The girl stoped, silent and still, her back straight, shoulders back and feet set slightly apart. Her arms lay by her side, in tension of waiting. Her breathe was controlled, in and out, in and out. A stoic expression left on her face, always unreadable to anyone that saw it. A face meant for battle, for strategy, for focus, she had acquired it in the beginning of her shinobi days. It was quite easy to develop since Mari had always been the type to take a few moments just to focus. It was neutral, not peaceful but not aggravated, simply expressionless, a mask for a battle.

Yet there was no one here but herself, it was no matter for she need to train and being alone only meant little distraction from outside stimuli. Another deep breath in, and out. She was weak, the girl knew that much. She always knew that she wasn't strong or exceptional in any way. Her journey was just beginning, down the road of fate she would face many enemies and face challenges, but in order to do so, she needed to become stronger. She couldn't let herself be lost to weakness, to frailness, to... Fear of not being good enough, strong enough, fast enough. She wasn't good enough now, that's why she needed to change.

She was going to train today. Partially inspired by her previous encounter with a certain, nervous going young man. She had told him that if did not like what was happening to him in his life, then he needed to change it and himself. She couldn't go back on her own words, she needed to follow them too. He made her seem like she was almost sagely wise with that little piece of simple advice. Wasn't it just something that anyone else could say or come up with? She had forgotten to sign up for the exams, yet the girl had come to Kumo anyway. To do what exactly? Prove a point? Remind herself of what she thought of as her worst trait, forgetfulness? To see the strength of the other, better, well trained and prodigious genin of other villages? No... She had come here because she realized that she wasn't ready to move on to the next level, she needed to make herself so.

One last breath in and finally, out. Her arms shot up in a barrage of punches right and then left, hitting through the air while her feet followed through the punches, lightly touching the ground, almost dancing upon the dirt. A roll forward led to a flip through the air, landing a side sweeping  kick to knock an invisible enemy of his feet. She shot up to her feet, throwing her elbows back and then reaching forward to double punch hard her final target, a wooden dummy that had been set up in this training area. She stopped, panting slightly, a few drops of sweat beading on her temple. She stood straight in a relaxed position, taking her Fists from the wooden dummy. She had punched with enough force to cause minor dents in the bark, but she sighed and winced a little as she looked at her knuckles. They were bleeding, the skin shaved off. She must have been lucky to not have broken them. She opened her hand a few times, making sure no bone was broken. She was relieved that there was no fractures, yet it was a sign of weakness. A simple wooden log of a dummy caused her to bleed... How could she master Taijutsu with such a fragile body? How could she think of being a Swordsman if she could bleed so easily? A barrage of question filled with self doubt, she was left alone with only such discouraging conceptions.

Not good enough...

Sakumi sat boredly from her hospital bed.Alone.And sad.How was she going to become stronger if she just sat here collecting dust like an old doll she used to own?A nurse dropped off her food and left so Sakumi quickly adjusted the pillows to look like a body and she opened the hospital window again. With a loud creak it opened and Sakumi pulled her body over the frame. She closed it from the outside and slid down the slope of the roof.As she neared the end she caught the attention of a tree and held onto one of the branches to lower her body.

She fell to the ground somewhat gently and began walking to anywhere that people wouldn't put her back into the horrific hospital.Maybe training today wouldn't hurt her? After Fukai's little chat with her Sakumi was bursting with confidence and hope.If it had a color it would be spreading around her like visible chakra.Sakumi smiled and ran through the woods near the hospital with overwhelming glee. She was having fun just jumping around and being free.

Suddenly stopping she rested her hand on a tree and let her hair and purple dress flow past her.She took in a deep breath and started heading in a random direction. This is until the noise of wood being hit attracted her.Without thinking, she headed in that direction and saw a girl around two years older than her beating up the wooden dummy.

