The sun had arisen and it was a warm day in Konoha and it citizens were going about their daily routines.  Shopkeepers attempted to call out to the potential customers, in a competition about who had the lower prices and better specials.  Children ran around in the streets playing tag, hide & seek, and other games they enjoyed playing to past the time.  Rinshi awoke earlier that day for his daily exercise and was just about to finish up, ending with the usual 300 handstand push-ups.  Rinshi was working hard, as each drop of sweat, rolling from his chin to the floor.  Rinshi squinted as the sweat got into his eyes and started to burn.  Rinshi arms began to bulge as his muscles gained more definition but remained thin, his snow-white hair hanging straight down touching the floor after every rep.  Rinshi wore his usual exercise attire, white baggy pants with a black sash around the waist, his Konohagakure headband tied around his forehead.

”Two hundred ninety-seven...ugh...two hundred... ninety-eight...two hundred...ninety-nine...COME ON...THREE HUNDRED!”  Rinshi fell onto his back, breathing heavily he tried to bring himself to his feet.  Removing his headband he wiped the sweat from his forehead, and shook his head rapidly side to side to release the sweat from his hair.  ”Ah, that was a good workout.”  Rinshi stepped into his bathroom, staring at himself in the mirror his face glazed with sweat, his faded-purple coloured eyes gave off a look that could look deep into ones soul, his thinly arched white eyebrows perfectly done, his snow-white hair draped to his neck.  Rinshi stepped over into the shower stripping off his clothes before he turned on the hot water, scolding himself a little he quickly turned the cold water on.  The showerhead releasing the water warm water, that made Rinshi’s body glisten.  The water gave him a vibrant feel as he began to cleanse himself from the odour he received from his workout.

After his daily maintenance Rinshi got dressed in a more formal manner than usual, a black t-shirt, a royal blue blazer made with kevlar, royal blue trousers, and black patent leather dress shoes.  First impressions were everything, and at least leaving a visual presence would be nice.  Earlier in the week he got ahold of their information, and sent out a letter to each of them.  Unlike most Genin they appeared to have much potential by their grades in the academy, like a lot of those in among their rank they each had two affinities to elements and two standout skills.  They all shared his Raiton affinity, though he did not posses many Raiton techniques.  Rinshi walked into a small shop searching for black ink, after giving up the shopkeeper presented a small bottle of black ink.  Rinshi took the ink and placed his money on the counter it was permanent ink, what he had been searching for all morning.  When he exited the shop he went into his pocket for his watch, it was half past noon.  Rinshi was late but he was sure his students wouldn't mind.

Walking towards the direction of his home to retrieve his book, he wondered if they were getting to know each other.  Hopefully they would get along with one another, he thought to himself opening his front door.  Grabbing his book from the end table in the living room and went back outside.  Locking his door, he walked in the direction of the market district where he would meet his students outside of a restraunt.  Rinshi turned the corner after traveling three blocks south and looked to find three figures, who paid no mind to his prescence.  Maybe he would just observe them watching to see if they would converse, or build some sort of chemistry with one another. Rinshi looked at his book, turning the page to the first page propping himself against a street lamp. Lets see...Chapter One...

Rice…chicken…fish…meat…and…”Hey, where did the vegetables go?” muttered Masaaki as he looked at the empty bowl that used to contain freshly cooked vegetables. He rubbed the back of his head, baffled. He was sure he made enough not to run out on the forth home packed bento he’s making for the afternoon for his kin.

Dressed in his casual clothes, the sunlight rays that peeked through the blinds of the window casted an orange glow in the room. With a huff the Uchiha boy moved to the fridge to take out another bag of green vegetables. A bento isn’t a bento without at least one vegetable.

