Rays of fire flew across the sky, leaving a glorious trail. Remarking on the sight with his face as what he was witnessing was ineffable. It was these moments exactly, where he could pinpoint the source of his passion and put it on display for everyone to see and say, “This is why I set out on the path that I have grown so attached to”. All he needed was one soul to stand beside him in this hour so that they could feast on the delicious view together. A sickening feeling always found a way to settle in during these times as well as the sheer weight of the responsibility bore down on him, the responsibility to express these moments in words that would strike chords of revel. But then again, there was maybe no one better equipped to do just that. Behind the cloud of messy white hair, his eyes shot through yearning for more than just a back row seat.”I’ll have my adventure. There is a place that I have studied that is home to the best armor that can be contrived. And tomorrow morning, I will travel there. This feeling will be mine.” His legs pushed off the roof top as he went home.

The sun had just risen above the lower foothills in the east, and Kurai was already packed and equipped with everything he needed for his journey, which wasn’t much. He had a back pack full of clothes and food… that was it. The resourceful Uchiha sometimes relied on his adaptability too much, but he was confident he had what he needed. He gave his family the usual story. “Going on a mission, I’ll be gone for a while. I should be back by tomorrow night.” It was going to take Kurai most of the day just to reach the palace of lore, and then he would have to gather the treasure, and then trek back. Not to mention that with all the mystery surrounding the place he was getting ready embark on, that many unsuspecting developments were bound to be waiting to spring out and coil around the shinobi, holding him hostage to his own insatiable appetite for adventure. Maybe one day he would get enough, but that day was no where near. Until he stumbled across the adventure of adventures that would inspire the greatest story ever, him nor would his pen rest.

An array of heavenly golden light would spread across the sky whilst generating a heat which most would deem unbearable. As the Stone countries inhabitants were usually unphased due to natural adaption, there was always a general sweat amongst the people in their everyday duties. There wasn't a wind in sight in Iwagakure that day, it was like the gods had sat still and simply watched over the lands, and would leave the tall sky scrapers Iwagakure had with shadows that would spread across the village leaving long shadows in it's wake. But one shadow was more distinguished as the others as a figure would stand atop the center building, or to be more precise, the Tsuchikage building. This so called figure would stand unphased by the heat keeping completely physically poised allowing his golden hair to sit perfectly still on this windless day. His black and gold robe would display his general rank being known as the 'Shadow of the Stone.' His crimson gaze would pan down below him, watching the general activity of the village whilst pondering on self confliction.

"What have i done, since achieving the Kage rank." It was a question that the young Tsuchikage would ask himself everyday. What was it he was doing as a kage? Sure he stopped the attack of the missing-nin group, but what could he do to regain his confidence?

Continuing to keep his calm and allow his thoughts to linger, his crimson hued lenses would locate a single figure that would catch his attention. An ANBU officer would emerge from the shadows only to kneel before the Tsuchikage and speak before him. The Tsuchikage would keep his stern facial expression when speaking with the ANBU officer. "Lord Tsuchikage, their are whispers of a rebellion in the north west valleys of Iwagakure." For the first time that day a slow breeze would sweep the area allowing it's air currents to gently lift the Tsuchikages robes and hair. "Tell Crollo to clear my schedule, let's figure this all out." A smile would widen on the Tsuchikages face as it would seem death was about to pay a visit to his enemies yet again. Within the instant his words departed the Tsuchikage would leap from his building and travel to his destination, into the wilderness.

His legs trudged forward as the thrill of the quest to come gave him near uncontrollable energy. But, Kurai was no rookie navigator or journeyman, he was well adept at harnessing his emotions, and not allowing the moment to get to him at this point. More of a swift stride was gained by his quick composure. His backpack was strapped relatively loosely to his back. The bag was completely brown, meshing with the main theme of the Iwagakure wilderness. Kurai was also wearing a mostly brown leather outfit that was lined with a cool interior. His leather vest flung open revealing a short sleeve tight brown shirt. The still and humid air of Iwagakure caused the shinobi to break into a mild sweat. It was welcomed though as it kept him cool.

As he entered the wilderness, his first passage was through a long stretch of plain and flat land, that would lead him to the cumbersome portion of his travel. So many times he had been in this situation, facing an arduous trip into the dangerous lands of the wilderness, and every time he had to refer back to one of his most inspiring principles.

