Uchiha Tenzō

Uchiha Tenzō

S-rank
Slumbering was the moon which barely clung upon that pitch-black sky, with only a few shimmering bright lights to keep company since it was forsaken by the earlier grey clouds which roamed upon the sky, their colors similar to ash. On this dank and eerie night, with the Chūnin Exams almost knocking against the front door, there was little time for the young and raven-haired man to train the whole squad individually and as a whole for the upcoming challenges that will most certainly act as milestones for these aspiring shinobi. Simple might have been the thought which lingered in the back of that head, but strong enough to forge a motivation that was capable of persuading Tenzō to dedicate the upcoming days towards the development and analysis of own squad; stagnation was clearly not an option, and improvement had to come, one way or the another. As such, the Uchiha found himself standing upon the edge of the border which separated uniformity and gawkiness; it was a dreadful and confusing place to find yourself standing on.

The persona which swung like a cradle from a side to another was now leaning on one side and forced to act even at the most ungodly hours of the day; or perhaps, the reason which dwelt beneath was entirely different than what it seemed. Nonetheless, this particular time of the day was going to be dedicated towards one of the students that that was still considered nothing more than a mystery beneath those ebony eyes, and there was nothing more terrifying than the unknown. Uzumaki Manami, a calm and young lady which left behind that impression while she was kept as hostage within the simulation that was performed on the journey towards the Land of Lightning. With an almost tranquil state the Uzumaki managed to held her ground, and that was not really the action which brought up the question within the Uchiha’s mind.

Was she truly emotionless, or was the young lady hiding something beneath a beautiful smile?

After being released from the hostage position, Manami chose not to express anger or any kind salty emotions against the fact that the Uchiha used the young lady as a hostage; as a result, the raven-haired man tried to make those emotions arose by bringing up the subject once more towards the Uzumaki, right after she picked up the key for her own room. Becoming stronger can be achieved through hard work, but the real potential towards a an alarming growth rate can be a unlocked once a person finds something worth fighting for; that something which can push the body beyond its limits. Of course, there are other ways as well, fear is known to be quite necessary for evolution, and Tenzō become quite aware of this fact while working under the Orochi Lady. Unlike the young woman, the jōnin had a different approach when it came towards training someone, as such, instead of using a toll such as fear the man would prefer to find out the weaknesses in order to cover them up or to search hard enough in order to locate the potential that lurks within his own students.

As the final preparations were already being made once the dagger was strapped behind the spine, the young Uchiha gazed against his own reflection within the mirror with that pair of ebony eyes just so that he may notice that the number of silver hair strands had grown and the barely visible spots did not seem to stop from extending either. “This... is getting worse.” the man mumbled with on a slightly irritated tone whilst those eyes narrowed and moved away from the mirror, leaving the bathroom behind with a couple of rattling footsteps which relocated the man outside and on the hallway. The atmosphere which resonated on this corridor felt a bit uneasy, although it did not stop Tenzō from heading over towards the a certain door which the man gave a couple of knocks, ones that were thrown on a rhythmic beat and not too harsh to startle the person within. “Uzumaki Manami? It’s your sensei, Uchiha Tenzō and I have arrived for our discussion.” were the words which came out on a gentle tone right after those knocks had ended, and without adding anything more, the man awaited for an answer.

Unlike Shinako, which actually was quite a mystery, the Uchiha had very little knowledge regarding the past and present of his own students, and information was really valuable if there was going to be made any kind of progress as a squad. Both, Shinako and Joruri were going to participate in the upcoming event that was being held within Kumogakure; however, Uzumaki Manami decided to not join the other two, and the motive which stood behind this decision was also unknown for the young man. The first impression would most likely suggest that she probably considered herself not being ready, but maybe, the reason which she chose not to join might have been something entirely different. As such, this particular night was going to be spent in order to find out the true reason for which the young lady decided not to join the other two, and perhaps, a few more things could be learned about Manami.

