Arena Three:

Stepping forward to join the smaller crowd of Genin that had made it to the Chuunin Exams, he looked around him to see who all had made it.  He didn't know anyone there personally, but he was trying to judge their strength.  Only a few girls were among the larger amount of men in the group.  Each one seemed quite capable from what he could tell, although he was standing near the back of the group so he didn't get to see too much of them.  One girl in particular caught Ichirou's eyes.  She had very long hair that was a dark maroon color just like his.  Could this be his long lost twin sister?  He didn't dare interrupt the Kazekage's announcement, though.  Instead he tortured himself with ignoring the mystery girl with his same hair color.  Something inside him felt like it really could be her, but he wasn't sure.

After the Kazekage gave the details of what he was supposed to do.  Going up to the bracket board, he found his name on the right side.  Sawai, Mihou would be his opponent.  He had a sinking feeling, as he was hoping to fight the girl with red hair to find out who she was.  Although maybe it was a good thing as now he wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of fighting his twin, if she really was his twin.  Curiosity gripped Ichirou's mind and he reviewed the whole bracket board and then his eyes popped.  Ichirou nearly lost it at the sight of the name on the board: Yagatsuki, Izumi.  That was his last name!  That proved it!  The girl with the long, maroon hair just like his was his twin sister!  He made a note that they weren't set up to fight each other according to how the brackets were made, so the only way he could get to meet her was if he made the final six combatants.

With new vigor, Ichirou made his way to the third arena.  Upon arriving, he found it to be a hard dirt area with about five large tunnel openings sprawled along the arena.  There was a big hole in the middle of the arena and Ichirou went up to it to check it out.  The large hole that spanned to about 20 meters in diameter revealed a large open cavern that was nearly covered with spikes.  Along the rim of the opening were stalagmites from the ceiling, some going all the way down to the ground.

Looking back to the entrance to await his opponent's arrival, Ichirou wondered what he could do with such an environment.  There was several spots where there weren't spikes in the ground, and paths leading off to the five different tunnels that seemed to be equally spaced out more or less.  He slowly began to formulate an idea in his head when his opponent finally arrived.

Mihou had been expecting to fight someone from a different village than hers. She had seen plenty of what Sunagakure Shinobi could do, so being matched against someone from the Leaf or the Mist had been one of the things the girl had been looking forward to since the beginning of the exams. Unfortunately, it would appear that the blonde Kunoichi had been cursed by the desert, as nothing seemed to work the way she wanted it to. During the first test, Sawai had suffered the effects of a heat stroke, a condition that, as a ninja from the Hidden Sand Village, she should have been prepared against. If you considered that she had been raised in the desert by a gang of bandits, and that she had successfully cleared another two survival challenges there without breaking a sweat, the notion of being defeated by heat was both surprising and disappointing. humiliating, if one might add.

But that was it.

Sawai Mihou was not a person to dwell on the mistakes of the past, not unless she was completely alone. So what if the girl had done poorly for a Shinobi of her pedigree? She had become stronger as a result. So what if the girl had to face a Sand comrade in combat, instead of a Genin from another village? There was no doubt that such thing would not slow her down one bit.

Quite the opposite actually... Against those from Suna she would never hold back.

She owed them that much.

"..."

Sawai Mihou silently analyzed her current situation. Standing on the other side of the arena was her opponent, Yagatsuki Ichirou. Separated by a hole of great proportions, each combatant waited on opposite edges for the battle to start. The blonde Kunoichi eyed up the cave underneath for a couple of seconds, before directing her attention towards the boy with maroon hair.

From the looks of it, Sawai wasn't really interested in the arena itself or the benefits it could provide. This, of course, was just a facade: Mihou was pretending not to care to create an opening that was not there, and lure her comrade into a trap. This did not have to happen soon -and to be honest the girl hoped it wouldn't-, it was more like a long-term strategy, simply one of the few tactics she could exploit.

For this match, each fighter was allowed the use of one, and only one item. Attached to her back was a giant folded fan, Mihou's weapon of choice... And it looked like Ichirou had picked a katana as his partner. Sawai did not like that.

Soon, her silent stare turned into a death glare capable of leaving the most courageous boy petrified. There was no ninja technique behind it, just killing intent so strong that it could be felt.

Only Yagatsuki himself knew if this attempt at intimidation had succeeded or not. But there was one thing any trained soldier would have noticed: Even before the start of the fight, Sawai Mihou had begun to study her opponent...

