Mission Details:

There was low growl coming from somewhere. Truth be told, it was quite loud and filled with all kids of emotional tension. Too preoccupied with her own thoughts, it took Gin a while to figure out that she was the source of that primal noise. It made her sound like some sort of animal, consumed with all sorts of rage. People walking around the Administrative Building whispered under their breaths while shooting the woman worried looks. When their eyes locked with hers, however, they quickly scurried away, hiding their faces from hers in pure fear of what she could be capable of doing to them. Funny enough, the silver haired woman meant them no harm and just wanted to show that there was no need for concern. She was fine. However, that wasn't what the expression on her face or her entire demeanor showed. She was much too angry and much too forward in nature too hide that fact. What was the source of that answer, you may ask? Well, a rabbit.

It wasn't just any rabbit, however, it was a devious little fucker that had caused all kinds of trouble for the past few weeks in this tiny little village while everyone was trying to enjoy the yearly celebrations. Gin had had to clean up all kinds of messes because of that little fuzzball and his - it was a he, Gin had noticed the first time she had captured the thing - tendency and apparent need to spoil everything for everyone. Well, there was that, and the fact that the thing had openly mocked Gin when she had turned him into the village officials the first time. Joke's on him, Gin still found enough money to buy herself dinner later. Well, the word "found" could only be used loosely, but still.

The latest fiasco now echoed throughout the Cocoa Valley - that nice and colorful place with all the lively maps and happy people. The chaos was very much noticeable. It started out small - one little kid was seemingly pretending to act like a bunny, hopping around and munching on things normal people would never munch on, like grass. Reports said it was adorable - why would that detail be included in an official report? - and drew a large crowd. Several kids joined in. And then adults. And then everyone was in on it and none of them were snapping out of it. After someone reported seeing an animal that looked an awful lot like that Moon Rabbit, the city officials called upon the visiting shinobi almost immediately. Gin had been more than happy to thwart that thing's plans, so she was one of the first people to accept the task and all of its implications. She was given a set of chocolate carrots that were supposedly infused with chakra and would snap them out of the genjutsu.

Genjutsu. The word always left a bitter taste in Gin's mouth, even when she hadn't spoken it out loud. Of course the rabbit was a genjutsu user. It made sense and also served as an excuse for Gin to hate him even more. That was why she was outright fuming right now. He was probably a medic as well. The mere thought of it was what had made Gin start to growl and hiss under her breath. And that was where she was now, mentally psyching herself up for a possible encounter with that stupid fucking white ball of fur. She had to consciously remind herself that that wasn't the mission's priority. She had to make sure that the latest victims of this prank were all kept safe and that they snapped out of it and returned to normal. Gin sighed. It was time to move onward to do just that.

Gin stretched her muscles a bit, snapping out of her intense fury and readying herself for a quick sprint to the Cocoa Valley. She took a deep breath and exhaled sharply before setting off into a run, zooming quickly past the people crowding around the streets. The closer she got to her destination, the less people there were as she passed by. It made sense when she arrived to a sort of man made barricade. The local police had set up a sort of perimeter around the area to make sure that all the rabbit people were all concentrated in the same place. Well, maybe "barrier" was too formal of a word to use. You couldn't really call it that when it was just the one guy standing there, trying to frantically cover the road by himself. There people were severely undermanned. The guy looked like he was on the verge of crying in defeat and frustration. He also looked like a bit of a wimp in Gin's opinion. The guy couldn't have been older than sixteen or seventeen.

Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes as soon as hi saw Gin arrive. By the looks of her - armed to the teeth in almost the literal sense - she was obviously his back up. Gin could have sworn that he was holding back a relieved sob. "I'm so glad you're finally here!" He greeted Gin. "There's almost fifty of them a-and I was scared I was gonna turn into one of them, but you're finally here!" He rambled. Yep, he was definitely sobbing as he tried to wrap his arms around Gin. She simply sidestepped and dodged the lunge entirely.

She sighed loudly, her arms now crossed over her chest. "Look, kid, I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm here to get a job done," she said dryly. Th boy nodded and did his best to regain his composure, though he still seemed rather fidgety. "L-like I said, there's fifty of them - I counted. Several times. They're all contained in this one street and I'll do my best to try to not let any of them slip by while you do your job, ma'am!" He explained. Gin nodded and walked past the boy and into the street.

The place was a mess. There were people hoping everywhere, tearing into chocolate wrappers as well as the lawn and munching away. And was that...? Oh Jesus. They were... Oh god... literally taking the phrase... fucking like rabbits. This had gone too far. The genjutsu needed to be stopped before this resulted in something nobody wanted. The bunny people seemed to be minding their own business. The reports were right, this had gotten people from all age groups and genders. Gin pressed her forehead to the palm of her hand and once again sighed loudly. She grabbed the chocolate carrots that she was given and began to process of trying to force feed it to the people.

Gin held one of the children in place with one hand and the chocolate in the other. It had been a hassle to get him to sit still and to catch him in the first place. She forced his jaw open only to get her finger bitten - well, he tried to bite her finger and chipped a tooth as a result. Having high endurance was really a beautiful thing like that. The former Kazekage turned Sannin stuffed the chocolate into the kids's unwilling mouth. He then proceeded to munch on it before passing out like the other five people had before him. Apparently, that was a side effect of the chakra infused medicine. Gin wondered if it had been done deliberately. After all, having to stop to calm down each person that snapped out of the illusion and then explain what was happening would have been a hassle. Instead, Gin simply set them side by side along each other by the road. The cop kid could take care of getting them proper care after she was done. After all, she was only asked to stop the illusion, not take the victims of it to the hospital.

Gin would never step place in this village's hospital - or any other medical care center - if she could help it. And right now, she could. Therefore, these people would have to settle for sore backs and the bitter taste of dark chocolate in their mouths when they woke up. Gin went from one person to the next, repeating the process until there were only a handful. From the corner of her eye, she could have sworn that she spotted that damn Moon Rabbit, looking at her with prying eyes and an odd smirk. Gin had to talk herself out of chasing the damn animal. These people needed her help more than she needed to catch that thing and fix her wounded pride. Only a few more left, after all. She could try to follow the trail that the rabbit left behind afterwards.

Gin cracked her knuckles after she finished laying the last person on the ground next to the others. Her job was finally done. And the rabbit's trail had likely gone cold by now. That, or it had intentionally left a trail behind to lead her into a trap. Gin was beginning to doubt that this thing was a rabbit in the first place. Judging by what it was doing and its skilled use of chakra - not just anyone placed fifty people under a genjutsu so easily, after all - it was most likely a person using some sort of transformation to seem like a lowly and innocent looking animal. In any case, Gin would capture and likely kill the thing eventually.