As a shinobi, Uchiha Tenzō was still young and there was no doubt that the man had a lot of room to improve, and knowledge was just lingering at every corner; indeed, this particular person might even have a few things to learn from his own students. The sensei was not arrogant enough to ignore their words, on the contrary, the young man paid a majestic amount of attention during conversations which could be viewed highly beneath those ebony eyes. And almost everyone that were capable of explaining and not just simply state their own point of view were capable of grasping the young man’s attention. This particular ANBU is not really the type of person who fishes for information without really forming out a plan within that head of his, and there was no doubt that Tenzō had already considered taken in consideration a few scenarios.

Moonlight streamed past open curtains and fell across Manami's desk, illuminating her papers as she worked. Every now and again a cloud would pass, forsaking her off the brightness of the light and lending her only darkness. The little desk lamp flickered quietly as she laid down each of her brushstrokes, the ink carving careful paths over the thick parchment. To the untrained eye it probably looked like a jumbled assortment of lines, arching and curving in no visible pattern, but to the young girl it made sense. It was her art, a little piece of herself being pushed out into the world. With each flick of the wrist she wrote herself onto that parchment and breathed life into something that didn't yet exist. The array was complex, a little conundrum in and of itself, but she could already visualize the paths that the chakra would take as it flowed through the lines of ink. Fuuinjutsu was her art, and her passion. So intrinsically apart of her and her treasured heritage that she was sure she would never be able to rid herself of it, even if that was what she truly wished to do.

Manami sat back in her chair for a moment, letting her eyes rake over the parchment in search of any mistake she may have made, any tiny error. Even the smallest mistake in brushstroke could produce unwanted effects. The array was not complete, not quite yet, but she could easily picture how the rest of it would look like. Each line had been carefully planned out from the start, after much studying and experimenting. She bit the end of her brush, still wet with the dark in she had used for her current project. A droplet of the thin substance dripped from the hair-like fibers of the brush and landed on the polished wood of the desk, sitting there inconspicuously - as if it didn't have the ability to ruin weeks of hard work on the Uzumaki's part. She narrowed her eyes at the ink droplet and sighed, carefully setting down her brush and getting up to go and fetch something to clean it up with. Her parchment stayed firmly attached to the desk, a precautionary measure against it blowing away in the breeze. It didn't take her long to obtain some toilet paper and soon she was back to work, hunched over the sealing array with no care for future back pain that was sure to befall her.

Her mind managed to wander as her hands went through the motions, so used to what she was doing that it was basically second nature. Each stroke stayed precise as her mind lingered on thoughts of her teammates and sensei. Joruri had since apologized for his words during the hostage situation and Manami had forgiven him. She was oddly wary of the white-haired boy, but she didn't dislike him. It was just that something about him irked her. Perhaps it was his undying loyalty to that acursed village. She couldn't blame him for it, really, as Konoha's indoctrination system was time tested and almost infallible. Only one or two managed to escape the net of 'The Great and Powerful Konoha', after going through the academy. On the other hand she had not had any contact with Shinako at all since entering Kumogakure. The older woman had no need to apologize for anything to Manami, of course, so she had waved that off easily. Her sensei, however, had come to apologize to her almost immediately. It had been an - interesting - confrontation, to say the least.

Manami felt her hand tighten on the brush almost imperceptibly and forced herself to loosen her grip. No need to ruin her array just because she was recalling an unsettling incident. Her sensei - he was an enigma. She had the oddest urge to unravel him and find out what it was that made him tick. For her he was like a complicated seal. There were methods to going about figuring out how they worked, but ultimately it was always possible. It may take years and years of study and a lifetime's hard work, but every seal had a starting point. She knew that he would be far harder to figure out than a simple array, but she felt a slight thrill at the thought of attempting it. No doubt he was a guarded man. She had seen it when he had talked to her in those brief meetings. He wouldn't allow her to figure him out straight away. Still, she had every inclination to try.

