Slow winds would pass ghastly through the stone countries wilderness, and would lazily sweep the Uchimagi jungle. A group of silouettes would swiftly flash through the dark corners of the jungle, allowing the tiniest of visual cues to come to vision, with their claws digging through the earth with each leap they took whilst the swaying flora would tear apart due to their unnatural presence. Howls of hunger would terrorise the jungles as a pack of beasts would dash through the vine plagued abyss, but with them would be a lone human, or to be an exact, an eight year old boy. His golden hair would flicker through the shadows as he moved as one with the pack. His crimson gaze would slowly move from left to right as he located certain elements that he adored about this jungle, take for example the natural lavender growth, just it's fragent scent would drive the pack crazy, but not him, he truly adored the smell of lavender which was weird for such a savage human. Being raised by a family of cat's would strip the humanity right out of you, but there would always be certain traits that would grow since the beginning of an existence.

Grunts would echo across the harsh sandalwood bark as a single boar would charge through trees, ramming through anything to hide itself from this nightmare. But the 'packs' natural instincts would come to power, their eyes would gaze upon the boar before running at it, charging the boar with their unreachable speeds whilst their claws would extend in preparation for their slaughter. It wouldn't take long for the pack to come to view, their leaps would send them only a meter above the boar. As it seemed like their attack was about to lead fatal, within a flash of a second the beast would tear in two. Blood would spray displaying a crimson mist as the beast would lay in parts against the floor. The pack would stop as they knew what had happened, they would look back only to see the golden haired boy with blood covering his entire forearm. But the boy left the pack to eat the boar, he was here for the adventure. The jungle boy would roam alone and drift away, leaping from one tree to another, hoping to bring forth something new.

Trees groaned as their leaves danced from their branches to join the wind that blew through the Uchimagi jungle, the wildlife chirped, croaked and growled in harmony while even the smallest of insects could be heard buzzing and fluttering adding to the symphony of noise that was the Jungles lifeline. The sweet Pheromones of plantlife doused the air drifting with the wind, caressing animal and human alike with scents of Orchids, Heliconias and Banana Trees to name a few. The plantlife grew wild and natural in an assortment of colors, flowers blossomed while vines hung from a variety of places and edible fruit grew ripe for consumption. The Jungle was a work of art, it's beauty beyond compare to the rest of Tsuchi no Kuni's dull landscape, even the simplest of rocks held it's own beauty with red, green, brown and blue colored moss that seemed to glow when the sun met its touch. Surrounded by this enchanted vision sat a lonesome young girl who looked no older than six years of age, long blonde hair streamed down her head wildly as her innocent blues eyes focused on the glowing blue river before her, she seemed to be study the way it streamed down ward in fascination, her hand constantly tapping the water causing ripples to occur.

The young girl removed her jumper to reveal a ragged black t-shirt that had an assortment of holes and cuts decorated about it adding to her somewhat of a wild look. After a moments noticed the girl stood and entered the river, basking in its cool temperature and enjoying the feeling is spread across her body, a small giggle left her small lips. The girl seemed to focused on the water that she didn't notice the swelling of water that was approaching from upriver headed directly toward her, if she didn't move quickly she would be swept away down the rapids quarter of a mile further down the river. The water swelled further allowing a large amount of noise to be heard as it traveled. Startled the girl screamed as she forced her hands in front of her face and squinched her eyes shut tightly awaiting the impact....

A flicker of a lone silouette would pass through the Uchimagi jungles, his movements swift yet subtle would be guided by the northern winds thus pushing his body's momentum forward. This jungle was his territory, as he had literally spent the last six years living in here, there wasn't a place he hadn't been in this terrain as he had explored every corner of the damp grove that he called home. With each step the young Kanetsu took, dirt would burst up from it's origin before expelling into the air allowing a black cloud to linger in his wake. And just for a single minute, he'd close his eyes and continue to leap across the terrain trusting only in his sense of smell, touch and hearing. His mind would fixate on the few visual aspects that he had memorized, for his mind had completely mapped his surroundings, whilst his sense of smell would identify the nature of the forest. It's moisture would heighten the humidity thus give his skin the natural instinct of a light sweat, it wouldn't take long for him to realize due to the past week of thunderstorms that the river was due to feel an immense surge of overpopulated H2O. Sprinting closer to the river to watch it's natural beauty, it wouldn't take long till he would hear it's soothing descent, trickeling down and leaving no stone untouched by it's grace. But as he took in the serenity in his surroundings a scream could be heard from further down the river. His eyes would swiftly unlatch back open before panning into the distance only to see a lone figure standing at the center of the river.