She stopped and looked at her fists and Sakumi saw blood coating them. She felt a little concerned so she revealed herself."Are you ok?!Let me help you!"Sakumi blurted out before blushing. She still ran over to the girl with a bit of fear."That must have really hurt huh?I'm Sakumi Chuia what's your name?"Sakumi said still staying at the girl's hand.

With the way how the girl attacked the log.Force, speed, and accuracy.Sakumi could tell she was not only a Taijutsu user but was quite believable of her abilities.Yet her face seemed to show something other than that.Maybe it hid shame?Maybe it hid true sadness?Disbelief?Sakumi wished she could do something besides stand there and do nothing. And she was bleeding quite a lot.Maybe her body was fragile like hers?Sakumi tried to give a warm smile.

"You are great at Taijutsu...and don't forget it...at least your not weak like I am...now how about we talk or something?"Sakumi asked trying to make the girl in front of her happy.Sakumi rather have more friends than rivals so she tried her best to be as kind as possible to the older female. No one in their world could really live without friendship now could they?Unless they were a truly evil beast on both the outside and inside. But this female didn't seem to be evil and neither was she.

She should never have thought that result would be anything different. Wasn't the the said definition of insanity? Repeating the same process over and over and over again, somehow expecting a different result.... Mari knew full well she was naturally just built with a fragile, delicate body. It was her weakness, it surely wasn't ideal for her position as a shinobi. She could look down to those bloodied hands, feeling the disappoint creep its way onto her face in the form a frown. Who was she to tell anyone advice about getting stronger when she wasn't anywhere admirable herself? Didn't she just think that same thought a moment ago? But that was before she just proved to herself that she was just what she expected...

"Are you ok?! Let me help you!"

What...? Mari blinked in surprise at the sudden sound of a voice not of her own thoughts. It was a small blushing girl with light long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She stood nearly a foot shorter than Mari, and was likely a few years Mari's junior. And somehow the younger girl had made her way to right beside Mari without the Shinobi realizing it. Had she been so distracted with her own thoughts to let her guard down as well? Mari sense no animosity from her, for the stranger's first words had been of concern for Mari's health. Mari quickly crossed her hands over each other, elevating them near her chest, but also careful not to let much blood spill from the split skin. It didn't hurt that much, it probably look far worse for the girl that just appeared though. "I... Am fine. You need not worry." The latter statement was pointless as the small girl and already panicked over Mari's injuries, though she knew of nothing else that could be said.

"That must have really hurt huh? I'm Sakumi Chuia what's your name?"

Again, the pain wasn't as bad as the injury seemed. A few bandages just needed to be wrapped around her knuckles and Mari would be as good as new. Mari only nodded her head in acknowledgment to the statement. The small girl also revealed her name, Sakumi Chuia. During her time on Kumo, Mari had not met or had a meaningful conversation with another  girl. Granted, this child was younger than her, Mari was getting tired of only meeting with other men. Her smile was genuine and Mari couldn't help but give a small one in return. The small girl called Sakumi asked for a name. She was quick to ask questions, curious by nature as young people often were. Mari couldn't quite exclude herself from that group, she was only sixteen after all. "My name is Masayoshi Mari." She nodded her head in a small bow of greeting, it might have been slightly formal for the situation, also considering there was still blood on her hands. However the younger girl's next set of words surprised Mari enough for her to suddenly stop her movements.

"You are great at Taijutsu... and don't forget it... at least you're not weak like I am...now how about we talk or something?"

How did the girl know? Had she witnessed Mari's routine as she had attacked the wooden dummy? Or was she simply saying it so Mari could feel better about herself? Little pleasantries like that were not uncommon when trying to cheer someone up, which definitely was what the smaller girl was trying to do. It was how much weight those words held that actually mattered. Did they hold any at all coming from a stranger? The question would seem more fitting if the young girl hadn't been so... Happy in appearance. Her words were as genuine as her smile, Mari had to believe. She rose her head back, standing with her shoulder relaxed, a smaller smile of humility graced her lips. "I must say that there is always room for improvement for one's skills." Mari didn't outright deny the young girl's words becuase perhaps... She did need to think in a little bit better light of herself. She wasn't the greatest or the strongest she knew that but she did work had to get to where she was. It was never easy, but overcoming obstacles is what gives strength and experience and opens the path to one day becoming stronger. It was all she wanted, it was what she needed.

