When he chosen to take this task, he had assumed it would be at a normal restaurant, perhaps a fast-food place would be far more preferable, all due to one small detail. But, seeing as how he never went over the full description of the posted job, he had put himself in this position with no way to back out of it. Well, there was a way for him to escape this entire thing, but his sense of duty, however influential it be, dictated that he go and complete the task he had chosen to take on. These kinds of things in his younger life he would’ve balked at doing, he knew he needed money, and the only way to get any funds was to do these miniscule tasks for the time being.  Besides, maybe there would be some benefits to being a waiter at a family diner, as he had visited this one on many occasions. While dubbed as a family restaurant, he knew families weren’t the only ones to frequent the place, as people came with groups of friends at a time, thus an idea popped in to mind before it disappeared after a mere second. That wasn’t under his control, nor was it his priority, but if it happened, he’d take the opportunity. For now, he needed to get ready, no matter how much he disliked wearing such attire; he needed to do so for the job.

In the bathroom of his apartment, clad in solely his black dress pants and a towel draped across his shoulders for the time being, Seiryū’s current objective was to comb his hair, the hair which he usually let to settle back in a fashion that is became more natural for his hair to curl that way over time. Today, he wouldn’t change much of his usually style – when it came to his hair – as he would push it back like always, though he’d have to set his bangs out of the way, as it would be fitting of being a waiter.  Several moments he spent looking in the mirror, staring at his reflection and analysing his wet tresses. He preferred not to do this, but it was a part of the description, though it could hold some assistance when it came to getting tips, the bread and butter of being a waiter or waitress. And anything else that came along with it would be welcome as well. Taking his natural-bristle brush, grasping it in his right hand, Seiryū slowly raised it to his hair, still contemplating on ignoring the request to look dapper. In the end, he relinquished the urge and went with styling himself in a proper way. Gently, with the brush in hand, he went about combing his tresses back, not putting much pressure on them to sit down, as the way his hair would fall would look elegant enough. Once his hairs were in place, his regular styling with the lack of bangs, he stuffed the comb back in the drawer he originally took it out of and left through the door that led to the small hallway and turned in to the next door to enter his bedroom, where his clothes were laid out on the bed. The uniform that he had been told to wear was simple, as the items he already owned; just rarely ever wore. With already half the uniform on, Seiryū sat on the edge of the bed to grab the black dress socks he would wear, though those would be covered up by the polished black dress shoes that had never seen the light of day for as long as he could remember. After he had put on his socks, Seiryū fumbled his hand around the bed, grabbing his white dress shirt by the arm and instantly draping it over his shoulders. The shirt part had been vague in the description, but knowing the semi-formality of the restaurant, the shirt would be enough and there was no need for a tie of any sorts. As he buttoned up the shirt, leaving only the top most button undone, Seiryū got to his feet, attempting to slide his shoes on while fixing his shirt. The only matter that would be left at hand would be tucking in his shirt, which he did with hasty motions as he walked towards the door of his apartment that would lead him out.

The path from his apartment that would lead him to the main street of Sunagakure no Sato was completely uneventful. With the wandering civilians going about their daily tasks, the sun still high in the sky, indicating was only just the afternoon; roughly 2:00 pm, Seiryū avoided unnecessary contact with the people in his path, all the while attempting to keep on the solid path of sandstone as not to get too dirty before he even reached the restaurant where he would be working for the evening. Getting on to the main street wasn’t too difficult, as the side streets had much less civilian traffic than the main road, as everything anyone truly needed would be located along the main street. The wind was currently absent, leaving Seiryū’s clothing unruffled as he continued making his way to the restaurant where he would serve. From what he could recall of the specifics of said restaurant, the name was far too generic for him to truly care about, yet he had been a customer at the restaurant a few times. It wasn’t one he was a regular at, but it was a choice of his when he preferred something else aside from his usual meals.

Weaving in and out of the crowd, Seiryū was successfully able to make it along the main street without much of a hassle, saving himself a lot of time, which he pretty much needed to do to get to the restaurant at an appropriate time. There was always the route of taking the rooftops, but considering the current situation, it definitely was not the optimal route for Seiryū to take, as he’d likely ruffle his clothes on the way. While, usually, he would not mind one bit at dishevelled clothing, he knew his employer for the day would, as appearances were everything in the catering business; specifically for the waiters and waitresses. Roughly ten more minutes had ticked by, as Seiryū saw the restaurants sign in the distance. It would take him a few more seconds to reach the destination, on time, and begin getting ready to do his job for the day.

It had only just started and he was already growing bored of the job, yet he had to perform adequately to earn his pay. Money that he need significantly for the time being as he had been slacking for the past few weeks when it came to taking random jobs in order to pay his rent for the month. Seiryū had a polite smile on his face as he made his way around the tables to one for the tables he was designated to. The manager of the restaurant, a gaudy middle aged woman, had taken in to the account that this wasn’t his particular line of work thus giving him very few assignments to do over the night, yet still enough not to raise any questions from the other workers. Balancing the tray that held the food proved to be difficult and simple at the exact same time. While maintaining steadiness was simple enough for Seiryū, the entire situation was different here, what he had been taught applied minimally, but he could manage with the resources available to himself. Everyone who came today had either been a family or a couple, nothing that involved people whom were single. The families had consisted of both parents and young children, while the couples were far too ‘lovey-dovey’ for Seiryū’s taste. The restaurant did have a more homely atmosphere, so it had raised some curiosity on his part why couples would come here, but he didn’t question it any further.

After having delivered the meal to the table he was making his way to, Seiryū had another table to tend to. Delivering the food ordered by the family of five, Seiryū asked if they needed anything else, when the response had been a negative, he made his way to the new table he would need to wait. When he could glance at the table, he noticed it was uniquely different than the tables he tended to earlier in the day; this would be the last table as his shift would be reaching an end eventually. This table consisted of mere teenagers, likely just a bit younger than himself, containing a total of 6 people, half male and the other half females. While he would entertain some ideas, Seiryū was growing tired as time ticked by, thus he wouldn’t bother making a ‘pass’ at one of the female customers, though he somehow had a feeling the manager of the restaurant would find out and that he didn’t want to risk for the possible deduction of payment.

With a polite smile, Seiryū approached the table as all eyes turned to him. The male patrons seemed to ignore his presence, as they shuffled through their menus for a meal to order. Meanwhile, two the females had quickly placed their orders after he had asked what they would like. The last female, who seemed to hold a shy disposition, had turned to look at the table once he made eye contact with her. As the rest of the table had placed orders, save for the one girl who had turned away, all attention shifted over to her. The girl sitting beside her had given her a slight nudge which Seiryū easily noticed. She looked back up, a slight red hue on her face, as she placed her order. Seiryū had heard, a gentle smile was directed her way as he wrote down the last of the order as he went towards the kitchen to give the orders.

Quite some time had passed by as the food was being cooked. Seiryū went about his business, cleaning up another table in which he had on his to do list before his shift was over. He wouldn’t have the time to attend to his last table, as it would have to be taken over by a regular employee, not that he minded a bit, though his curiosity of the one girl was piqued.  Once he went to go wash his hands, the food had been ready to be served, though when he went to grab the tray, the manager had halted him, telling him he was getting off early, as an employee had come in early. With a grateful nod, he was told his payment would be sent to him by the mission office.