“Masa-chan, what cha making?” asked Amelia. His youngest sister who tugged on the sleeve of his arm to grab her deaf brother’s attention. Masaaki’s focus was momentarily interrupted as he shifted his oak brown gaze to his little sister, ten years old and has been a genin for some four years now. “Traditional Bentos, someone need to feed you lot while I’ll be gone for most of the afternoon.” He answered as he cooked the vegetables before placing them in the last bento he was making. Today is the day where he will meet his squad. If only his mother was here to see her youngest son officially join the ranks of Konoha nin. It was just a year ago he joined the academy after ages of feeling like the misfit amongst his clan. He still feels that way now but he it only serves to drive him forward to proving himself.

He rushed off to get ready, he isn’t too fussed about what he wears so he just threw on his usual casual attire that consists of a black netted top with a red and white hooded t-shirt complete with his signature crimson scarf. He placed on his arm warmers and his generic black shinobi trousers. To complete his get up he picked up his rings to wear for today, a silver ornate ring that used to belong to his mother. The ring itself bears two wolves with black emerald eyes and crowns of laurel on their heads, the wolves meet each other through a ring of silver plum blossoms. He almost forgot about the most important piece of all, his forehead protector. He swept back his ashen-white hair and put on his forehead protector.

He finally settled on his attire and headed out, but before he did he grabbed his sensei’s letter and made sure to wave goodbye to Amelia and told her there’s five more bentos on the table in case he isn’t back before noon. After all, out of the entire family he’s the only one who can cook a decent meal.

He reached his destination quickly only to his disappointment he’s the first one there. Is he too early? Probably. Oh well, nothing for it but to wait and see who would show up next. He leaned against the wall of the restaurant and folded his arms, kept watch and waited. Unbeknownst him then, his wait will be longer than he thought.

He reached his destination quickly only to his disappointment he’s the first one there. Is he too early? Probably.

Ryuu woke up bright and early. That was a lie. Ryuu couldn't sleep so when everybody finally woke up early in the morning he was already awake making breakfast. Today everybody in his family was at home. For that Ryuu was glad because that meant they would be celebrating his first meeting with his squad and celebration meant candy. But he was getting ahead of himself.
He had his usual morning debate on whether he should eat ham or chicken. He chose both and he friend them both, grabbed two slices of bread and slapped some butter on it. To finish it off he drank some pomegranate juice. His breakfast finished, he went and had a nice long bubble bath with lots of purple bubbles and after he put on his usual attire. He was almost ready. But he needed his essentials.
He grabbed his backpack and started stuffing it with the necessary items. Shinies, chicken and ham slices, bottles of juice and water, candy and other less important things like a flashlight. He was prepared for anything and everything. He then made his way to the living room to pick up Mr. Whiskers and Kai only to find it crowded with his family members. They all had on pajamas and grins on their faces. He rolled his eyes at them but he grinned back. They had come to see him off...and they had presents. Ryuu cheered and after collecting bags of candy and shinies to share with his squad members and numerous advice on how to seem respectable or some such, he left with Mr. Whiskers and Kai.

On his way to the market place he couldn't help but wonder who his team mates were and if they would be nice. Were they male or female? Were they older or younger than him? Would they like Mr. Whiskers and Kai or would they hate them? His voiced his thoughts out loud as he was starting to get a little nervous but he was told by Kai to kindly shut up and that he would see in a couple minutes. He smiled at her. She always knew what to say to make him feel better and he went right back to his happy demeanour.

By the time he had reached his destination, Ryuu was bouncing and twitching in excitement. He looked around and found that there was already someone there and he grinned and waved. The person, a boy, had brown eyes and white hair and Ryuu's smile grew larger. He had white hair. How exciting! He wondered if the boy would give him some strands. Ryuu opened his mouth to say hello but noticed something that he had forgotten. He quickly opened Mr. Whiskers and took out his forehead protector and tied it to Mr. Whiskers. Then he took out a bag of candy and a white shiny and held it out to the white haired boy (who he shall now refer to as Whitey because Ryuu didn't know his name). It wasn't a diamond though because they didn't have a close enough relationship for that yet.
"Hi! I'm Ryuu and here you go. That's for being my team member and the gem is a Goshenite. Nice to meet you."