"I believe it may be best that I rest and speak with you, Sakumi-chan. If I may ask, are you a kunoichi yourself?" It was hard to tell, considering she looked rather young and appeared rather frail, nor did she wear attire fit for a shinobi similar to Mari's appearance in that way. Mari's dress was black and white, with frilled lace at the edges and black boots that were comfortable to wear, along with her usual bow that adorned the right side of her head. Mari's own blue eyes looked down upon the girl's, a matching lighter shade of the color

If you don't try again how are you to succeed?Flowed through Sakumi's young mind.It was something her mother had repeated every day to her.If you don't try then you won't know if you've really done something."I... Am fine. You need not worry."The older girl said as she broke Sakumi out of her one-way thoughts.Don't worry?!But she was bleeding and it could get infected and all that gross stuff Sakumi would have to learn later."My name is Masayoshi Mari."Sakumi smiled slightly.

She wasn't traumatized or anything so she had to be fine. But Sakumi couldn't read a person's mind. She was too shy to really talk anyway so it never crossed her mind how many other people thought. One could call her ignorant for not wanting to understand people's feelings. But Sakumi had strayed away from people.Never wanting to learn anything about them. She had one mindset in her head.People were bad. They would always be that way and they would stay that way no matter how or when someone tried to change them in any way.

"I must say that there is always room for improvement for one's skills.".Mari said, yet again breaking Sakumi's one sided trance."I agree on Mari...try again and again until you know you've improved at least a little!"Sakumi blushed.Sakumi twirled her fingers together as she looked towards the ground, slouching just a little in her purple dress."I believe it may be best that I rest and speak with you, Sakumi-chan. If I may ask, are you a kunoichi yourself?"

Though Mari meant this innocently and Sakumi wasn't hot-headed she really wanted to teach that Mari a bit of a lesson for not automatically thinking her a ninja.Sure she had kind of left her Konohagakure forehead protector back at the hospital but that didn't make her any less of a tough kunoichi.Ok minus tough. And kunoichi and you had Sakumi.Sakumi ignored the brutal question in her head for a few seconds. She was stuck. How could she call herself a kunoichi? She was weak.Fragile.Not even built to properly fight.Sakumi closed her eyes with as much confidence as she could muster.Blushing by a tiny bit.

"I am a kunoichi of Konohagakure no Sato...I'm currently training to not only be a medical-nin but also the Hokage of said village...what is your village Masayoshi Mari?"Sakumi said. Her voice got quiet at some points, but she was more than sure Mari could at least hear her by a little."I may not look like much now...you might even be in a similar position as me..but I know we can both easily become great ninja if we train hard and defeat those who try to hurt us or any of our village.Sakumi couldn't see the future. She was just saying these things to encourage both of them to become as strong as they possibly could.Being as nice as possible.

"I agree on Mari...try again and again until you know you've improved at least a little!"

The small girl smiled at Mari's words. It was a simply view of how gaining strength worked, but nonetheless it was just a little bit of a confidence booster. It was what the ninja of Suna needed, it seemed. Mari kept on a kind smile as she nodded her head to the younger girl, it seemed the words were all the more encouraging coming from someone younger than herself. Mari wasn't quote sure herself how confident she was in her abilities, since she always thought she needed to improve. Perhaps there were times she needed to step back and admire the fruits of her labor, however minuscule they may be.

