Sousetsu awoke from his slumber. The day was fair with a small chill in the wind. He began his morning as routine by washing himself followed by cleaning his teeth with a brush and some toothpaste. He got dressed in his casual one piece black jumpsuit and ruffled his hair in the mirror to his liking. He made his way downstairs to find some bread that he would use for toast and washing it down with apple juice, his favourite. He turned to notice his new katana that was waiting for him by the coat rack near the door. He unsheathed the weapon and took further inspection to it. The blade was three feet and three inches long with silver linings, black customized handle. Satisfied with the quality of the blade he sheathed it once again and placed along his lower back, sliding it side-wards for ease before making his way to the Hokage's office.

Sousetsu was glancing through his personal profile upon his arrival in the Hokage's office as he waiteed for the mission holders. The list of missions were greatly satisfying as the nostalgia ran through his head of all the past memories and success that came hand in hand. He then pondered that with the amount of missions he had accomplished and all of them being a success that it may be time for him to become Jounin and start his ninja way of passing on his dreams and ambitions to the underlings he would call his team.

After finishing reading his personal profile the mission holders had entered the room and proceeded to sit around the table before him. "Senju, Sousetsu. We are glad you are here. We have a new mission for you. An A rank." Sousetsu's eyes widened slightly, shocked to hear that a mission of this caliber was given to him. He stood tall and proud with his hands by his side, looking straight as though he was looking out at the distance. The group of people rustled through papers which they brought in with them and searched for a specific document. Finding the document in question their gaze returned to Sousetsu and read the mission statement. "A Konoha shinobi was found dead in the early hours of the morning. Witness reports of arguing and later investigations indicate foul play. The shinobi's partner, a jounin by the name of Fukawa Sora, matched the eyewitness account given to investigators and can not be found. It is assumed she has defected and left the village. All oi-nin are currently on assignment, so the task falls to you. A blood trail indicates she may be injured and traveling slowly, so time is of the essence. Find and subdue Fukawa Sora by any means necessary. If she engages combat, you have express permission to kill her. Do you accept?" Sousetsu seemed quite hesitant. The mission involved the killing or capturing of a Jounin ranked ninja, a truly admirable opponent.

With much thought and careful planning of the situations he may find himself in while on the mission Sousetsu gave his answer with a formal bow and accepted the mission. The group of people rustled through more papers with pens scribbling down information that was not visible for Sousetsu. They returned to Sousetsu once again and explained the situation in further detail. "Fukawa Sora is not to be trifled with. She is proficient in the fields of both kenjutsu and taijutsu, and is known to always carry two high-quality tantos everywhere she goes. In addition, Sora possesses immense skill that compliments her swordplay and close-quarters combat. The fact that she has no known ninjutsu or genjutsu techniques aside from academy jutsu should be noted as well. It is highly thought among jounin ranks that Sora has higher levels of endorphins than most ninja, indicative of her known immunity to most forms of pain. Her aggressiveness and wild combat forms belie her intelligence and cunning - do not mistake brash movements for recklessness. Here is the document with all the details following." the people made clear whilst handing Sosuetsu the parchment. Sousetsu nodded once again and made his way out. The target would not go down easily and could prove to be the most difficult missions Sousetsu had taken so far as a Leaf ninja, but he had the upper hand as he had knowledge on his side. It would be soon enough when Sousetsu would formulate some sort of plan upon further reading into his target.

Upon reaching the Leaf villages main gates, the two guards were standing in an area just outside of the premises. Sousetsu made his way and nodded with a confused and intrigued look on his face. The two shinobi allowed Sousetsu to look which he then found drops of blood on the earth before them. "About a half a days journey away if you ask me." one of the guards outputted. He was acknowledged by his partner in agreement and they both brought their focus back to Sousetsu. "Thanks guys. You get a visual?" he asked in hopes of a helpful answer. The two looked at each other and scratched the back of their head and looked to the skies before sighing. "She was just wearing black, that's all we saw. She was quite fast I have to admit." Sousetsu nodded and thanked them once more. He knelt down and placed two fingers on the blood before sniffing it and rubbing it away on the grass to the side. He waved slightly and headed out to find the woman he was sent for.