A knock on her door distracted her from her musings and her hand paused. A familiar voice sounded from outside her room, and an eerie smile settled on the girl's features. He had mentioned a discussion when he had first apologized, yes. She remembered that now. She looked towards the ancient clock set against the wall and her eyebrows furrowed slightly. It was nearing midnight, still closer to 11 than to 12, but near to midnight regardless. A strange time to have a discussion. Manami's curiosity bloomed, and she wondered exactly what her sensei had come to discuss, as she had a feeling it was more than just the hostage incident. She got up from her seat, careful to put her brush where it wouldn't roll onto the parchment, and walked up to the door. She grasped the doorknob tentatively, unlocking and turning it at the same time. The door swung open, revealing a man who was indeed her sensei. She wasn't sure if it was the lack of light or just her eyes, but for some reason he looked paler and more waxy than she remembered. Even his hair had gained a measure of silver. "Sensei. Come in." She let her smile settle into something more inviting and opened the door wider to accommodate him.

She was definitely interested in what he had to say.

While entering the room, the dim light which came from that flickering lap was more than enough to reveal that the man had a more formal attire, a bit unusual since the Uchiha usually chose to wear plain and simple clothing. That whole outfit was consisted from a pair of jet-black skinny pants which shared the same color as that haori which was made out of fine silk; however, there was also a white and long sleeve shirt lingering beneath all that silk. “Please, there is no need to call me that since we’re off-duty, Manami. Feel free to call me by my name, Tenzō, since I also took the freedom of addressing you by your first name.” were the words which came out from young man while those ebony eyes took a glimpse of what appeared to be a welcoming smile, returning a similar gesture by displaying a sly smirk. Without further ado, the raven-haired man retracted those eyes from Manami before heading further inside the room, letting those eyes scatter freely against each corner.

In that search, a conclusion was made which indicated that the desk was probably the first and the most interesting thing to check; the next couple of heavy steps took the man against that parchment, and in little to no time at all the man leaned towards it after setting that chair aside. Between the tips of those scrawny fingers that piece of paper was now being hoisted by the jōnin; “Uzumaki... of course, fūinjutsu.” he uttered while those curious eyes scanned that unfinished seal. “Alright, no secrets or lies in this night, Manami. I am your sensei, and I want you to know that you can trust me with everything, and absolutely nothing will leave this room.” Tenzō spoke on a gentle tone while shifting those eyes from the seal back towards his own student, gazing within those almost lavender eyes to add up a further and much larger amount of weight on top of those sincere words.

Once the parchment was placed down beneath the lamp, the raven-haired man took a couple of steps towards the Uzumaki, stopping just in front while leaving behind a distance which was no longer than three inches. However, the Uchiha did not remain standing there and with a few more footsteps the man began forming a slow and teasingly circle around the young lady. Even from the first step those eyes turned within blazing embers which gazed intensely at Manami with a certain kind of lust that was visible in that weak and dim light. What followed after was nothing more than a prolonged and meaningful scan which started from that fiery hair before going all the way down towards those little toes and eventually making their way back up. The way Tenzō gazed upon Manami could have been interpreted in one than more ways, and the true one which stood behind that action was given by the curiosity to find out what was hiding beneath all of those kind smiles.

Those pale lips did not remain silent while the raven-haired man was performing that circle around Manami, and so they spewed out a couple of words “Interesting, are you preparing for something, Manami? For the exams, most certainly not. Also, explain your decision for not joining in The Chūnin Selection Exams.” on a calm tone that was lacking any kind of life in it. Once the final word was spoken, the Uchiha halted before those lavender eyes while making sure that the distance between them remained the same, so that he many not intrude anymore further within that private space of hers. To say that the sensei was interested in this particular young genin was not a lie, and the only question which remained unspoken was most likely given by the uncertainty if there was something more than just a simple interest of goals. Without a doubt, resolve was the most valued asset which was now sought out under those crimson eyes, which had those well-known dots that looked like commas around the area of those pupils.