To Mari's question of being a kunoichi or not, the younger girl at first seemed a little flustered. Perhaps it should have been as obvious an answer? She did compliment on Mari's skills of Taijutsu, so it only made sense that she would be Familiar with ninja Techniques as a ninja herself. However she was still a young girl with no forehead protector on her person. Mari, it seemed, had the same appearance going for with just as she realized she was not wearing her Suna Forehead Protector around her arm. It seemed to be a usual occurrence, forgetting to put the darn thing on. Mari could only curse herself silently as the young girl readied a response. She had closed her eyes and blushed a bit before answering back.

"I am a kunoichi of Konohagakure no Sato...I'm currently training to not only be a medical-nin but also the Hokage of said village...what is your village Masayoshi Mari?"

The young girl indeed confirmed her status as a ninja, revealing her village to be Konohagakure no Sato and the fact that she was a medical nin in training. And Hokage? Training to become the strongest ninja in her entire village, to be its leader and its greatest hero. It seemed such a tall order for a small girl, but Mari admired her for dreaming it. And not giving up in her dream in the slightest. Mari herself had little to no desire to become Kazekage of Sunagakure no Sato, respective Kage of her village. While she did find all Kages to be strong, wise, and great leaders, Mari just couldn't picture herself as a leader of an entire village of people and shinobi. She strived to be like the great Kages, like the First Hokage and the Fifth Kazekage, yet her ideal strength came from the balance justice her Clan and raised her by. That was what she was working hard for, to become strong and deliver justice to those who had escaped its sight. It was greatest motivation as well as her greatest fear: to kill the Murderer of the Masayoshi Clan leader. The greatest motivator becuase it required her to be strong enough to challenge the Master Genjutsu User, the greatest fear becuase of the "what if" she could never bring him to justice or... "What if" she were to find him, only to be struck down by an overwhelming power. It was why she trained diligently so she would become strong enough by her own standards, but it was also why she was discouraged to think she would never be strong enough.

Yet these thoughts needed to be saved for another time. The young girl called Sakumi had asked a question, and Mari needed to provide an answer. "I hail from Sunagakure no Sato of Kaze no Kuni. I, myself, train in Swordsmanship as well as Taijutsu, the traditional Technique of my clan." Mari added her own two specialties since the girl mentioned being a medical ninja. Though they came from different villages, Mari thought it advantageous if she could make an ally with a healer across lands. Konoha and Suna were in peaceful terms as of she could remember, so it would be helpful if she knew a medical nin from there as well as for simply making an ally across borders. Though certainly the young girl was likely inexperienced, later on she may provide some help and Mari of course would not decline any call from help from her. It would be beneficial to both parties in the end.

In fact the young girl acknowledged her own flaw of being so young and inexperienced. Not add up to much? As of right that very moment, the statement could be said for the both of them. In the future however, Mari desired to change that drastically and in only the present could she work hard to attain that future. The smaller girl added on that it was their duty as ninja to train hard and protect their villages. Only so young, yet a string desire for right and protecting the innocent. She was a very good natured, Mari felt a little pride just by hearing her say such things. "I would agree wholeheartedly, Sakumi-chan."

At the end of her comment, Mari felt on odd tickling on her wrist. She looked down to see that blood had dropped down her wrist and dropping down onto the ground. Though the pain was minimal, it was likely better if she was bandaged up sooner rather than later. As slightly embarrassing as it was, Mari kept a calm expression as she asked the young girl a question of mild importance.  "Eh, Sakumi-chan? You mentioned being a medical ninja in training, so perhaps you could assist me in heading to a hospital? "

Sand. The normally gold color dirt like substance.Beautiful.Amazing.And it made something even more beautiful when broken down and processed, glass. All type of glass...from reflecting glass to glass you could see through.Mari of the beautiful sand.Sunagakure no Sato.It just felt natural to say any villages name.Unless you hated it of course. But who could hate a village?A village cannot speak.A village can not kill.It was the people..no the shinobi that truly did these things. The day Sakumi saw a village talking was the day she would go to an asylum.Because that was truthfully insane.