He traveled by ground level, running in a constant pace. He neither slowed or sped up and didn't seem to run out of breath and continued for the half of days journey accompanied by nothing but a faint trail of blood. He then decided to rest on a tree branch as he completed the half a days journey. He thought that the woman was sure to rest after an injury such as this. leaving so much blood despite however faint it was. He retrieved the parchment from his pouch and glanced at the details. Some was already what was told to Sousetsu beforehand but there was other information which were alien to him before now. He glanced under the category of her personality, 'Highly aggressive both in and out of combat. Doesn't enjoy casual conversation and is known to initiate and partake in conflicts over very fickle events. Prone to violence.' Sousetsu only sighed in return. She was the exact opposite to Sosuetsu adn was everything he hated.

He mustered up the will to read further on and seen what really motivated her. 'Until recently, it was thought that Sora's main motivation was protecting Konoha, but that has since been disproved given her alleged actions. It is most likely that her current motivations entail personal gain - power and money are both plausible candidates for her actions.' Sousetsu removed his katana from his lower back and placed it across his legs so that his elbows rested on it. Something then grabbed his attention. The sub title names 'Fears' had some interesting details for Sousetsu, 'Fukawa Sora is known to dislike large bodies of water, and has an immense phobia regarding being completely submersed in water. However, being encountered with such a scenario has been noted to increase her volatility and efficacy in battle.' The water release was Sousetsu's prefered style of element of course, and this could prove quite useful when it would come to their inevitable battle. He folded up the parchment and stored it into his pouch for the last time and made his way onward after relieving himself of the quick rest he had generously given himself.

Before long, Sousetsu arrived at the 'Rolling Hills', an area of lush, green rolling hills outside of the village of Konoha. Streams were seen flowing about the area, providing the life that gives the hills their beauty, a remarkable scene he thought to himself. Near one of the streams, he noticed a woman dressed in an attire of black who seemed to be prodding at her leg. It was the target, Fokawa Sora, tending to her wound. He waited until it was cleaned and bandaged before approaching the woman. "Fokawa Sora, I have been assigned for your apprehension. Please come quie--" Sousetsu was cut off by the woman who drew her blades and began to charge at him with haste. Sousetsu instantly reacted by withdrawing his katana from its sheath and parried the first two strikes with the opponents tantos and finally reaching a deadlock with the third strike. As the two gazed into each others eyes as the blades stood between them they both jumped back to which the woman landed with one knee down to the ground.

Sousetsu's head lowered and his eyes closed. "You are wounded. You will not win this fight." he stated with confidence. "I refuse to go with you, bastard." she bluntly replied. It was safe to say that running was the better option as she would be treated as a traitor to the Leaf ninja is she ever did return. Sousetsu was given the options of either apprehending this woman but was authorized for her slaying if she attacked, which she had. Being given a choice, Sosuetsu would choose to let the woman live and face the law instead of her being put to death by his hand. He believed in the political side of war, drawing conclusions from discussions as opposed to the 'shoot first, ask questions later' attitude. He needed to know more about the woman and her motives before drawing his own conclusion on the matter. A person of the Leaf had died by her hand which was treacherous enough for her capture but Sousetsu also like the idea of getting in the mind of his opponent in situations like these. They readied themselves for another attack before charging at each other once again and coming to a deadlock once more. "So why did you do it?"

The blades trembled against one another. Sousetsu gave a cold look to the woman opposite him while her eyes widened. "We are ninja, we get paid for killing people, it's what we do. What's it to you?" the woman replied with a hint of anguish in her voice. Sousetsu remained transfixed on her face as she told him that it was all about the money in the end. Angered, he pushed the blades forward onto the woman who then preceded to place her foot on Sousetsu's lower abdomen and vault him over. As he landed, he almost instantly returned to his original stance with his feet placed solidly on the earth. "You killed a man of your own village for a price. That is unforgivable." Sousetsu exclaimed gripping the hilt of the katana tighter than before. The woman smirked and nodded in agreement. He glanced down at her wound once more, it was her only hindrance and yet, would be her downfall.