Should she complete her analysis...

"Begin!" Shouted the examiner and judge, announcing the start of the match.

...Ichirou's defeat would be certain.

His opponent, Sawai Mihou, stood before Ichirou on the opposite side of the open cavern.  From this distance, he could make out her flowing robes and blonde hair, and noticed something big and wide strapped to her back.  Being a Suna-nin just like Mihou, he could safely assume she was one of several ninja that used fans with their jutsu.  If his guess was right, then he didn't want to let her have the advantage of long range.  He needed to get up close to fight her if he was going to win this match.

"Begin!" Shouted the examiner and judge, announcing the start of the match.

Instantly on the sound of the match starting, Ichirou launched himself forward with a big leap into the cavern.  Landing in a roll at the center, he sprang up in a sprint, taking out his katana has he ran.   With a great leap, he jumped up at Mihou's side of the cavern, using a stream of wind from his mouth to propel him higher.  With the added boost of his jutsu, Ichirou came right in front of Mihou as she stood near the hole's edge.  He slashed down hard diagonally, starting the slash with the katana raise above his right shoulder and ending next to his left leg.  His eyes watched Mihou carefully, his left hand held the katana but his right hand was free if needed for any reason.

Ichirou had been reckless, trying to close the distance like that. Not only had he bought Sawai Mihou enough time to prepare a counter against the incoming attack... His jutsu had also placed him right where the girl needed him to be. The blonde kunoichi could open her fan at any moment and push him back with her own wind techniques, throwing Yagatsuki into the hole for what would most probably turn out to be a painful fall.

But, because Sawai respected her opponent to an extent, that had never been an option. It was not like the violet eyed girl was holding back, nothing like that... It was just that her current position prevented her from doing something like that. Plus, Ichirou's location on the battlefield was so advantageous to her that it had led her to believe that he had done it on purpose. Indeed, someone who had survived through the first test could not make such silly mistakes. This had to be a feint of some sort.

Mihou's hand touched the tessen strapped on her back. Confident in her speed and reflexes, it looked like she would wait until the last second to counter. Right before Yagatsuki's blade drew a beautiful descending arc, Sawai jumped back a little, just enough to escape the range of the katana, leaving a space for her opponent to land. Then, counting on the fact that Ichirou had yet to recover from his own slashing motion, the blonde kunoichi swiftly raised the fan over her head and...

---Nothing.

All of her movements suddenly came to a stop, leaving some observers in shock. Those of them who had some knowledge in the arts of the ninja, noticed and smiled slightly at Mihou's hidden feat.

The girl standing in front of Ichirou was nothing but a clone. From the beginning, all of its actions had had the sole purpose of keeping the boy's attention on its body and weapon, away from its missing shadow, which had been also concealed somewhat with her stance.

But when? When did Sawai Mihou get the necessary time to perform the jutsu unnoticed?

The answer was simple. The girl had decided on this course of action the instant Ichirou had leaped into the cave below. When he had rolled to prevent any injuries from the fall, the blonde Kunoichi had formed the necessary hand seals and used the Doppelganger Technique, jumping back almost as she had done so. By the time Yagatsuki had recovered from the roll, the original had already been replaced by a fake.

Which left open the following question: Where was Sawai Mihou right now? Well, let's just say that there was enough space between the ceiling of the cave and the upper ground for a person to fit in. So...

Yeah, the next attack would come from below.

The earth under Ichirou's feet would crack and, in a moment's notice, Mihou's folded fan would emerge from underground, its metal handle pointing upwards. It was not a point blank range attack, but it was close enough.

... And it was aimed at her opponent's crotch.

Ichirou's attack missed, his opponent jumping back as he landed on the rim's edge.  He had half-expected this, but on the other half had expected to be attacked right away.  Soon, Ichirou found himself to be right on both counts, and yet completely wrong.  To his surprise, he heard and felt the ground open up beneath him, glancing down just in time to see a giant metal handle of the girl's fan coming up in between his feet.

The horror of his precious jewels being hurt made Ichirou react instantly, not thinking as clear as he should have.  In his naivety he dove forward into a roll at the girl standing before him, only worrying about the metal fan aimed at his balls.  Coming to his feet after the roll, he sprang for a counterattack, his eyes locking with the girl's in front of him and his back to whatever had popped out of the ground.

