The Mission:

The fires would rise over the village hidden in the mist as the third and final of the colossal beasts would continue its rampage across the market district of the city. Slamming its fist into a Chuunin and crushing her ribs into little more than paste, massive crystal blades rending through flesh as it would hurl her across the market, barrelling her through a building before it would charge its ruby beam within its jaw. Unleashing it upon civilians and ninja alike as they would leap in an attempt to defend them with hastily prepared jutsu, only for them to shatter outwards in a primal show of power. The monster was large, powerful, and the ninja of the village had been taken totally unaware. While hunter ninja were likely on their way as well as on assignment, the home guard for the nation was busy with the first phase of attempting to isolate the damage, evacuate people and lock down the area.

Massive barriers were about to be raised at a moments notice, but in the meantime, at ground zero people were dying... it was time for the ninja that were there to rise up.

Strafe blitzed through the streets at incredible speeds. He passed screaming people and injured all around him. His medic training screamed help, but he had to keep going. He was offense today and one of the only people around who could take one of these things. Momaru, the arctic lion, ran beside him at equal speeds. He couldn't believe someone would be so brash as to send an attack on the village directly. Did Kirigakure's name not carry the same weight it once did? He furrowed his eyebrows as he continued, passing genin directing civilians and chunin running in just to scream a few minutes later. What the hell was this thing? It was like Momaru was aware of the question as he spoke. "It's a weird smell, whatever it is, it's strong and destroying ninja on the other side of that building." The lion's head pointed towards a tall building that had massive damage. Without speaking, the two headed directly around it to the other side, and what they saw was just horrible.

The bodies of several kirigakure ninja laid around as the creature held a poor chunin in his hands. They were lifted above his head until suddenly they were crashing on the creatures knee, their back snapping with a sick sound. Strafe did not seemed fazed though. That was nothing compared to surgery. He pulled out both staffs as the monster turned to look at the two of them with excitement in it's eyes. This was not going to be easy. It was as if they all three moved simultaneously. A blur of speed was all that was seen as Momaru went in first for a slash at the monster. It used the opening the opening to step in and grab the lion. That was it's first mistake. Strafe slid under the lion's legs, aiming the Staff of the Hurricane's at his targets chest. A small portion of chakra was all it took to let forth a whirlwind of futon chakra. The attack sent even that heavy beast up and into the air, Momaru using that opportunity to get free. Strafe's eyes glistened as the light hit them. He was about to prove a point to their enemies. He would not allow any further disrespect.

He darted into the air, activating more chakra as a blade of wind started to form at the end of his staff. He then spun in mid air, throwing 5 of those blades back to back at the monster. Simultaneously, Momaru darted to the right, getting behind the monster. The lion used his own chakra to turned the hairs of his mane into needles. He shot them off, both attacks nearing their target at almost the same time. Strafe watched as both attacks cut up the body of the creature a lot less than it should have. The creature then descended, hitting the ground hard only to get up and groan slightly at the fall. What the hell was wrong with this thing. The former Sannin landed gracefully as Momaru reappeared back at his side. "Looks like Ninjutsu isn't very effective. Let's try some up close combat on it." Strafe spoke in a firm voice, taking the lead in the situation as he should. He got into his stance, with Momaru ready to fight beside him.

The large creature then did something that surprised Strafe completely. The chest of the crystal covered creature glowed before shooting off a beam of some sort. Strafe moved quickly with his hands, using the jutsu in the nick of time. A wall of ice appeared before them, blocking the attack, but shattering in the collision. "He's coming!" Momaru spoke quickly as Strafe heard the creatures footsteps coming. Strafe decided to use Momaru as a spring board to meet the creature in mid-air. The creature tried to hit Strafe with his arm, but Strafe glanced the blow off of his bo-staff. The bladed staff then came across the chest of the beast, dinging a certain middle piece. That looked important. It may not be a medical matter, but something must be powering the creature. Strafe then pushed off his stomach with a kick, allowing him to jump back to Momaru, but the creature was tired of being juggled. It snatched the Sannin out of mid air and threw him down at the ground hard.

Momaru was there just in time to break Strafe's fall, causing them both to crash decently hard. The Creature was getting up at this point, and the Sannin knew his goal. He had to hit that crystal some more to get some real damage in. They also got to their feet and locked eyes again. Strafe then decided it was time to get serious. He put the staff of hurricanes on his back, strapping it in the holster before holding just his Seven Swordsmen of the Mist blade, Raidachi. He smiled as he started to spin it, giving it a single charge of raiton energy. This level wouldn't suffice though, He needed a lot more power than this level to be effective. Momaru nodded as he placed himself in front of strafe. It was time to play defensive until the attack was ready. He needed some time though, and he with his eye and a few jutsu in mind, he was sure he had a bit of time.