They parried each others blades once again before Sosuetsu added a kick to the wounded leg causing her to drop to one knee. Sousetsu looked down at her just he had felt like he was doing inside his mind. She was scum, nothing more to him. There was no remorse shown and all for a personal gain of a large amount of coin for her efforts. She basically sold her life when she committed the crime of betrayal in Konaha. He heated the blade within his grasp and placed it along the wound cauterizing it causing the bleeding to stop. The woman flinched and push him while she had the chance to retreat back a few steps. She looked at her wound and back to Sousetsu with another confused expression on her face. This could be because Sousetsu voluntarily healed the wound or the fact that his blade could heat up and gave away that ability of what was unknown. She did not stop to ask but simply returned to her battle stance readying for the next attack. Sousetsu sheathed his katana and performed his hand seals for a technique to aid in his battle against the now formidable foe.

With four water clones by his side they all simultaneously withdrew their weapons and charged towards the woman once more. Surrounded, the woman had shown her true colours seeing only red for the fight that had been provoked. In a rage, she engaged on the closest clone and managed to slip by his defenses and causing the water that was exerted from its demise to be scattered over her. Her eyes widened as the fear of water began to seep through. She backed off, leading to the stream of water before engaging once more to parry the the swiftness of the multiple blades that were aiming for her. the remaining three clones leaped into the air above before being released above her head. As she was focused on the three, the original Sousetsu seen his opportunity and engaged head on. As the clones turned to water before even being hit, it came as a surprised to be covered in water once more, causing her eyes to close for the real Sousetsu to cut a few tendons along her arms as she was distracted. She fell to her knees screaming in pain. Her inability to use her arms left her at a great disadvantage.

Sousetsu pushed his weapon back in its sheath before angrily grabbing the woman's hair and dragging her over to the stream, forcing her head into the rushing waters. The woman could be heard gurgling on the water before Sousetsu lifting her now soaked head. Her eyes had shown the fear once more. "Please! Stop it!" she pleaded as her head was being forced into the waters once more. He pulled her head back once more and his head came to meet hers. "Why should I? You could have stopped that contract but you killed a man in his own home and in cold blood!" Sousetsu's anger was fueled by the very idea of the treacherous act. It was the very peak of his loathings, a truly unforgivable act in his mind. "You said you were to apprehend me, did you not?" she trembled. Sousetsu sighed thinking of the mission and his morals. This woman deserved to die and by her worst fear at that but he was given the option of letting her live. The person's family would probably want to see the justice served before them on a warm plate.

He closed his eyes as he dunked her head once more into the waters for a few more seconds. She began to breathe heavily when she emerged once more, "You bastard! I will fu---" she was interrupted with a chop to the neck. Sousetsu sighed as he had chosen to let the woman live even though the satisfaction of her death would bring clarity to his person. It was not his decision he thought to himself though. It was up to the victims family to decide her fate. Who knows? Maybe he would be contracted to kill her by that family in which he would do free of charge. She was the definition of scum in his books. He bound her arms and legs in rope and placed her over his shoulder before beginning his journey back the the village hidden in the Leaves.  The trail of blood would lead him back the same route as he had gotten here. The rain began to show itself on the way back as Sousetsu continued his journey. The cool water seemed to affect him in his anger, cooling his head and diverting it from the person he carried. The rain did often leave that affect on people. It controlled our very emotions and changed them for better and for worse.

He arrived to Konaha as the moon was at its fullest. The guards looked in awe as Sousetsu made his way to the holding cells with the woman as his villain. He placed her behind the bars of the cell still bound by the rope. She was dangerous after all with her specialties of kenjutsu and taijutsu. He had won this day because of her injury and exhaustion of her escape alone, the battle was indeed decided in his favour before Sousetsu even made a move, all he had to do was not slip up. He returned to the Hokage's office and logged in the mission as a success. With another A rank mission under his belt, Sousetsu had sure come a long way from being in the academy. He was becoming more and more renowned for his skills and would surely be on his way to having his own team accompanied by the title of Jounin. It was only a matter of time.
