Kaekio threw her blankets off her bed in rage, and sat up suddenly, fuming. she was pissed at something, but had no idea what. She looked around the dark room and realized she was in her bedroom. "Uhh.... most of just been a dream" she said aloud. whatever she was pissed at, it was gone now. However, her feelings of anger remained, and she could tell that today was not going to be a good day for her at all. she swung her legs off of the bed, and stood up. she glanced at the clock to see what time she had been awoken. "Great... 3 in the morning... just lovely" she said out loud still with definite anger in her words. she got up and got a shower in, then she got dressed in her typical outfit, her head band around her neck, and he two black swords in their sheathe on her back. Then she she eat breakfast and headed out of the door around 5 A.M. And she turned to head directly out of the village. She was not in the mood to be around anyone today.

As she walked down the street, she took note that there was not many people up this early in the morning. Which was nice for her, at least she didn't have to take the roofs to avoid people. Suddenly a person appeared bowed next to her. Kaekio knew exactly what it was and what they were going to say even before they could even move their lips. "Ryuzoji Kaekio, Sanosuke has a mi-" Kaekio cut him off then and there. Her "sensei" hadn't taken 2 minutes out of his office to even come and say hi to his student since they got back from the exams. "Tell him i said fuck off." she declared, cutting off the Anbu agent from finishing his sentence. "But Sanosuke specifically said your talents wou-" Kaekio sighed very publicly for the ANBU agent to get the message. "Find Someone else... i am sure there is a squad of Genin, whom could easily replicate what i could produce solo. and again, i repeat. tell, him, I, said, fuck, off." the ANBU agent sighed slightly disappointed "yes ma'am." he said with disappointment in his voice, before he dissipated, probably to deliver her message to her Sensei, or to find someone else to cover the mission. what ever the case it wasn't her problem.

Kaekio arrived at the thunder grounds not long after, she drew both of her blade. She held them both in a reverse grip, and then sent Raiton chakra into her blades. then shouted "Aoi Yaiba!" as lightning began to arc all a crossed each of her blades. Then she dashed forwards towards a rather large boulder which she had selected as her target. she cut with both of her blades right before she would have smacked into the rock. The boulder that probably equal to her height and much much, wider, proceeded to shatter before her. this only did a little bit to relieve the anger she still felt from her dream. she would need to smash a lot more rocks before she might even come close to calming down, but there was a thought that ticked in the back of her mind. What had pissed her off that much?

"So that's what she said? I wonder what got her in such a fritz..."

"Hai Raikage-sama."

"Can you at least tell me where she was heading?"

"In the general direction of the Thunder Grounds...my lord."

"Ah excellent. I guess I should meet up with her in order to figure out what's wrong with her."

"One more thing Raikage-sama. Would you mind dropping your transformation technique?"

Sanosuke cocked his side to the head and wagged his paw away while chuckling. So many of his subordinates always look at him like this whenever he transforms into this state and when he does it for too long they will always ask him to shut it off. And each time he laughs them off until they bow and use the body flicker technique to leave from making themselves look foolish at giving their leader a suggestion. After all this was just done so that he can cope with being bored with all the paperwork and getting out without detection. With the messenger ninja away from his office it left Sanosuke now with his thoughts. Ever since he had gotten back from the village hidden in the waterfalls, paperwork had been stacked up to the ceiling. Thats what happened when he put them off just to watch the Chuunin exams. This was the first time he's heard of Kaekio being so angry at someone before. What could it have meant? Either way it was time to investigate.

"Come on Navi!" Sanosuke said simply as he leaped to the window and allowed chakra to roll of his fur. The yellow rings around his fur glowed slightly as chakra pulsed through them. It worked like a remote control as the bay windows of his office swung open right down the middle vertically. Navi let out a sigh as she flew and followed a black cat Sanosuke hop out of the window and landed on the pinnacles of the mountain that he was on and jumped down pinnacle to pinnacle to get to the main road. The two took off towards the Thunder Grounds where Kaekio would be. She probably was working off some steam, he'd soon find out what that was.

Getting there was not an easy feat at all because he was forced to dodge the lightning bolts coming from the sky. There were occasion lightning bolts that were headed towards his immediate vicinity. His reflexes were good enough to dodge them with ease, but it wasn't as fluid as he was in his human form. This will be the first time of Kaekio seeing Sanosuke in this state so maybe she won't snap at him while he was transformed like this. Finally he reached where Kaekio was and she was cutting boulders left and right in fury. He had to try his best to not whistle out too loudly or else it might give him away. Navi was in the back out of Kaekio's perception range, against her wishes, to see Sanosuke's stupid plan(in her opinion) in action. As soon as one of the boulders would break away Sanosuke stood in its way as the debris was heading his way. He could easily stop them from squishing him, but he wanted to get Kaekio to do it. After all there was no way she would ignore a cat that will be killed because Kaekio was throwing a temper tantrum. As the debris came closer, Sanosuke took in a deep breath and let out a skin crawling, and genuine screech of fear to get his student's attention.

BOOM!...

Another crumbled under kaekio's sword, the amount of rubble behind her was immense, and her attitude hadn't changed one bit. she was still pissed off. She was still so angry, and she still wanted to destroy everything in her path. in fact the violence was making her mood worse. she was getting angrier and angrier with every hit. she titled her head down slightly, giving a dark look at her next target. she crossed her arms as she held her swords in her reverse grip. Lightning arced a crossed her blade suddenly and violently. The ground around her cracked as she felt power surge through her, and then she dashed forwards, cutting and obliterating the bolder that had been 10 meters away from her less a second ago, but it didn't help. She only got more pissed. Kaekio gritted her teeth as Anger swelled in her, and her blade in effect screamed with Raiton, as lightning was arcing all over it. Chakra control was no longer something she held, as the air around her began to heat up as well. Her Kekkei genkai was perfectly in tune with the lightning around her, and she could feel it's power as well. her body was craving the power. the ability to decimite anything before it. Her mind was totally focused on the lightning that she didn't notice the small cat enter her range. She charged forwards again, the ground shattering beneath her when she dashed this time. She let out a scream as she slashed her blades, not only shattering one of the only remaining bolders in this area of the thunder grounds, but also completely shattering the ground beneath it. Debris was sent everywhere, and The sound of a pure squeal of terror, brought Kaekio back into senses and even calmed her down a bit. Her blades immediately went back to the way they normally looked when Kaekio was using Aoi Yaiba, and the heat around her stopped suddenly. kaekio turned around to face the sound and cut at the same time right above the animal. Her Blue blade slash cutting the debris right above the cave, completely shattering them and then little more than grains of sand hit the cat. Anger till held Kaekio's face as she still glared at the cat, but she still had calmed down enough. Well at least from her blind rage. she cancled her raiton tehcnique, and sheathed both of her blades on her back. She stood for a moment before she couldn't stand any longer, she let out a rather loud UGH and then began walking towards the exit to the thunder grounds. "I should probably figure out what Sano wanted" she said out loud to no one in particular as she walked past the black cat.

Although his persona himself was rather scared, inside he knew full well that he was safe. This was to gauge how Kaekio would react when her temper tantrum would suddenly endanger someone else's life. Was she really that angry that she didn't even care about a cat's life that could be killed? He didn't believe that at all. A blue flash of lightning came down and struck the large rock right in the middle and thus turning it to dust and small pebbles that hit the transformed Raikage's head. Even though they were small pebbles, he winced a bit as they clunked his noggin. Good she wasn't completely heartless. But seriously what was her deal? Sanosuke had never seen Kaekio this angry and worked up before? Maybe it was her time of the month? Just thinking about women like that gave him shivers down his spine as the transformed man felt several sweat drops form off the back of his head thinking of Gin on her own mentraul rage. He had thought those ribs would never heal. Kaekio glared at Sanosuke and caused him to pretend to be scared, but at the same time curious. Padding over to her, Sanosuke purred loudly and rubbed himself against her leg gratefully before scampering off behind a rock outside of Kaekio's perception range. She was still in his vision so that wasn't a problem.

