Ryu Stood above the streets leaning over the edge of the wall and looking down below. It was only two stories but it sure seemed a little high up. Still the fresh air was kind of nice really. If once could get passed the smell of the slums and the smoke rising from god knows what kind of meat was cooking. There was a bustle about today as there was a bit of commerce that happened with a passing group of tourists. People actually had money to spend so there was some race to get around and grab limited supplies while there was still a crowd so you didn't get picked out and robbed for grabbing something one of the thugs wanted. Still it was interesting that the thugs were few and far between today as they seemed to be scattered out and those that were there only went for the weak and sick looking ones. Not very tough guys. Still enough for him to keep his eyes out. For now he stood there wearing his usual gear. A pair of blue jeans with a rip on the right knee tucked into boots. an open white shirt was hanging over the pants buckle and seemed to only wrap just over his belly button. Over that was a black open coat with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and fingerless gloves on each hand. Lastly his hair was tied back behind a bandana and an eyepatch hung over his right eye hiding his purple eye from view.

Still he decided to go figure out what was going on for himself. After all it wasn't every day the thugs from different gangs were not out in force taking what they could and disputing territory. Lot of grand standing there that just seemed to be missing today. Not that he cared for it to begin with. Still he was looking for something to do as he had the day off and the breeze felt good through his long hair. A flash memory of the dark prison cell with all that heat and no wind with his hair shaved shocked through his head for a moment. Slowly he took a deep breath and began walking from roof to roof via planks laid across the tops by kids. Sand crunching and wood whining under his weight. Still it wasn't long before he was drawn to a crowd of punks all jeering around a two men in a circle. Both of them had up their hands in some fighting style but it was obvious the one from the streets was some thug that was losing because his lip was busted and his nose was bloodied. Likely he had more bodily injuries then that. The other was a man not wearing a shirt but had on a pair of shorts and wasn't even winded though sweat from the heat did bead his body. Still he watched as wind gathered in the man with the moustache's fist and blast forward launching his opponent into the circle of people followed by boo's.

Ryu quietly hopped down from the roof grabbing the side to slow his fall just enough to swing to the ground before suddenly he heard the man shout out something like a Konoha battle cry. The crowd roared in return loudly enough for Ryu to turn into the group and shuffle his way through. His blue eye watching them all for anyone recognizing him and looking for a fight of their own. However he didn't see anyone he had ever pissed off. Instead he managed to get to the front of the crowd as the man walked in a circle and held his hands out in confidence. When he shouted again he mentioned loudly about if that was all Suna had from it's slums. Was there no one who would fight him seriously? He wanted to at least be hit before he left and if anyone could manage to damage him he would pay up a hundred ryo. If they managed to throw him from the circle he would pay up a hundred and fourty and admit his complete defeat. He certainly seemed overconfident but no one from the crowd seemed to be hopping on that deal. Now as he looked around he saw bruised and bloodied faces on several tough looking guys. So he had beaten his way through some thugs huh? Well if ever there was a time to take up a chance to test out some new jutsu then he could do it now and earn some ryo. He had one perfect for the situation after all.

Ryu quietly stepped forward as the man glanced at him with a raised eyebrow. He wasn't sure what to make of Ryu as he was smaller than some of the others. However the moment Ryu shifted into a drunken boxing stance the mans eyes widened and he quickly shifted into his own muay tai stance. So he could recognize a taijutsu user by a glance at their stance eh? Wouldn't help him much anyway. Ryu wasn't much for catching someone off guard he could just power through. Still he tilted back and forth as the man danced closer to him. The cheering of the crowd faded away as suddenly the man charged him and went for a high right knee. Still Ryu danced under it and went up for an upper cut only to be blocked by an arm and have to block another blow. This time an elbow meant to slam into his back. He was waiting for the moment that he knew was coming. He had witnessed the mans blow and was waiting for him to try it again. For now he was focusing his own chakra into his palms and trying to keep the sparks minimal. He could see an arc of electricity but was managing to keep it from becoming noticable. Still the mans fist suddenly covered itself with wind as he went in for a straight jab with it. Ryu stepped to the side to avoid this one and found another elbow flying at his face.

Ryu felt the elbow as it made contact with him only to step back and let it push him backwards. Even if it only brushed his chin it made his head spin a little as the move had caught him off guard. He felt the raiton chakra he had been building up discharge and knew his jutsu was gone. He was going to need to restart building it up again but for now he had to go on the hard defensive if he was going to survive long enough to use it. After all this person was coming at him hard now that a blow had landed. Ryu danced back catching his footing after a second and barely managing to avoid another elbow dropped at his temple. This guy wasn't a joke that was for sure. Still Ryu danced around behind him only to have to dance back the way he had come from a mule kick. His jaw hurt but he could ignore it now as he focused now on all the mans limbs. This fighter was capable of attacking from any angle while Ryu was usually the same. He wasn't a fan of it but he was going to have to use the drunken boxing he had been trained in as a little kid. He was going to have to dance around these consecutive combo attacks like a fool and win. If he was going to manage a win this time he was going to need that solid hit.

This time Ryu shifted into a hunched position while he seemed to stumble back and forth. The man eyed him suspiciously as he sprung around and began to swing repeated blows aimed at Ryu's head. Time and time again it seemed like it was going to connect before Ryu stopped mid stumble or stumbled a little more. Teetering hard to his right to avoid a hay maker meant to lay him out. He sighed audibly and hic upped before dancing passed the man like he had almost fallen forward. The crowd didn't know what to think of it but the man knew drunken martial arts when he saw it. Ryu hadn't activated the chakra mode but it was enough that he was using the very practiced moves. His opponent couldn't really land a blow on him now that he was harder to predict. So that was how the man had shifted into combo after combo...he had predicted how Ryo would move eh? Well now the man had an issue. After all Ryu couldn't just let his challenge go quietly unbeaten. Not at this level anyway. Just one mistake was all he would need. Perhaps he just needed to create one? Yes he could do that. He glanced at his hand as he leaned and flipped over it to avoid a leg kick. Another arc of static electricity. He was ready with his chakra again. He just needed to create an opening. He needed to connect this blow to make it look almost normal.

Quietly he formed some chakra in his other hand and decided against using the hand sign to release a much less potent version of the technique he was going to use for just that purpose. He danced back and forth around another couple of hay makers before he saw the man slam his foot forward and wind erupted around his fist again. Ryu slammed down at that moment and slammed his left hand to the ground as the man shifted and lost balance. His wind punch going wide as Ryu stepped forward. Just a little mud under the man but enough for his footing to be compromised. Now both of Ryu's palms slammed forward and pressed to the mans chest as suddenly there was a small light there and the lightning arked out of his palm. The man saw it but the rest of the crowd seemed oblivious as suddenly the man was launched backwards a meter to slam into the wall and out of the circle. The crowd cheered as Ryu had won. He could only smirk as he leaned down and picked up the money from his winnings. Taking the hundred and fourty as the man rose to his feet rubbing his stomach and smiling. He looked up to talk to Ryu about something but it wasn't like Ryu to stick around. After all if the guy didn't want to pay up Ryu wasn't going to give him the choice.