A decent pause followed in which Manami had the opportunity of doing whatever she wished to do as long as she chose to that inquiry within the process; however, those eyes were not going to depart from the young lady anytime soon. The experienced gained while working within Konohagakure Military Police Force had imprinted a few qualities on the Uchiha, especially since interrogations were the most often activities taken by this particular person. Catching all those visual cues within the range of those keen eyes was nothing more than a simple game at which Tenzō excelled; however, that was not the only experience which lead towards the forging of this particular shinobi. As an ANBU, the raven-haired man learned how to extract information with other means in case words were not enough to get the necessary answers; however, there the need to use such methods had not yet arose, and hopefully, this will not be the case.

After the Uzumaki had finished providing the answers for those two questions, the man would ponder for a few seconds before delivering the question that was actually the main reason which acted as a trigger for this particular event. “Let us skip ahead, and get to the core. Your smiles seem genuine enough, but those are thrown far too often, as if you’re trying to hide something. What are you hiding, Uzumaki Manami?” was the query which followed after, one that was spoken on a rather somber tone by those pale lips which stopped just so that they may form the same sly smirk which the man displayed while entering the room. Indeed, there was no particular subject that Tenzō wished to discuss in this particular night, besides the one which stood in front of him. Of course, if the young lady had any kind of questions those were going to be considered and most likely answered by the sensei as well, since the man did state that there was no room for secret or lies in this dank and eerie night.

Piece by piece, the end goal was to eventually strip her down.

Manami

Manami

Manami's eyes flitted across Uchiha Tenzo's personage, taking in the curiously formal attire. True, she knew him little, but he hadn't struck her as a man of such finery. The silks of his haori looked lavish compared to her plain clothes, especially so in the flickering light. She had not been expecting a visitor that evening, so her choice of pyjama shorts and a comfortable shirt couldn't be criticized. Why dress as such if his only intention had been to discuss with her? As he asked for her to call him by his given name Manami felt something inside her coil. Such, familiarity. It was almost quaint. "Of course, Tenzo." She tested out his name on her tongue. It felt odd to be calling him as such, as it removed the barrier that his seniority of rank had placed between them. Things felt much more wide and open now. Somehow she felt that it had been much better when he had felt removed from her personal situation. He swept into the room with no hint of hesitation, so unlike Joruri who had come before him. Whereas Joruri had seemed at least mildly reluctant to be left alone with the girl, Tenzo seemed passively excited about the fact. This, unsettled her.

As his eyes roamed her room Manami shut the door with a soft click. She was reluctant to lock it, for some reason unbeknownst to her at the time. She kept the keys in hand and left the door unlocked. As she turned she saw with wide eyes how he grasped her work in hand, scanning it eagerly. She had the urge to run and rip it out of his hands - it was her work, not his, after all - but a latent fear stayed her in place, or at least restrained her. Her steps were muffled by the carpet as she walked towards him, each one slow and mildly shaky. His words made her freeze, first from his use of her beloved family name and then of his almost-demand. Spoken kindly, Manami was sure that the words had been meant as simple reassurance - something to calm her down. They had the opposite effect on her, and her pulse sped up a little in anticipation of what he planned to ask her. Those were interrogating words, she was sure. Was she so intriguing to him, as he was to her? Whereas she would have to suffer to get information from him, she knew that his bloodline would make it simple for him to keep track of her lies.

"Hai," She acquiesced softly. Refusing would just let her up in a suspicious light, and that was something she would rather avoid than anything else. He watched her carefully, and the analogy of a hunter stalking it's prey came to mind. It solidified thoroughly as he walked in circles around her. Manami let her eyes lid slightly, giving of the impression of sleepiness. Her body seemed to take heed of the situation and relaxed slightly letting her stand in a less stiff way. The first sign of Yami's appearance was in her hands, as her fingers drummed silently against her arm. His gaze seemed to drill into her, and she could feel her skin prickle wherever his eyes would roam. The scrutiny passed in relative silence, the only sound coming from the window, as a breeze shifted past the small opening. She was unsure if it was the wind or Tenzo's stare, but goosebumps raised on her arms and stayed there.