His head cleared of worrying about his crotch, Ichirou lit up his hairs with Raiton chakra to get rid of his predicament.  It seemed he was now surrounded by two of the girls.  Being stuck in between two opponents was not good, but he was prepared for this as he lit up the 5 meters around him with thousands of tiny lightning bolts, each coming from one of his hairs that were standing on his head.  He must've looked odd, his long hair extended in each direction around him, creating a huge display of lightning that if it hit would cause first degree electrical burns.  Ichirou already got ready for his next move as the sparks flew around his face.

Should their plans go wrong, Ninjas were always taught to have an escape route in mind. To be fair, Mihou had expected to hit her opponent: The girl had managed to catch him by surprise and she was naturally faster than the guy, her speed resembling that of a Chunin rank shinobi. However, Ichirou had managed to avoid danger, that was a fact that could not be denied, and there was no choice left but to go with it.

Heh, despair truly made men stronger.

Fortunately, the escape route was right in front of her. In the split of a second that the blonde kunoichi had left before her opponent executed a jutsu as a counter, she jumped into the hole in hopes to escape the range of the attack. Just like Yagatsuki before, Sawai landed safely with a roll. After a few seconds, the audience could see that the girl was completely unhurt and the only thing she had lost in that exchange had been an illusionary copy she no longer had an use for. What's more, Mihou had once again been granted the possibility to prepare a technique outside her opponent's field of view.

Wind and lightning chakra natures; decent with the katana; fast but sloppy. Slowly but surely, Sawai Mihou was gathering all the data she required to put an end to the match.

Just a few more tests...

Before Yagatsuki could spot her again, the blonde kunoichi used the 'Transformation Technique' to turn herself into an open fan lodged on the ground. To inexperienced ninja, this would look like Mihou had decided to leave her weapon behind in order to, perhaps, create a distraction. Those more perceptive, and Ichirou might have been among them, could easily pick up that the girl was simply disguising herself as a weapon in order to mask her movements.

What made it scary was that Sawai had accounted for several possibilities, and was ready to adapt her strategy to whatever opponent decided to do next.

Would Yagatsuki Ichirou choose to close the distance once again? Or would he try to take her down from a distance? Maybe he had a third option in mind?

Whatever the case, Sawai Mihou was prepared for it.

Watching his attack hit the girl in front of him, she dissipated in front of him. Damn, just a clone.  Spinning on his heels with his katana at the ready, he viewed a vacant landscape.  Taking a look inside the cavern, Ichirou was surprised to see the girl's fan protruding ground. The only thing that was down there was the fan.  Realizing he was at a serious disadvantage not knowing where the girl was, he looked about him and saw nothing but the fan.  Still angry about how she had aimed the fan at his crotch, Ichirou decided he needed to follow through with his plan.

He'd already given away his chakra natures, yet at the same time, so did she.  The fan obviously meant Wind chakra, and after seeing it shoot from the ground meant she had Earth chakra nature as well.  He could definitely use this information to his advantage considering his own chakra natures.  Also, there was the fact of the quick speed of the girl's fan.  If the fan's speed correlated to her own speed, then Ichirou was at a disadvantage.  His Bukijutsu techniques would need work in order to catch up to a faster opponent. Also, utilizing a giant fan was indeed a weapon in its own right as also a great addition for her wind chakra, meaning she knew both Ninjutsu and a form of Bukijutsu just like himself. Considering all this information, he had gathered all of the basic information which he needed to defeat her.  Quickly he formulated plans in his head and made his move.

With the girl's fan in the open, he'd take advantage of this opportunity to eliminate her only weapon.  Ichirou noted as he set himself up that the real girl was yet to appear before him.  He jumped down to the fan, landing in a smooth roll and right as he came into a crouch before the fan, he made two swift slashes left to right and then reversed for the second slash at the open fan, which if it struck the fan would be rendered useless in its torn state.  As he made his attack, Ichirou was weary of an attack on him, knowing that this was most likely a trap set by his opponent.  He secretly waited for the trap to be sprung.

Curious.

Instead of using a long-range attack to get the job done, her opponent had chosen to jump down and take care of the fan himself. At this point, Mihou could not tell if her cover had been blown or not, but she could anticipate what Ichirou was going to try seconds before he did. After all, it was fairly obvious: He would rely on his katana to destroy Sawai's weapon. Whether Yagatsuki would choose to enhance its cutting power with wind chakra -Practice which was fairly common among ninja like him-, the girl did not know...

