It had been a little while now since Aiden began fleeing from his captors and from slavery once again, this time there wasn't a crowd or anyone or anything else that could ensure him some time to flee from these monsters, just a road before him and locked buildings on both the left and right sides. A small storm of sand was kicking up, not one of lethal and blinding proportions, but one that was more than enough to make things harder to see in, not to mention one that also slowed Aiden down as well. The grains pelting his rags and skin, creating and uncomfortable feeling that was merely intensified as a few snuck in between his neck and his collar, making his already irritated and damaged skin even worse and causing some small trickles of blood to drip out, appearing under the leather collar. It hurt, oh it hurt, but not nearly as much as if he gets captured again. He couldn't do it, he couldn't spend one more day with that man. He would sooner die than let that happen.

He felt the skin under his feet begin to hurt as it cracked open, and his adrenaline was wearing off, meaning that it wouldn't be long before he would have to stop to take some breaths. He had to find a place to take a small break, somewhere he can hide and rest so he wouldn't wear himself out just yet and also to hopefully lose the trail of his persisted. It would seem that small window of opportunity would be now for him, as an open window appeared to his right. Jumping through it, he would land on his right arm, bruising it slightly. Due to it being merely a bruise though, Aiden chose to ignore it and instead quickly scrambled behind a few crates, hiding from his captors while attempting to catch his breath. "Damnit! Where is he?" He could here one of his perusers yell as their voices looked closer to him. He held his breath and stop all movement that he was making, becoming stiffer than a statue.

He was terrified. Terrified of getting caught, terrified of the consequences of such, and terrified of having to live his life as a captive once more. He was just.. Terrified. Being born into this life, he already knew that those his master hired throughout the years didn't give less of a damn if Aiden is alive or dead, and will usually go out of their way to make that point. He was fortunate though in the fact that there were a few that did feel pity for him and taught him how to speak among a few other things, though they were quickly and forcibly "removed" upon his master's learning about this, but it was too late. As soon as Aiden learned how to speak and a little bit of the outside world, he wanted to be gone, and soon.

From atop the dusty, sand blanketed rooftops Hayato gazed down upon the streets below. They were empty, not surprising given the strong winds kicking up. These weren’t exactly ideal conditions for a casual stroll about town. Only those with urgent business or those who were largely unphased by the blustering winds and rough conditions were going to be out and about at this time. It was this reasoning that made the presence of a small boy trekking through the streets all the more noticeable. The condition the boy was in would be picked up immediately by the Sabaku’s hawk like eyes. It wouldn’t take a scholar to immediately recognize something being off about the boy’s condition. He looked worn out and unkept, his feet bare and his body draped in tattered rags. The color fitted snugly around his neck made Hayato’s mind rush to a conclusion that he hesitated to say aloud. The picture became even more clear as he climbed through a random window, followed by the brutish voices of men seemingly looking for someone.

Hayato would remain silent atop the roof until the men passed by, seemingly unaware of the boy’s move through the window, before swinging down into the same room when the coast was clear. Scanning the room for a moment he would notice that the boy was nowhere to be seen amongst all of the crates in the storage room. It seemed as if the boy had gone into hiding at the sound of the men who had passed by. Hayato made no effort to mask his movements, allowing his footsteps to ring loudly through the room. If the boy was still in there he would have to come out at some point as Hayato made his way through the room. All he hoped was that the boy didn’t jump to the assumption that he was among the men looking for him outside.

Aiden let out a silent sigh of relief as he heard the guards' voices begin to fade away, an indication that they didn't see where he went and that he had lost them once more. For once in a long time he actually felt safe, which was rather funny considering that he's hiding out behind a few crates within an empty room during a minor sandstorm, but he guessed that it beats being a caged plaything of the monster that he's been confined with his entire life. He was at the point where he could laugh from the relief he's having now that he escaped them once more, laugh out the remainder of the stress and adrenaline he had, and feel elated for his own freedom.

The feeling would soon escape his body and leave behind an air of tension and a feeling of panic as the navy-haired boy heard some footsteps from within. 'No no no no no no no no no!' His thoughts screamed out within his panicking mind. He was once more a mouse converse by cats, though this time there is no way for him to escape and no way for him to get help either. His mind raced to find out a solution to this problem he was faced with, and he felt that the wrong move could cost him his very life. His intense blue eyes looked around the room as he stopped moving completely, and soon enough they spotted two different things that he could use to his advantage and hopefully give him enough of an opening so he could get away. The first being a wooden board appearing to be half a foot wide and two feet long resting out in the open approximately three feet away from Aiden and the other being a mirror that was a mere two feet away from him, reflecting the image of the crates and the wall on the other side of the room.

He wondered as to how he would get the board, though it would be near instantly that he would get an idea. The room was indeed dimly lit, enough so that his tail should be able to get the board and bring it back to Aiden with it, if it was even seen, appearing to just be a harmless snake. It seemed like a good idea at the time for him, and so he would do it. Slowly creeping out of his hiding place, the tail would curve and slither along slowly, stopping just and inch or so away from the board before it would raise the tip off of the ground and onto the object. After this was done, Aiden then had his extra limb turn around and return in the same fashion as before, dragging the board along with it. Now with the wooden object in hand, it was time to begin phase two of the plan.

Grasping the wooden object tightly in both hands, Aiden would close his eyes and silently breathe out, making sure his breaths weren't too loud as to be heard. Next would be the reckless part of his idea, as he would suddenly jump out of hiding, moving towards the mirror where he would bring the object back and then swing it forwards in a curving motion, the glass from the mirror shattering into minuscule shards while a few pieces remained long and jagged upon the mirror itself. Dragging his feet along the glass-ridden ground in a way so the the bottom would get riddled with the shards, Aiden would turn around and throw the board at the stranger while snarling at him. He would then in the confusion he hopefully created take off his ragged shirt, wrapping it around his right hand before he would grab one of the glass shards and stand there, the sharp object facing towards the stranger in a threatening manner.

"Like Hell I'm going to let you take me back so easily!"

He yelled out as he stood there, ready to lash out at this stranger.
