Black hair dangled over the eyes of the Uchiha. Day in and day out he pushed himself to even greater lengths to better himself. If he wanted to be strong enough to protect an entire community he was going to have to prove it to himself, but more importantly those around him. He couldn't just prove it to himself, because he wouldn't just be protecting himself. Exhaling a breath of fresh morning air, Atasüke's body strode through the press of bodies that stood between him and his afternoon snack. Nowadays, there were fewer people in the Hidden Cloud Village, undoubtedly due to the first and second round ending there was even less reason to stay in the foreign town. He figured that those he stayed around did so simply for spectating, rather than supporting the remaining participants.

At times he wished that he had signed up for the Chunin Selection Exams, especially since he didn't serve any particular Village. If he was however, he figured he would be signing up with Kumogakure no Sato, since they were hosting it. If he won in the host's country with them sponsoring him, he would no doubt win large amounts of respect and recognition. But if he lost, then he would gain and lose nothing. He would just be another loser in the eyes of the Village that had been chosen to host the, Selection Exams that had failed and who seemingly wasn't good enough to become a C-Rank Shinobi.

But now he had to train, and he required a worthy training partner. Everything I do from now is for the Uchiha Clan. Atasüke strode through the market place with a direct purpose. He knew it was going to take some time to get through there and up the mountain that was home to the Battle Plateau, but he didn't owe anyone anything, and so he walked slowly, up until the point he got to the place he wanted to be at. When he read the sign before him, he was glad to see that there were still crimson ripe spheres on the stand before him.

The Apple Stand.

Within a few minutes he was heading up to the Battle Plateau with the damaged apple in his hand as his white teeth tore into it. The apple was delicious, and after a fairly long morning of working on his body physically, he could appreciate the break. Heading up mountain, he only drew closer to the top of the Battle Plateau. As he rose to the top of the Battle Plateau, his black cloak was starting to flap around more and more, and to those who would be seeing him from behind would be able to see the backs of his legs, legs that were concealed by the white pants he wore. In the dead centre of his back was the Uchiha Clan Insignia, moving on his cloak as if it were a flag in the wind, and the boat it was tied to sailed on water that matched it's rippling form.

Standing at the top of the steps, he descended into the courtyard that was below him. The Battle Plateau for the most part seemed fairly empty. Because of that, he was kind of disappointed that there was no one there just yet, but he supposed he'd attract some attention. His flickering ebony gaze descended down to the steps that he was descending until he got to the bottom of them. The chances of him skipping over someone wouldn't have been a surprise to him however. He tended to overlook things his mind didn't expect to see from time to time.

Extending his arms to either side of his body, he closed his eyes for the next few moments as he started to stretch out his body.

YAWWWWNNNNN. . . .

Another slow yet boring day in Kumogakure no Sato. He had always wondered when he was going to leave the village for good and travel some more, but that would have to be put on hold for another day. This day was just like any other regular day; training and sight-seeing. His striking blue eyes blinking, gazing upon the inn ceiling as if he was merely day dreaming, but about what though? He couldn't even make out the slightest details about his day-dreaming, but it must've been something good in order for him not to move for at least two minutes until he snapped himself out of it. It was the morning time when he had woken up, and apparently the weather was as usual, cloudy. A mere 50°F with the wind blowing at least N at 15MPH as he felt the breeze from the opened window he forgot to close last night before falling asleep. So in a way it was just chilly at that. The occasional military body wash for two minutes and brushing one’s teeth for two minutes and gargling for two minutes could easily make the day clean and smooth. He had grabbed his all black body suit from the closet and immediately put that on and also had a flak jacket on with a hoodie as he left the jacket zipper unzipped. It looks as if he was ready for the day.

{ So today is training day... but the real question is...

...what exactly are we training today?
}

His thoughts exactly as he strolled down the streets of Kumogakure no Sato. That was on his mind as another thing that came into his attention. If he were to figure out what his training today, where was he going to do it at? He was pretty sure that Kumogakure had specific places to train or rather spar in. He just had to find those specific locations for such. His blue eyes had looked around Kumogakure. It was full of mountains and clouds. Some were easy to go to their destinations and some... not so much. He had walked around and walked around until he had spotted a fairly large plateau placed upon a large mountain. { I remember this place... What was it called again? } The name had a ring to it, or rather he heard of it somewhere. He heard that this place was primarily the ideal place for sparring or training. { OOH! That's what it was called! } The thought had finally came into his head as he remembered the name. It was called the Battle Plateau. It was large in appearance, and the way up would look difficult too. Nothing like a little short burst of speed would help then.