Sanosuke saw as she was now on her way to meet him to find out why he had called her, but that wouldn't be needed. Navi just shook her head as the wasp knew that it was best just to let the kunoichi be until she herself was ready to talk. But Sanosuke had to know. Undoing the henge jutsu, Sanosuke let out a poof of smoke and adjusted his hat. Time for a show. The Raikage of Kumogakure no Sato walked out away from the boulder and towards the direction of his fuming student that looked as though she was close to exploding. "Sounds like someone went to town on these boulders. Don't tell me that these perverted rocks tried coping field on my precious student of mine." Sanosuke teased as he picked up one boulder and juggled them playfully. He wasn't a fan of direct confrontation, never was his strong suit.

Kaekio was walking towards the exit of the thunder grounds when she heard it. She heard that voice, and her anger still hadn't quite settled, and so when she heard his voice, anger swelled, although this time it wasn't rage. it was something different. it felt more like hatred. why hatred? why did she hate her sensei at this moment? did it have to do with her dream? his smart ass comment didn't help at all. her back was faced to him at this moment, and he was only aobut 10 meters away from her, she had gotten a lot keener since the exams. in fact she had improved in all aspects of being a shinobi since the last time her Sensei had seen her. her would get just how much she improved now. he would see her fire. that cheery and fun girl he saw in her was currently not home. She reached her hand upp behind her and grabbed one sword. It's black tint significantly different from the rusty swords she used before. Raiju, the thunder wolf. the legendary companion of the god of thunder himself, and the one her blade was named after. She knew navi must be around too, and if she happened to be in front of Kaekio, she would be noticing the dark grin on her face. She was breaking. The cute sweet innocent fun girl, was slowly being taken over. she slowly drew the blade out, and then once she had it out she pointed it towards the sky. "Can you feel it?" she asked her sensei, her voice no logner holding the cherriness that it once held, it felt dark but warm at the same time, although not from happiness, not the words felt like heat... like anger.

Her question was rhetorical. She knew he couldn't feel it. This sense that grew within her with each passing day. The storm felt alive to her, every tiny bit of electricity. The thunder that roared above. she could feel all of it. It's power. but there something else she was beginning to get a feel for. Nature it'self felt like it was calling to her. beckoning her on wards. There she felt it. a powerful strike aimed to strike about 10 meters in front of her. Kaekio inhaled deep and closed her eyes, flooding her lungs with Chakra. she knew what she was about to do, and she could feel the time to do it. Kaekio said the words "Can you feel power?" than as if perfectly timed (which it was) at the end of the last word lightning struck 10 meters in front of her, and as it did, she whipped around and charged sano with all of the speed she could muster, while simultaneously exhaling. a Fire of dragon charged forwards, at the time she was about 5 meters away, the dragon would reach it's target in under 1/7th of a second, and if Sano had been looking Kaekio's way he would also be momentarily blinded from the bright flash of light, after the Dragon she would reach him and aim for a Slash with her sword, the other one still sheathed in her back. Her slash aimed for his neck, aiming to hit the diagonal spot where the shoulder and the neck met together. Anger still surged through her, and the look in her bright blue eyes was violent, and hostile. she meant business, and this wouldn't be the same as their fight when she was genin. she had certainly grown in power, and her time as a shinobi certainly didn't help anything. what was going on with her? what was happening? this wasn't her at all. it was as if she was becoming someone different... something different... a being that was consumed by pure hatred, and it was being directed at everything. what in the hell was going on.

As he juggled the rocks playfully, Sanosuke took a quick look at Kaekio to access her. The cheerful girl she was before wasn't there, a sense of cold came to Sanosuke just by looking at her. Not enough to faze him, but definitely enough to have him check out his student once more. She was feeling off and he had no idea why. Was this killer intent, and did the girl even know that she was giving off this vibe? Sanosuke watched Kaekio reach for one of her blades, it certainly wasn't the ones that she had before hand. They were much more finer and actually cost money. Looks like the girl grew up and was looking to run with the wolves. She was getting stronger and stronger each time he saw her. It made Sanosuke wonder what limits this girl really had. Raising his eyebrow however was why she was taking so long holding her sword. Would she say anything else besides the very cryptic statement that came from her mouth? Lightning struck the ground with a large boom. Sanosuke had stopped juggling and was now looking at Kaekio with his hands behind his back generally curious.

Kaekio dashed at Sanosuke with speeds that nearly caught him off guard. But this girl would have to do much more than that in order to out react someone that fought toe to toe with the Shidai Raikage. Flames danced out of her lungs and towards him like a flame rocket aiming to turn Sanosuke into ashes just upon impact. Sanosuke let out a sigh as he snapped his fingers to turn his seemingly harmless signature gloves he has always worn into his battle gauntlets. It felt odd to have them once more on his body after not wearing them in combat since the Trial of Thunder. But it also felt good to have them on once more. Crossing his arms as the flame dragon approached the Raikage, Sanosuke let his gauntlets take the hit of the attack. His skin was tingling uncomfortably from the heat of the attack, but with one might heavy Sanosuke pulled his arms appart to completely negate the fire dragon of hitting its mark. Flames danced around the ground of Sanosuke proximity. Not even a single scorch mark touched his traditional kage robes. Even so he had to commend her. To think Kaekio was able to do something like this, guess there was a reason why she won the chuunin exams after all.

There wasn't much time for him to commend his student as he noticed Kaekio charge Sanosuke aiming for the part of the neck that connect his neck to his shoulder. She was charging pretty fast as well. If it wasn't for his sharp eyes and the fact that her smell was still very much getting stronger and stronger towards the area where she was attempting to strike him down from. His eyes were closed while she approached him to give her the impression that the blinding tactic worked. When she got close enough, Sanosuke moved quickly. How fast he moved was unlike the time he was holding back during their first spar. His left hand grabbed the girl by the wrist when she was close enough and twisted it painfully. There was enough force behind it to cause the girl to scream in pain should she not be prepared for it. Before the girl could react to having her hand literally broken in an instant, Sanosuke moved his other hands without missing a beat; as fast as lighting the Raikage back handed the kunoichi with enough force to give anyone a concussion. His grip on Kaekio's hand slackened to allow the girl to be sent towards a nearby boulder that wasn't destroyed by Kaekio during her freak out.

Sanosuke dusted his hands and returned his hands to his sleeves. This time he was glaring at Kaekio. She would sink so far as to sneak attack her own sensei? "Stand on your feet, now." He ordered his student as he took off his cloak to be wearing his shinobi attire underneath. She broke sparring rules with this sneak attack and Kaekio knew the traditions of sparring in Kumogakure: only do so when it is mutual and using the signs of traditional shinobi sparring. She broke that contract and now she was punished in the form of a parental backhand to the face. "If you wished to spar, then you should have followed the traditions. If you cannot even follow those directions, then I don't really feel like recognizing that power of yours you seem to proud of." Sanosuke said passively while doing his half of the tradition of sparring. His left eye was still closed while his right eye was open. If she did not comply to his request of them sparring traditionally, then Sanosuke will end this fit of Kaekio by knocking her out immediately.

She was moving too fast for her own good. her eyes could keep up but she couldn't change her course of action. the flames negated, Sano reacted faster than she remembered him as a genin. maybe he had been holding back then? he caught the girls wrist and twisted. Pain shot through-out kaekio as she let out a cry of pain. she was smacked back towards the rocks which had recently been the target for her anger. why? why had she done that? why had she even attacked him? he was her sensei. her raikage. she would lay down her life for him. she wouldn't let a single person lay a finger on him, unless they killed her first. he especially held a special place in her heart. without him she would be nothing. what was she even thinking? tears began to stream down kaekio's face. partially because of the pain, and partially because her emotions were overwhelming her. before he could even say anything she let out in between sobs "i-i'm s-sorry, sensei.. i-i don't know what came over me." she held her wrist and held both of her hands closer to her face. "i-i didn't mean to hurt you. no. i wouldn't hurt you. i-i'm so sorry" sincerity could be heard in her voice, but mixed in with it was confusion. indicating not even she knew why what she was doing. "Stand on your fe-" kaekio cut him off, and standing up and wrapping her arms around him in a hug. her tears falling down like a waterfall on her face. "I-im so sorry Sano-sensei" she burried her face in his clothes as she continued to cry. if he continued to talk to her she couldn't hear. her face was buried in his chest, and her sobs were all she could hear.