Principle #3: Never look back

And he didn't. He took out the seashell that dwelt in his pocket and pressed it to his lips as the lids of his eyes closed gently. He was moving again, and quickly. The treasure hidden in the feared compound was not going to have mercy on his inquisitive nature. As he neared the mountain ranges that towered high into the sky, he thought on some of the tales that swirled around the cave of mythical armor. I remember one story describing the armor in detail, saying that it was as rough as a crocodile's back, and all that entered faced the wrath of dragons. Kurai knew that they were just tales, but to all tales, there was truth behind them. He was going unlock that truth.

The first phase of the mountain was a gradual slope, not so bad, but as he ascended higher, the path got rockier and more steep. It became so difficult that he was reduced to using the supernatural walking technique to make it to the top. Perhaps if he was of higher rank, and possessing greater and more matured physical abilities he would have been able to manage on his own. Once at the top of the chiseled mass of rock and stone, he peered out onto the vast wilderness. There was so much to explore, so much that was in sight, and even more that lied outside his current view. It was true Kurai had tasted much of what the wilderness had to offer, but they were just appetizers. As his eyes absorbed the relentless wild, he locked onto his destined direction... Northwest, that is where I will find the 'Den of the Armored Dragons' And so his feet propelled down the mountain with ferocity, lunging out in the direction of his prize. There was much more land to cover, but he was more than half way there now.

As the soothing winds of Iwagakure swept the earth countries lands, a single figure would move at a speed that could not be seen by the naked eye. Leaping from building to building with a single stride, the Tsuchikage would go unseen in each individual motion he initiated. Golden hair would erupt with each burst of movement whilst his crimson gaze would remain fixated on the Bastion Adamante which he would soon stand atop of. The great walls chakra implementation to prevent the supernatural walking technique would throb throughout it's exterior allowing the Tsuchikage to feel reassured due to the presence of Iwagakure's greatest defense. The soothing winds that were once sweeping the lands would now strengthen in force as if the wilderness of Iwagakure was pulling him toward his destination. Chills would begin to creep down his spine as the feeling of danger would haunt his senses, no matter, it only fueled his adrenaline. Slowly turning his head toward his village, the golden haired Kanetsu would whisper words of hope to his village.

"The winds are unkind to us my dear Iwagakure villagers, i shall only venture out for one single day, pray that the winds don't invite danger."

Remaining calm after his subtle verse, the Tsuchikage would allow his focus to return back to the wilderness whilst momentarily lowering his center of gravity, before long his legs would bend allowing his body to make a crouched position. Without a second of delay, his legs would thrust of the ground, launching his body into the wilderness before sprinting through the baron wastelands that surrounded the earth countries capital.

A body that was purely invisible to the untrained eye, with his movements being the definition of extreme speed. Clouds of dust would erupt from his foot steps allowing a trail of smoke to linger in his wake. His attire being his everyday clothing, would stand almost like a normal iwagakure folk, if it wasn't for his black and golden robe which would float horizontal behind him due the mere nature of his impeccable speed. Looking before him it wouldn't take long before rock peaks would stand in his way, a suitable place for hideaways to begin a rebellion. Due to Kazu's speed, he would reach this destination in no time, so in search of sudden threats, chakra would emits from his body and pool through his right eye allowing the sacred technique of the Uchiha to activate, luckily for the crimson contact lens he was able to hide the fact he had the sharingan in the first place. Panning through the environment he would notice a feint chakra reading in the distance which would appear as an erupting ball of blue flames. A smile would widen across the Tsuchikages face as he found his first victim, but he would surely not jump to conclusions, he could only hope this individual was a threat to iwagakure.... As the Tsuchikage's fists were thirsting for the scarlet mist that would reside inside bodies.

Watching the blue flame make it's way up a cliff the Tsuchikage would begin to slow his pace allowing his body to remain unnoticed to his prey. Before slowly trekking up it's rigged cliff, the Tsuchikage would surge chakra throughout his feet allowing his supernatural walking technique to initiate allowing less effort to scale the mountain, whilst also keeping quiet in each stride he took. Finally making his way atop the cliff, his crimson hued lenses would watch his prey as it sprinted down the mountain and made it's way into the distance. Keeping a watchful eye on the individual he would remain at a distance, hoping it would lead him right to the nest of the treacherous rebellion.