But she would not take any chances. Under the disguise her Transformation Jutsu had created, she would prepare her counter-attack...

Right as Ichirou slashed through the fan for the first time, the weapon was covered in a puff of smoke. In just an instant it would disappear, revealing the true form of the blonde Kunoichi, who had been clearly cut by her opponent's blade. The attack was so fast that it gave the injury no time to bleed before the second slash landed. The damage she had taken was not life-threatening, but it was concerning to say the least. Perhaps it would be safe to end the match and avoid causalities.

However, at that moment...

Sawai Mihou's body disappeared, leaving behind a stalactite of considerable size.

Yagatsuki had slashed through a replacement... Which meant the real Mihou...!

---Was somewhere else.

She had just landed behind the man. With her fan once again strapped on her back, the girl decided to prolong the fight and not deliver a powerful attack to the back of Ichirou's head. The blonde Kunoichi wanted to test him further. No, perhaps the word 'test' was wrong... What Mihou really wanted was to teach Ichirou a lesson, so his defeat would not be fruitless. She did this as a favor to a fellow Sunagakure comrade... Although her silent and arrogant attitude hid her intentions quite well, probably giving the wrong message.

"Doton:" In just a second, Sawai had finished the small strings of hand seals needed to perform this technique. "Doryu Taiga."

The ground under Ichirou's feet would turn into a river of mud, throwing him off balance. Seeing as he had been in a crouching position at the time he had executed the slashes, it would be easier for him to fall to the floor in be dragged easily by the current. He would hit his body against the countless obstacles present in the cave until the wave of mud stopped -Fortunately for him, the range of the technique was lacking-, and probably eat some mud on the process. If he wasn't a stubborn man and Mihou was lucky, perhaps he would even let go of his katana, buying her some time while he attempted to retrieve it.

Tough love, as they call it.

It seemed to be just as he had thought, more or less, Ichirou came to realize as he cut through the fan.  Immediately at his first slash the fan disappeared in a brief puff of smoke, instead the girl stood before him with a line cut in her midriff.  Transformation, huh?  His second slice came back to make contact again, instead a second puff of smoke and now the girl was gone, replaced by a stalactite.  Damn this girl and her infernal tricks!  She was quite the clever little minx, always appearing to be one place and really being somewhere next.  Usually close by.

The trap had been sprung, as the girl landed behind him.  Ichirou only had enough time to turn halfway around before the ground gave way beneath him.  Losing his balance, he fell into the moving ground with a slight splash.  What the hell?  Ichirou had landed on his left shoulder and had to twist onto his back to see where the suddenly made mudstream took him.  Bending his head forward he saw several stalagmites coming to meet him as well as the broken stalactite that was used in the girl's substitution.  Trying to maneuver his body in the flowing mud to miss the stalagmites, he instead got himself struck by the stalactite, it's sharp point digging into his stomach.  To the onlookers it looked like the match was over, but just as the stalactite seemed to push into the skin, Ichirou's body was lost in a puff of smoke.  The stalactite's tip broke off as it made contact with a broken stalagmite.

Hiding behind some stalagmites approximately 7 meters behind the girl was Ichirou.  How do you like the taste of your own medicine?  He was quite mad now at all the tricks this girl seemed to have up her sleeve.  This time however it was his trap that he had laid all along and she sprung it wonderfully.  Already having breathed three whirlwind balls in his left hand, he stepped out of his hiding place and shot them at his opponent's back where she wouldn't see them coming.  One ball was aimed at her hips, the second at her chest, and the third at her head.  If any of them struck her she would be in for serious pain, especially if the third ball struck her in the head.  That was the best case scenario for Ichirou.

Taking into account the girl's recent feats of speed, he also used his katana in his right hand, summoning wind chakra to his blade he swung an angled upward slash, shooting a concentrated wave of wind chakra that was aimed to her right and then finished with a similarly angled downward slash that would go to her left.  The slashes themselves would start from above her head and stretch to her arms, however they weren't aimed at her, but just enough to her right and left to get her if she tried to dodge the three whirlwind balls heading her way.  The slight angle and position of these slashes were also high and long enough to catch her if she jumped up, catching her with both slashes.

His plan seemed to be flawless as all points of escape were covered.  As his attacks soared in the air, Ichirou couldn't help himself as he rang out, "Let's see you get out of this one!"  His short temper had hit its peak, and Ichirou wished he hadn't said that.  His foster father had always warned him to control his temper, but as short as it was, this was the best Ichirou could do.