He spoke, voice devoid of any substance, stopping abruptly in front of her. From the angle he stood at, deep shadows were cast across his face - throwing his features in a sinister light. Her answer was prepared in less than a second. "I felt I was not yet ready, Tenzo. As for my work, it is self-study. I only want to improve." Neat, concise and sincere. Not a lie among her words. Should he believe otherwise then that was up to him. Before she knew it, the eyes she stared calmly into swirled wine red, tomoe appearing in a whirl. He had deigned such a conversation needing of an extra measure of intimidation then. She smirked internally at this little display of power. She was not naive, and she knew she had no possible way of defending herself from someone so clearly above her power. It would be futile. She had no intention of doing anything reckless that evening, just as she had no intention of revealing any particularly damning information to this man who stood in front of her. Those swirling eyes made things no different.

Her smile was gracious, and it reached her eyes and her movements, all projecting the utmost visage of sincerity. 'I have no need to lie to you.' It said. She even managed to add a small amount of her usual projected cheer into her words, despite how her blood felt like sludge in her veins. The blank look in his eyes conveyed to her an immense need for caution, and like a deer caught in the headlights the bleed-through became more complete. Yami's smile widened in Manami's subconscious, and the tapping against her arm became more fierce. His words were the tipping point, and Yami's eerie smile broke through. The tapping stopped. "So curious, aren't you, Tenzo?" She paused for a moment, feeling a little heady and breathless. How long had it last been since she had been so present? "It seems we've reached an impasse. You want to know more about me, and I want to know more about you," Her voice softened a tad, "You have the obvious advantage - those pretty little eyes of yours. You'll know if I lie." Manami paused once again before her voice mellowed out, copying his previous tone of voice down to a t.

"I have nothing worth hiding. Though I'm sure you have plenty, no?"

“No longer we are bound by the need of seeking the monsters underneath the bed, a need that has ceased to exist in the moment we realized that they are inside of us.”

Even if the barrier between them was invisible, that was not going to save it from pure destruction; slowly, but surely, it started to diminish and crumble into tiny little pieces, or at least that was the thought that lurked when she agreed to call the man by his first name. For the first couple of minutes, the Uchiha felt a slight amount of satisfaction which slowly grew as each second passed by; indeed, it was a pleasant feeling given by the result which arose from the fact that Manami chose to relieve herself from all of that tension, which had the form of a rigid posture. They usually say that ignorance is bliss, which is actually quite true, because this satisfaction was nothing more than an illusion which was forged by entity named Yami, one of which existence was still a secret that was being kept hidden from this raven-haired man. In spite of all of this, those crimson eyes were able to pick Manami’s own pair of fingers which ceaselessly assaulted her own arm; perhaps, she was getting a little nervous.

“Improvement...” the Uchiha repeated that word on a rather faint tone whilst those eyes gazed a bit skeptically within Manami’s own pair of eyes, since the man did asked for a reason and then what he got was something really vague; however, this shall be kept in mind and used a bit later. Maybe the Uzumaki did not say anything else besides the truth, although, there was still a slight amount of doubt which forced the man to believe that she might have left out a few important details. Those eyes slowly went a bit further down, just so they may notice the fact that Manami also threw out a smile, to further convince the man about her words; the tapping done by those fingers started to intensify, and within moments they’ve stopped to reveal something that was far more interesting. Narrowed were the eyes which the man used to gaze upon her, and when that gracious smile was taken over by what appeared to be an eerie smile, Tenzō’s own pair of eyes had widen like saucers.

