Another Day Another Land...

Ayuki, had been around the world and back again, and she didn't even care to take any of it in, her main goal and her main purpose in life wasn't even around her. He was off in the village somewhere Probably talking to one of the Elders, like he always did. To him this was some great journey or something. Ayuki didn't know, all she know was she had to protect him, she was too keep him from harm. even at the cost of her life Ayuki would spend every last moment attempting to save her only family member left.... her brother. Ayuki was near a small little lake in the middle of no where in the forest of Konoha. Ayuki had heard much about Konoha, and how it was the place where the Uchiha clan once thrived and being as Ayuki didn't pay attention very much she had no clue as to what happened here, or why so many of the current Uchiha clan loathed the hidden leaf, but that was't her job or business to know. Whatever problems people had, it was their problems and not Ayuki's.

Ayuki sat on a thick branch near the top of a tree, where the base was about 3-5 meters to Hiroshi's and Ayuki's campsite. This way she could keep an eye on it, but still not be in the middle of it in case some one decided to attack them because they were outsiders. It certainly wouldn't be the first time it had happened, and chances are it wouldn't be the last. So this is what Ayuki did for most of her day while her brother was out gaining knowledge. well it was this or she was training in order to get herself stronger, and speaking of Training Ayuki figured that that had sounded like a good idea right about now. She hopped from branch to branch down the tree until she was on the ground floor, then she got out some of her leg weights and strapped them on to each one of her ankles. she fastened them tightly so the chance of them slipping off was minimal at best. then she preceded to run out in the forest a little ways, and once she was about 20 meters from her campsite, she turned and begun to run in a circle a round it. this way not only was she getting training, but she was also checking the perimeter for enemies or anything that could be potentially harmful. However after a few laps of doing this and finding nothing she decided that she had had enough training and then after quickly taking off her leg weights she quickly climbed up the tree once more, except this time her gaze was focused upon the sky above and not the ground below. Ayuki had always enjoyed the clouds, and she never time to stare at them while she was traveling and so she figured she had better seize the opportunity while it was here. You never know whats going to happen next in the life of a ro-nin.

A metallic clank followed by several loud, thumping noises could be heard as Kyohei practiced his shuriken jutsu. It was one of the most basic skills a shinobi should have, being taught at even the earliest levels of the academy and yet he found it to be one of the most neglected once people got their hands on jutsu. Sure, shuriken weren’t as flashy or destructive at ninjutsu, but they served their purpose. They were tools of the trade, and as with all tools, they could only be used to their fullest potential by those who put in the time to master their use.

As for why he had come all the way out into the middle of the forest to train? That answer was simple, he preferred the solitude of the Dense Forest, especially during training where he wished to work on new techniques and strategies away from the prying eyes of the outside world. There was any number of training grounds within the village he could have used, but frankly he found them all unappealing. Half of them would be filled by children and academy students practicing the basics, making it a poor environment to train higher level skills and tactics. The other half would just be filled with people he just didn’t like or didn’t want to deal with, but most of all there would be little privacy while he trained.

After a long morning of training he had left the trees in the immediate area covered in scorch marks and cuts from his weapons that had struck their target. Some of his equipment had been removed from the bark of the trees, but there were still a good amount of shuriken scattered around the area; some stuck into the trees they struck and some laying around in the grass. Breathing slightly staggered from his lengthy training session, Kyohei would begin to retrieve all of the equipment that had made its way around his training area, no doubt missing a few shuriken here or there, but he would not grieve such an insignificant loss. Who knows how many shuriken or kunai he had lost in these woods by this point? Probably enough to supply a small army. Of course that was an exaggeration, but the intent was the same.

Once he had finished cleaning up after himself, he would take a seat, leaned up against the trunk of a rather large tree and take a well-deserved break. That had been enough shurikenjutsu training for one day. He was pleased with the results, although not satisfied, and could comfortably move on to other things if he so chose. For some reason though, he just wasn’t in much of a training mood today. Maybe he had simply burnt himself out from all of the training he had been doing recently. His skills wouldn’t suffer too much if he took a break, would they? Either way, that was a question for another time. For now he would simply lay back and enjoy the solitude.

Thump, Thump, Thump.... it sounded as if a heard of elephants were walking around the forest. Ayuki instantly perked up, she was very intent on keeping her camp safe in order for her brother to return to, she wanted him to have something to return to and it was her job to assure that he could... THUMP, THUMP, THUMP... the noises were getting louder and louder and Ayuki was now certain that the sounds were heading in her direction. Ayuki figured it would be best for her to stay in the trees and wait until the sounds made their way through the camp, but by how fast the sounds were increasing in volume, Ayuki could tell that is was going to be awhile before she figured out what was causing such a loud noise.  Now Ayuki figured she had better step up some traps, just in case the noise had evil intentions, but she didn't have any justu or equipment to step them up, and so she decided that it would be best iif she were to simply wait out the ever in coming noise.