Not shortly after his arrival fifteen minutes passed, and he had completed three chapters of his book.  Luring his eyes away from his book, the two boys in his squad had finally arrived.  Where was the girl?  As it was they had no time to lose she would be disciplined later, in the mean time he would introduce himself.  Closing his book shut with one hand he ran his fingers through the strands of his white hair, before approaching the two.  The first boy who was of his greatest interest was the Uchiha, his name was Masaaki.  White hair, but one thing allured him the most he had no sight.  How could one born of the Uchiha not have sight, it was just like it would be for a Hyuga.  Still and all a ninjas skill is what makes them who they are, not their bloodline.

The second boy attracted a different kind of attention, he had cat ears.  Yes cat ears that actually move, and allow him to hear though he would contemplate this later.  He carried a teddy bear and was accompanied by a cat, the boy wore a white shirt with a vest over it, a pair of shorts, gloves on his hands.  The main color of his wardrobe seemed to consist of dark purple.  Though he was not surprised he'd seen weirder things in this world.

Though it still puzzled him where the third member was, he was interested in her more than anything.  For quite awhile he had an interest in the Kumori clan and their use of ink, being one of the reasons he purchased the jar of black ink earlier.  The Kumori was a girl named Aimi, in her files she was described as a trouble maker and a bit stubborn.  Good grades all around, just a bad attitude.  One way or the other, that could easily be adjusted.  The four of them were like a family, he really would hope for her to keep the two boys in line.  After all, girls are better peacekeepers than males.  Moving on, he no longer had time to wait.

He approached the two boys and sat at a table near them making sure they noticed, he cleared his throat before speaking.  "Hello my students.  Ryuujin, Ninneko.  Masaaki, Uchiha.  It is sad that the third has not arrived Aimi, Kumori.  Hmm no matter if you two don't know who I am thats why we are here, I am Rinshi Hyuga.  You may refer to me as Rinshi Sensei or just simply Sensei."  He thought about what he said but, it was voiced a bit too formal.  Well there are no returns on spoken words, and thus what is done is done.  He took the ink he purchased earlier and placed it on the table, he had a gift for the two of them one that would make them better down the line.

OOC: Masaaki is deaf, not blind xP but I’ll roll with it! And sorry for the wait, I had hoped Aimi would be able to reply.

Even though he didn’t show it on his face, nervousness plagued him like a migraine. As a matter of fact he does have a migraine. Even though he have had friends in the past, but never a team. What if they don’t get along? What if they don’t click and what if they just don’t like him? It isn’t just his progress that could be hindered by a team’s lack of communication, but the whole of the team as well.

So many what ifs, so many variables.

‘I should stop worrying’ pondered the boy as he continued to lean against the wall and watch the moving crowd, there’s no point fretting about it now. He’s here now. Soon the second member to show up made his appearance, a seemly young boy with purple hair to go with violet eyes accompanied by a fluffy white cat. His worries were minimised as soon as Ryuu flashed a smile, but Masaaki isn’t that naïve. He was still guarded and unsure.

He was a little taken by the sudden friendliness of Ryuu, a bag of candy? He isn’t really a sweet tooth but...he reached in any way to grab a mini marshmallow. To add to the strangeness of the boy, Ryuu offered him a white gem. Since it would be rude to refuse it he took it without, even though he felt it was a little too much but he kept his lips sealed. It’s a person choice of what he gives to others. “Thank you, I like the candy.” Said Masaaki as he chewed on the marshmallow, and he wasn’t kidding. He really did like the taste, probably the only candy he’s fond of actually come to think of it.
“I’m Uchiha Masaaki, you can call me Masa if you want though.” said the boy as he introduced himself to the other male. So far Ryuu seemed like a good sort, but he’ll have to see if he’s right or not. At least he has a nice smile.

He gestured for the two to head inside, Sensei and the third member knows they will be eating here so they might as well grab a table instead of waiting longer to be seated. It wasn’t long after meeting Ryuu that Rinshi appeared, immediately introducing himself to the two boys. Masaaki observed him, his hair, his mannerisms; he had a formal relaxed demeanour about him. Since he can’t hear his sensei’s voice, a formal tone was no worry for him, but face expressions were.

