Clan: Nekomata Clan

Kekkei Genkai: Ninneko Bond

Elements: N/A

Specialization: Seijutsu (Genjutsu)

Location: Konohagakure

Clan History:
The Ninneko or ninja cats are a nomadic and powerful ninja pets which joined with a particular clan and are age old rivals to the Inuzuka clan over the last two hundred years. The skills of the Ninneko have been famed for generations, while their unique skills and ability to build large structures including the fames cat fortress have not fallen on faint senses.

Though in more recent years the Ninneko began to allow trusted groups of ninja into their fortress in order to help train members of their society, and over time they began to lose their culture among the many traditions of the ever growing and expanding ninja world, though some Ninneko held onto their traditional beliefs and skills. Coming to terms with having to assimilate the culture of others, they have also taken to teaching their ways. Though while they teach their ways, only one clan remains close enough to the enigmatic cats to be considered their companions, and they are the Nekomata.

These ninja, over time having befriended the feline ninjas and through the close relationships with the cats and the chakra bonds which tied them, they began to take on strong feline characteristics, becoming what some have begun to call Nekomata. Having a reputation as an exotic clan of cat-like people who partner with the Ninneko, the Nekomata travel the land with their partners in search of fame, riches, yarn, adventure and all manner of valuable assets.

Kekkei Genkai Description:

Nekomata:
The Human Members of the Ninneko clan are called Nekomata and are known to have very catlike features similar to the Inuzuka's Canine features. Although some are minor, ranging from whiskers and silk-like hair in odd colour patterns, while others are drastic enough to have piqued ears and even prehensile tails. Nekomata are swift, and must have Agile and Reflexes special characteristics, balanced by Frail. This can raise them to 4 total Special Characteristics if they so wish. A Nekomata ninja is also able to begin with One of the following traits, the chosen trait must be copied at the top of the user's justu list... They are able to take a Second Trait at B rank, and finally a third at S rank.

Cat's Legs:
+1 tier to speed 'when sprinting' and the ninja is able to jump hights up to 5 times their height with little effort.

Cat's Eyes:
+1 tier to visual perception and the ability to see clearly in the dark without chakra.

Cat's Ears:
+1 tier to audio perception and able to hear even the softest of footsteps and landings within 30 meters unless chakra would be used to limit sound-waves.

Cat's Tail:
+1 tier to reaction time, and the ability to always land on their feet when knocked back, thrown or launched. Allowing a ninja to flip and skid, rather than be rag-dolled along the ground if the ninjas reaction time is an equal or higher rank than the force that threw them.

Cat's Claws:
Sharp 1.5 inch retractile claws equal to one rank lower than the user's ninja rank producible from either the ninja's knuckles or fingers. Dealing the base damage for a weapon of their rank.

Ninneko:
Members of the Nekomata clan, continuing to mirror the Inuzuka, are pact partners with a very specific clan of Unique cats. Ninneko are specialized Ninja cats which are known to grow and adapt with training and power. Ninneko are not simply a feline companion, but are almost a clan in of themselves within the ranks of other Seijutsu pets. They wear their own ninja headband, with the symbol for Makoto (Sincerety or truth) written on its steel. As Ninneko get older and stronger, they are known to adapt, grow, and eventually become Bakeneko over time, unlocking their ability to learn and train Genjutsu. Ninneko are able to train +1 jutsu more than a normal Seijutsu pet of their rank.

At the cost of 2000 ryo and a thread of 9000 words Ninneko are able to find a fabled coin, which through a sacred process causes the Seijutsu pet to transform into a Bakeneko, a more powerful Ninneko which are  able to use their own Genjutsu. However, their transformation differs depending on their orientation as a combat pet or a support pet.

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:

Name: Nekogan (Cat's eye キャッツアイ)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: D-A
Type: Doujutsu/ Genjutsu
Element: N/A
Range: D-C: 20 m, B-A: 40 m
Speciality: Seijutsu (Pet jutsu)
Duration: Maintainable
Cool down: 7
Description: This Doujutsu is a clan jutsu given to the ninja's Support pet when it reaches S rank, and counts towards their jutsu limit.

The cat, closing their eyes builds up an amount of chakra, equal to a rank of their choice. Opening it's eyes there's a small glint from the eye that its cast from, if the glint is seen by the opponent, the genjutsu trigger is considered successful. upon activation, the user becomes completely invisible, casting a visual Genjutsu on the target which does not allow them to sense, see, or perceive the pet or any of its direct actions (including its physical effect on the environment) so long as the target remains in direct line of sight... basically, it is as if the feline does not exist... However, any justsu can still be seen, and the jutsu becomes thinner when the user channels other abilities, giving it a small shimmer potentially revealing its location to those with a perception of a rank higher than the rank this jutsu is activated at.

