe. At first glance, he already knew he did not know this man. Compared to the few people who stood on the pier, this man was no doubt the strangest. The strangest thing about the man was his bizarre attire. The man wore a silver dress shirt and a green tie along with a long, black jacket and.. ozzy glasses?Along with his flowing brown hair and his forked beard, however, Tadashi had to admit that man appeared somewhat handsome. The man's style was probably a lot more than Tadashi would ever have anyway. But what type of shinobi would turn formal wear into that of casual? Even though his choice of clothing was most likely to protect him from the cold winds that the day brought, it was strange compared to what Tadashi usually wore. Why did he even come out in this? It was all because he forgot his damned jacket.

As Tadashi's train of thought continued, the stranger continued to stare at Tadashi, patiently waiting for a response of some sort. As Tadashi noticed this, he quickly spat out a response. "Uh.. hi", Tadashi started, "I.. kind of agree. A lot of people ignore this place. Most people usually only come here once to with faces filled with joy. Then they never come again. This place is really.. beautiful and.. powerful, I guess. Oh, and majestic.. yeah." His words would come out quickly and seemed like senseless mumbling, hardly understandable. As he spoke, he would appear somewhat uncomfortable. He would avoid making eye contact with Akira, and one of his hands would be rubbing his neck. It was obviously that Tadashi was unsure of himself, not used to this type of conversation, or talking in general.

Akira watched as the kid looked at him with fear at first and then caution. Oh how clever of a child to already have reached the point in their ninja career to be suspicious of strangers. However it would hardly serve him well if it played out across his face like that. One needed to conceal their true emotions and thoughts if they wished to remain in control of their own situations. Fear itself was infectious and if the enemy saw that you were infected with it they would not hesitate. So it was with his experience with them anyway. It had been a long time since he felt fear though. It wasn't a foreign concept to him though. He too had started in the academy and made his way up with mistakes along the way. Mistakes that had cost people their lives. People he had cared a great deal for. Truly he wasn't sure how he felt about this kid and that reaction. On one hand he felt responsible for removing that from the child. He hated cowards after all. The other hand though was more merciful. His hand only raised against those that threatened Iwa or when he was challenged. There was no reason to smack this kid halfway across the pier.

Still the air seemed to fill with the kids nervous nature, so much so that Akira could almost feel it crawling across his skin. It made him itch a little. Still as he waited for the kid to talk his right eyebrow would quirk upwards as he studied the kid now scooting a little out of arms reach from him. Timid little thing wasn't he? It wasn't like it mattered anyway. Had Akira come to bully the individual no amount of distance would save him. It was amusing to see the effort though. Well since he was amused he could overlook the qualities in the kid he didn't like. He turned sideways so he was leaning his right arm on the rail and reached his left hand across to snatch up the cigar before bringing it to his lips and taking a puff as he crossed his right foot over his left ankle looking rather comfortable. Finally the kid spoke as he breathed out another rising cloud of smoke. A small smirk raised across those lips before Akira shrugged and pushed up his glasses with his left pinky finger. When he spoke he did so in the same calm and warm voice as before.

"People just have other things to do sometimes. You may find in this world there are a great deal of powerful things to behold. Both of the Majestic variety, and of the terrible." He paused a moment as he took another drag before blowing it out and indicating the kids shoulder with his gaze and a nod. He then spoke again with a little more interest in his voice. "A shinobi huh? I thought you all were powerful beings that could cough out lightning and sneeze fireballs. You seem more likely to run then do either of those though, Pray tell, what rank are you and what do you specialize in? Oh and a name would be dandy. Tell me yours and I will tell you mine." He said with a sheepish grin.

Who was this man? Tadash wasn’t one for social interaction, but somehow Tadashi kept a conversation with this man longer than he has with anyone for the last few years. What made this man so different? If it were anyone else, Tadashi would’ve ran for his life by now. What made this man so different? There was something about this mysterious man, something that made Tadashi act differently than he normally did. The man had a comforting presence around him, one that could get rid of any panic or fear that Tadashi would normally feel. Every word the man spoke spilled out of his mouth like sweet nectar, comforting to the ear. This man made Tadashi rethink his timid nature. Even though the man’s presence made him want to smile, Tadashi’s face kept a look of slight fear. No matter how comforting his presence was, Tadashi kept asking the same question. Who was this guy? He seemed familiar, but Tadashi didn’t recognize him at all. The man might have a spot in a faraway, distant memory, but Tadashi knew him from somewhere.