He shifted his gaze back to Ryuujin ‘So he’s Ninneko Ryujinn.’ Masaaki’s cobalt eyes turned back to Rinshi ‘and a Hyuga and a Kumori.’ He smiled sounds like they are a good team in the making. “It’s nice to meet you Rinshi-Sensei.” He would’ve laughed at being able to call someone his teacher, but he didn’t laugh because he didn’t want to come across as moronic. He isn’t an idiot, he’s just happy that he finally made this far. Years of begging his father to let him go to the academy and graduate as a shinobi finally meant something.

Ryuujin cooed at his team mate's wariness. He was being so adorable. Clearly he had been hurt by someone but now that Ryuu was here he would take care of him. He beamed at Whitey. Whitey was very polite too and he didn't even try to give back the gem because he felt it was too valuable. Clearly this team mate didn't need Ryuu's special friendship training. Ryuu approved. Beside him, Kai rolled her eyes but she decided not to interrupt. Mr. Whiskers on the other hand only stared.

Ryuu made a mental note that his team mate liked marshmallows. He wondered if Whitey liked it because it was white like his hair. Eventually Whitey introduced himself and Ryuu was sort of glad because he really didn't want to continue calling him Whitey and now he had finally met his first Uchiha. Ryuu did a little jig in his head. Better yet, Masa didn't seem arrogant and Ryuu wondered why. Perhaps he had skipped his arrogance training classes that the Uchihas regularly held. Well whatever the reason was Ryuu was glad because that meant they were one step closer to having the perfect team.
Masa gestured for them to head inside and Ryuu nodded. As Ryuu made his way to a table he paused. 'Is it just me or does he sound a bit slurred?' Now Ryuu was curious. Of course there were so many questions Ryuu wanted to ask his team mate but this seemed like a good way to start.

While Ryuu was thinking of a way to ask the question subtly their Sensei appeared. Ryuu stared at him. The man seemed rather formal, especially if he was to compare him to his family but Ryuu shrugged. It was different from what he was used to but nice he supposed.
He then opened up Mr. Whiskers and dug into him for a black gem. He held out the gem and a bag of candy for his Sensei.
"Nice to meet you Sensei. The gem is a processed Jet Lignite." Ryuu beamed.
Next to him Kai gave a little cough. Ryuu turned to her and stared, bewildered, before realizing what she wanted.
"Oh yeah! This is my partner Kai and this is Mr. Whiskers." Mr. Whiskers waved to Rinshi Sensei and Masa and Kai nodded.

Ryuu still wanted to know about why Masa sounded slurred and so decided to ask before they could go any further into the meeting. It would, after all, be better to get rid of any subjects that could cause awkwardness early on but he needed to do it with subtlety.
"This might be a bit personal but since we are team mates let's all talk about some common-ish knowledge about ourselves. I have cat ears and Sensei had purple eyes. What about you Masa? You talk funny. Why?"
Yes very subtle. Ryuu felt so proud of himself and he smiled smugly to himself. Kai snorted.
"Subtle my cute, furry ass." Kai muttered under her breathe. Ryuu heard her comment but ignored her. Kai gave an exasperated sigh but she still refused to interrupt though a part of her hoped that the white haired boy or his Sensei would at least slap some sense, and subtlety, into him.

Aimi twisted and turned in her bed, struggling to attain some sort of rest. She has been having so many sleeping issues lately that signs of it were beginning to show; nightmares she couldn’t remember or sleeping on for a couple hours at most and being painfully half awake the next. Though of course it wasn’t anything a little bit of makeup couldn’t fix. Aimi was never big on makeup, finding it rather annoying and worthless to learn. Her views differed immensely with most of her clan members and other female peers. She just did get it, at all really. There was so much useless work that had to go into it; you had to find stuff that matches your color scheme, budget, mood, and clothing. You had to make sure it wouldn’t get you sick or completely ruin your skin. And then there was the debate about technique? There was no technique. Of course those within in her clan who were interested in cosmetology and lived civilian lifestyles begged to differed; arguing that what they did was art and there face was merely a canvas. Yes Aimi would admit it did look nice but it was still a way of time and energy.

