Daraku entered the Grand Colosseum, as it was called, with his typical outfit; a cloak, a plain white shirt, and dark pants with high sandals. His swords were strapped to his back, all three of them clearly visible at a glance. This wasn't a covert mission or important task, so he had no need to conceal them. It was a hot day and the sun was beating down on the massive arena that had once held the Chunnin Exams long ago. He remembered the event as if it were yesterday, and how crowded Sunagakure had been during it. He was never a people person, so the quiet and low population of Sungakure as it was now fit him well. His body soon adjusted to the sweltering heat in the building and he found a spot to sit in the sand. He had set his private training session with Heero for today in the arena to practice Bukijutsu with the boy, seeing as they held that skill in common.

There were a few thing to consider with this training session, however. The first were Daraku's injuries from his Senjutsu training, which he couldn't heal by normal medical ninjutsu means. He needed to wait out the natural healing process, which was always a pain. The next were Heero's injuries from his spar with Kokoro, which had hopefully healed up by now and left him in a decent enough condition to train in. And finally, the last thing to consider was Heero's arrival time. If he came late again, Daraku had no problem dropping the kid and getting a new student to replace him. So, there he waited, wondering how the day would play out in his mind. If everything worked out as he wanted it to, he could probably teach the young ninja a few tricks about swordplay. It was something that he was passionate about, after all, and his skill in it made him a valuable enough sensei. I just gotta be careful not to hurt him too bad...don't wanna get my ass kicked over an accident. I'm teaching him, not fighting him. he thought to himself.

Heero walked into the Colosseum his mind was a kaleidoscope of thoughts, most of the wounds had healed and he could use his arm again. His bones had a ache to them but it was nothing he could not ignore, more important at the moment was the training session his sensei had called. Heero spotted his sensei as soon as he passed the threshold of the Colosseum. Standing with three swords on his back his sensei made a imposing image, although as he neared Heero could tell the other shinobi was injured. Heero looked at the message for the training and let out a sigh of relive, he had managed to be about fifteen minutes early much better then the first time he meet his sensei.

"Hey Sensei...." He said his greeting trying his best not to stutter, to show confidence in himself. It was a long road ahead of him and he knew it, after all, no one changed over night and years of slavery had ingrained his nervous behavior. He shook the thoughts of being afraid, as he forced himself to look directly into his sensei's eyes.

Daraku heard Heero approaching, which was a surprise. He had in fact come early to this training, which made Daraku respect him more than before. The young Chuunin greeted Daraku with direct eye contact and a solid "Hey Sensei....". Daraku looked him over and smiled. "Hey. Nice job getting here early this time." He kept his eyes steady looking back at Heero as he wondered how to go about the training. Simple sword sparring seemed to be the most obvious option, seeing as that's how Daraku learned initially.  He remembered the long, grueling swordplay sessions with his father and how much he hated them at first, and oddly enough, grew to like them as he got older. It was what essentially shaped the foundation of his Bukijutsu prowess and along with his additional training made him the swordsman he was today. Daraku wanted to provide a similarly useful kind of training to Heero which could be used as a base to build other skills upon. He shifted his footing and tightened the Sunagakure headband tied to his shoulder before placing a hand on his hip. "So you already know that we'll be training with Bukijutsu today, correct? It will be a simple sword spar; no Ninjutsu, and in my case, no Medical Ninjutsu or Senjutsu, either. That way, we can focus on the basics and improve your mastery of swordplay."

Daraku moved his hands along the weapons on his back until his palm met the hilt of Kage no Ken, which was the weakest but most sentimentally valued weapon he had. It had been the weapon that his father had used to kill his mother, and as grim of a use it had served, he found it to be meaningful to him for whatever reason and so he often equipped it when on missions or during training, regardless of whether or not he was going to actually use it. It was often left untouched throughout his fights and stood as more of a trophy. This time, however, it did serve a purpose because it would put Heero and Daraku on nearly equal grounds in terms of weapons. It wouldn't make them completely equal simply because Daraku's experience in Kenjutsu far exceeded Heero's but it would be better than coming after Heero with lethal weapons that could possibly kill him by accident. "Before we begin, is there anything you want to ask me concerning this training or the art of Bukijutsu?" he said as he pulled Kage no Ken from its sheath with his left hand and held it low to his side, contemplating exactly how to approach the training. He wasn't the best sensei, simply because his previous experience with teaching people how to fight was...nonexistent. He was just as new to this as Heero was.

"Before we begin, is there anything you want to ask me concerning this training or the art of Bukijutsu?"  His sensei asked him. He scratched the back of his head for a moment. "Um you would not ha..appen to have a extra sword I could use would ..you? My sword is made using a jutsu." To prove his point he used his family jutsu to make his sword appear from what looked to be the air. He held it up for his sensei to see before he dropped the jutsu. "se..see?" He said as the sword faded to nothingness. He once again made a point to buy a real sword once he got the chance.