After about another Ten minutes the Bandits were finally in view of the now hidden ninja that was silently waiting above them. Ayuki could only grin as she heard the mob of maybe 15-20 bandits slowly approaching her camp. They didn't look too tough to her and so she figured that she could take them down any day of the week. "Yeah, those Uchiha travelers are this way" Wait what?! they had been targeting them? why? they didn't own anything of value, they were just poor travelers... when they had money, it went to food and then that food was ate on the spot. So what on earth could they be after? "Yeah once we get that sharigan, we will be unstoppable!" Sharigan? What on earth was a Sharigan? Ayuki had no idea, although she figured it was some rare item that the bandits had figured that they had acquired, and apparently they thought it was powerful enough to help these low lives become stronger...

Ayuki waited until they were down below her before she dropped down in the the middle of the group the surprised on their face lasted only a moment before they began to run at her. she simply grinned, then she turned away from the closest one and jumped up into the air, spinning and twirling until she was in the perfect position behind him, the she placed her foot onto his back and pushed off, knocking him to the ground, then she flipped her body in mid air, to face the next attack. she swung her leg aiming at his head, and turning her body at the same time. He caught the attack, which is what Ayuki had had planned. now her body was in the perfect position, she thrust her fist forward and punching him in the stomach as hard as she could, by pure muscle reaction he let go of her leg, then she used her other leg to kick him in the chest and send him flying away from her, hit 3 others. that was 5 out of sixteen down.  Ayuki, put her hands on the ground and did a cart wheel type move to get her back on the ground up right once more... then three of them ran at her, this one wouldn't be easy.

The Leader had been hanging back from quite awhile now, not doing much of anything... simply watching the show, as Aykui ran at the three thugs running towards her, she jumped up once more, but this time the thugs were smart about it, and so they sped up there pace and caught Ayuki's foot. then they slammed her on to the ground, forcing a scream of pain out of her as he back hit the the ground, then the Leader of the band of thieves walk over to her as she was forcefully held up with her arms and legs being held so she couldn't move.  "i watched you fight very closely" he said in a deep and serious tone. "and i noticed you didn't use the sharigan... which any normal uchiha would have used during a battle against so many, and so i've come to the conclusion that you haven't unlocked it yet, and that means that your useless to me... but your brother maybe..." He then turned to the thugs that were holding Ayuki and said "kill her... she is of no use to us anymore" Wait What! what did he mean by unlock it? and what did he mean a normal uchiha? what was this thing that he kept mentioning, And no he could't take her brother! Ayuki's thoughts were all over the place and the angry inside of her was beginning to build quickly. she tried to struggle free but she couldn't get loose, her instinct told her to yell, but logic told her not to. not only would no one hear her in the middle of the forest, but the scream from earlier would have already alerted anyone around her, that she was in need of help. the rest of the bandits all gathered around to watch her execution, they laid explosive tags round her in order to keep her from escaping if by some chance she some how managed to. then one of the thugs stepped up and drew his sword. then he slowly began walking towards Ayuki, with intent to kill...

A close, yet unseen rumbling would catch the attention of the resting Uchiha, making him grab a kunai off of the ground beside him and grip it tightly in anticipation of what was to come. The source of the sound was so near he could feel the vibrations in the ground as the footsteps of the group ran through the trees just beyond his location. Yes, they were footsteps. He could hear them, thumping ungracefully against the earth as several loud and obnoxious voices could be heard, although he couldn’t make out their exact words. “So much for my peaceful morning,” he thought as he raised himself to his feet, weapon still in hand, “Someone always has to ruin my good mood.”

He took an combative stance in preparation of an oncoming attack, but would soon find himself not under attack. He was just standing there. Whatever rowdy group that was previously close seemed to have run right past him. Obviously he wasn’t what they were looking for. But if not him, then what? A group like that moving through the dense forest was suspicious to say the least. Kyohei decided that it was his civic duty to investigate… and maybe get a chance to put all of the training he had been doing over the past month to the test.

As he made his way through the forest, following the direction in which he was sure they had travelled, he moved through the treetops to keep himself out of sight. He arrived in time to see the apparent leader of the group sentence a young girl to death, with her being held in place by the group while one approached weapon in hand. He didn’t know why they intended to kill this girl, but he knew he was going to stop it. He weaved a quick sequence of hand seals as he leapt out from the canopy, blowing out a large stream of fire from his mouth, causing the raging flames to fall down from directly above the man he suspected to be the group’s leader, taking him and the two men standing next to him out of the fight almost instantly.