But with how fragile Mari looked, Sakumi could hardly believe she was torturing herself to learn Taijutsu.Just because it was common in your clan didn't mean you truly had to actually learn it.Mari's actions were the true meaning of insanity. But admit it don't we all have that one thing that makes us look insane?Sakumi had jumped out a window multiple times to escape the boring old hospital keeping her hostage.Calling her 'unfit' to go out.But when you call Sakumi 'unfit' she will be hurt like steam to ice.Water to acid.Sand to fire. But only to bounce back thinking she had at least grown a little bit more.Even if it was the smallest amount in the world. It counted to Sakumi.

Failure was a result.Failure wasn't up to your luck. Some could cheat by millions. But failure was still the door that waited for you to open it.To see it shake it's original hope of you away.So Sakumi thought of something mentally. If she couldn't help anyone in medical need after Mari was healed then she hadn't tried hard enough. And she MUST keep training to be better.Or the scars would not only haunt her but burn her forever until she was finally what she could call a success.Luck took no factor in surgery. It was failure and success.A simple wheel that existed for everything.

"Of course I know where a hospital is Mari-san...but warning they may not be pleased to see I ran off again."Sakumi said as she walked away from Mari and headed back to the hospital she had yet to be discharged from so far.Memories still swept through her head.Mari seemed to be extremely polite.Reminding her of Kaekio and Tenzo. The two most likely very polite individuals that guided her and helped her in her time of need.Sakumi had been taught manners at a young age and wouldn't mind learning a few more from Mari as they walked calmly.

Fighting had many forms. And who was Sakumi to judge what a person used as her specialized skills? That was up for Mari to truly decide. And a swordsman?Sakumi could only hope.If Mari didn't get killed as she learned to be a good fighter maybe she would be one of the best swordsman ever?Sakumi had her own problems to secretly discuss in her mind.Like what could Sakumi truly create in her Genjutsu if she knew nobody else who specialized in the very skill? And Sakumi could barely scare a bug much less make a realistically scary Genjutsu.

Who else feared people?Who else feared themselves? Her only 'scary' approaches in Genjutsu would be ridiculously pathetic. She'd be a laughing stock if she'd ever try and use those tactics in a battle.'No...I have to remember bravery'Sakumi thought as she physically shook her head and looked forward. Not much distance left.'Look the devil in the eye and don't be afraid'Sakumi closed her eyes and imagined a man in a black cloak in front of her.Staring her down.A bony hand outstretched towards her and Sakumi gulped both mentally and physically.Sakumi mentally walked and shook the figures hand. She found herself staring in fear at his soulless eyes.Suddenly millions of bugs came from every hole the cloak was sporting.

Sakumi tried to pull her hand away before screaming in her mind. The man had too good of a grip adjusted to her hand. She imagined burning as the bugs began to eat into her skin.Ripping through skin and flesh. That is until a rock made contact with her foot in real life.Pain shot up and Sakumi fell over the rock.Well, at least something had broken herself out of that fantasy. She was more than sure she'd have nightmares after that little experience. Before Mari could say anything Sakumi shot back up while biting her lip."Clumsy me!Don't mind me let's get you all fixed up,"Sakumi whimpered in a bit of an almost overwhelming pain.So no protest would be made Sakumi walked to the hospital doors and opened them for Mari with a happy smile. She was being selfish for other people. But she didn't mind. She had to help.Or she'd truly be worse than scum.

"Of course I know where a hospital is Mari-san...but warning they may not be pleased to see I ran off again."

The smaller girl kindly agreed to lead Mari there, however the Suna nin could only wonder what she had meant by saying that the doctors would not be pleased as to the girl “running off again.” She had not any time to say anything about the matter as the younger girl already began making her way off to the hospital. Mari followed her closely, she was glad at least to have someone who knew the way to the hospital, she would likely just have bandaged herself up and worried about seeing a doctor later. She kept her hands elevated, walking at a casual pace with the smaller girl.

