Takeshi

Takeshi

Retired
After what seemed like a long time, Takeshi was finally promoted from Chuunin, to Special Jounin. Which basically meant that he was a Jounin in training, he still had quite a ways to go before he was a full fledged Jounin. His rank was a major accomplishment, not too many ninja made to his rank. Some ninja either gave up, or got killed in action which was a very sad thing indeed. Thanks to his new rank, Takeshi was able to lead a group of Genin if he pleased. Takeshi himself wasn’t ready to do such a thing, he still had much to learn himself, and he didn’t have much to teach. The only thing he really knew about that was teachable was ninjutsu. Fuuinjutsu was too complex, and there was still things that Takeshi was learning about it. In any case, he was just happy with this new rank, he didn’t plan on staying this rank forever though. He wanted to be a Jounin soon, in order to do that, he would have to prove himself like he had to do with his past ranks. In celebration of his new rank, Takeshi’s family decided to eat out. They chose to eat at some fancy restaurant that Takeshi couldn’t even pronounce. He ate there with his mother and father, and of course his father got slightly tipsy while his mother just sat there and laughed. Takeshi was also laughing at his father, he was telling jokes and being loud. After they got to eat their meal, they decided to go home because his father got a little too drunk. Takeshi himself chose to not go home yet, he just got a new book that he wanted to read. He wanted to go somewhere high and comfortable to read it, he really liked the night air that blew at this time of night.

Takeshi jumped on top of a nearby rooftop and tried to spot a high place. Then, to his left he saw the hokage mountain, on it, the faces of all the past Hokage of his village. He wasn’t sure if there was any rule about being on the mountain, but he decided to try it anyway. He had never been on the mountain before, he had never even met the current Hokage before. Which he thought was pretty normal, the Hokage was probably busy with his duties. Takeshi jumped from different rooftops to get to the mountain. After a few minutes, Takeshi arrived at the mountain, but he wasn’t sure how to get on the mountain. Takeshi searched around in confusion, trying to see if there were stairs or something to get on the mountain in the first place. After several moments of confusion, Takeshi found the stairs and he was on the mountain in no time. The view from the mountain was something he had never experienced before. Takeshi could see the whole village from this spot, the cool night air was gently caressing his long hair. Takeshi put up a hand seal and then put his hand on the ground which caused his book to appear. Takeshi loved his clan’s techniques, they have come in handy so many times. Takeshi read the title of the book which read “The Red String” which sounded girly. In truth, Takeshi was a sucker for love novels, maybe as much as he loved manga, but he would never tell anybody that. Which is why he keeps it sealed in the void, only his mother would be able to get it out, it was a good thing she didn’t know about it.

Takeshi sat down on the mountain with the moon over his right shoulder. Using it as a natural light, Takeshi read over the first few chapters. As he read, he was quickly enthralled by the main character as she met the boy of her dreams. It was beautiful, but that was interrupted by a bright orange light that Takeshi could see in the distance. From the distance Takeshi was at, he couldn’t tell what was happening. He walked to the edge of the mountain to try and get a better look, it was still sketchy, but it kind of looked like flames. Takeshi jumped off the mountain and used his chakra to slide down the mountain at a decent speed. Once he was close enough, he jumped onto a nearby roof and started to pick up speed. As he got closer to the light he could see other people starting to move towards to light as it got brighter. The closer Takeshi got, the more he could start to tell what the light was, and then it hit him, it was a fire. Looking to right and then his left, he could see some more ninja behind him that also went to go investigate. There wasn’t much Takeshi could do to put of the fire by himself, so it was good to get some kind of backup. Once they got to the fire, Takeshi counted the number of ninja that was with him, the number was four. From the looks of it, at least two of them were of Chuunin rank. However, there wasn’t much time to form up by rank, Takeshi instructed all those who water element to use their jutsu to quell the flames. Takeshi himself acted by running back and forth with buckets of water.

By the time the flames were gone, the ninja were exhausted. The ninja that didn’t have the water element went inside the complex and found a boy. As it turned out, he was in the Sarutobi clan practising some kind of new fire element jutsu. What Takeshi didn’t find out until later, was that the place they were at was the Sarutobi’s main clan house. Takeshi’s heart skipped a beat when he found out about this, he didn’t realise that was the case. As he talked with the other ninja about the incident, he remembered that he left his book back at the mountain.