This technique is able to be broken with Genjutsu Kai, a sensory technique one rank higher than the rank this technique was activated at, the caster taking any rank of damage (D and up) as it causes the user to blink or the loss of direct line of sight, as the user must have their eyes trained on their target at all times, failure to do so ends the jutsu and commences the cool-down. The rank of the jutsu used must be stated when using the technique. A Nekogan eye can be transplanted into other Seijutsu pets, as it is still a Doujutsu.

Name: Ninneko Transformation Technique (変化の術 ~ Henge no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: Self.
Specialty: Ninjutsu.
Duration: -5 every two posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts after deactivation.
Description:
(Ninneko begin with this jutsu, not counting toward their Jutsu limit as a clan Technique.)

Given all the missions ninja are assigned to--battle, intelligence gathering, diversions--this is a priceless jutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons; however, the object can be no smaller than 1 foot long in at least one dimension. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a master of this technique (which is generally an Academy graduation requirement) makes the user physically and visually the same as the transformed person or object in question, giving the user the exact mass and physical qualities of whatever they transformed into. This is one of the most basic jutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. This technique does not give a ninja the abilities or jutsu of a person they transform into, nor can give the user the damaging ability of a weapon. Doujutsu and other sensory techniques can easily pick out the use of this jutsu. This, and the fact that the chakra of the user would be active, normal makes it easier for sensing techniques to pick out transformed people. If discovered, any form of physical contact can dispel the transformation. Costs 5 chakra on activation, and an additional 5 chakra every 2 posts.

Name:  Kyūkyoku no Shinigami no Neko wa Gijutsu o Tsume (究極の死神の猫は技術を爪 - Ultimate Reaper Cats Claw Technique)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: N/A
Range: Melee
Speciality: Seijutsu / Taijutsu OR Bukijutsu
Duration: 1
Cool down: 7
Description: This jutsu deals very little damage to the target, leaving little more than long red bleeding flesh wounds no more than 1/2 an inch deep. However, in using chakra to imbue chakra enhanced claws, they become super-dense and almost unbreakable by normal means, making the claws able to deal devastating damage to a single weapon or piece of equipment, potentially shattering a ninja Item of equal rank to the rank of the jutsu used. (But alone can only break B rank and lower armour.)

For an additional -15 chakra, a Combat Seijutsu pet and the ninja each strike using this technique, (at the activated rank) both striking the front and the back of an opponent simultaneously aiming to cleave through armour and disarm the opponent with incredible speed, scattering 'all' carried weapons from bottom left to top right on each side and strip a ninja topless. Making every weapon carried by the ninja on their upper body thrown in every direction as well as dealing large 'X' shaped 1/2 inch clawmarks on the front and back of the victim. Performing this, ends the jutsu

Only one of these clan jutsu can be scaleable. Ill review them as is and you can choose which to make into a single jutsu.

Nekogan (Cat's eye キャッツアイ): Since this is a rather useful technique. I'd like the cooldown as length of jutsu plus four posts.

Ninneko Transformation Technique: This seems fine to me. 1/2 approval given

Kyūkyoku no Shinigami no Neko wa Gijutsu o Tsume : I'd like this to either be able to break weapons of the same rank and lower and armour of one rank below or vice versa. Since this may or may not be scalable. If so, i'd like it that same cooldown as the other.

The creator of this clan is on-site and active, so I'll leave edits to they.

Ninneko Henge is fine, Academy standard issue.

Nekogan: Perhaps a sufficient Endurance makes it more difficult to make the user flinch? In exchange, a sufficient Perception should be able to detect the user at an appropriate rank.

Reaper Cat's-Claw Technique: How is this maintainable? Does it break one weapon and do 1/2 inch damage per post?

Cat's Ears: The softest of footsteps and landings, always? Is there any sort of exception?

Cat's Tail: Always landing on one's feat here is unlikely if the product of jutsu.

Cat's Claws: They're 1.5" long, but how deep do they cut/pierce?

Ninneko and Bakeneko are good as-is, ditto for drawbacks.

Unlike the Inuzuka clan, your bonuses for the Ninja gradually come on, so it's worth a bit less drawbacks. I think that the chakra reduction could be lessened to 10 if that is the one you wish to scale back.

Claws: Should not scale.

Tail: Again, knockback via a jutsu that is more than Strength would deal shouldn't be entirely mitigated by this.

This is all.