Astonishment stabbed like a dagger, it clashed against the man like a train with no brakes; Manami had placed the man off-guard since those words and the way in which she spoke was not really predicted. Thus, that question was something which those eyes were not capable of foreseeing. There might have been a slight amount of doubt at the beginning which questioned that beautiful smile along with that kindness which seemed a bit too forced; however, what came next simply caused a shiver throughout that empty vessel. Just like a roaring thunder, it went from head to toes. No, this was not fear or anything alike, it was just something simple as pure excitement, an itch which was not felt for a long amount of time. Words are simply just not enough to describe what the Uchiha felt in this moment. Nonetheless, there was no doubt that this particularly odd feeling which laid dormant within Tenzō up until this moment, was now shaken and awoken by this young lady; the monster wanted to come out.

With that right hand slowly hoisted, the raven-haired man used those scrawny fingers to grab on Manami’s shirt with just four of them, pulling it gently towards him whilst those crimson eyes descended across that area; the man had no shame looking at her breasts. “Well, I believe that you do have something interesting that you’re hiding, pretty, just like my eyes.” the Uchiha spoke on a tone with a lot of playfulness behind it before letting that shirt flee between those fingertips, and then, those eyes which displayed a certain lust went back against her own blue orbs. Every gesture that he made was considered at least twice, and the jōnin wished to see how far could this young lady go to find out what she wanted; maybe, she was capable of seeing that those words were more than just a flirt.

“Yes, you may be right. Perhaps, I am a bit too curious, and since we have reached an impasse, the best thing to do for now, is for you to go and lock the door. We don’t want any kind of prying eyes to witness what we truly are, isn’t that right, Manami?” were the next couple of words that were being gushed out from the man; however, he did not await to witness if she was going to comply or not, since a couple of heavy footsteps began taking the man somewhere else within the room. Those blazing embers went against the nearest window as the man walked towards it, just so that he may gaze with those eyes outside the window for some mere moments. There was no one within sight, and the streets beneath were quite empty; however, the Uchiha did not refrain himself from adding more precautionary measures. As such, the opening between the curtains from which those moonlight rays perturbed the room, were now being closed so that only the lamp may flicker inside the room.

The parchment which contained the unfinished fūinjutsu was pushed gently aside, so that the Uchiha may place instead that firm buttocks of his, leaning gently with both arms along his side and upon the wooden furniture. “I can show you and tell you more about me, however, I am not certain how much you can handle. What if, I am nothing more than a monster, what will you do?” Tenzō uttered while shifting those eyes against Manami, leaving a slight pause in which the young lady had the ability to answer. Right after the young Uzumaki would reply, the jōnin will leave behind a few more words “I wonder what and how strong is your resolve? Not only that, but how far are you willing to go in order to get what you want.” that were spoken on a rather eerie and somber tone.

Manami

Manami

D-rank
As she spoke Tenzo's eyes widened, clearly displaying his surprise. At her tone of voice, or perhaps her audacity to talk to a superior in such a way, she was not sure. It was an interesting reaction to witness, Yami not yet quite used to acting as such. She wondered just how much Tenzo could discern with those famed eyes of his, and whether they granted him the ability to truly see underneath the underneath. Yami was so deeply entwined within Manami's subconscious mind that she doubted even a Yamanaka would be able to tell the difference. Doubt was different from certainty though, and the girl made a note to avoid the mind walkers, at least for the time being. Who new what the light-seeking Konoha would do to her, a girl so used to the shadows of the world? From the surprise in Tenzo's face bloomed something akin to excitement. It was almost feral in the way that it spread, and Manami arched an eyebrow in defiance. If it was an attempt to intimidate her in any way, it was failing. Whilst Manami would never dare fight against her superiors - no matter what grudge she harbored against them - Yami had no such reservations. She openly challenged this man's authority.