Suddenly, the man said something. Tadashi forgot that he was talking to him, and didn’t seem to catch anything before he nodded towards his shoulder. Tadashi glance down at his shoulder, and then quickly back at the man. Tadashi kept forgetting about his headband, he could never seem to find a good spot for it. There’s was always the option of not wearing it, but he always felt inclined to. Tadashi was technically a shinobi, but he wasn’t anything near being a powerful shinobi. It’s not like Tadashi didn’t want that to change, though. Despite most of them being mindless brutes, Tadashi was jealous of the people who beat him up. He wanted their strength, but that seemed like something he could never have. The man followed by asking his rank, specializations, and his name. "I-..", Tadashi sputtered out, unsure if he should answer the question or not. His face turned desperate as he tried to find a way out. What should he do? Tadashi wanted to become stronger, but was conversing with this man really the way to do that? Tadashi’s desperate stare focused on the man’s face and his stupid grin. It seemed like he was. Tadashi started to slowly stumble through the man’s questions as he started answering each of them to their entirety.

"I.. I’m uh.. Tadashi Guanyin.. kind of like um, Nanashi Guanyin", Tadashi smiled as he said Nanashi’s name, clearly a fan of the famous medic. “I mainly sp-” Tadashi quickly cut himself off, noticing that he was still looking at the man’s face. As he swiftly averted his gaze to the ground, his smile faded away as he continued, ”I um.. I mainly specialize in medical techniques, but I also can do some ninjutsu.. Not much else besides those, though..” He said, a smile forming on his face. ”As for elemental natures, I can basically only use fire and wind.. Oh, and I’m a genin.. obviously.” Done with his answer, Tadashi shifted his gaze back to the man as he waited for his response, or maybe even his approval. Tadashi not only answered the man’s questions as a hope to become stronger, but also to finally figure out who this man was.

Akira waited patiently as the kid seemed to stammer through trying to speak. Akira could understand some semblance of insecurity or bashfulness but this kid appeared to be flat out afraid. He found it odd that someone who had just begun to tap into the power that came with chakra would feel that way. Feeling that surge of energy for the first time, doing what others thought impossible with just a little concentration and know how usually gave a sense of power and invincibility. People dreamed of being capable of doing what a shinobi did and yet, here stood a humble boy. One who had not been tainted yet by war and had not been forced to grow through violent means. Sure, based on that scared look he was no stranger to violence but nothing of the kind that Akira had known. Nothing of the death and destruction Akira had fought most of his life. Even now his hands were somewhat stained even if he had done so for a greater cause. Even if every villain he had taken down had it coming. Taking a life was never a simple thing for him. Once that sensation of guilt was gone so too was ones humanity. Still the boy spoke up again and Akira smiled at the direct eye contact even if only momentary. He could almost sense the growth in the boy. Just from interacting with another he was already showing confidence. Even if he did look away quickly it was still some progress. Still Akira looked back at the waterfalls watching the raw energy and force of it crashing against the rocks as he spoke casually. His tone and chakra presence still warm like a blanket. caressing the boy in hopes of comforting him. After all the reveal that was about to happen may come as a bit of a shock if the young man knew his politics.

"A Guanyin eh? Interesting. I have met with Nanashi a couple of times. Must be a proud thing to have a sannin from your clan. And a captain of one of the divisions too. Your clan certainly shows promise. Though you are a little green now a genin is the foundation of the future you. Make it a strong one. Oh heavens, how rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself. Allow me to back peddle on that. I am Dr. Kazako Akira. At your service." Akira held out his hand to shake the young mans as he looked back to him watching for a hint of recognition or awe. He truly hoped to see more then simple fear in the boy. After all he could not send someone so timid out to battle. He supposed there were all kinds though. Ranging from this Tadashi boy to the slightly twisted mind of Jet all the way to the calm and powerful manner of Nanashi himself. Still even keeping in mind a Guanyin could medically corrupt him badly with a simple touch if he didn't set up defenses Akira felt safe not putting them up at the moment with the timid kid in front of him.
