Otto was packed and armed to his teeth he was going to win these exams, become chunin, and impress his entire family. He walked to the door to the village with a broad smile on his face this was his first time traveling; he couldn't wait to see the sites. He would be traveling with his team memebers, Sero and Hira he just hoped Hira can keep his emotions in check the guy has issues. Then again he wish Sero would show emotion other than surprise and stoicness. He waited at the gate for his traveling companians confident that one of them would win the exams.

Hira walked towards the gate with little emotion on his face, he had not yet recovered from hikou's death and he was still a little uneasy. He wandered if the exams were even worth it but he knew they were inside his heart and as he got close to the gate he noticed otto standing there and approached him. Hira had brought nothing to travel with, just his swords, his shark skin armor and his water bottle. He knew had to fend for himself well enought that, what he had was all he would need. He knew he was strong enough to win he just hoped he could keep his emotions from getting in the way of his better judgement. He looked up at otto and asked in a depressed voice "So you ready to go? I hope to leave as soon as Sero's ready." Hira just wanted to get on the road, he was acually born outside the village so he was used to being away from it and thats what he hoped to be right now was away from it all.

Otto was sharpening his sword and scowled at his fellow team 1 member, "yes fearless leader." His smile returns as he says to him,"as long as we have time to see the sites." he looked as if he was dreaming. His face quickly became serious,"You think you're gonna be able to hold in your emotions should you meet up with... her." He said this kindly as possible, but he couldn't let Hira create a war while Kiri is so weak.

Hira didnt even budge at otto's question. He knew who otto was talking about but he didnt care. He looked up at otto for a moment. He then stated "Trust she is the least of my worries." It was true Hira couldnt let her get in the way of his goals.

Otto laughed he decided to push his luck, "Well it's good to know that you won't allow Kiri to go to war for your crush. I was a bit worried, but at the same time I trust your judgement and have your back." He chuckles softly, " "you have any interesting tactics for the exams?" He says toying with the shackles and chain around his wrists, personally Otto had several and of those tactics a few were made specially for his teammates.

Sero approaches out of the crowd in his usual grey attire. However unlike the others he didn’t have a weapon on him. Instead in on hand he held a book which he appeared to be reading and in the other he held an apple. From which he took a bite as if just doing some homework. His book title read “advanced tactics from the high ground to the low ground” and it appeared to be a text book. Light reading really for the trip. However on his back he was wearing a back pack filled with travel rations. A map. Water canteens. And plenty of moss for one of the tactics he and otto had made. He swallows the bit of apple as he passes the two not even diverting his eyes from his book. It was as if the recent occurrence was hardly on his mind. And to be honest he had shifted his focus away from it. He does speak however in a flat bored tone as he passes the two.

"Come along then. Haven't got all day."

Hira smiled as the last of their squad mates arrived. Hira was ready to go, he looked over at the two squad mates and before heading out said one thing "Now its pretty basic but keep your guard up and expect the unexpected, no one in the exams will be a pushover so be ready. Other than that we should be fine" He then proceeded to walk down the road expecting the other two to follow. Hira enjoyed being outside the village but there was too much going through his mind for him to feel an emotion such as joy.

Otto chuckled at his teamates he loved being the most carefree among them. He begins to jump rope with his chain moving after them like a professional. He quickly caught up to them and said aloud, "It's hard being the coolest member of team 1."

Sero walks along flipping through pages of his book as they move. to describe him would be to say he was abnormally indifferent. but at the same time he was also highly intelligent. while he walks his feet come across two rocks. he begins to kick them as they walk keeping both rocks on the path and kicking them the moment he reaches them again. it was a simple accuracy practice but with the distance they had to travel it was troublesome. even Sero was practicing.

As Hira walked he stopped for a moment and looked back at his home village, he used to think less of it. Then again he used to think less of humanity itself. He laughed at otto's remark and sero, well he was just... sero. The chunin exams was their destination and they were ready.

Otto yawned they were pretty close to konoha according to the map. Otto looked at it with a frown he had to look at the sites, but it was 4 days until the exams they had to train for the exams he could see the site later. He says aloud, "as soon as we get to konoha we train anything we need. This is a great place to learn fire jutsu, Sero." Otto looks sort of sad, he was so looking forward to seeing the sites.

hmm?

was Sero's response as if he where hardly even there. the rock was semi accurately being bounced between his feet while practicing his kickboxing. however there where some awkward wasted movements still. he did not mind though. that was what the practice was for. still he replies after staring blankly for a moment.

"Ah yes. Fire jutsu. that sounds wonderful."

the remark would of had more meaning with at least a smile.