His fingers found themselves snug in the collar of her shirt, pulling her upwards for a brief moment. Yami did nothing to stop him, though her skin prickled from the sheer proximity it afforded him. She was pulled up onto her toes, muscles straining to keep herself from being half hung. Another disadvantage of her lacking stature. The back of the collar cut into the back of her neck, sure to leave some sort of mark in the aftermath. Manami would want to hide it, and Yami tried to remember to allow the girl some recollection. She noted how shameless Tenzo was, ogling her even as he had her in his grip. Her mouth quirked upwards a little at that. His words were playful and fleeting, just as his grip loosened and afforded the girl freedom. "We all have our secrets." She murmured, a little devious spark flaring up in her eyes for a moment. She was having such fun. Uchiha Tenzo was proving to be a much more interesting little thing than she had first deigned him.

His set of instructions were almost laughable. Oh, so he was that kind of person then. One who went to lengths to ensure that none found out about what truly lay just beneath the skin. A true patron of Konoha. "I have no qualms in others knowing my true nature." This was said under her breath, but purposeful. She was sure that he could hear her. She chose to lock the door in any case, for his sake rather than hers. One might think her odd to say that she didn't mind, considering how different this Manami was to the usual cheery and bright girl. Was she not already hiding her true self in everyday life? But poor, sweet little Manami was oblivious to her own plight. Yami had let that personality grow without no inkling that she existed. Waiting for the time to strike was her more preferred method of going about things, and Manami made the perfect waiting spot. At least most of the time. If Tenzo had seen something in her that was different so easily, perhaps Yami would have to keep herself away from Manami's personal affairs more than she already was. Yet another sacrifice on her part.

The lock clicked resolutely just as the meager light in the room dimmed even further. Trapped in a cage with a lion, a fitting metaphor for her current situation. As Manami turned she watched him set aside her work, before making himself comfortable on top of her desk. His words made her pause, but only for a breath. "I suppose that then we would be one and the same. What then, would there be for me to do? I am no hypocrite." With the room between them still it seemed almost as if they were avoiding each other. Manami kept her gaze firmly on Tenzo, not allowing her eyes to falter even against the glowing vermilion of his irises. She began her walk forwards. "There is only one thing I want in this world," Her steps faltered slightly as the same wish echoed loudly between Yami and Manami, "and despite how much in common the two of us have, I don't believe you have what I want. Though I must say that there aren't a lot of things I wouldn't do to obtain it." There was an audible sense of finality in her words. Yami knew not what this man expected of her in that moment, and could only hope to guess. She continued forwards languidly, giving Tenzo all the time in the world to offer up his reactions to her answers.

When she stopped she was right next to him, her palms splayed across the cold surface of the desk. Their fingers were so near to one another that if she shifted even slightly they would touch. The cool air from the crack in the window splashed against her face, a sort of relief from the stifling atmosphere of the room. She snapped her head to the side and leaned right up close to Tenzo, cupping a hand near her mouth, looking almost like a child wanting to whisper a secret to a precious friend. "What is it that you want, Tenzo?" Her voice was cool, lips right next to the shell of his ear. She smiled with only half of her mouth and pulled away, removing herself from his personal space, going to pace the room. Her hands were entwined behind her back and she lifted her eyes to the ceiling, hair tumbling down her back at the action. Behind her the clock struck midnight, and the witching hour began. She smiled.

How very fitting...

Uchiha Tenzō

Uchiha Tenzō

Every resolve had to be tested to judge its worth and value, and those earlier acts had that purpose beneath and the only result as of now indicating that the female Uzumaki was capable of resisting so far with ease. As such, the raven-haired man had the pleasure and opportunity of witnessing the expression of defiance which slowly began building upon Manami’s face; the ascendance of that thin eyebrow was nothing more than mild trigger for what was about to follow. From this point on, anticipating the reactions had started to become quite problematic; however, the Uchiha was quite pleased at the core with how things were being developed. Without even wavering for a moment, this fiery young lady had managed to stand firmly in her position even when that shirt of hers was caught and the flame which began to flicker in those blue eyes was the spark which Tenzō sought to obtain.