However for now she couldn’t complain since it was the only way not to make a fuss of things. She never did like it when something was wrong with her, whether it was a minor thing or an absolutely serious issue. It left a sour taste in her mouth and wounded her pride a bit.

Aimi continued to roll around on her bed until the sun peeking through the cabin’s curtains. She fumbled with her hand, putting it in front of the light in an attempt to drive it away to no avail and as a result, fell off the bed onto the ground head first. Fuck. The pain was enough to make her fully awake and with hazy vision that only to moments to clear, she untangled herself from the confining bed sheets and blankets. She stretched her back and rested her head on the palm of her left hand which was propped up on her left thigh before she hoisted herself  up from the cold floor and left her bedroom.

She went to her closet and picked out some clothes before heading off to the bathroom. There she brushed her teeth, did her what she needed to do, showered, and got dressed. She decided to dress in more casual clothes since her usual ones were dirty except her sweater but it was too hot today or at least from what she could tell since one of her windows were open. Aimi pulled a white t-shirt over her and a blue mesh vest. Her hands were already gloved and her piercings were in…so what was she forgetting. For a moment Aimi glanced at the clock and her eyes widen at the time. She was late or at least will be! Not by much but damnit!

She scrambled to get on her black shorts and sandals on before heading out the door of her cabin, but not forgetting her bag filled with her stuff including her forehead protector that she as she entered the village gates was tied loosely around her neck until she stopped for a moment. Why the hell would she care if she was late? She was pretty sure that by the time she got there, barely a thing would’ve happened. And besides, her history with teams was shitty anyway.

So she continued on her way, grabbing a coffee while she did so and by the time she got there it was already finished. She presumed the people ahead were her team but she wasn’t quite sure till she saw one of the male’s clothes had a Hyuuga symbol. All she knew was that her sensei was a Hyuuga and they were at the meeting point…eh might as well. Walking up to them she called out “Yo you guys wouldn’t happen to be my new team right?” Aimi gave them the once over but didn’t recognize anyone till she look at the guy with purple hair and cat ears….wait a minute. “Oh shit Ryuujin, you’re a part of my team? Damn I didn’t see that coming. What’s up?” Aimi completely ignored the other two, unaware of what they were discussing before her late arrival.

Rinshi sat idle as he let his students settle down at their table, he first observed his most handicapped student.  Maasaki or Masa as he wished to be referenced by.  The boy spoke with a slur and quickly traced his mind, he seemed to have misread the boys medical file.  He was deaf...not blind not much of a factor but fortunately he knew sign language, as for his other two students he was not sure.  It really wouldn't be an issue after all he was there teacher, he could get them to learn sign language.  Whether they liked it or not, they would learn to grow together.  Rinshi signed to Massaki welcoming him to his squad, and he wished to help him progress as a Shinobi and a young man.

Signing to Masaaki with his hands, he asked him if he could share information of him being deaf.  Ryuujin was his grave concern, despite his skills he had room for a lot of growth.  His mentality was equal to that of almost a small child.  Rinshi would have to direct him more than the others, but Aimi would be their 'babysitter' whether she wanted or not.  Throwing his hand into the air, beckoning to a nearby waitress to place an order.  Rinshi looking over Ryuujins' shoulder he saw the waitress approaching their table, wearing a particular blue mesh vest and eccentric pink hair.  The hair was all to familiar, he traced back through his mind.

A manila folder with Kumori, Aimi labeled in the top right corner.  A slender girl, stunning pink hair tied in a ponytail with bangs.  Rounded oval indigo eyes, light seemingly pale skin.  It was in fact his most promising, yet troublesome student.  Aimi, Kumori.  Grabbing the ink from the table he removed its lid and out of view, he wanted to see the Kumoris ink technique in action.