While walking together, Mari glanced over to young kunoichi of Konohagakure no Sato. She was small in stature, her light brown hair trailing behind her. A purple dress fell onto her nicely, it wasn’t exactly suited for battle, though Mari never exactly dressed the part of a shinobi either, so it wasn’t something she could exactly criticize. Perhaps she should have apologized for asking the girl if she was a shinobi after all, if the occasion came then she likely would.  There was no point in saying it right now. The girl only looked a few years younger than Mari, yet she felt she was somehow supposed to put on a good impression to her. Perhaps it was because this was the first time she had met a Konoha nin, and as a Suna shinobi she had to represent her village with honor and dutifulness.

So far the small girl remained relatively quiet in their walk. There wasn’t much to say in regards to anything, and Mari was never one for interrogation. So the two simply walked together, not saying much of anything except for enjoying each other’s company. Mari surely hoped the younger girl didn’t mind her presence, she had seemed friendly when she had first come up her and she had not shown any feelings of enmity since then. As for herself, she did enjoy simply being around someone else rather than leave herself alone.

The smaller girl had her eyes closed while they walked, Mari was just about to warn her a rock that was in direct lining with her footing when indeed she tripped and fell unto her face. Concerned, Mari reached out to help her, only then to realize her hands had quite a lot of blood on them now. IT seemed that Mari hadn’t needed to reach out in the first place as the young girl quickly picked herself up.

“Clumsy me! Don’t mind me let's get you all fixed up,"

She had but her lower lip, whimpering slightly in pain. Was she injured? She had mentioned being in the hospital and routinely running away. In any case, the two had made good time and were already at the hospital doors. The younger girl went on ahead and opened the doors for Mari, likely as well because Mari’s hands still had blood upon them. Mari nodded back, the young girl’s fall still fresh upon her mind. However the case, they were in the hospital now so treatment could be provided for both of them.

Mari made her way to the front counter, the girl didn’t have to say much of anything as the nurse frantically saw that Mari’s hands were indeed covered with a blood red. Mari only smiled with a little nervousness, downplaying the injury for less than what it appeared to be. The nurse quickly went back to door and exited, likely to get some bandages for the Mari’s hands. While she waited, Mari turned back to the young girl who had led her there in the first place.

It was hard to think of anything to saw while she waited. But perhaps she should start with a simple thank you. ”Sakumi-chan, I greatly appreciate you talking the trouble to bring me here. If it were up to me, I would have simply been wondering around Kumogakure no Sato for such a time until I found a hospital.” It wasn’t much of a thank you, but Mari still smiled with such gratitude.

Selfishness. The nature of wanting to do nothing but things for themselves. Not caring for others wellbeing and health. So maybe Sakumi wasn't good at being selfish for no one but herself but she was being selfish to her own health. She had stubbed her foot on the rock and decided to ignore it.More like selfish ignorance. So that proved it.Sakumi failed at everything.Even being greedy.Nice to know. She was 59.9 percent sure it was bleeding at the moment.Even better. Was Karma against her or something?Because this pain, it was almost unbearable.Like salt to a...a wound.Great even metaphors were being jerks.

"Sakumi-chan, I greatly appreciate you talking the trouble to bring me here. If it were up to me, I would have simply been wondering around Kumogakure no Sato for such a time until I found a hospital."Mari said in thanks. Sakumi shot to attention as she walked inside and closed the door.Mari smiled and Sakumi simply only smiled in a shy return."Don't worry Mari-san...I got your back when you need it...I hope I will anyway...Sakumi said with a bit of confidence in her small voice. The room felt awkward around Sakumi, but she kept smiling with a small blush.