It seemed like forever had passed in those few seconds. Then the creature took off again like a rocket, dashing towards Strafe. However, Momaru was there in a heart beat, putting his full body weight into a swipe towards the giant thing. The creature simply bellowed as it turned to the lion and hit Momaru in the shoulder. Strafe heard a pop as he watched the leg jump out of place. How strong is this thing? He then threw raidachi in the air, still spinning, and formed a few hand signs. He slammed his hands on the ground and then a rushing torrent of Ice chakra was starting to build in front of him. He caught the blade without missing a beat. A second later, a avalanche of snow and ice was rushing towards, the creature, sweeping him off his feet and towards a building. This was Strafe's chance to heal his friend. He ran over to his companion. "He just popped it out, here." He held out his paw and strafe immediately yanked it back into place with one arm. "Be careful, this thing has plenty of ways to make this harder." He spoke calmly as something glistened out of the corner of his eye.

He darted back suddenly as the two separated to dodge. Guess who was back. Strafe frowned as he saw the creatures crystal power down as the thing jumped into the air to cross a long distance. He landed about five meters from the duo, making sure to try to look as intimidating as possible. Strafe took the opportunity to charge more chakra into his blade, making it shine brilliantly as it continued a circular motion in strafe' hands. The light was so bright it left an after trail as if it was one oval weapon. Then all three moved at the same time, rushing in. The large creature took a swipe at Strafe's head, but the Sannin was able to bend backwards as it whooshed over his head. Momaru took the opportunity to slam his body into the creature's chest, causing the crystal to crack a little more as it was knocked a few meters away. What it didn't know was that Strafe moved behind him and placed two hard kicks, redirecting it into one of the buildings of the are that was abandoned.

It wouldn't be too much longer now. The raiton chakra jumped off his spinning blade as he returned to Momaru's side. It was almost ready. After all the attacks and fighting, the only thing he had managed to damage on this thing was the chest piece. Everywhere else still looked good as new. Anger started to form in Strafe' eyes as he then saw a lonely genin creeping up to the large monster. As it started to go after it's targets, the little girl tried to seal it. "NO, it's too strong!" Strafe yelled, but it was too late The enemy had already swung it's arm, separating the girl's head from her shoulder. It was gruesome and a horrible way to go. He would make sure this thing paid for all the Kirigakure ninja it had killed. "No one else intervene. i have a plan for taking this thing down, and any help will get in my way." He spoke in an authoritative voice as he saw ninja start to back up and give him space. Good, he didn't want any of them to get caught in the crossfire.

It was weird, he actually felt like his cousin, Solstice. Where was she? Was she fighting one of the other creatures? Strafe had to get done here so that he could go check on her. He knew that Noxxi and Iro were safe with the rest of Iro's squad. Kenshin was watching over them, so he wasn't worried about them. If need be, Kenshin could just fly them away. The monster in front of him was starting to move a bit slower, a side effect of his blade's second charge state. He moved in with Momaru, making sure to weave around the creature, as they both landed simultaneous hits on it's chest. From the looks of it, it had taken some serious damage in that area. He just needed a bit longer. "I'm going to use it, don't look at my face Momaru." The Sannin was serious as he looked up with his right eye closed. It was time to take this thing down once and for all.

Momaru moved out of Strafe's field of vision as the Sannin's dojutsu started to sparkle all different colors. The pre-flash went off, getting the creatures attention quickly. It looked mesmerized by the beautiful eye, which was what Strafe wanted. With one more push of chakra, The Stunning Eye activated with the monster looking directly at him. The creature seemed to relax as it tried to figure out what the hell was going on. This was the effects of his dojutsu and he was proud of it. Now was his opportunity to go in on this beast. He dashed inward, pumping more chakra into raidachi as he moved in front of the creature. In response to the sudden movement, it smashed it's fists on the ground to create a shock wave. Strafe was ready because of the slow reaction timing. He jumped up, avoiding damage and waited until he was right over the creature to spin, aiming his feet away from the creature. Momaru was there in an instant, allowing blue chakra to dimly cover hs paw. Strafe made contact with it as the chakra transfer was complete. He then propelled himself off of the paw, flying at the monster from behind.

As soon as he was in range he threw his bladed weapon up in the air and formed multiple hand seals. Suddenly, the air around him had a sudden drop in temperature as it seemed like everything started to freeze around Strafe. Icey chakra vibrated off him wildly as he used this attack to make sure this would end the fight. Strafe landed a kick on the right shoulder of the beast. He used this foothold to jump off of the creature and propel himself up to his seven swordsman blade. As soon as his hand touched it, he started to spin it, allowing the buzz saw like motion to start. The blades of the weapon crackled with energy as it simply waiting on Strafe's command to extend the blades and cut this creature in half. The beast seemed to turn at the perfect opportunity as he felt the foot on him. It was at that moment that the blade activated. The raiton blades extended out and the former Sannin fell towards his target. If this didn't work, he still had an option or two, but he hoped he wouldn't have to do all that.