Sanosuke stood before her waiting for his student to come out from the rubble. He didn't know how long he was just standing there waiting for her to get back up, but as of now the Raiakge was prepared for anything that could possibly happen. Should she attack him once more without complying to his wishes, then Kaekio would regret her poorly thought out decision. It would take an instant but he will temporarily shatter Kaekio's mind forcefully using ninjutsu and not through the usage of genjutsu. It would lead to instantly knocking her out through the shock of the entry. Kaekio dashed out of the rubble quickly, her head was down so that Sanosuke couldn't see her eyes. What was the girl up to now? The sound of thunder crashed in the background as he watch Kaekio approach him in slow motion. He wondered what had come over the girl to have caused such a raging torrent of emotions in the girl.

What came next caught the dreadlocked man off guard. She was hugging him tightly while burying her face into his robes. Loud cries of apologies could be heard from Kaekio even while her face was completely muffled by his robes. Even louder sobbing could be heard while she continued to cried. Ever since he had met Kaekio she was such a sweet girl and a dedicated kunoichi. It seemed as though even she didn't know what had came over her. Sanosuke wrapped his hands around her body and held the girl in his arms while tapping the middle of her back to soothe her. The top of her head was closer to his chin from what he remembered. She had grown taller since he last saw her. His gauntlets fizzled out and became his normal black gloves that he wore normally when he went to stroke the back of her head. "It's okay little one. No matter what, you'll still be my precious student. Nothing will change that, I promise you this." Sanosuke cooed the girl, his voice sounding as smooth as silk as he spoke.

his shirt soaked up kaekio's tears as she continued to cry on for a few moments more. She then felt her hair being stroked, and she calmed down a little bit more, as she looked up to her sensei. the pain was still very apparent in her wrist, but that didn't concern her at the moment. She knew at this point that it was probably broken. Kaekio used her uninjured hand to wipe away some of the tears as Sano spoke. "It's okay little one. No matter what, you'll still be my precious student. Nothing will change that, I promise you this." kaekio could help but smile a little at this. even after the very blatant attack on her sensei that she had just committed, he still held a place for her in his heart. she needed to make up for this. she needed to be punished for this. she had committed a crime by all definitions, but she couldn't punish herself. so in sano wouldn't punish her she would punish herself. she would put herself through the most intense training she could think of. that way she could get stronger in order to protect her raikage, but it wouldn't be anything enjoyable for her, but what was the hardest training? kaekio's mind wandered what could she do to not only prove her loyalty to her sensei again, pay for her crime, and become stronger all in once? her eyes focused on her sensei. the legendary raikage, and the fabled sage. sage.... SAGE! Sage training! few ever went through it and even fewer survived. it was certainly a training which was known through-out the land. that would be it. she would become a sage. "S-sano sensei?" she asked, her voice still shaky with emotions, as she wiped tears from her eyes once more. "i want to become a sage." she said, her voice a tinsy bit more clear. "I-i've become stronger since the chunin exams, and i think i'm ready for it." her pleading eyes searched for the answer on her sensei's face. he would need to train her of course. well him or kenji (whom she had never met), but even so. he was the raikage first and foremost, and she wouldn't even dare take upon this training without his permission.

However, there was a little spark of determination inside of her as she began to think about it more and more. she could do it. She knew she could do it. even if it took the last breath out of her she could do it. she was strong, and intelligent as a shinobi. she won the chunin exams, and as such is one of the strongest shinobi of her age in the entirety of the land, and most importantly her own teacher was one of the strongest sages around. he for certain could teach her with ease, as he knew how she learned, and how she grew. he had raised her to her current ability, and she could think of know one better to teach her this. she could do it. she would do it. do it for herself, her sensei, and her lover. the memories of the blonde flashed in her mind, and kaekio's mood slowly began to raise. she would do this. she would become a sage, and then go and see her. Kaekio's heart longed for that sweet kiss again. for that comfortable embrace. they hadn't exactly left on good terms either.  kaekio had almost killed her in blind rage, and then was almost immediately thrown into the final round, and then after that, left takigakure altogether. Kaekio had promised to write her, but hadn't found the time yet, and that made it worse. she was sure nozomi hated her by now, but that didn't matter. After becoming a sage kaekio would prove how much she cared about the girl.

A sage huh? That was something that had Sanosuke think once more. He had only walked through 2 people in the arts of senjutsu; with the hopes of becoming a sage through the training. The people was his former student Toraika whom last he checked was still in the progress of completing her senjutsu training. It seemed as the swan senjutsu clan takes a long period of time when it came to training new sages, like how it took Sanosuke 2 years to become a wasp sage. The other person was his stepson Ren. Sanosuke himself couldn't tell if Ren's strength were amplified from being a sage without the wasp sage himself knowing of it, or the boy had just hit a threshold in his training that skyrocketed his powers. Either way, the braided hair man was proud indeed. But from what Kaekio wanted, it seemed like she wanted him specifically to learn about senjutsu. Sanosuke had to think, it would be one of the few times where he would teach someone how to be a sage.

"Hmm, a sage. That's pretty ambitious. Are you sure you want that responsibility on your plate?" Sanosuke said as he broke apart of Kaekio's embrace and strode over towards a separate part of the training grounds. He had his hands behind his back as he pondered the causes and effects if his student learning senjutsu. He needed more information. "If you'd like to know senjutsu, then you will have to..." Sanosuke turned around to face Kaekio now. A strike of lightning flooded their faces with bright light. Thunderous booming filled the sky to drawn out the audio of the last part of his sentence. But Sanosuke was sure Kaekio could read his lips. "Kill me." How would the girl react to this, Sanosuke didn't know.

The Raikage walked over to a large rock that was seeping with lightning, the lightning gave the rock a static blue look as is stood there like a steady light. "When you believe you have an answer to my proposal, and you've set your heart towards the decision tell me you have done so." The Raikage will now see the girl squirm in her own idealisms to find out an answer. Should she really kill for power? What were her reasons to being a sage; and were they valid reasons? Sanosuke would be meditating on the bolder mentioned before as Kaekio struggle with those truths.

"Hmm, a sage. That's pretty ambitious. Are you sure you want that responsibility on your plate?" Kaekio felt her sensei let go of the embrace. she knew the training was going to be rigorous, and intense, and there was a very good chance that she might die from it, but she knew that for the good of the village, and for the sake of her loved ones. she could do it. she would do it. she had already made up her mind. to protect her village and the people she loved, she needed to be become much stronger than she currently was. However, she knew that there was a reason that not everyone was a sage. this was most likely attributed to the hardships and trials that came with the training. But, kaekio was ready to take on the challenge. she was ready for the fight. "h-Hai, Sensei. if i can become a sage then i can stand up and protect the village, and the ones i love, just as you have done."

"If you'd like to know senjutsu, then you will have to..." Kaekio listened carefully hanging on every single one of his words. what would he say? what kind of conditions would he put? her questions would be awnsered shortly she knew this, but even the slight delay was killing her. Suddenly lightning struck around them drowning out all sounds, but kaekio could easily read sanosuke's lips."Kill me."