Sawai Mihou still didn't know when her opponent had managed to perform the seals for his 'Replacement Technique'. After all, the girl had used her 'Mud River Technique' when Ichirou was still recovering from an attack of his own. This meant that Yagatsuki had most likely used a replacement between the time he got caught in the current and the time his fake body got struck with a stalactite.

With a sword in his hand, it sounded more like dumb luck than skill. Still, it had been enough to catch the blonde kunoichi off guard, so it was something worth of praise...

"...!"

Still, the distance between them was enough to allow someone like Sawai Mihou, whose reflexes had been honed to the limit through training, to turn around and react. This didn't make the situation any better, as Ichirou had made an effort to make his attack hard to dodge. With three air balls fired at different parts of her body and two air slices to block her escape routes, there was nothing the girl could do to avoid taking a hit. As much as it hurt to admit it, she wasn't as proficient in the art of replacement to use it twice in a row.

Sawai wouldn't lie: She was intelligent and capable, but she lacked experience on the field. So while she knew what she had to do next; it would be the first time she did it.

---Sacrifice.

Ninjas were always met with situations like this, where there was no choice but to take some damage. What should be the response of a leader to this kind of problem? If that person intended to have the team complete the mission assigned, then the answer was very simple: 'Cut your losses'. Many inexperienced ninjas did not know of this cruel reality, but there were times where a member of the team had to be sacrificed in order to allow the rest of the group to continue.

Here, it was no different.

In the last moment before the 'wind bullets' connected, Mihou moved to her left. Thanks to the delay between each attack, she had a full second to react to the slash that came to intercept her, although the time would not be enough for her to evade that attack as well.

So the girl simply used her fan to tank it. Placing it in a way that it would follow the direction of the slash was enough to block it. Sawai knew that this came with a cost, as it meant to push the limits of her weapon, but she was fine with the result. With that taken care of, the girl peacefully walked towards her opponent.

"Not bad, ugly."
With little over four meters between them, the girl stopped her march and dared to provoke her opponent. "Try to keep up."

Then, opening her giant fan enough to reveal the three circles painted in it, she waved it, creating a great current of wind and dust.

"Fūsajin no Jutsu!"
Sawai Mihou would then use the distraction to run deeper into the cave and hide among its darkness.

Damn, this girl's tough!  Ichirou was even more angered, slowly boiling into a rage now.  The girl was quite fast enough to react to his attacks.  She was even smart enough to use her fan to block the jutsu.  Why she decided to rush into it was beyond his thinking, though what she did in her attack was genius.  Even in his anger, he could definitely respect this girl's sharp mind and cunning technique.  Although he was starting to wonder if he'd be able to win this match, seeing her skill before him.

"Not bad, ugly. Try to keep up." Her insult hit Ichirou while he was already boiling.  Usually that wouldn't affect him, but he was so close to losing it that the insult sent him over the edge.  He rushed his opponent instantly at the insult even though in his mind he knew it wasn't the best choice.  Just as he came up to the girl, she had pulled out her fan for a swing.  Flinching instinctively, Ichirou used his control of his hair to whip itself in front of his body.  The fan's swing crossed in front of his face as he charged, the jutsu hitting Ichirou's chakra-infused hair.  His instincts had been right to infuse wind-chakra into his hair, the jutsu being thoroughly blocked by his long hair.

With the wind jutsu blocked, Ichirou sent his hair back behind him, just catching sight of the girl as she went to hide in the darkness of one of the tunnels.  Rushing after her, he directed lightning chakra into the darkness, lighting it up as he saw the girl in hiding.  "You can't get away from me that easily!"  He still had the upper hand with his jutsu, and he had the girl running.  Ichirou wanted to end this fight here and now!

Well, it was not like Sawai Mihou had not expected to be found. After all, her opponent had already shown some proficiency with the lightning element, so a basic illumination Jutsu had not been out of her calculations. What the girl did not like was the timing: Ichirou had managed to catch up to her faster than what she’d have liked. And while her open fan had slowed her down to some extent, the dust cloud should have had a similar effect on the maroon haired boy… Sawai had failed to catch a glimpse of Yagatsuki’s technique, but she suspected he possessed a defense against jutsus of the wind element, something which would explain his reckless actions at the beginning of the match.

Although, once more, Ichirou had been careless.