I hope we can meet yet again Mari of the Masayoshi clan.May you have the best of luck until we meet again my friend.Sakumi smiled as she slightly tilted her head to the side with a small innocent charm. She did hope they would meet again and in good terms too.Maybe they would hang out.Have fun.Even become best friends until death would part them on the battlefield. But that's something Sakumi would never hope to face.Killing a loved one even when the village was at risk.Everyone was a slave to their village before their best friends, lovers, or siblings. Why did the world have to be like this?Sakumi would never know.Or maybe she would.Over everything, she was hoping to never have to kill off Elin for no reason.Even if he became corrupted and tried to kill her repeatedly. She'd rather die than kill him.

I know I already said it but...may we reach our goals and become the strongest ninja ever known to the whole wide!Maybe better than Uzumaki Naruto himself!"Sakumi accidently shouted happily.Without thinking she continued."Me the Hokage of Konoha and you the best Swordsman!I promise if we put our minds to it we'll be amazing people!Sakumi finally realized she was shouting and felt her pain wash away completely as embarrassment took place.A dark pink washed over her face and she felt her heart sink into emptiness.Pain suddenly rushed through her foot and Sakumi fell and hit the coffee table behind her.Darkness covered her as she felt everything wash away. And dreams take place into her mind.Well, at least she mostly got out of an embarrassing situation. But right now sleep.

"Don't worry Mari-san...I got your back when you need it...I hope I will anyway."

The smaller girl had blushed with a smile at Mari's words of thanks. Mari returned a smile with a nod. I got your back... A phrase that she wasn't particularly familiar with, yet it seemed so common enough. It meant that she had someone who would watch out for her when she couldn't see what was coming. An oddity of a situation when the girl herself was more of a loner when she thought about it. It seemed that throughout all her time in Suna, she hadn't made as many... Friends as she had in Kumo. Could this small girl even be considered a friend? Only knowing each other for mere moments, yet she had already complemented Mari for her skills and had helped her get to a hospital. The only substantial information each other had was that they were shinobi of Suna and Konoha respectively. Yet... The small exchanges of smiles and simple words, it was just the basis of friendship yet friendship nonetheless.

"I hope we can meet yet again Mari of the Masayoshi clan. May you have the best of luck until we meet again my friend."

With the tilt of of the younger girl's head, it was the beginning of a goodbye. Mari nodded again, this time partially taken away the nurse that had come with bandages in hand to wrap up Mari's knuckles. The logistics of meeting again seemed unlikely, as they were ninja from different villages, but it a hope that Mari held herself. She had met so many souls in Kumo, some wandering, some from the same village, and some from faraway places she never thought of seeing before. Mari hoped that one day she would indeed see them all again, and become the true meaning of friends, whatever that happened to be.

The Konoha kunoichi yelled out once more, likely an accident because of her own anxiousness to say goodbye. She wished more words of good luck for her dream and her Mari's own, evening shouting how she would become stronger than the famed Hokage  Uzumaki Naruto and Mari would become the strongest swordsman Dreams... Once again Mari was reminded of her own, to become strong enough to be on par of those Legendary Swordsman of Kiri. Was that a dream? She had always thought of the idea. Before her time in Kumo and encountering such strangers who held such aspiring hopes like her own, she never thought it possible. She had always just focused on her clan's duty, to hunt down the Genjutsu User, the killer of her Clan leader and bring him to justice. Duties should be accomplished first, before dreams. She thanked the nurse with a nod and a few words, just ending as Sakumi said her shouted her final farewell.

"I promise if we put our minds to it we'll be amazing people!

Her embarrassment over shouting finally seemed to take hold as the girl back away. Mari was about to shout a few words a warning, but it was too late as the younger girl fell down to the ground as she tripped over a coffee table.

"Eh...! Sakumi-chan!" Mari stole herself away from the nurse, but was too late as Sakumi had already crashed on the floor. Thankfully, as she knelt down beside her, Mari could see the young girl's chest rise and fall. She had only been knocked unconscious. Mari just happened to look down her own bandaged hands as she looked down the peaceful face of the young Konoha kunoichi.