Kaekio watched as her sensei walked towards a rock still coursing with intense amount of electricity. her jaw wide up. "When you believe you have an answer to my proposal, and you've set your heart towards the decision tell me you have done so." Kaekio's heart raced quickened. she couldn't kill her own Raikage. Much less her sensei. the one person in the entire village besides maybe zetsume that actually cared for her. made her feel loved, and accomplished. the one person whom she had made proud, and thus proudly served. Sanosuke was the closest thing to a father that she had ever had. Kaekio collapsed to her knees. there was no way she could do it. Kaekio placed her hand on her face, as the confusion and mix of emotions swelled in her body. But she needed to protect nozomi. to have the ability to protect those she loved. to protect the village. No, the raikage could certainly protect the village better than she could, and so killing him would be fruitless in that aspect, but then that brings her back to nozomi. would the raikage stick his neck out on the line for a kirigakure ninja? or would he watch her die? kaekio couldn't take that chance. it wasn't even something she wished to think about. what about everyone else? Sure sano was kind hearted, but it wasn't his place to help anyone outside of his village. damn it. Kaekio needed this training, but she couldn't kill sano to get to it. after about 5 minutes or so of thinking and struggling kaekio finally stood up and walked over to her sensei. "Sano-Sensei. I'm dead set on recieving this training. However, not at the cost of you life. you are far too important to me, and to everyone else. You're life is not worth whatever power i may gain from becoming a sage." Kaekio said giving a bow. She would then wait respectfully for her Sensei's reply.

As he meditated on the rock, Sanosuke used the chakra in the very nature to assist him in levitation. It was a trick that he learned from Pathik long ago. It's achieved by first calming your mind and allowing the chakra in nature to link with your spirit. Your spirit should be focused on one thing and one thing only: transcending the ground itself. In order to have this iron resolve to levitate, there can't be any hesitation or doubt that might not be able to levitate. One must stick to their convections or else it will not work. That is the sort of mind that Kaekio must have. She must have the resolve of going through with her decision; whatever it is in order to learn senjutu. Once started, quitting will only mean incompleteness. If there's any doubt in Kaekio's mind about being a sage during her training, she won't be a complete sage. So if she has any doubts now, it would best for her to vocalize them. Sanosuke peeked his left eye open to see that Kaekio was in front of him with a troubled look on her face. However just by looking at into her eyes, there was something else in them: acceptance. "Yes?" Sanosuke said simply to indicate to the young kunoichi that he is ready to hear her answer.

"Sano-Sensei. I'm dead set on recieving this training. However, not at the cost of you life. you are far too important to me, and to everyone else. You're life is not worth whatever power i may gain from becoming a sage."

With her answer said, Sanosuke turned his back to Kaekio so he could look outward towards the thunderous skies. Each time lightning struck, it filled the skies with an array of lightened blues and yellows. It would be a few minutes before Sanosuke would speak. "You have passed the first test." Sanosuke announced to Kaekio allowed. Sanosuke would let the girl have time to soak in what he just. Knowing how alarmed she'd be, Sanosuke would listen to Kaekio before explaining. "To learn if you had what it takes to take the next step I had to see what makes you tick. Come now Kaekio, would you honestly believe that I'd teach someone who would voluntarily kill their master for power?" Sanosuke said while turning around completely so he was now facing Kaekio, a mischievous smile streaked across his face as he was getting a real kick out of how Kaekio's sign of vulnerability and his clever ruse. He also got off the boulder he was currently on to stand on both feet. With a snap of his fingers, Sanosuke transformed back into his feline form. "Then again, I couldn't have you answer 'no' immediately. Being a sage isn't for sissies you know." The Raikage's tail swayed back in forth as he was playfully looking at Kaekio to gauge her reaction.

"Either way, you have my permission to take the first step in becoming a sage. Your lesson will not begin here. Follow me, there's a cave nearby that will serve as the next stage of your training." Sanosuke moved his head in the direction of the cave. It's a few miles away from the village but it should be good enough for their training. "It'll only be the two of us. We wouldn't want anyone else hurt during your training." Sanosuke said before taking off towards that direction. Kaekio of course following him. At the same time however, Navi was closing in on Sanosuke and soon floating right above his head.

"You're not seriously going to teach her this soon, are you? And if it's the method I think you're going to use, she only has about an 11% chance of surviving." Navi said to Sanosuke through his mind.

And if she survives she'll be a powerful sage. Give her the same amount of training as I did, she'd be twice as strong as I was when I left the Wasp Village.

"At what cost?" That was the part that Sanouske was silent for...

Kaekio sat there nervously antcipating how her sensei would respond. she knew very well that this could be ruse. but he seemed to be serious in his tone when he broke the news to kaekio, and as of her most recent actions of trying to attack her sensei, she wouldn't be surprised is he really intended not to teach her. so she sat on the edge of her own sanity, waiting for what seemed like entirety for a response even though it was probably no more than a few seconds at most. during this time she could feel the thunder crackling and roaring above her. her clans sensory never turned off, and so being in the lightning country she got to feel the powerful strikes of thunder around her almost all the time."You have passed the first test." Kaekio heard sano announce. what did he mean? passed? test? kaekio was confused and it hadn't quite hit her what was going on "w-what do you mean?" she asked. she didn't know she was being tested. what was she being tested on? it wasn't until sano explained that she got the full picture. "To learn if you had what it takes to take the next step I had to see what makes you tick. Come now Kaekio, would you honestly believe that I'd teach someone who would voluntarily kill their master for power?" Kaekio stood there shocked. it had been a ruse. she watched as her sensei turned around with a cruel smile. a grin even. he knew it was going to press her in juts the right way, and he probably knew what she was going to say. "Then again, I couldn't have you answer 'no' immediately. Being a sage isn't for sissies you know." he said as he transformed into a cat. yup. that confirmed it. he knew exactly how that was going to affect her. anger bubbled up inside her "SANO!!" she shouted. though she knew she couldn't do anything. today had proved she had gained no ground on him at all. so she simply folded her arms and pouted. "Baka Sensei..." she said under her breathe as sano began to talk again."Either way, you have my permission to take the first step in becoming a sage. Your lesson will not begin here. Follow me, there's a cave nearby that will serve as the next stage of your training... It'll only be the two of us. We wouldn't want anyone else hurt during your training."  kaekio let out a sigh. this was it. she was going to complete sage training. tears almost began to form in her eyes as she followed her sensei to the cave. she could do it. she would be able to protect everyone she knew, regardless of the cost. the signature determined look in her eye showed again. the one she had displayed to her sensei on their very first day together.  the one she showed when they arrived at the chunin exams. the same one she showed before she went after ever mission. the same one that had never let her sensei down before. she would rather die than disappoint him. she could make him proud. she would. and there was no doubt in her mind about it. she would do this.

As the three finally reached the entrance of the cave, Sanosuke padded over towards it before Navi and Kaekio could join him. This would be where Kaekio begins her training, but at the same time this location could most likely be where she perishes and it would be because of him. Sanosuke felt his paws shift into the ground as he tried to resolve himself to go through with it. Kaekio wanted to learn this art of senjutsu and came to him of her own free will without needing to be persuaded. The very least he could do is respect her wishes. Without turning around, Sanosuke directed his voice towards Kaekio. "Remember those feelings that you had within yourself when you finally answered the proposition I suggested. It was not for nothing. You will remember everything that went through your head." Sanosuke said with the voice of astounding clarity and sense of seriousness that he rarely shows people like Kaekio. It was true that this type of training wasn't anything like Kaekio faced. Her very core will be tested, should she not succeeed she will die.

With that said, Sanosuke guided Kaekio deeper and deeper into the cave. There wasn't any source of light within the cave so the group were walking in pitch blackness the entire time with Navi being their only source of light. They walked on until they were well into the cave and there was an opening with plenty of space. Stalagmites stuck into the ground around them but there were few to many. However they were rather large. Stopping here, Sanosuke looked up at Kaekio so his eyes were piercing into hers. This would be her last chance. Secretly Sanosuke wished that she would back out now so they can go about this training in a safer manner, he didn't want to be responsible for killing one of his villagers. "I want to ask you one more time: Can you handle the hardship?" Sanosuke asked once. Knowing how stubborn Kaekio is and how dead set she is on training this much, Sanosuke knew that she wasn't going to back down now.