The itch became more present.

Kindling the flame even further was going to be the goal within this eerie and dank night, and the Uchiha strived hardly to control himself for the time being; little by little, progress was starting to show, and the end goal might not have been that far. Besides that burning determination, obedience and submission were also needed to become a part of this young lady who was filled with the potential of blossoming at an alarming rate. Usually, flowers needed light in order for them to sprout; however, this particular one was going to sprout in total darkness, a fitting setting for those who were not bound or entangled in strings which kept them restrained, forbidding them to aim for greatness. With that everlasting gaze the raven-haired man kept Manami in sight while she locked the door, rewarding her with a couple of words “One and the same? That’s a bold assumption.” on a hollow tone which expressed not even a single emotion underneath. Perhaps, Tenzō had not yet realized it but those words of hers had a bit of truth within, and the fact that both of them had something dwelling inside was nothing more than a proof on her behalf.

Both of their gaze did not seem to be that different either, and the fact that she was willingly walking towards him to close that gap was something which the man admired. “You have my attention now. Tell me, what do you desire the most?” was the inquiry which filled the empty gap which lingered between the two. After the pause which emerged for the young girl to answer, that audacity of hers was once more displayed once she successfully managed to seize the gap between them, diminishing it almost completely once she whispered against that ear of his. Those crimson eyes were locked on her fingers before that gaze was interrupted by another bold question, and as a reaction the Uchiha’s own pair of lips began to grow whilst those corners ascended within a devious smile, a broad one which almost reached those ears. Without moving from that location, Tenzō allowed Manami to express herself in order to witness and observe what she was truly capable of, and that smile lingered for a couple of moments.

Every cell in the body was now itching, and what was slumbering inside was about to emerge lightly.

However, the smile was erased completely.

With a sudden jerk, the raven-haired man propelled himself away from that cold desk; with half of that chiseled body leaning forth, the Uchiha uncoiled up that spine which forced the rest of that body to undertake a firm and straight posture. Perhaps, this was the perfect time to let this young lady catch a small glimpse of what was hiding in that vessel which the man referred to as an empty husk, and without giving any more thoughts those eyes began to narrow as they gazed upon Manami. Without even moving a single inch, that jet-black hair which lingered around that thin waist twitched suddenly and only for the fragment of a single second. That idly chakra had surged and boomed throughout those veins and the amount which came out was moderate so that only the young woman which stood beneath those eyes may take notice of it.

Indeed, the amount of chakra which showed its presence was not truly what Tenzō wished to display, and the actual purpose was to show its texture. No, it did not became visible, but the feeling that was left behind gave the impression that it was quite hollow and empty, as if all the air within the room was sucked out by its sinister presence. “What I want...” the man questioned himself while calming down, letting those tense muscles release themselves back into their calm and natural state. With a couple of heavy footsteps, the jōnin made his way back to the desk whilst extending that right hand of his in order to grasp the chair with that five finger army. After a firm grip was formed, a screeching sound began to echo whilst that chair was slithered across the floor and turned against Manami before that firm buttocks which belonged towards the Uchiha had the opportunity of sinking itself within that red cushion.

The man readjusted himself by lashing that spine against the back of the chair, and those two arms were also hoisted before placed upon those armrests. “... is total control, over you.” Tenzō demanded on a hollow tone which indicated that those words were serious due to the lack of playfulness; shimmering and crimson were the eyes that locked against Manami’s own pair of blue eyes. Those moonlight rays were radiating inside the room, passing through the small gaps of that curtain to illuminate the dark background which stood behind the Uchiha. “Your early attempt was, pleasing, but also childish. I know that you’re capable of more, so why don’t you show me... what I want to see...” a pause interrupted the man so that those eyes may practically feast on her body, travelling all the way from head to toes.  And finally the last words were about to unveil themselves “... and also, what you can do.” and ending up abruptly, as those eyes were now locked back against hers.

This itch needed scratching.