The girl seemed to lack respect for her superiors, then again Rinshi was the same growing up.  Addressing Ryuujin before she addressed him, and also interrupting Masaaki before he could answer to Rinshi.  "So nice of you to join us Aimi.  I am Rinshi Hyuga and hopefully your tardiness will not be a recurring issue.  I am glad that you and Ryuujin are familiar with one another, its good that you two are current acquaintances.  Ryuujin to answer your question, Masaaki is deaf meaning he has loss his sense of hearing.  Now please you all pull up a chair, but Aimi I must ask a favor of you..."  Rinshi removing the ink from under the table, threw the ink at her hoping to see her abilities.  If she didn't well it would be quite awkward for the rest of the day, especially since her shirt was right.  If she had a special finesse she would return the ink back into the jar, if not she would splash it on the back of the nearby waitresses blouse

He observed the interaction between Ryuujin and Rinshi with reserved curiosity and bafflement. Another gem? Is this Ryuujin’s particular way of making new friends? He wasn’t sure but he suspects it might be a family thing. Masa’s way of introducing himself is Bentos, he would’ve brought some for everyone on the team but thought it would seem pointless to considering they’re sitting in a restaurant. He’ll bring some next time instead when they’re out on a field on a mission or training.

He was reading the menu before he lifted his eyes back to the two to see Ryuujin is trying to catch his attention, while he didn’t catch the first part of the sentence he caught the last bit which honestly, made Masa’s heart sank. “…” he didn’t reply to Ryuu’s question, didn’t get a chance to before the third member of their team finally made her appearance.

And boy, did she seem pretty. And apparently knows Ryuujin judging her sudden keen attention to Ryuujin.

He directed his piecing gaze to Rinshi, he knew that prolonged stares at someone can unnerve them, and make them wonder if there’s something wrong with their face. To his surprise the man began to sign to him, immediately Masaaki felt self-conscious but in a round-about-way, he felt like he mattered enough for the man to go to the trouble to signing to him. But it wasn’t what Masaaki wanted, while he can appreciate Ryuujin’s directness and his sensei’s warm welcome, he didn’t want to force the whole team to learn sign language on his behalf. It isn’t as simple as walking.

So with fisted knuckles the boy stood up fast enough to make the salt and pepper shake, with determination he looked Rinshi in the eye just in time for the waitress to come over. “Rinshi Sensei. I thank you for the welcome and your promise to guide me and I appreciate your efforts to sign but…” he was blushing now, unusually nervous. It was not often that he stood up for himself “But I have no desire to be the ‘deaf shinobi’.” Spoke Masaaki, his voice unwavering “I self-taught myself to lip-read complex sentences, and believe me that really comes in handy in battles! I learned to talk good enough that my speech is just as almost as good as a hearing person so…!” there was defiance in those clear brown eyes of his, determined to be seen as an equal on the team and not to be pampered to, he came this far on his own! Toiled through many years of hardship to get into the academy, and he is still learning how to be a deaf ninja “One of my aims is to develop good speech, to get rid of the slur in my voice so I won’t be underestimated so…” his eyes were still on Rinshi, the trait of perseverance clear “Please don’t sign. Except in emergencies.” And then he beamed “And I’ll teach you guys some sign language!” and then he looked at Ryuujin “Ryuu, Rinshi-sensei is correct. I am severely hearing impaired, so I really appreciate your directness, although you could do with some more subtlety heheh.”

Masaaki is a hard worker; it requires a lot of effort on his part to lip-read. It means he had to work harder, to intercept different lip patterns because most words have similar lip patterns such as ‘dog’ or ‘bog’, it means he had to fill in the gaps of sentences he missed based on the context and that sort of thing isn’t easy, it can be incredibly tiring so that’s why Masaaki wants to discourage the use of sign language so he can learn to manage situations without sign language and eventually form the bonds to need to reach his goals.

