Maikeru thought this might have been a bad idea. He was walking through the scorching dessert, with beads of sweat glistening off the Sun. He was going to go to a minor village to collect some bounties, for more Ryo, but it proved to be difficult in this beaming heat. He should have known better than to underestimate the full power of the sun of the Land of Wind. He usually wouldn’t even dare to go, but not a lot of jobs that suite him are in Suna. So he continued along the hot sand of the dessert. Maikeru took his heavy coat off and slumped it along his broad shoulders. Maikeru gets desperate to blow some heat off, so he does the same with his t-shirt. This did help some but not to much of a good amount. Maikeru just attempts to ignore the heat and move along. Pressing in the searing dessert, Maikeru comes across a large, bulky, boulder, with shade underneath that was calling his name. He rushed toward it, sitting down underneath the huge object. It was much cooler underneath the shade than it was outside of it. Which means that it really isn’t the temperature of the air that is so unbearable but the powerful waves that beamed down on him. Maikeru laid back, sighing. He herd a line of “s” sounds near him. He realizes he sat next to a dessert snake. “Dammit”. Maikeru watched as it raised its head, and swayed it back in forth in a hypnotic fashion. Maikeru knew to stay away from these snakes, as they were seriously poisonous. And he also new that any sudden movements would equal a slow and painful death on his behalf, seeing how it takes a while for the venom to sink in, though painful cramps and vomiting will take place. Maikeru stood perfectly still. He slid his other hand slowly and steadily over on his right side to grab for the hard, and layered stone. When his hand made contact with it, Maikeru clenched it, and moved his arm. As he did so, the snake also lunged forward. The stone came down on the snakes diamond head, and Maikeru pounded the skull multiple times, till Maikeru could see that it was flattened and bloodied. Maikeru leaned backwards on the shady boulder. He contemplated weather or not he should head back to Suna. He decided to press on, and attempt to ignore the burning and raining heat, and press on. He thought about Suna. Maikeru realized the fleeting business that has been going on in Wind Country. The difficulty level has risen to find some kind of job for himself. Suna has been quite peaceful. Though Maikeru didn’t really normally care for the goodness of peace, it was hurting his Ryu count. Maikeru started to contemplate as he trudged along the scorching dessert. He wiped the warm dripping sweat from his forehead. He thought about taking a leave from Suna to find business in other countries. He knows a lot has been going on in Earth Country and Water Country. Lots of interesting things that he can do for some cash. Maikeru decided to move along and settle for Iwagakure. Maikeru decided to stop once more. He walked up to a random cactus. He cut off one of the prickly fruits. He puts on his cactus protection gloves and sits down to carefully and methodically removed each thorn. While doing so, he thinks what Iwagakure would be like. He heard of its mountainous landscape. Maikeru decides to find out for himself. He drinks the cactus juice from inside, and continues ahead the long road.
