Kekkei Genkai: Ashla

Elements: /

Specialization:  Bukijutsu | Ninjutsu | Senjutsu

Location: Scattered

Clan History: The Gekido are a fighting clan who, since ancient times, have lived a violent and inhumane lifestyle, where they attack numerous villages to build up wealth and goods. For years, the Gekido clan lived on the battlefields as mercenaries who sold themselves to the highest bidder for glory and fame. The bloodier the battle, the more they reveled in it. Their prowess with their  Kekkei Genkai and Taijutsu made them a feared force to oppose, often leading nations to go into extreme debt in order to have them join their armies. But the Gekido were a fickle clan; they'd just as soon turn on their former benefactors as soon as the war was over.

The Gekido have a long standing birth contract with the Monkey Kingdom, dating back to the clan's earlier days as a mercenary clan. In exchange for strengthening their bodies and allowing them to summon members of the Kingdom, the Gekido were to never attack the Monkey Kingdom, nor any other Kingdom they were allied with.

The Gekido agreed to the terms, unknown that it would not affect the current generation. However, the first child born after the contract was born with a tail, and the ability to manipulate the world around him via his chakra. Over time, as the older generation died off, the clan was left populated with nothing but members with tails. They came to realize that the Oozaru transformation could be controlled if trained correctly...

However, such fame did not come without its own cost. The Gekido were feared for their battle tactic; the complete and utter destruction of any village they were unleashed upon. The Gekido often took it a step further; they raided any and all villages between them and the target village. They cut a violent path throughout history, so much that that just before the start of the First Great Ninja War, they were hunted down to near extinction to prevent them from entering on any faction's side. It was thought that if the Gekido entered the war, they would eliminate the vast majority of the opposing forces; in addition, no country was financially stable enough to purchase the clan's military might.

A few members escaped the extermination however, fleeing to the outskirts of Iwagakure. When the First Tsuchikage heard of their arrival, he sent a military force to intercept them, with orders to kill them if they showed any signs of being hostile. What the Iwa shinobi found however, was a mere shadow of the military force that was once the Gekido army, asking for asylum. Given the Gekido had never crossed Iwa in the past, but highly mis-trusting of them, the Tsuchikage allowed them to enter the village on the condition that the clan would be relocated to what was known as the Gravity Fields.  The Kage reasoned that if the clan was willing to endure with the location, he would allow them to remain.

Not only did the Gekido endure the location, they thrived in it. The Gravity Fields were known for the rocks in the location. A strange energy radiated from them that interacted with the gravitational properties of the area, seeming to increase the gravity. The Gekido took this as a blessing from the Kage, using the properties of the area to train themselves vigorously once more. In time, they came before the Tsuchikage and properly pledged their loyalty to the Kage.

As time went on, the clan was contacted by the Monkey Kingdom once more. The elders apologized for being unable to assist thier protectors, and presented them with the knowledge of Senjutsu in order to strengthen them even more. The new 'clause' to the contract allowed the Gekido to keep thier orginal power to manipulate things via chakra, but added an additional ability; with the introduction of sage chakra, the clan members were able to focus themselves and ascend to a super-human form of mind, all the while still strengthening the body to perform feats unheard of.

While traditionally, the Gekido live in Iwagakure, in recent times, a rift has formed between the clan  of the village and the current Tsuchikage, resulting in the Clan scattering to other villages.

Kekkei Genkai Description: All pure-blooded Gekidos are born with tails, monkey-like in appearance and covered in brownish fur, and is directly linked to their inherent contract with the monkey kingdom. The tail is a particularly sensitive area for Gekidos who have not trained it. When grabbed or injured, it causes great pain to the owner, and temporarily immobilizes the whole body. However, the Gekido can train themselves to overcome this weakness. The tail is very prehensile, and can be used to grasp things, much like certain primates do.