It was obvious to the golden haired Kanetsu, if he didn't save her the surge of water would crush her. He simply had to act fast, as his body would kick off the ground, launching his body upward allowing his body to sit atop a willow tree before preparing chakra at his feet. In a single burst his legs would thrust off the branch, shooting his body across the river at into the girl who would stand idly in the river. His torso would clash with hers, whilst his arms would wrap around hers, by then turning clockwise their bodies would momentarily spin to weaken the momentum off their bodies clashing. By just a few centimeters, their bodies would miss the burst of water, but a delayed reaction of the waters momentum would deliver a wide array of water to splash onto the two thus soaking them both. Their bodies would fall to the ground, with the young boy attempting to take the full force of the damage thus having his back scrape against the cold earth they lied on. Keeping her chest to his, he had hoped her body wouldn't recieve any damage, unlucky for him, he could feel his blood escaping idle cuts on his back which would slowly pool around the two. His crimson gaze would fixate onto hers as he smiled even with what had just happened. His body was extremely warm thanks to his Kekkai Genkai, but he knew no such thing, even with chilling water that had spread across the two, he remained completely warm, but with the current blood loss, it would seem his body would soon decide to close down. Looking up at the girl before him, he would only be lost in her ocean blue eyes, the idea's running through his head were completely gone, even his natural instincts for survival. He was simply lost in her gaze.

Rue found herself enveloped by darkness, no sound, no feeling, no vision, only darkness. Through her mind she began asking herself what is darkness?, where is this I find myself in this hour of trouble?


Wandering an eternal abyss the young blonde searched for her escape, the light that would create her freedom, but it would not come so she waited. Time dragged out like a glass hourglass, the sand much to big for the dial. After endless waiting the young child formed tears in her eyes, he sobs and cries echoing without halting, tear after tear streamed down her face as her hands rubbed her eyes fiercely, she wanted her freedom but yet it still would not come, no matter how hard she tried to will it. Just as she were about to give up, a flicker of light flashed across the room, hope returned to the girl as she took to her feet. Once again the room flicked but now the source of light remained, in amazement the young child watched as a Tiger made purely of Lava entered the darkness, each stepped evaporating the darkness. The Tiger spoke causing Rue to become startled but she calmed as the beast continued..


Rue became confused after the Tiger had finished, his words held no meaning in the child's eyes. After a moment the Tiger turned to Rue and placed her upon his back, the flames held no feeling except warmth. In a flash Rue found her eyes locked with another, a young boy with golden hair and glowing eyes, her body atop of his upon his chest. Rue felt wet but the feeling wasn't cold, she could feel heat rising through her heating her entire body, the feeling was good and felt natural and familiar. Lost in his eyes for but a brief second the child felt a familiar presence about him until without thinking her hand went flying across the boys face causing a loud 'slap' noise to echo, something that once again felt natural. After realising her situation the young girl spoke up ''What the hell... why are you staring at me like that?!'' she spoke sounding annoyed. Rue forced herself up realising she had bruises up her arms and upon her chest. Brushing herself off she brought her attention back to the boy noticing blood collecting beneath him in a puddle, Rue felt bad for slapping him immediately and took to her knee on the boys left hand side. Immediately she took to work on the boy, ripping more material off of her already barren T-shirt she signalled for the boy to turn over ''Please, let me help you'' she said in a soft voice. At the moment she realised what had happened, she was meant to be half way down the rapids by now but here she was with this boy. Had he saved her?, by the looks of things he had and harmed himself in the process ''Please allow me to help you after you saved my life'' she added pleadingly.

As the two locked gazes for a brief matter of seconds, it felt like time itself had stopped in motion. Crimson hued lenses would glare at the girl atop him, paralyzed by her sheer beauty it was an overwhelming feeling that left him in a state of peace. Unknowingly dying on the chilling earth, the boy's blood would pool around the two even more so at an alarming rate. But the wide grin he kept would remain frozen on his lips.... that was until she slapped his cheek, forcing his head to recoil to the left.

A scarlet hue would grow upon his cheek as the remaining blood in his body would cling to the struck area. The smile now gone would turn to a puzzled look as the 'damsel in distress' simply thanked him with physical appreciation via a strike to the cheek. No matter, he couldn't control the buildup of emotion running through his mind, and atop of this he couldn't think straight with the vast amount of blood he was losing.

Glaring at two ocean blue orbs, his right hand would move slowly upward as the girl affront him began yelling. His mouth would open wide to respond, yet not a single word would escape his lips. The blood loss had began to effect his brain and his train of thought would slowly diminish. But within his last dying thoughts the boy would smile at the girl once more. He was ready to die. As his surroundings darkened within plain site, the girls face would soothingly vanish, leaving only darkness within his gaze.

As his mind would slowly begin to shutdown, a roar of terror would echo across the jungle, before blacking out completely.
