Sanosuke

Sanosuke

D-rank
It was a sunny day as Sanosuke dragged his feet gingerly towards the steps of the Kumogakure grand library. He climbed up each step slowly, not really much in a rush to be bored out of his mind by this sorry excuse of a mission he had to do. When he was at the top of the steps, he looked up. The building stood proud and distinguished in the sky. It looked like a watch tower, if you ignored the kanji etched on the side of the building that was elegantly written: 'Kumogakure Library.' Sansouke turned his right arm around so he may look into the gleam that reflected light off his official hitate. He couldn't believe that he worked himself to death for the genin exam to make sure his no talent in creating genjutsu was compensated by his abnormal chakra control. That was one thing he was proud of and because of his great levels of chakra control, he passed his genin exam in flying colors. Hell he was only a couple of votes short of being the Rookie of the Year from his class. He looked at the library door, he knew that he was just a genin and knew that the multitude if his missions starting off would involve him doing tasks that would make him question if he was really doing a mission or was just doing some lazy but wealthy man's chores.
Sanosuke sighed as he let himself inside of the library, "Boredom here I come." Sanosuke grumbled to himself. When he stepped into the library he felt the chilling but soothing prescence of a properly working air conditioner blowing cool regulating air into the room. He walked to the front desk of the library to see a woman at the front desk smiling at him. The woman was in her 50's at least, she has long grey hair that's pleated down the middle. Her hair grows to just about her waist line. Her face is wrinkled from years of work and stress though she gives off a calm, soothing motherly glow. She wears a long white poncho and a small floral headpiece, obviously not one for fashion. Sansouke flinched slightly at the glow of the woman because of the fact that it was the same look that his mother had before the incident. She used to have kindest smile and would sing him to sleep every time he had a night terror. That memory was so long ago, so very long ago.
The young genin snapped his head out of its nostalgic state for him to focus on the task ahead. The woman was the employer of the mission. It was to clean the entire library, a task that Sanosuke was not looking forward to in the slightest. He picked up the sponge, rag, bottle of disinfectant, and water pail from the front desk that the woman left for him to take. Sanosuke acknowledge the help from the woman with a polite smile. He obtained his tools and began his work with the tables. He put his utensils on an empty table. With a single clatter, he placed the pail he had on the table. From the pail he extracted the cloth and the disinfectant. He dabbed the cloth in water so it was only semi soaked it in the water. He walked towards one table and began wiping the table's top until it gliscined with a light touch of water. He sprayed the disinfectant on the top as well once he wiped it with the cloth. It left the table with the faint scent of lemon. He tried wiping underneath the table to see if he can get out any dust from under there. His hand slid right into a glomp of wadded and chewed gum that was stuck underneath the table. Sanosuke eye twitched in annoyance and began pulling the wad of gum from the table. It had a strong scent of peppermint, which told Sanosuke that the irresponsible gum chewer was just here and couldn't be far from the library. He made a vow that once finished with the library he would hunt down the disgusting gum cleaner.
He wiped down the other tables in a similar fashion. And if that one piece of gum annoyed Sanosuke then he had to pry from underneath the tables older pieces of gum that was so old that he had use his nails to claw at the hard piece of gum in order to scrape it off. He threw those pieces of gum away and began the task of sweeping the floors of any clutter that he would have the chance of encountering. He had to walk to the back of the library in a closet to get e broomstick he needed. He began sweeping in broadstrokes to get the dust and clutter. This was his type of cleaning, swipes of the broom reminded him of his kenjutsu training. "Keep your arms straight and obtain power from your hips" He recited the advice he was given when he was starting out in the field.
Sanosuke kept sweeping from the back of the library to the very front. In that long journey, he had collected a large portion of dirt and trash. There were so many things he could have possibly found from that whole pile of dirt he collected from his sweeping epidemic; crumpled up papers, candy wrappers, instant ramen noodle containers, hell Sanosuke even found a broken kunai's handle. He walked to the back closest once again to get a big black trash bag to put all of the trash in. He got a trash picker upper to help assist him in getting the trash from the ground and dumping them in the bag easily. He shifted the bag and tied it down, the bag was slung over his right shoulder. He walked out of the front door holding the trash bag as he walked down the stairs. He put the bag on the edge of the stairs before walking back inside. Sanosuke picked up the dirty wash cloth that he loved so dearly and began dusting nearby bookshelves that were around the area of the front door. Once done, he packed up his supplies and promptly return them to old lady Aoi. His hands were covered with dust, dirt and grime. There was a small bottle of hand sanitizer that he used a drop to clean his hands.
He thanked Aoi for the opportunity and dragged his wearisome body away from the library. He loved how the sun felt on his body after he spent so long in the library's dirty yet confining walls.