Allowing himself to transform back into his normal form, Sanosuke now stood towering over the kunoichi. She's grown so much since she was taken under his wing, and now she was trying to go on to the next level. Even though he was frightened at what could happen, the Raikage couldn't have been more prouder than his student right now. Now it was his turn to live up to Kaekio's resolve. Getting himself ready, Sanosuke brought his hands up to his chest and clapped them together. Steam began radiating off Sanosuke as more and more chakra was beginning to wrap around him like a blanket. He was glowing now with a hint of blue light that was most likely coming from the chakra he was summoning. "I am about to transfer something to you. A something that only someone truly worthy of being a sage can receive." With another shout, Sanosuke intensified the chakra that was gathering around him to the point that it the area around the cave lit up from the light radiating from Sanosuke. The area around them was revealed, there was a source of water as well from the sounds of the dripping.

When the light died down slightly, Sanosuke himself was no longer glowing with chakra. But between his hands was an orb of pure senjutsu chakra that was about 12 inches wide. The effort left Sanosuke panting with how much effort it was holding such a thing. It felt as though he ripped out half of his very essence with this, but he couldn't stop now that they've both came this far. The ball itself was radiating with so much senjutsu chakra that even Navi was uncomfortable with the amount of chakra that was in it. It felt like in between his hands was a nuke. "To be brutally honest, you shouldn't be ready for this for another 7 years of my training. Even if you came to me as a prodigal ninja." Sanosuke said loud enough for Kaekio to hear properly. His voice traveled through he cave, although the entrance of the cave wouldn't light up at all from the ball of chakra that Sanosuke was holding. Sanosuke's hair flowed in the air from the amount of pressure that it was close to. "This is the very essence of my strength. Pure, unadulterated senjutsu chakra. Nature itself!"

"For years, I have absorbed senjutsu chakra incorporating it into my own body. Energy from the spirit, body and nature itself concentrated into the smallest space. It is both part of and separate from me. And it's powerful enough to power Kumogakure for an entire month with ease." Sanosuke continued with his explanation of the test. "Your test is to incorporate this energy into your own body in order for your body to be one with nature. And hope it doesn't tear you apart. The agony of this absorption is beyond words. It can go on for hours, or days. If your body cannot handle it, then it will be eaten away from the inside out. And the only thing you will pray for is a quicker death." Sanosuke concluded explanation on that note. Looking at Kaekio to gauge her reaction.

"Kaekio, are you ready?" Sanosuke asked one more time.  With her answer, Sanosuke handed Kaekio the orb as though he was passing her a ball. The orb will then shift and slowly slide into Kaekio's body. From there on out it will be her trial.

They reached the entrance of the cave. her spine shivered as she looked at it. she was about to train in there? she didn't like the look of it. it was excessively dark. The electricity in her sensei's body was the warmest around her. just after the mouth of the cave she could see just far enough inside of it to see that it opened into a massive area. what were they going to do in there? spar? she wasn't her with her broken wrist from earlier that that was a good idea at all. although a simple spar between the two, at kaekio's level now, could certainly require that much space in order to prevent anything from coming into harms way. A big lightning bolt was about to strike the roof of the cave. Kaekio and the other entered before it did so.

One they were in the cave Sano in his rediculas cat form spoke. "Remember those feelings that you had within yourself when you finally answered the proposition I suggested. It was not for nothing. You will remember everything that went through your head." the seriousness in her sensei's sent yet another shiver down kaekio's spine. he never talked like that. he always tried to match her outgoing and upbeat personality, feed it even. all that did was scare her. perhaps he was hoping that she would back out of the deal, and just leave senjutsu alone? was it really that big of a deal. the blue haired girl thought for a moment. no. she had to have resolve. with everything sano told her, she need to have absolute doubt that this was what she was going to do. she needed to do this. that was the attitude she needed to have if she wanted to live. but was it really worth her life? just like she wagered her sensei's life over this training. should she be wagering her own? if she died here, how many people would die simply because she wasn't there to protect them. there possiblity was endless. but then another thought crossed her mind. how many people wouldn't she be able to save because she wasn't strong enough? this training could really make her better. it could give her limitless power.  the ability to save more people was priceless. even the possibility of her own life. that she was willing to gamble on. then nozomi crossed her mind. what if she were in trouble? what would kaekio do if she couldn't protect her because she was too weak? too small to take on the monster. her resolve hardened to absolute, and took a very physical change in her demeanor as well. that wasn't an option. "I remember those feelings well, and i shall bare them in mind. Thank you Sano-Sensei"

Once kaekio said that, they passed the small clearing that kaekio had seen from the opening. so it wasn't all she thought it was. they ventured further and further into the cave. the warm light of electricity marked kaekio's path as she closed her eyes and attempted to relax a little bit. she would need to calm down before attempting whatever lie before her. she couldn't falter in her resolve. that is what sano had told her. navi's light was bright, but she preferred electricity. it had been a constant ever since she was 12 and never faded. navi's light might fade, and that wasn't a risk she was going to take at the moment. so she simply followed sano's electrical signature with her eyes closed. he had faith in navi's light. Kaekio felt a change in the breeze and knew immedaitely they had entered a cave roughly the size of the one she thought the front one was. once they reached the entrance of said openning sano stopped and turned to kaekio. "I want to ask you one more time: Can you handle the hardship?" Kaekio giggled a little bit. she should know him better by now. when has she ever given up on something that she is dead set on receiving? she had always been that way ever since they met. besides. even after all of the thinking she did on the way to this room she was still absolutely resolved in seeing this training through to the end. even if it meant her dying, it could still happen. "Oh course Sano-sensei. I'm ready." she said her voice strong and determined and she gave him a hug. if she could die on this, she at least wanted him to know that she loved him. he mattered to her almost as much as she mattered to him. it just didn't seem like though due to how their relationship worked out some times, but it was true none the less. she let go of the hug and stood confidently before her sensei. "Alright lets get this over with shall we?" she didn't mean or it to sound like she intended to die. or was going to die. she meant the training, but it jut came out that way.

Te trio entered the center of the massive room in the cave, and sano turned into his normal self, a look of worry spread a crossed his face for a brief moment. so he was a little bit worried about her. that brought a smile to her face, but also worried her a little bit. he had said how dangerous this technique could be, but now it really got to kaekio seeing that look of worry on his face. she took in a deep breath and said internally "Think of all of the people you are going to be able to save with this. nozomi. hell even sano. your village. the growth this will hold is worth the risk. you have to do it. there is no going back." she stood confidently in front of sano as he clapped his hand together, and a massive power, a lot of chakra, was being formed in his hands, it produced a lot of light, but kaekio could at least tell that it wasn't raiton. then it hit her. that is Nature chakra. he just pulled the power that quickly from nature. she almost stood in awe. wait... was he going to hit her with it? and she had to block it, and continue until she could block it? that sounded dangerous, but that sounded like sano had a choice in if she died or not, the way sano made it sound, it was all on her shoulders. this entire deal was going to be 100% her. so that wasn't it. what was she going to be doing with that massive orb of light? she didn't know, and woudn't know until he told her. that was the truth of the situation. unless the task was to find out what he was doing and emulate it? that could be it. however kaekio had a feeling that her sensei would at least tell her what she needed to be doing. "I am about to transfer something to you. A something that only someone truly worthy of being a sage can receive." Kaekio stared at him wide eyed. so she was going to be taking that? just as she was starting to get uncomfortable with the idea, sano let out a shout and it grew in size again. it's power leaked through out the cave. it's light filling every crack and crevice, revealing all around it. it was definitely powerful. that kind of power looked like it might cause some serious damage. but how would she be taking it? it didn't make sense.