“Had that been anything but dirt, you could have blown both of us to pieces.” Mihou commented as she closed her open fan and walked outside her hiding spot. “I take it you’ve heard of ‘dust explosions’ before, right? A lot of people die each year because of them…”

It was unclear at the time whether the blonde Kunoichi was trying to buy herself some time or if she was genuinely giving her opponent a friendly warning for next time.

“In any case…”
After cracking her neck, Sawai decided to cut the chase. “Look around you. The purpose of the technique I’ve used was not just to blind you. It concentrated dust in a five meter radius, making the area extremely slippery. Running after me like that… You could have hurt yourself.”

In a way, the girl was trying to calm the boy down and make him think. This came out as a little strange, given that she had just provoked him a moment earlier. Mihou would remain alert through her speech, in case Yagatsuki did not possess the necessary patience to listen through it all.

“Listen. I’ve only recently became a Genin. I’ve got no desire to become a Chunin this early… And you being a ninja of the same village, I could very well let you advance to the next round. But you got to give me a reason to believe you will not be killed… You’d be up against one of two ninjas who, unlike me, are pretty powerful… Trust me, if you let emotions get the best of you this easily, you’ll wind up dead in no time.”

With that said, and assuming Ichirou had let her finish, Sawai Mihou would shrug.

“So fight creatively for once. Use the environment to your advantage. Think of where we stand and the things I’ve told you. There is plenty to work with. Do that and I will surrender.”

Surprisingly, the girl had stopped trying to hide or run.  Instead she approached Ichirou, declaring that he was some sort of idiot.  He didn't get mad, however, her comments actually cooling him down as he started to laugh out loud.  His laughter echoing into the dark tunnels.  For all the clever tricks and maneuvers that this girl had performed, she hadn't pieced everything together yet.

"You misjudge me, kunoichi."  Ichriou said, keeping his Raiton energy in a playful dance across his left hand for light.  "You are right in how it would have been dangerous for me to use lightning if dust particles had been in the air.  However, it seems in your hurry to hide that you missed what exactly I did with your jutsu.  Funny, such a clever girl like you and yet you don't really get it all, do you?"  Ichirou kicked his right foot at the ground, a puff of dust kicked up and slowly fell back to the ground.  Stepping a bit closer to the girl, he spoke softly to make sure no one else would hear.  "You must keep this a secret: my hair is quite special and it blocked you're jutsu from working, making it just a waste of your own chakra."

Ichirou was grinning now, holding up the sword to the girl's throat, just barely pressing on the soft skin.  "But don't ever underestimate me.  You may think I'm reckless and follow my emotions, but that's my plan.  I use my emotions to focus, to hunt, and to survive.  I'm best in close combat as you no doubt realized, and my little 'outburst' was just enough to show you where I was.  You see, I wanted you to come at me, and you did, although it would've worked just as well if you'd gotten hit by my longer range jutsu.  I like things up close and personal, just like this."  He pressed a little harder on her throat, his raiton jutsu still going and ready if she tried anything.

"I'm not going to give you reasons for why you should give up,"  Ichirou looked into her eyes, still suspicious of her and for good reason.  Her actions had been anything but honest up to this point, so he doubted her words were as well.  "But I suggest you do so if you don't really care about being a Chuunin.  I didn't come all this way and fight hard to hear how you really don't have a desire to continue.  If that's truly the case, then announce that you forfeit."

He kept his katana pressed on her throat, ready make a cut if she tried to move, and zap her pretty little body with his lightning chakra if needed.  She was a Suna-nin just like him, but in this match, he didn't trust her one bit.  Ichirou did know though, that if things were different and they were fighting as allies, he'd trust her judgement to his death.

The girl's silence made Ichirou too suspicious, and he prepared for the worst. This girl seemed to have a lot of tricks up her sleeve, so he didn't know what might come next. Still, he needed to finish this match, and if she wasn't going to surrender, he'd have to win the hard way. Without hesitating any longer he added pressure on her neck and slid the blade across her skin. He was sure that a strike like this, if it truly was her that he sliced, would be enough to end the match.

Just in case she did anything, he sent the sparks of lightning in his left hand at her, to give her first degree burns on her legs. Ichirou hoped the shock, if hit, would at least hurt her when she moved. That was, if she got away from this. The match wasn't too long, but then again, he didn't know how long he'd like it to last. The girl was too clever to just let the match continue until one of them ran out of chakra. He needed to finish the match with this attack now or risk losing the match later.