The true power of the Gekido's clan is thier kekkei Genkai, Ashla, which is complete mastery of Senjutsu chakra combined with overwhelming Bukijutsu skills. Users of Ashla believe that there is no barrier between the types of chakra, and that each creature is connected through chakra. Therefore, by manipulating chakra as a primal source of power, the user can achieve feats that will baffle the mind of normal people. Members of this clan are taught from a young age the principles of harnessing senjutsu to increase thier prowess in fighting [They are able to attain senjutsu at chuunin rank rather than spec jounin. All other specializations can be attained as per normal rules].

Drawbacks:Members of this clan are limited to only three elements. In addition, the trainnig for thier second and third element is increased by 25%. Also, if the clan member's tail is cut off, the clan member instantly looses thier ability to absorb senjutsu, thus rendering the spec 'dead' until the tail is either reattached with an A rank medical ninjutsu [performed by an A rank ninja] or the ninja relearns senjutsu through the 'normal' methods.

In addition, the clan members are never allowed to utilize genjutsu, due to the erratic nature of their clan, and take an extra rank of damage from it (-1 resistance to genjutsu).

Due to thier fighting belief and pride, members of this clan are required to take Foolhardy as a negative SC that cannot be balanced.

Members: Gekido, Jin

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:

Name: Chakra Grip
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: D-SS
Type: Offensive | Defensive | Supplementary.
Element: /
Range: Within eyesight
Specialty: Ninjutsu | Senjutsu
Duration: [Maintainable; 4 post max]
Cooldown: Duration + 3 posts
Description: By manipulating chakra in a manner similar to that of the Temporary Paralysis technique, the user is able 'grip' a person or item, and manipulate the in whatever manner that they choose; typically, this manner includes pushing people or items away as a defenive measure, lifting them up into the air to imobilize it, or capturing it in a grip to prevent it from harming something. This ability is directly tied to the user's strength stat, being that can only perform feats in relation do this. [If you cannot do it with your bare hands, you cannot do it with this jutsu.] To perform this jutsu, the user must be able to see the target to grab them [Althought 'reaching blindly' very possible] as well as within ten meters of the user; the user must then concentrate on the intended target to ensnare them. The air around the user will 'shimmer' as the chakra builds around them. The moment the 'shimmer' stops, the chakra used becomes visible and the user thrusts thier dominant hand in the direction of the target. The chakra condenses into a rather large, spectral hand, moving at [D: 10m/s | C: 20m/s | B: 30m/s | A: 45m/s | S: 65m/s | SS: 85m/s] with the intent of closing around the target in a fist. The user must then utilize thier dominant hand, miming the actions that they wish to commit. This jutsu can only be utilized on a single target at a time at low ranks [D-B] and  and two targets at once at higher ranks [A-SS].
The size of the hand can vary. At lower ranks [D-B], the user is only capable of of projecting the large scale version, which is roughly four feet across the 'palm'; at higher ranks [A-SS], the user can condense the chakra down to the size of thier own hand for more 'delicate' handling. Desipite the size, the strength of the hand's grip remains the same; equal to the user's. It is possible to overpower/destory the requiring the target to either physically overpower the hand, or use a chakra requiring jutsu of equal rank.
Ashla: When sage mode is active, the strength limitation is removed at S rank, allowing the user to litteraly do as they wish with ensnared targets.

the 1000 wordcount training, is that to pick things up, or to over come the weakness of having the tail grabed, or both?
As for the rage, would it be possible to have more definative triggger than just moon light, since that is 100% just setting the setting to be at night with no clouds, and blam free power boost, or reversly just hiding under clouds or what not if you don't want to go berserk.
As for the 1.5 times increase in strength please put that in terms of how many ranks your strength goes up, instead of over all. IE 1 rank increase, 1.5 rank increase, ect.

As for balance between negative and posative can you include a few more drawbacks, or removed some of the numerous bonuses as to bring the clan to a more balanced state.

As for the jutsu.. is it actually a jutsu (ie takes chakra to trigger) or is it just their passive ability reguardless of chakra.
Also note you mention senjutsu, but don't seem to actually be a senjutsu using clan, or have senjutsu as the specilization which is required to handed senjutsu at all. (even the jugo clan, with the inate ability for senjutsu have it as a specilization)

The 1000 WC training is for both.

The increase is a flat 1 rank boost, that does not increase as its leveled. This does not stack.