It began to dawn on Masaaki the little display he showed drew the attention of the restaurant, and the waitress was staring at him. There was a light shade of pink on the genin’s face, and a silly grin to go with it. “S-sorry I’ll emm…sit down.” And he did, he sank back into his seat with his head held high. And then, as if nothing happened he handed over his menu to the waitress and pointed to number 8: Sashimi, raw fish with soy sauce and number 11: A meat dish of Yakitori, skewed grilled chicken pieces seasoned with sauce.

Clearly Masaaki loves his food. And maybe later he’ll ask his Sensei if the team can have some Sake if the afternoon goes well.

Ryuujin perched forward in his seat, eagerly anticipating Masa's answer. For a minute he thought that Masa's face fell but he quickly dismissed the thought. Unfortunately, before he could answer, someone interrupted. Ryuu pouted and cursed the interloper in his mind. Turning around quickly to give the person a piece of his mind until he got a good look at the person. He beamed.

"Pinkie! How wondrous it is to see you. If I didn't know better I would think you're stalking me."
Ryuu was so happy. Though he was sure that this team could work it was sort of relieving that one of his team members was someone who he was familiar with..even if she did mistake him for a girl once. He regained his pout and was about to work himself into a fit before he was interrupted by his Sensei's voice.

Ryuu fell silent at hearing the reason why Masa's voice sounded funny. Masa was deaf. Masa was born without the only sense that Ryuu treasured beyond all else. Immediately Ryuu tried to imagine how it would have been like for him if it had been him..but couldn't. He supposed if he had been born that way it wouldn't have mattered much since one couldn't miss what they hadn't experienced but still the thought of losing his most precious sense had tears springing to his eyes. This also would explain Masa's earlier wariness. Humans could be really mean at anything that was different and being deaf was really, really different. Everybody probably saw him as really weak as well. Maybe Masa was abused as well. Ryuu sniffled, discreetly rubbed his eyes with his arm and tried to compose himself, completely missing Rinshi Sensei's signing to Masa. He, however, certainly didn't miss the following speech.

He had the overwhelming urge to clap and shout "Bravo!" and he promptly did so. He, after all, wasn't one to contain his urges. Now that he thought about it. It was quite admirable that Masa, as a deaf person, taught himself how to speak and to read lips. Also wasn't Masa an Uchiha. From what he knew of them they wouldn't have been accepting of him being born that way. So not only did Masa have to work around his deafness but he also had to stand up to the disparaging remarks that were sent his way. That was so awesome. He still wouldn't want to be him though because that would mean extra work.

Ryuu could see the moment Masa realized he was being stared at. He blushed such a pretty pink, though not as pretty as Aimi's hair. And speaking of pink...
"Here you go Aimi. You're one special bag of candy."
He dug into Mr. Whiskers once more for a bag of candy which, coincidentally, was a pink bag with different types of pink candy. How fortunate.

Turning to hand it to Aimi, he stopped and stared at what he had just seen. He blinked, rubbed his eyes and blinked some more. Yes. Yes, he had just seen his Sensei throw a bottle of ink at his teammate. The teammate with the anger issues. Ryuu beamed. This was just like family. And to think he had been worried about team dynamics. He subtly borrowed some of Masa's food so he could eat and enjoy the entertainment his Sensei had so kindly provided.

As Aimi waited for Ryuujin's response her eyes went back to the day they met in Takigakure that the chuunin exams have been held. She wondered if she will bother to head back to the neutral village and had a feeling she might. While she was there, she had received a note with oddly precise instructions about the information of her clan's compound. She was woken up at two in the morning, a sense of dread and uneasiness in her heart. She felt like she had a nightmare again but couldn't quite remember it and it unnerved her. She could only remember bits and pieces really but usually they had some of the same elements.