Scaling the mountain was somewhat easy and difficult at the same time as the male had readied himself to climb the tall mountain. Before he could do any of that, he had found that his stomach was growling once more and had decided to at get him a snack or something. Seeing an apple stand to his left, he had immediately walked over thing and grabbed two apples, giving the person in charge of the stand his money for the fruit. Noticing that there was multiple little rock pillars sticking out the mountain, he made one quick jump with his new found speed and started to climb by jumping from pillar to pillar until he had gotten to the top of the mountain, finishing his two apples as he did so. Feeling the refreshed juices and scent of the apple inside of his stomach, he was now ready to begin his training.

He did have some new techniques that he had wanted to try out though, both retaining to his specialties of Medical Ninjutsu and Taijutsu in that matter. Looking over at the village from on top of the Battle Plateau, the view was somewhat marvelous as now the shinobi and civilians looked like nothing then mere ants to him. Now he had seen why that this was a more favorable spot to train on; the view of the village was spectacular at its best and the atmosphere was howling for shinboi to get stronger and stronger everyday when they step foot on this plateau. It was certainly was screaming that way for Jiongami in his body as he had raised his arms up high in the air, stretching his body in preparation to begin his training. A hold on for ten measly seconds and then bending low at the knees and stretching one leg to its direction and pushing the knee downward to apply pressure was being done on both legs for a matter of twenty seconds.

He squatted on the ground and held that position for a matter of twenty seconds and had risen back up slowly, feeling the bones from his kneecaps to his shins beginning to crack almost all at the same time. He hadn't stretched like that in a very long time and that stretch was well-needed. Now, in order to train his jutsu and make himself, there was one thing that he was missing entirely to make this training go by much faster; a partner. He could've trained the techniques by himself, but having a partner makes things so much better.

{ Now, where would I find a good, suitable partner to train with. . ? }

Atasüke's felt as if they were being pulled to their limits as he stretched them out. It wasn't pain, but it was almost as if they were being loosened to allow for easier use. The action helped his arms moved smoothly, it reduced the chances of him injuring himself in training. Simple exercises like this for the entirety of the body was useful before intense physical action happened. He had learned that the hard way long ago and had adapted his routine to reflect the mistake.

It was a few years ago in the Wilderness surrounding Kumogakure no Sato. It was a day similar to this one. He felt the chill in his bones, he hadn't adapted to the considerably different climate that the Hidden Cloud boasted. The Land of Fire was aptly named, simply because it was quite warm for as long as he could remember. It had been back when he was on the road with his father, the man who had taught him almost all that he knew of taijutsu and even some of the ninjutsu techniques he was capable of using. It had been around the beginning of their journey together after they had left Atasüke's mother behind, back at home. They were in a field, the Land of Fire had those in abundance, he could remember that much as well. There weren't a lot of travellers either. In fact, seeing other people while they were journeying around Hi no Kuni was almost like a luxury, not that it was a bad thing. In the back of his mind the young Uchiha had wondered why they were travelling. Why hadn't he been allowed to become a Genin for Hidden Leaf Village and assigned to a team? It was something that he had striving for all throughout the time he had been an Academy Student.

Back in his days as an Academy student however, he wasn't one to make friends. For example, in public places where it'd be accustomed to see children in abundance... You know the way young children look at each other and immediately want to get to know each other and play around together? Atasüke had been nothing like those kids. Instead, when he had been in public with either of his parents, he stuck close to them, or did as he was told and for the most part ignored his peers and would be friends in public. Even at a young age he knew the possibility of death was always there, even if they were children and were no where close to being sent on their first missions. He was a child that casted his own cloak of solitude around himself and ignored those around him. Even the praise, hate, and love he received was ignored. They had all been emotions that the ebony haired and eyed boy found irrelevant to becoming a ninja capable of protecting the Village he was being raised to protect.

Anyway, the boy had been facing off against his father, a man who was strong in almost every single way that he could expect an experienced shinobi such as him should be. Whenever they battled each other, Atasüke understood that his father had killed many people in the past, and if he needed to he would be able to beat his child without a sweat. It was sad to think that his father wasn't fighting him to the best of his ability, despite his own child was holding on to every shred of consciousness to stay on his feet. I only wanted... To beat him in single combat, the thought broke across his mind and the Uchiha opened his eyes as he finished his stretching.

In the distance a few meters away was someone else, also doing stretches. He didn't know the male, at least he didn't recognize him from such a range, and with a rolling of his shoulders he started to walk over to him, soft steps announcing his presence as he came ever so closer to the other dark haired male that was there. When he had started his slow march to the man, he had been squatting, as Atasüke drew closer, he'd make sure his movements didn't seem as negative as they would otherwise be...