The smell of burning flesh filled his nostrils, causing a devilish grin to form upon his lips. It had been too long since he had experienced that smell. The aftermath of his jutsu left the immediate area ablaze, with only the crimson glow of Kyohei’s Sharingan peering through the flames, His eyes seemed to rouse a reaction from the remaining thugs. It wasn’t surprising. The Sharingan was as well known of a kekkei genkai as there was. He could see them hesitate at his arrival, but ultimately they did decide to charge at him. One by one the descended upon him and one by one they fell, their movements slow and predictable before his visual prowess, leaving them powerless to respond to his rapid movements. A loud thud would mark the sound of each body that fell to the ground, leaving a trail as Kyohei slowly made his way over to the men who were still restraining the girl. “I don’t know what kind of men you are, grouping up and attacking a girl all by herself,” he said as he slid a finger against the edge of his kunai, wiping off a bit of blood, “But given how many of you were down before I stepped it, it looks like she was giving you quite a bit of trouble. She might have even won if you didn’t have all of those people to back you up. Let’s see if I’m right.” With that he would swiftly throw the kunai in his hand at the pan holding her right arm, hitting him in the neck and forcing her down, giving her an opening to break free on her own. Now it was time to sit back and watch her get her own revenge.

Fear was the only thing Ayuki felt as the man slowly approached him and the leader walked calmly away... then suddenly a flicker, a mere moment a shadow passed over then, Ayuki looked up from staring the ground to find the leader erupt into flames, she watched as the man, fell down to the ground, his red eyes analyzing his opponents every move in an instant and then reacting as he took each one of them down.... one by one by one, a loud thud marking then end of each and every one of them. then her slowly walked up to the two remaining, and Ayuki and spoke. “I don’t know what kind of men you are, grouping up and attacking a girl all by herself, But given how many of you were down before I stepped it, it looks like she was giving you quite a bit of trouble. She might have even won if you didn’t have all of those people to back you up. Let’s see if I’m right.” Ayuki saw the kunai fly out of his hand and hit the one on her left side in the neck, killing him instantly, as he feel Ayuki felt the grip on her loosen, enough so she could move and break out of the others grip, and before the other could react she charged her foot with raiton chakra and then spun around, then extended her foot out to meet his chest, all of this taking place in a matter of seconds after the first was struck with the kunai. the raiton exploded on his chest, and with the power behind the neck the thugs was sent flying backwards, Ayuki now filled with rage at losing to these idiots completely forgot about the explosive tags laid around her and took two steps in the direction of the flying man, before she stepped on the wire triggering three tags in front of her to explode and she her flying backwards as well. she smack the ground with a loud thud, she felt her consciousness fading slowly, but more than that, she felt her eyes. her eyes felt as if they were glowing with the fire that was slowly eating away at her skin currently. this, this feeling what was it. she felt more alert than ever she gazed over at the man who had for the most part saved her, and saw an outline of him but it mostly just a mass of burning energy... what was this? her glowing red eyes were now closing as she fell unconscious, her life now in the hands of the man that had saved her.

It appeared that Kyohei was correct in his assumption. The moment he created the opportunity for her to free herself she did so, to no small displeasure of the men that had previously held her down. She dispatched them with relative ease, but it appeared the men had set something up that neither Kyohei nor this nameless girl took into account , an explosive tag trap. In her anger the girl had not paid attention to her surroundings and as a result, tripped a wire trap that had been set beforehand, most likely in the event that she had managed to break away. Well, at least someone in that group was smarter than they looked.

The explosion sent the girl flying backwards, in Kyohei’s direction. Fortunately the explosions also caught what was left of the bandit group, leaving him free to go and check on the girl. He ran over to her location and knelt on the ground beside her, inspecting the burn marks that the heat from the explosion had left on large portions of her skin. She was in pretty bad shape, but what really drew his attention was what he saw when he looked up to meet her face, a Sharingan. He paused for a moment, seeing similar eyes to his own staring back at him, their crimson glow resonating with his own. This girl was an Uchiha? Not that it mattered if he didn’t get her some kind of medical attention soon.

“You’ll be alright, I promise,” he said as he looked into her Sharingan with his own, placing a hand on each of her cheeks hoping to keep signs of her consciousness going, “I’m going to get you help.” As he eyes began to close he would lift the girl up, cradling her in his arms before darting off in the direction of the village. The superficial wounds weren’t lethal, but with an explosion like that there could be too many unseen complications to let her try to recover without medical attention. He needed to take her to the hospital. Now.

The blackness slowly encroached around Ayuki as her vision faded to black, she was done her fell unconscious.. her body went totally limp... she would not awake until they reached the hospital...

Wehn they reached the hospital, Ayuki would look up in the mirror and see her gleaming red eyes. then she would ask Kyohei about them seeing as how he had the same eyes. once he explained them to her she would ask him to leave so she could rest and then she would rest for the rest of the day before heading back to her camp.