Kurai's pace slowed as he entered the obscure town that harbored and lied hostage to the den of legends. The young Uchiha could only conclude that they walked in fear as a response to the supernatural creatures that squirmed in their midst, striking in the most opportune of time, leaving them struck with fear. A thought that never drifted along the surface of his mind though, that the stories that swam from this area could be linked to something that wasn't as dramatic. Sipping from the cup of danger and adventure had made him drunk with want for excitement. He yearned for the thrill of facing the embodiment of mystery. Sometimes, he simply wouldn't allow himself to accept anything less. Kurai was not sure how he would be received from the townspeople, he didn't think too much of it really, he was here for something specific, and mingling was not it. His keen perception had been magnified with the awakening of his sharingan, giving him even more confidence in his abilities as an observer. As his body advanced through the town, there was an uncanny shakiness to the place. They're too busy. Maybe they are preparing to launch an attack on the armored dragons... However, if that isn't the case, I might be in trouble, they seem a bit on edge, likely making my presence unwanted.

Kurai had already noticed that he was being followed by one of the townspeople, he slipped into a bar, in hopes of losing the tail. As soon as his palm pressed against the door, he had subtly transformed into a dog. He scurried along the inner wall of the spacious tavern, he plopped down and set his eyes on the entry. Kurai's eyes narrowed in on the lady that entered. After a few discrete shifts of her eyes, a small grin began to show. Kurai shuddered, he knew that look. She had failed to find her target, so now she was on the prowl for something out of place, and a dog would likely satisfy her. He now only had one choice, he had to make a scene. She would be expecting whatever Kurai was hidden as to either be out of place or overly normal, she would not expect him to make a scene, as that would completely blow his cover. Kurai surprised himself with how well he barked, he continued the canine yelps, drawing the attention of security. Her face frowned up, as the show the dog put on ruled it out as being her target. The dog was escorted out, setting Kurai free for the time being.

Kurai trotted through the town, still in the dog transformation, heading towards the outskirts, where he would get that much closer to his treasure. It definitely caused him to wonder, the whole being followed so early upon entering the town thing. It's almost if they're hiding something... I don't have time to get involved that's for sure, hopefully I can achieve my task and get out of here quickly. The canine Kurai moved under the beams of sunlight that blasted on top of him. Throughout the town, he saw more of the same. A lot of weaponry being prepared, and a lot of movement and coordination in general, it bore resemblance to a town preparing for a war. Kurai kept his head down as he reached the very back of the town. His first paw was the first to experience the completely different ambiance of this part of town, the building stretched far higher, blocking most of the sun, leaving it in a cool shade. The further in, the more wild the plant life became. Vines wrapped around building and a arched through the cracks of the streets. This section of town is starting to look more like a jungle... have I gotten myself in too deep this time...

Kurai cleared his puppy dog throat.

Keeping well distant and instinctively aware of the individual he was tracking, it wouldn't take long for the blonde haired Kanetsu to follow his target to an unusual town. Keeping his attention on the sole figure he'd been watching from the outskirts of Iwagakure, utilizing his sharingan he would notice the sole individual being watched due to the mass of blue flames of hoarding chakra begin to flicker in conspicuous malice. Was this individual just simply lost? Or an unknown undercover scout for this rising rebellion? A slow stabbing pain would gather in his stomach as a backfire to hoping this individual wasn't an iwagakure citizen simply getting lost. It was the Tsuchikage's duty to protect his citizens, even if they were to wander onto enemy territory. With his movements acting purely on instinct, the Tsuchikage would keep his movement subtle with his shinobi training, whilst focusing on speed, to move as fast as he possibly be without making any sound whatsoever. His body bursting through the town so fast, only a faint silhouette could be seen through his movements. Stopping in his tracks in a lonely alleyway, the Tsuchikage would notice weapons and a mass of rebels to burst in screams of morale. For if these people were to initiate an assault at Iwagakure, hundreds of Iwagakure citizens would fall victim to this small war. It was simple, he had to kill them all.