The light died down, and a foot long ball of pure, powerful chakra was held tightly in between sano's hands. it felt if he let go of it, it might just destroy all of them in here with ease. and she was suppose to be taking this? "To be brutally honest, you shouldn't be ready for this for another 7 years of my training. Even if you came to me as a prodigal ninja." that made her feel better. she was practically quivering in the sheer might of that ball's power. she felt like she might be blown away due to it's pressure. it was blinding, and powerful, and to be quite honest it was scary. this was scary. although he didn't say how she would be recieving this chakra. although she could see how this was different than any type of training she had ever been through before. normal trainign might have looked like trying to build up senjutsu over and over until she got it. but that was a common thing, trial and error. it's how almost everyone training anything. but this wasn't like that. you got one shot to get it right, and if you blew it, this thing could easily rend you a part. tear you into a million parts. kaekio was ready for this. she would can could prove to her sensei that she could do this. she was ready to be a sage.

"This is the very essence of my strength. Pure, unadulterated senjutsu chakra. Nature itself!... For years, I have absorbed senjutsu chakra incorporating it into my own body. Energy from the spirit, body and nature itself concentrated into the smallest space. It is both part of and separate from me. And it's powerful enough to power Kumogakure for an entire month with ease." she knew it had to be something a long those lines, she was in senjutsu training after all. so senjutsu chakra made sense. although she figured it could probably power kumogakure for a bit loner than a month... at least three. "Your test is to incorporate this energy into your own body in order for your body to be one with nature. And hope it doesn't tear you apart. The agony of this absorption is beyond words. It can go on for hours, or days. If your body cannot handle it, then it will be eaten away from the inside out. And the only thing you will pray for is a quicker death." so he was just going to be handing it off, and expecting her to absorb it. the idea was simple enough, but she understood all of it's measures and consequences enough now.  this would certainly be very dangerous, but she was sure she could do it.

"Kaekio, are you ready?" Sano asked one more time. she simply gave a nod, then he pushed the chakra into her stomach. and her trails began.

Part II

It tickled. kaekio's body tingled all over. kaekio's body tickled all over to the point she let out a giggle. was this really the massive pain that sano talked about? if this was all she had to endure this was going to be the easist training she ever had. maybe she had absorbed the chakra, and made it a part of her self already, and sano had sorely misjudged her. she giggled again, and all too sonn she asked "is this it?... man i could do this for yea-" he voice cut off of as if in responce the chakra took a violent turn. as if someone set a spark at an oil plant getting ready for it's biggest shipment ever, her body exploded into pain, and she let out a blood curdling scream that probably sent a shiver down sano's spin. it felt like someone, or something was tearing apart her entire body, molecule by molecule. she fell unto all fours and immediately began coughing up a crimson liquid. tears were immediately brought to her eyes. it was only the first few seconds of this training and she was already wishing for death. this pain was worse than death. no. she couldn't give up so easily. that wasn't going to happen. her muscles felt like they were completely ripped to hell, and like a fire was running rampage through her body, but she would do this. it took all of her strength to pull her legs forwards and push off of the ground, crying out in pain as she did so. she could do this. her mind screamed at her to fight it away to keep on pushing. her body wanted this extremity gone. and it felt like the senjutsu and her body were at war with each other, and she was the battle ground that both side were trampling on. she stood on her two feet, her arm with her break hand was limp, and her other arm gripped her stomach that she felt might just spill out of her at any moment, but was also the source of the most pain for her. like a tiny ball of spikes was just twirling around in there shredding everything around it, but she was up on her feet. a second wave of pain cursed through her causing her collapse again. the pain was immense, as she let out another cry of pain. it was not a cry for help however. she knew she couldn't do that. she knew that all too quickly sano might come and try to take this chakra out of her, and end the training, and she couldn't have that. she would see this through. she kept an image of nozomi in her mind. she would do this for her. she could do this for her. damn she missed that girl. kaekio let out a scream of anger, as lightning coursed through her hand as slammed her fist to the ground. she hadn't channel chakra into her hand? maybe it was the nature chakra looking to be released, and her affinty for raiton was an easy escape. although when she did it, screaming pain shot through her hand, and up her arm, as she feel over in pain and curled up into ball. the only sound audible from her was her crying.

she hurt. everywhere. it was a pain she couldn't explain to anyone. she wouldn't even wish this type of pain on her worst enemy. she just wanted to give up and lay down. which she was doing. she coughed twice more, each time bringing new blood. this chakra. is just kept eatting at her. it was slowly killing her, and for a moment she thought she might just let it. then she heard her sensei's words in her mind. telling her to remember the feelings she had when she told sano her proposal. he wasn't talking about her deisre to learn senjutsu. that wasn't going to carry her through this training. no one would desire this, and if that was going to be one's motive, they would quickly find that this wasn't for them, and move onto a different method. no, he was talking about that deep feeling of preserving those close to her at all costs. she felt a surge of strength, and after a few minutes of haaving been on the ground, she let out a scream and pushed herself onto her feet again. cuts from the chakra having eaten away at her were visible on her skin by now. as was the blood trickling from most of wounds. she placed her good hand her knew for support as she panted, and winced at the same time. her gut was still the origin of the most pain, and while the pain through the rest of her body was still immense, it was definitely the place where sano placed the chakra that hurt the most. kaekio let out another cry, a mix of anger and pain and motivation. she was going to push through this. she would accomplish this goal. she punched a stalagmite in front of her with all her strength. it felt like she was punching diamond, and pain ripped through her body once more. she fell over onto her knees and coughed up more blood. then as if on cue, her stomach exploded into more pain as she vomitted, a good portion of it being blood. the pain increased in her body, as she collapsed on the floor, luckily not landing in the massive puddle of blood. her vision began to fade as the pain became too much, and she passed out.

"Kaekio!" she heard sano's voice, as he shook her. she was still in pain. and the pain violent went through out her body, as she opened her eyes, although too her surprise she wasn't in the cave. she looked up at her sensei as she gripped her stomach. "good you're asleep. it's time for your first trail" she was confused. trail? his voice sounded different, and what did he mean asleep. that was an od way to put it. as she looked around, she realized she was in another cave, but not the one she was just in. the sound of rushing water was intense. suddenly she recognized the cave. it where she first met that ball of adorableness. she blushed a little bit. kaekio had grown a lot since this moment, but it was still where she met nozomi. she turned to the no-so-sano "W-why am i here? and who are you?" the being turned to her. although now it was a wolf. "so you figured me out eh?... well i am a spirit of nature. you are currently trying to become a sage yes?" kaekio nodded. "well i am here to make sure that you arn't going to abuse nature's chakra. you seem like you have good morals, and like a fine shinobi, but i have to be sure, do you understand?" kaekio nodded again. speaking hurt, hell nodding hurt. but that is what hurt the least. "S-so what am i doing here?" she asked again through gritted teeth. "You, my dear kaekio are here for your first trail." and with those words out of the wolf's mouth he vanished.

Screams were heard outside of the waterfall. they sounded like children's screams. kaekio mustered all the strength she had to stand up. pain coursing through her body, although this time it didn't get worse. she walked over to the waterfall, and it parted without her having to make an effort. that is when she saw it. Zetsume and Nozomi standing front of a bunch of children tied to a post. tears surfaced on kaekio. she wanted to run over to nozomi. her heart pounded, as blush surfaced. but then she game into full grasps of the scene. it was nozomi and zetsume whom had tied up the children. zetsume was pulling at arrow back in his bow, and was aiming it at the children. what's worse, kaekio recognized the children. they were all academy students. a dark grin appeared on zetsume's and nozomi's face, as zetsume said "This is what it's like to be  shinobi. you have to watch your closest friends die" and he let one fly.

the arrow pierced through the skull of the kid in the middle. he didn't even have time to react. however kaekio, and all of the kids screams were heard in unison. kaekio fell on her knees. the pain was still coursing through her body, but that wasn't what was on her mind. how could he do this? then Kaekio remembered. this is a test. a test of what?... the idea hit her, but it wasn't one she liked. a test to see if she could do the right thing, even if it meant killing the ones she loved dearly. tears surfaced in kaekio's eyes. it wasn't fair. all she wanted to do right now was hug and kiss nozomi. she didn't want to kill her. maybe she could stop them? kaekio bite her lip through the pain as she pushed herself up again. at the same time nozomi drew a kunai. no. no. no no no. kaekio stumbled trying to move faster. she began to get vocal. "no! Stop! Nozomi stop! please! don-" her voice was cut out children screaming as nozomi slit the throat of the next kid.