She was alone in a casino, wearing a silk dark blue dress with a pair of black leather gloves; a poker table being the only illuminated thing in the room along with some dealer who never spoke and just shuffled some cards, his face shadowed but the grin out for all the world...or rather her to see. She never did like that dealer or rather any dealer to be exact; they were lying manipulative cheating bastard...but who isn't these days. A deck of cards were all about as if they was a game recently. There was the heart, diamond, club and...spade. For some reason the spade stood out more than anything as it glowed a sapphire blue on the card. Then as she narrowed her eyes, trying to decipher its meaning but to no avail until suddenly the cards shuffled themselves. As they are doing so they are playing clips, memories from another time and place but she had no recollection of them. They seemed familiar but were too faded to be sure. With a hand she'd reach out only for a thick ink to surface and muddled its content. It didn't take long for her to realize the ink turned into blood. So when she woke up, feeling someone's breath down her neck she went into a bit of panic. It alarmed her even more to find a coltsfoot beside her pillow attached to a plain white piece of paper. She didn't understand what to do with it or further more why as she inspected it front and back finding nothing useful. With a pause she added some chakra to it and viola, writing appeared. A few hours later she left a note for Mure to say she was going to be gone for awhile and to enjoy the rest of the vacation. At the end of it she found some old necklace with her clan's symbol engraved into beside some urn in a forgotten part of her clan's compound.

Once Ryuujin answered, Aimi couldn't help but smirk as she folded her arms over her chest and leaned back a bit "If I was stalking you you would know that nothing pleasant comes out it Ryu." And then it was her sensei who spoke. Ugh that word sensei left a bitter taste in her mouth. She never liked taking orders from anyone, regardless of rank until they prove their worth to her but with her history, all her former senseis didn't do shit. They were oppressive, loud, and weak; a total waste of life. Why the fuck would she need them? She may not be as smart as a Nara or as slick as a snake but she could make a decent plan that will get her out of anything and still complete the mission. All they did was criticize, examine while leaving so many forsaken holes and act like they are top dog when they're nothing more than sniveling swine. She had to bite her tongue numerous time through her sensei's speech to not make a snide remark. And people say I have an attitude she though bitterly. Who fucking throws ink at people (her)? Am I a fucking circus act? Yes I can manipulate ink happy you fucking pale eyed freak! Is what she would've said however she simply manipulated the ink, making it float in the air as she turned the into five spheres and twirled them around her hand and then grabbed a chair from another table, and sat on it, her arm across it as it was facing backwards instead of how it is usually.

God is it an election today? What's with all the damn speeches? We're ninja not fancy shamcy politicians.  Despite thinking this, Aimi felt the urge to clap a bit. It seemed like someone was actually thinking about pulling his weight instead of feeling the need to be coddled. Besides it was funny to see him so worked up.....perhaps......perhaps she will tolerate this team...for now. Taking the bag of candy Ryuujin handed her, giving him a thankful glance to show her appreciation, and she grinned at Masaaki. "Well isn't someone a preacher. You should do it for often. I hear the Jashinists in Kiri love their little sessions. Oh and I know a deaf person when I see one, have to babysit one sometimes" Aimi thought back to her cousin Kaori. Kaori was born deaf along with a mental disability. She watched her sometimes. At first she was an annoying pest er is one today just not as badly but eventually came to like her; even went so far as to learn how to sign though it wasn't by any means perfect as most of it was kinda broken.

Slightly startled by the outburst from Masaaki, he would abide by his wishes he had every right to be treated like everyone else.  He knew how it felt to be excluded and seem like a burden to others, he felt the exact same way when he was a Genin.  Taking a look at the wall clock to the right of their position, it was almost time for them all to leave.  It was apparent that they were getting tired of his formal tone, and in honesty he was also.  "Alright you three, once you finish your food we'll head out.  We have things to accomplish that are very important."  Rinshi planned to beat around his students to see if they would even manage in a fight, it had been quite awhile since he was in any form of combat.  Would be a nice warm up...

Rinshi snickered at Aimi's parlor trick turning the previously thrown ink into black orbs, revolving above the palm of her hand.

OOC: Sorry you guys I didn't think it was fair to hold the thread but just RP my character if you want.  Until I return from my hiatus...Go to the roof of the restaurant and that is when all three of us will fight.