But first, he could not let this certain individual that would get away from the village be caught in the cross fire, he would allow the blue flame of chakra that was significant to the individual he was tracking to intensify through utilizing his sharingan. Noticing the figure would safely make it's way to the end of the town, Kazu would come to an overwhelming adoration to the individuals ninjutsu skills in bypassing the group by simply changing it's body into a dog. A malevolent trick to say the least, however an individual that would utilize simple tricks to bypass an entire rebellion would show an immense improvisation which implied a immense wisdom. A jounin perhaps? Well whoever the individual was, Kazu would wait within the shady isle keeping an eye on the lone chakra signature leaving the town.

But it was in this brief moment, that the Tsuchikage let his guard down, as in this split second of an instant, he would hear the sounds of subtle footsteps at the end of an alley way, it was evident that the Tsuchikage had to time to run evade, but he had the element of darkness with him in this empty lone village hallway, so purely out of instinctive behaviour, he would crouch allowing his legs to build momentum. With a swift single movement his legs would thrust off the earth below him, launching his body down the alleyway toward the footsteps. Within the instance of his leap, two individuals would stand at its entrance, only to notice him and bark out with a few meaningless words, but in the moment of their first syllable, it was already too late. The Tsuchikage would thrust out both arms, allowing his hands to grip firmly on either individuals throats. Utilising the strength he had gathered from his years of experience as a shinobi, with a vice grip and the power of a fleet of soldiers, his hands would clench whilst choking both individuals, allowing his grip to break through their skin and throats, allowing this single action to end their existences simultaneously. Blood would splatter across his white shirt, allowing a crimson fade to paint across his torso. Holding both corpses firmly within his hands, he would toss them aside in the dark alleyway, and cover them with a dirty rag.

Looking up toward his target, he had simply lost the chakra signature. He had to start again in his tracking, and his emotions would show as a deep sigh would leave his lips. This was now a rescue mission, and he couldn't help but feel a fear for his fellow shinobi.

At this point, Kurai found no more reason to sustain his transformation. As his eyes took in the ghastly sight of the abandoned region, his size and form returned back to normal. He walked carefully, expecting only the unexpected. Ringing through his mind was the obstacles he had already faced, making going on that much sweeter. Destiny had set out to diverge him from his treasure, but he would not be denied. His hands clinched momentarily, his eyes still as the dim stretch of the virtually uninhabited land stared at him. In the distance his acute vision picked up on a fleeting sparkle. Nothing more was needed for the overly determined shinobi to rush towards the sight, while still managing to maintain some form of alertness. He was lucky to be ordained with such great acute vision, making such feats possible. With every emphatic step the ground trembled beneath him, a grin pulled at his face, but soon realized he wasn't the source of the quaking earth. The sparkle grew in front of him, and began to manifest itself into a bedazzled dragon. It extended its wings and behind it was an explosion, from the smoke appeared a breathtaking castle.

Kurai had been snagged. The glowing and sparkling scales of the mythical beast left Kurai frozen momentarily, but he quickly regained his nerved and ran full speed away from the dragon. It then flickered in front of Kurai. He came to a skidding halt, falling backwards before pivoting, running in the opposite direction, only to have the same thing happen. A smirk came on the dragon's face, followed by it opening it's mouth. Kurai was unaware of the true source of the beast he was facing. This is what I came for...

A lone ninja was lurking who had set a powerful (A rank) Genjutsu on the area (50 meters). All who entered would see the diamond dragon. Kurai stared the illusion down. How am I going to get out of this one... I found my lizard treasure... but the armor might have to wait now... His mind continue to fire thoughts and schemes quickly as his analytical motor pushed into overdrive. A town in anticipation of major conflict, a diamond dragon hidden deep in the depths of the town. How can I get out of this one. Kurai continued to churn thoughts as the dragon with its mouth wide open released a stream of fluid flames... Is that... lava?! Kurai dove out of the way. He rolled to his back, crawling backwards on his elbows while gradually rising back to his feet.

A voice boomed downward upon Kurai, the sound of the voice caused the dragon to halt its attack. "You've made it quite far... I'm impressed." The dragon in front of his stood still, shimmering in the dimness of the area. "Especially given how unimpressive you appear on the surface. Travelers have all kinds of reasons for entering this town... unfortunately for them, their motives never sit well with us. You see we're onto something, but we always get these cheese eating rats that jack everything up. Well, playtime is over, we won't be delayed anymore!!!"

Kurai couldn't make heads or tails of the man's monologue. Some call to action, and who is this 'we'?