Some of the kids were crying. other were curled up in a ball with nothing but shock on their face. 2 children dead. 5 remained. kaekio hubbled closer. this was torturing her. she knew what she had to do, she just couldn't bring herself to do it. the pain still coursed through her body, but she wondered why it wasn't going at all? typically when she moved the pain sky rocketed. then she realized, as she wasn't getting more cuts either. her body must have been taken in the exact condition it was in when she passed out, meaning the pain would still persist. but it wouldn't grow stronger... or weaker. kaekio finally made it to the shoreline of the small lake where zetsume and nozomi were just as zetsume was preparing another arrow. "ZETSUME STOP!" she shouted as she built up just enough speed to tackle him unto the ground. he elbowed her in the gut, and pain exploded. so apparently aquiring new wounds still hurt. she coughed a lot but nothing came up. she rolled around as the pain all over her body stung and ate he. as she did so, Zetsume stood up, and fired. The children were so shocked at this point they didn't even scream. their faces all blank with fear... they were trying to accept death. 3 down, 4 remained. kaekio slowly stood up. judging by the pattern thus far, it was nozomi's turn to kill. she slowly walked in front of her girlfriend, with tears in her eyes and spread her arms. "Nozomi... please... listen to me. stop this! stop this right now. this... this isn't you. it's not like you. you wouldn't do this." nozomi walked fowards as if kaekio didn't even exist. her eyes were cold and murderous. Kaekio stood in the way blinking back tears. "babe... please" kaekio said trembling, partially from pain, and partially because this sucked. her own girlfriend was killing children and she had to stop her... she just couldn't bring herself to kill her. the way zetsume and nozomi were acting and moving they would be easy to take out. if only she could. Kaekio stood there in front of nozomi. separating her and the children. nozomi simply kept walking forwards. kaekio stood her ground as nozomi kept moving forwards. then a pain in her gut, exploded with the already massive amounts of pain there. she looked down to see nozomi had stabbed her.

Kaekio woke up suddenly, and looked around. she was back in the cave of the waterfall. she then heard a phantom voice of the wolf. "i know you were trying to do the right thing and save everyone involved so i'll give you a second chance on this test. but, this is the one time you get a second chance. keep that in mind." Kaekio sighed and grunted through the pain to sit up. she pushed herself up and unsheathed the sword on her back. she walked, slowly, through the waterfall, it opening it up as it did before. she spoke to herself internally "alright kaekio. you can do this. just follow through. don't think about it. remember. it's not really them. Nozomi and Zetsume wouldn't actually do that." the screams of the first kill briefly interrupted her thoughts. she kept walking unfazed. she knew what she needed to do, and there was no way around it. she knew that now. Nozomi drew her kunai, right as kaekio plunged her black sword straight through her chest. she pulled out, and then walked over to Zetsume, and sliced his neck twice. she then collapsed. exhausted from all of the movement she just. did. the wolf's voice surrounded her "Wow.... you managed to do that rather quickly, and without remorse. i'm impressed. seems like giving you a second chance was a good idea... i like you. i might just keep you"

Kaekio screamed in pain as she awoke again. the pain in her gut was moving again. it was alive again. that battle that was tearing her body apart had continued then she was out and now she was hurting more than ever. her shrill filled the silent cave, as she  picked herself up from her own pool of blood that she must have let out while she was out. she stood on her feet clutching her stomach as that ball of spikes was spinning again. her skin was tearing at and slicing in all different places, and it hurt. hurt more than she could put into words. how was she suppose to even do this? was there a trick to absorbing this chakra? was there some magical way to make this all go away? she needed to focus. she could do this. she would do this. for the sake of everyone around her, she needed to get past this. to master snnejutsu meaning she could be some of the legends that were sages. rumored to be unmatched in speed strength and sheer power. they drew power from the world around them, and that is something you can't take away from them. it was definitely a well sought after skill, and kaekio was being trained by one of the best teachers in the world on this. a master sage. her very own sensei. he wouldn't have put her through this trail if he didn't think they she wouldn't be able to handle it. sure he was worried, but that was because he cared. if he really didn't think that she could make it through this, then he would have not allowed her to proceed through it. that brought kaekio back to what her sensei had said earlier. she shouldn't be ready for this training for another seven years. seven years... that was a long time, and would have been filled with a lot of training. even as a prodigy he said shouldn't be ready. so what did that make her? a god? no kaekio wouldn't dare think of her self so highly. it's because she had something that most prodigies don't have, and might take someone seven years to teach. well at least this is what she thought. it was because she had the drive to protect the people she cared about. sure everyone has it a little bit, but it is needed to a much higher extreme to complete this task. this was part of her sensei's first initial test. he suspected she held the capability to do this, but he just had to be sure he could. what happened after that, with all of the questions he asked, she only guessed were just him concerned for her safety.  Him. her teacher. her mentor. the one who taught her since she graduated the academy. he cared about her a lot. she was beginning to realize this now. him. him and nozomi. those were the people that cared about her the most. those were the people that she needed to protect, with all she could. next in line was zetsume. whom had disappeared as of recently but that didn't matter, she still cared for him a great deal too, and she could tell that he cared for her. those three deserved her protection more than anything else. but she also held a duty to serve her village. more than just a duty. she cared for her village as well, and all of the people in it. she loved them, even if she didn't know most of them. she was young and inexperienced, but it was still her desire to serve and protect all of the people residing withing the village walls. even most in kumogakure in general that she wanted to protect. that is why she was carrying through this training. so that she could have the ability to take on whatever problems came there way, head on, and without fear.

Kaekio groaned in pain, but her recent thoughts carried and inspiriation in her that she didn't feel could be stopped. her body cried out for mercy, but she wouldn't give in. this chakra was hers. she would make it hers. when her body learned that, it might just make things easier for the both of them. the pain escalated as kaekio pushed herself to sit up right against a wall. coughing up more blood as she did so. she looked like a bloody mess, covered in blue black and red. slowly and agonizingly she unsheathed her sword and brought it before her eyes. her other black blade had been left outside. she would need to go retrieve it after this training got over... if this training got over. no. she had more resolve than that. this training would be over, and she would be a sage. kaekio flipped the blade around in her hand so she had a reverse grip on it and stabbed it into the ground. she got it a good ways in, and used it as leverage to stand up once more. she wasn't going to let this damn ball of light bring her down so easily. that ball of light was hers, and she was in control. not it. pain revenged through out her body as she moaned and groaned attempting to stand up. it felt like a virus of pain, and you didn't get used to it. it was alive a refreshed with every passing second. it was a new kind of pain at every moment, making it nearly impossible for the body to adjust. no not nearly impossible. it was impossible. but that wouldn't do her in. Kaekio finally stood on two legs. that blood mess that she was, was up... now to find sano. she took another step and the pain stepped it up once more. for the second time in a row, she couldn't handle and collapse. her vision fading quickly after that, as she lay next to her sword in the ground, her master no where in site.