Daraku's inquiry was returned with a timid reply that he didn't expect. "Um you would not ha..appen to have a extra sword I could use would ..you? My sword is made using a jutsu." Daraku blinked a few times, then made a confused noise that was reminiscent of the word "what". He knew well of the Kuroka kekkei genkai, which formed swords and the like with energy from chakra. Heero went on to demonstrate its use, creating a sword out of thin air immediately and displaying it for Daraku. Daraku didn't understand why Heero needed one of his swords; the boy should have come prepared for this, at the very least. Each of Daraku's swords held a deep personal connection to him and thus he was already wary enough about letting people use them, but Nisebi and Hikou, his strongest weapons, were both extremely lethal and he didn't want to have a novice Bukijutsu practitioner using them all willy-nilly. He groaned in discontent. "Why can't you use your Kuroka kekkei genkai for training? I'd rather not let you use my swords, I'm super protective of them..."

The Ishido kept his eyes intensely on Heero, contemplating the situation. There was no visible reason not to use the Kuroka's Yami no Katana, unless he was not able to use it properly. Even then, Daraku could help him use it to some degree. "Well, I will only consider letting you use one of my swords if you absolutely are UNABLE to use your kekkei genkai for this. You are a sword specialist by blood; if you can't manage to use your Yami no Katana in a sparring match, then I would be of little help to you."

(OOC: Why is your Bukijutsu at B-Rank? It should be at S by default, since it's your primary spec. Just curious.)

"..I only meant to see if I was allowed to use my bloodline, that's all." He said in a calm voice. A Idea popped in his head and you could see it in his eyes. "Well, I..I was wondering if you could teach me some of your jutsu... I'm kind of limited to only a few at the time being..." He said. Heero wanted to expand his horizons and learning new jutsu was easy for him, however he awaited his sensei's answer.

Heero's timid speech continued, a series mouse squeaks compared to Daraku's throaty growls. He explained that he just wasn't sure whether Daraku would allow him to use his kekkei genkai or not, an inquiry that Daraku had indirectly answered in his scolding of the kid. The Sannin cleared his throat. "The difference between a blade of sturdy metal and a blade of one's chakra is of little consequence to the training. What we're aiming to help you learn here is not what kind of swords you excel with but rather how to wield a sword properly. So yes, you can use your kekkei genkai." Heero really was going to need some work; his shy and introverted demeanor was a blight to Daraku, who wasn't exactly the outgoing and extroverted type but at least was assertive and, most of the time, aggressive. Such polar opposites were an uncommon pair in the "real world", but this was merely student instruction. Daraku wasn't there to be an ally to Heero, at the time. He was there to be a solid foundation and a tutor to make Heero the best ninja he could be, or become a failure trying.

Within seconds, Heero asked another question. He asked Daraku if the man could teach him some jutsu, which left Daraku quiet. He didn't have many specific jutsu used from his blades that Heero could use; he was prepared only to instruct in the arts of sword technique. The few jutsu he did have were either of different elemental releases than those that Heero was familiar with or incorporated elements of medical ninjutsu, which Heero had no knowledge of. "I could teach you one technique, but since most of my sword proficiency is in types of swings, stances, and medical uses, that's going to be the best I can do. It's a technique called Wind Release: Providence, and it's a simple enough defensive jutsu..." He felt a bit anticlimactic, explaining that he could only teach one sword jutsu, but he couldn't help it. "So is that alright? We can get to close-combat simulation after that."

While it was true Heero expected a little more of a selection, it was also true nothing was free in life. He gave a nod and used his clans signature jutsu. A snap-hiss sound was heard as the tendrils of chakra shaped and molded into his sword he had designed so long ago. The blade glimmered in the hot sun and a slight breeze rustled threw his hair. He got into a defensive stance and waited for his sensei's instructions.

(OOC: I have to travel to Kiri for IC plot reasons, so this thread has to end. But when I get back, we can continue the training in another thread, if you would like. And don't forget, you can use the words from your previous posts in this thread to go towards the jutsu I'm teaching you, since the Bukijutsu training is void.)

Daraku looked back at Heero, who reluctantly accepted the offer to learn the technique, with a tinge of disappointment present in his voice. Daraku nodded and without hesitation removed his sword from its hilt and spun it rapidly, releasing wind chakra as he did so. The wind created a free flowing space around him that seemed to bend and move as his chakra fluctuated until it reached a period of autonomous revolutions, akin to a tornado. It separated Daraku and Heero with a wall of dangerous winds as Daraku put his blade back into its sheath. He spoke over the sound of the roaring air currents, explaining his use of the jutsu. "It is a technique that I created back when I was a Chuunin, like you. It is called Wind Release: Providence, as I said before, and it creates a defensive tornado around you to act as a counteractive barrier. To use it, simply spin your sword overhead as fast as you can while you pump wind chakra through it, and continue for as long as possible until the tornado is formed." Suddenly, Daraku noticed a messenger bird flying towards him, to his surprise. He opened it casually, reading its contents with slight confusion.

"Well, Heero, it looks like I'm supposed to report back to the Standby Station and talk with some of the Jounin there. They need to assign me something, although they didn't specify exactly what in this letter. It says immediately, so I need to get going. You can continue practicing this technique I've shown you on your own time, if you would like. I feel like it would be beneficial to you and we could work on more Bukijutsu techniques the next time we meet. I'll see you then." Daraku felt bad leaving his student there so abruptly, but duty called, and he wasn't one to let that call fall on deaf ears. He strapped all three of his blades onto his back tightly, gave one last wave to the Chuunin, and then sprinted off in the direction of the standby station. It was somewhat far from the colosseum, so the faster he ran, the better.