"Do you care for a spar?"

A simple phrase that required a simple answer, and the young Uchiha awaited the answer, just as he was drawn back into his thoughts. The words brought back a memory from when he was on the road with his father. His father had asked him the question in that instance. The tall, muscular man had stood up to ten metres away from his son. His voice was soft, always spoken at the same volume. He was never a man who yelled, not in his memory of knowing him. His voice was so soft that in comparison, even a pin dropping could've been louder than it, and even yet, whenever words left from those full lips of his, it drew your attention.

The boy couldn't explain as to why that happened, but as he grew older he realized that it was because his father had a following, kind of. Even though they were on the road a lot, his father had had many friends while they were still in the Hidden Leaf Village. Although he may have never asked why so many people respected his father, he could always speculate, and if he truly wanted, he could return to the Land of Fire and track down those ninja that had the respect of his father.

Would they have grovelled at his death?

A slow, dry blink was the last thing the dark haired boy did while he waited for an answer from the man before him.

I didn't...

The wind rustled once more. The weather was fairly great in Kumogakure. Little to no rain, and the atmosphere was calm and considerate to which not really giving any sign of dangerous weather. He could feel the breeze throughout his entire body if he did, because the calm and warm temperature of the wind was as soothing as an angel playing a harp to make the son of a deity go to sleep for days and days. Now it was back to his stretching. He had finished his leg stretches as he then assumed position of another stretch by raising his hands high up towards the sky and stands on the tip of his toes and counted to twenty in a slow place. 1…. 2…. 3…. 4…. 5…. 6….etc. All the way to twenty. And then he had reached for the bottom to where he was touching his toes and then counted once more to twenty. Jiongami then reached back up to his normal position and then loosened his both of his arms up by doing small windmills with each him. His arms were tensed and not surprisingly tight, even though he does not lift weights or anything. Cracking all of his fingers, knuckles, and eventually wrists, he inhaled a light air and exhaled it back out, sighing a relieved sigh as he sat down on the rocky terrain and taking in the nice view of the sun and village. Maybe it was not so bad to take off training and just relax and enjoy the life of being a wandering shinobi, a rōnin as most people would eventually call it now.

He heard footsteps walking. Although he didn’t know where the steps was coming from, the sound was not silent, so at least he knew that someone was coming at his directions. It was as if the person did not want to be suspect, or rather he did not want to cause no trouble. It was good that the person did not want to cause trouble, seeing as though this was going to be rather a friendly conversation anyway. The male then stood up and stretched as he let out a quick moan as he felt his arms crack as well. { Haven’t had a good stretch like that in a long time. } His thoughts exactly as he had turned around to get a visual sight of the person that was walking towards him. The gēnin did have his suspicions of the character, but maybe no harm was being done at the moment. A rather tall individual, about one or two inches taller than Jiongami at the most, but looking at the build of the character in weight, he was smaller than Jiongami, since Jiongami weighed at least 205 to 210 lbs. at the most. Looking up at the male, his strikingly, sapphire-blue eyes had laid eyes on the male with the black eyes. { The window to the soul is in the eyes… } So he was thinking to himself once more. One’s eyes can tell a lot about a person and possibly their past, so looking into his soul was one thing he did when their eyes met. He had hoped that this person would actually be a good training partner that he was looking. { Looks can be deceiving, but he would make a good training partner… }

"Do you care for a spar?"

Well this was rather surprising. Funny how Jiongami was just thinking about hoping this person would be a good training partner, and the person himself actually came out and asked for a spar. It was either he knew that Jiongami wanted the same thing, or rather he was looking for the same thing himself at that moment. On the inside of Jiongami, a small smile had crept on his facial features, showing the dimples that he had on each cheek. His mind was at ease and now ready to put some of his new moves to use. The real question would be how would he do and do it in what sequence or action. The odds were multiplying by the minute at they either with him or against him in his possibilities. “I’ve been meaning to try out some new moves anyway, so a spar would not hurt. You look and seem strong and very talented. This might actually be a good little sparring match.” He wanted to test the abilities, potential, and passion for fighting when it had came to newly approached person that had walked up to him. As he waited for the man’s response, the wind was blowing N, giving off a perfect atmosphere of a good and relaxing day, but there will be no relaxation over here on the Battle Plateau .

His eyes were blinking at a rather slow and medium pace as he himself had waited for the man’s response.

{ As I said he looks promising, but looks can be deceiving. So we’ll just have to wait until whoever makes a move first, including me. }