"KAAEEEEKIOO" the voice shouted loudly in her ear. "KAEKIO!" the voice rang again. kaekio's eyes openned to see a pair of fangs in her face. she would have jumped if her body wasn't in so much pain. but the pain was in a stasis like mode again. which she knew what that meant by now. "What she glared at the wolf in front of her face." it was the first time she really got a good look at it. it was pure white, almost ghost looking, but definitely pretty, and it's eyes were bright red, like they were glowing. however she could feel the electrical signal pulsing within it's body. was this a real being? she gritted her teeth as she pushed her self up unto her hands and knees, the pain strong in her body. she could feel the wieght of both of her swords on her back. "it's time for your next test. and remember, this time no redo's. no fuck ups. you'll know what to do" kaekio sighed. what would she need both of her swords for? and how many of these damn tests did she have to take? wasn't it enough that she had to survive through the pain. or was this a part of surviving the pain? wait... would passing these tests allow her to control that devilish chakra running through her bones? maybe it would. maybe it's passing these tests that decides whether kaekio lives or dies. with that thought in mind she had a new determined look in her eye. she pushed through the pain to stand on both of her feet. her swords shook on her back. what where they even for? did she really need them? kaekio took a glance around. she was standing at the gate to kumogakure. she actually wasn't that far away from where her real body might actually be. she wondered if she walked that, if she could see it laying on the ground. helpless, exposed, and bloody. she shook her head "Stay focused kae. you arn't goign to like what you are about to do. probably hate it infact, but woman up and deal with it" that little pep talk she gave herself improved her drive to see this threw regardless of what it mean she had to do. and with that in mind, she stepped through the gates of kumogakure, pain coursing through her, but also anxiety about what was to come.

the first thing different about kumogakure that kaekio noticed was that it was all on fire. it looked like a war had been raged here. there were bodies littering the streets and rooftops. scattered weapons and signs that heavy battles took place in certain areas. it felt as though kaekio herself had taken place in this battle. her muscled ached from the fight she was carrying on internally. so. what was her mission here? what task was she trying to accomplish? what would test whether she was worthy or not of being a sage. kaekio was beginning to find that being a sage meant a lot more than just the power gained from it. it came with a lot responsibility and duty, and then you have to represent yourself in a positive way as more people tend to know of sages. then she say him. her own father sitting against a wall he hand in his lap he was all bloodied up and bruised and beaten. "good" was all kaekio could think and she almost walked away before she realized. his electricity was still pulsing. he was alive, and kaekio knew this was a test. he was her test. she had to help someone she hated. she should just let him die. let him rot there in his own filth and hope his death comes slow and painfully. but she knew she couldn't. she started to turn around when she heard was sounded like a foot hitting skin, and she realize there was other electrical signals in the area. she found someone kicking her father. it was a good thing her body prevented her from moving quickly because she probably would have gone over there and started helping him had she not had time to think. she let out a sigh. she needed to protect him too. she hated herself for this. she walked up behind the man kicking her father. "Hey!" she said loudly behind him as she drew both of her black swords. she stabbed one under the man's ribs, killing him almost instantly. then she walked over to her father. his wounds were severe. in fact he probably might not make it to the hospital, and forcing him to move might agonize him more. for that reason she almost wanted too. but now she could get her wish and know that she made the right decision. she placed both swords in an X shape on his neck, and chopped off his head. she smiled as she heard a growl behind her "The hell was that!?!" the wolf spirit said. "you were suppose to help him! not kill him!" kaekio turned around and glared at the wolf showing equal hostility. "his wounds were severe, and moving him would have made him hurt more than he already was. even if there was a sliver of a chance that kumogakure hospital was still functioning after this battle, and they had room for patients, and that he even made it there, he would be in so much pain he would be begging for death if he hadn't killed himself already. so i did the humane thing a put him out of his misery. sometimes the right thing can align with your own goals you know." the wolf... grinned? if that is what you could call that. "alright i see your point. you pass this test as well. you will have one final test after this one, so be prepared."

Kaekio woke with another scream. she was curled into a ball with her sword still stuck in the ground. one more test, and this entire thing would be over, and done with. that is all she needed. she knew what could make herself pass out, but with the pain still thrashing about in her body she didn't feel like moving. she had coughed up more blood while she was out and the pain only felt like is had grown. this was awful and she needed to end it now. not end her life. she had passed too many tests already. she had come too far to give up now. the pain she felt mad her want to give up, but she couldn't. wouldn't. kaekio tired to sit up but the pain caused her to vomit. her arm felt like it had been torn off, and so she tired to sit up with one arm instead. the pain felt like fire tearing away at her body. come on. just a little bit more. she pictured nozomi in her mind. she would get to see her after this. she could go to kiri after this and meet with her. she definitely deserved a break from all of this hard training that was for sure, and she definitely wanted out of the village a bit. so with nozomi in mind. kaekio used her sword to stand up, one more time. the pain made her scream out loud. then the thought crossed her mind. where was sano in all of this? was he just standing back watching his student slowly die? or did he go stand guard by the door because he couldn't bear to watch it any longer? well she would find out after she completed this final test. fter a series of more screams and more grueling pain, she finally got to standing on her feet. she knew movement caused the pain to grow inside of her, and she needed to be sure she passed out to get into that final test. so she built up all of her remaining strength, and jumped. looking onward it looked wierd because she didn't even jump very far. some might even assume her mind has already gone to hell and that the was no returning her. but she knew exactly what she was doing. the pain caused her to black out before she even hit the ground.

Drowning... kaekio was drowning. her body groaned, but the pain was in a stasis like before, and no longer felt alive. kaekio's body hated her as she fought for air. she swam upwards, and was quickly shoved against a rock. the pain burst through her body as she hit her spine. she tried to climb the rock, but couldn't it was useless. the wolf spirit didn't appear to tell her anything. she was on her own in the middle of the sea. this was certainly a difficult challenge but waht was she supposed to do? her body already was giving out on her, and she was suppose to swim? this seemed insane. kaekio let the water press her against the rocks as she used as minimal energy as possible to stay a float. think kaekio think. she searched around the area. maybe it was a test of endurance, and if she could last a certain time she would be set free. or maybe she needed to reach the land. however none of those fit the bill with what had been sort of theme. what is the opposite of what she wants right now? to drown. she doesn't want to drown. what kind of message was she suppose to be getting from this? that when things get rough she just needs to end it all. if it's too hard give up? no that doesn't seem right. but that is the only thing that she could think of. this was going to be hard. all of the other tests required her to kill someone else. none of them required her to kill herself. she figured it would be best not to take a deep breathe as she dove down. the swords on her back where enough to wieght her down, to where she didn't have to work to keep herself underwater. then she breathed out all of the air in lungs, and waited. this was the worst death imaginable. to sit here and suffer like this, but her body was tired anyways. it didn't feel like moving. she wanted to give up, and so she let her body have it's way. it felt nice to give up for the moment. her body struggled a little bit when it couldn't breathe but eventually she passed out.

Kaekio almost immediately woke up, and was at peace. her body felt fine. she looked down and smiled. she had done it! she had absorbed the chakra. before her eyes the wolf appeared. "good. you have finished your first step in training. while i merely an illusion caused from anture chakra, similar to genjutsu, i am a very real being. and seeing your strength and courage has inspired me to ask you to come train with me and my pack in kirigakure. we will be expecting you soon, Omega." kaekio stood up. so. the next part of her training was going to be with wolves huh? well. being a wolf sage didn't sound too bad. Kaekio stood up and winced a little bit, her cuts and torn muscles still hurt, but they were nothign compared to the pain she had just been feeling. "Sano! Sano! i did it." she said locating her sensei. "i absorbed your chakra!... so now i'm a sage right? well... i know i still need to traing with animals and everything, but i have that covered. while i was in pain, i had an illusion that a white wolf wanted to meet me in kirigakure. he said that he was able to contact me through the massive amounts of nature chakra i had just taken in." kaekio let out a sigh and hugged her sensei. "well with your premission i would like to travel to kirigakure to complete my training as a Wolf Sage." she said. Kaekio would then wait for an answer. once sano gave his awnser she would hug him again and say "well i've had enough for today eh?... i think i'm gonna head home and sleep" she said giggling. she didn't even want to talk about what she just went through. she would then head out of the cave. having remembered her way in the dark before. then once she was out of the cave, she would collect her sword which was luckily still at the thunder grounds. then she would head home.
