Shinji

D-rank
The air was damp and the weather was cool, Tetsuya stood outside his home, dribbling his basketball to pass the time. The wind was calm as it made as it made a minute level howl throughout the streets. The clouds began to become denser and the forecast predicted light showers, they couldn't have been more accurate. Tetsuya stopped his dribbling and grasped the ball holding it with two hands, the wind blew his hood from over his head and his hair began to wisp hand in hand with the breeze. The petite rain drops tickled his cheeks as his nose and cheeks turned a reddish hue. Tetsuya sat on his porch steps as the rain continued to dwell upon him, the lights on the streets began flickering on and off as if they wished to stay lit. Tetsuya sniffled as he stared down at his orange basketball, no matter what he did to the ball or with the ball, it never suffered any tear or deflation in any sorts. Tetsuya's eyes began to water as the cold air combined with the precipitation began to aggravate his allergies. Tetsuya stood up and slipped slightly onto the lower step, but regained his balance before he experienced a most embarrassing fall. Tetsuya corrected his posture, placed his ball to his right side using the back side of his forearm to hold it in place, opened the door to his home and proceeded inside for some hot chocolate.

Tetsuya entered his 2 story home; his father layed on the couch sleeping in an awkward position with the TV remote in one hand and a spoon in the other apparently he helped himself to a large serving of ice cream. Tetsuya thought of his dad as an odd ball say the least but he loved him anyway for everything he did for him. Tetsuya went upstairs to his room, not to large but not small either, the perfect size for someone his age. The room consisted of the basics and a few extras. Queen sized mattress, cloaked in red and black bed sheets partnering with a black blanket with red polka dots. A 32” Plasma screen tv a few video games that he rarely played, 2 bean bag chairs, a desk where he studied jutsu, and a closet. The closet was by far the most captivating, its contents included, 28 outfits color coordinated for all occasions one could think of, 13 pairs of shoes all of one brand (Jordan Retros 1-13) these shoes of course were white/black and red, and all of his ninja supplies mainly the basics.

Tetsuya began to change his clothes noticing a slight bang on the door then a metal clang by the mail slot. Tetsuya through on a black thermal, and over it a plain white t-shirt, black sweatpants with a wide stripe descending on the sides, and his Jordan Retro 13s. Tetsuya walked downstairs to check what was delivered by the mailman, who Tetsuya never even seen of all his 16 years living in his home. Tetsuya grabbed a hold of the letter addressed to him the letter, was a list of 4 tasks for him to complete and submit back to the Administrative Office within 5 days for a reward of 290 Ryo. The 1st task was to Convince a young shinobi by the name of Kiya Satoha to not leave the village, his sister would be able to provide more information. Tetsuya saw no problem with this task as it would be a piece of cake, as his dad liked to say. Before he left, Tetsuya wrote his dad a note so he would not worry where he ran off to.

Dad,

Received a letter today with a list of tasks to complete, will be home later.

~Tetsuya

Tetsuya arrived at the boy Kiyas' home and rang the doorbell to be welcomed by a very beautiful girl. The girl had rosy cheeks, stunning heart pounding red eyes, black hair that fell gracefully over her shoulders, and the voice of an angel with a body so well shaped. The girl was Kiyas' sister, Komai Satoha she was elegant and spoke to him very generously, ”You must be Tetsuya, the shinobi they sent to speak to my brother. Please come in, have a seat, make yourself at home I'll get you some hot chocolate.” Komai was very polite as he took a seat on their couch, and looked over the different pictures that line the walls most of the pictures were of Kamoi and Kiya, Kamoi must have been older than she looked, that was interesting. Tetsuya watched as Kamoi brought out a tray with two mugs of freshly made hot chocolate, the delicate aroma of cocoa filled the air in the room. Kamoi placed the tray on the coffee table, and handed him the porcelain mug. Tetsuya retrieved the mug from the girls hands as he thanked her while taking a quick glance at the hot chocolate, he noticed the whip cream as it began melting mixing in with the chocolate; it was like she knew what Tetsuya liked, or so he thought.

The two began discussing matters of her brother Kiya, he apparently had been having thoughts of leaving the village. Kamoi continued on explain how there parents died a few years back and how that also might be the cause of him wanting to leave the village. ”Kiya is very sensitive, and our parents death affected all... Kamoi began to quiver and tears began to roll down her cheeks, Tetsuya rubbed her back comforting her as he asked her, ”Where is Kiya now?” Tetsuya wiped her eyes as he held her soft face holding his arms around her, Kiya should be in his room upstairs, he hasn't come out all day. Tetsuya left her so she could pull herself together, he had to focus on the task at hand and had no time to be a comforter. Tetsuya walked up the stairs first thing he noticed was there were only 3 doors, one was the bathroom. That only left Kiya's room and Kamoi's room which was lucky for him. As he approached the snow white wooden door, in mid-motion of knocking he could hear something shut close. Tetsuya knocked with no answer, and opened the door and stood as he saw the window wide open. Tetsuya could see someone running down the street and immediately knew it was Kiya.

Tetsuya sped down the steps almost falling and rushed to tell Kamoi, ”Kiya is gone! Do you know any places that he may run off to?” Kamoi only knew of one location that Kiya might be, ”You could check the swimming pool! Hurry Tetsuya!”Tetsuya made haste as he sped down the street through the rain, as he thought to himself, Should have worn a hat...

Tetsuya arrived at the pool looked around for Kiya and could see someone squating over restng their head on their knees staring at the water. Tetsuya hoped it was Kiya, or it would be forever before he found him. ”KIYA!” Tetsuya called out as the figure turned its head, the boy looked no taller than Tetsuya as he approached him. Kiya stood up straight and asked him, ”Who are you?” As he also began walking forward, the boy had short black hair, and red eyes like his sister, except his eyes for some reason look dull. Yes like a faded red or pink, ”Im Tetsuya, your sister told me your were thinking about defecting.” Kiya got pissed off instantly after he said those words, ”She should stay out of my business.” Tetsuya was kinda shocked at Kiya's reaction, sure some siblings dont get along but it seemed Kiya down right hated her. Tetsuya and Kiya continued there conversation on why he and his sister haven't been getting along, and how leaving the village would be an extremely idea. Tetsuya even offered him to come over and play some basketball, when he isn't busy. The two were able to come up with an agreement and Kiya changed his mind and decided to stay, as well as work things out between his sister.

Tetsuya returned after walking with Kiya and was bush tired, his dad was still on the couch in another awkward position but apparently moved his dishes to the kitchen. Tetsuya smiled as he walked up the stairs to his room, and yawned before removing his damp clothes placing them in the hamper. Tetsuya was now only wearing his boxers, and preferred it like this when going to bed. He climbed into bed, bringing his covers over his body as he began to doze off, thinking about Kamoi.