This is jutsu, and yes, it does burn chakra.

Fixed the bits about senjutsu. Not sure if this will require a whole new jutsu or not.

"When the Saiya-jin is stressed, the Saiya-jin's tail begins to produce a chemical that interacts with the clan member's chakra and body, causing them to transform into the Oozaru. Their body becomes covered in fur, and the clansmen grows in size, roughly larger than a male Silver back Gorilla (5'10 to 6'6, and weighing 350lbs to 450 lbs). While in this form, their strength and speed is increased by 1x for the duration of the transformation."

This can be removed from KKG description, as it's a jutsu.

Clarify in KKG description to something like this: "Members, upon character application, need to choose to gain a +1 to either Taijutsu or Bukijutsu; they also receive damage of one rank lower from all basic attacks of that specialization."

As drawbacks for prehensile tail, +1 to tai/buki strength, and -1 to tai/buki basic strikes, you balance using no non-starting elements, +1 damage from genjutsu, mandatory unbalance-able Foolhardy, and having to regrow the tail with 1000 words (does this take a med-nin being present?) along with another 1000 for it to become prehensile again, in the event it gets cut off.

Just one or two drawbacks would be fine. Maybe some situational ones? (If their tail is grabbed and held onto for more than one post.....)

Oozaru: Say 1 rank, not 1x. My iffy-ness with the jutsu is that it's a +1 even at D- and C-rank isn't totally balanced by not being able to control your actions. Slight exhaustion after transformation, perhaps? Worsening everytime they exit another Oozaru phase?

If exiting for a third time, the user will suffer a -2. These reductions last for five posts, but can be countered if there is sage chakra present in the user's body at the time of exiting.

This explains the drawback from exiting the Oozaru Transformation and thus should be at the end of the jutsu description, instead of the drawback section. Also, when you say 'it can be countered if there's sage chakra present in the user's body at the time of exiting' what exactly do you mean by that? Clarify for me, please.

Other than that I don't see anything wrong.

Does the temporary tail paralysis get overcome with the prehensile tail training? I'd prefer if it didn't, for the sake of needing more effort to overcome a drawback (and I would say that it still drops from paralysis to maybe a -1 in speed as long as they hold on).

After that, I think it's good.

I'm going to need more information or limitations on what the bonuses to jutsu can be. They likely aren't going to be allowed to be as powerful as you're hoping for. They can't break the forced limitations of jutsu of that rank.

Unless that jutsu is only usable on inanimate objects it is denied. No manipulation of other characters.

The bonuses to jutsu vary depending on the jutsu. For example, a chakra flow jutsu with the Ashla bonus would more than likely gain increased cutting power or or piercing [Given that the clan specializes in Bukijutsu, this would depend on the weapon used]

As for the clan jutsu, it was intended to be done in the same manner as Temp Paralysis or Sand Coffin. If I can catch you with it, I am able to push you away, pull you closer or slam you into the ground.

The problem is that temporary paralysis was intentionally made to be useless on pretty much anyone but genin because if it was more powerful it could be game breaking and sand coffin has to actually catch someone with the sand. Without metagaming there is no way anyone that wasn't a part of the clan would know that the sparkles indicated that they needed to move without explicit knowledge of the jutsu's workings beforehand IC. Using chakra to grab someone is an acceptable application, but it can't be virtually unavoidable and invisible.

But isnt this the risk that anyone runs when they fight someone whom they've never met before? You know nothing about your opponent, so you should/would be on guard for anything out of the ordinary, right? This just seems to take the suprise out of fighting, but alright. The issue has been fixed to make it more visible.

Chakra Grip: This needs a set duration - whether it increases with each rank or not, but within eyesight is vague, and a really, really long range depending on where the user is standing. Give the spectral hand a more detailed description (how large? does it have a tail that follows it?) to give people an option to attack it - and specify what can destroy the hand (noting that it shouldn't have major defensive properties). Although it says that the hand is restricted to the user's strength, how does it larger size come into play then? ie. with your bare hands, you could probably lift a person x meters up into the air. But would that increase with the spectral hand, or remain the same?