His Karisuma eye was still sparkling as he came down on the creature. The raiton saw was aimed at the chest of the creature, and it hit it's target. The creature bellowed as Strafe continued to drill into the crystal on it's chest. Out of pure pain reaction, the creature swung it's arm, blocking the last hit needed to break the weak point. Strafe darted around him realizing that legendary swords' ability was complete. He knew that the longer he was around this creature, the harder it would be for it too move, but with his strength he didn't know how much it would actually effect the creature. After dodging a wild swipe or two by the enemy, Strafe used a different jutsu. Medical chakra started to cover his hands as he brought his fingers together and put the second staff on his back. He didn't need his weapons for this.

He spun around the abomination once again, allowing the creature the once again become confused. That was the beautiful thing about the Stunning Eye. It's effects lasted for a while and made it hard to even discern what was going on for a normal rational ninja. This creature must not have an idea of what's going on. He went in taijutsu range on the target and started hitting as hard and as deep as possible with chakra scalpels. He must have got ten hits in and the only the creature got close to hitting Strafe, Momaru came in to cause a miss. With the tenth and final strike, the crystal shattered. The monster let out a hideous bellow as it started to fall apart from it's crystals.

As he watched the crystals of the beast start to fall away, they seemed to crumble as they fell. Well this would not do, as they needed the evidence to see what the hell was going on. The cold aura of chakra around him continued to intensify. Strafe's gorgeous eye close as he made a few more hand seals. Suddenly, a flash freeze of chakra went off around him and the enemies remains. Momaru was out of range, as were all civilians nearby. The parts of the creature froze solid at the flash of light and Hyouton chakra. It was one of his strongest techniques that dropped the temperature around him suddenly. It could freeze most nonliving things and made his opponents weaker. However, on this day it was used to preserve some crystals and other things. He tapped his wireless radio on his ear and spoke. "This is Strafe Aisu, I have felled one of the beasts and I have his remains here ready for transport. Send a team out to come retrieve it. I'm going to start doing damage control."

Momaru walked up as the jutsu wore off, making sure to stare the abomination's remains. "You probably need to start healing people. We have enough high ranking ninja to take care of these beasts." The lion was correct of course and so Strafe once again tapped his radio to turn it back on. "Strafe again, if you are a shinobi and are injured, please stay calm. If you can walk, come to me. I am over by the mizukage monument. If you can't move, tell us where you are so we can send Momaru to get you or come to you. All medics report to me for the rest of the day." He spoke calmly as he took lead over the situation. A subtle tap was all it took to turn off the comm. He immediately spotted the remains of the some of the ninja who died alongside him. They would not be forgotten. He would make sure of it. He shook his head and continued to look around. So many injured, he had to go ahead and start around him until reports came in.

He walked up to a Chunnin who had several parts that were broken and was struggling to breathe. A sigh was all it took before Strafe was creating the Ram seal and fueling chakra into a jutsu. A green aura radiated off of Strafe as he transferred chakra over to the boy. He had blood all over his clothes and his once blonde hair was no longer even close to it's natural color. Strafe flooded chakra into his body, watching as it started to heal quickly. Strafe had been doing this for quite some time, so he figured he had pretty good judgement. It wasn't long before other medics showed up and they sort of set up a mini first aid tent. The hospital was near the other attacks, so those people had help. He helped train most of the hospital staff, so he knew he could count on them.

Strafe took leadership in the tent and started to organize who went where and who treated them. He took on the more serious cases, but his chakra was precious to bring back those who were extremely injured. He talked through several on the spot surgeries and even managed to start chipping away at the numbers. However, he didn't have all that much time left before he had to go report in to Solstice. It seemed their enemies continued to grow by the second. For someone to unleash such a beast on a whole village, they must be evil or misguided. Strafe wove in between the traffic and chaos of the medical tent. Luckily, another squad of medics showed up just in time. They walked up with a Jounin leading them. "I can take over here. You go make sure she knows what took place here." Strafe nodded in agreement before watching them run over to his spot. Strafe exited the tent to see Momaru helping remove rubble off of bodies. He didn't really want to keep him from helping, so he let him be for the time being.

The sight of his village being attacked shook him, but now he was angry. His brows wrinkled as he thought of how someone could do something like this. He was ready to get some answers. He tapped his comm again before speaking. "This is Strafe. All medics now report to Shiro, he will be leading the charge here." He sighed as he started his walk back towards the crystals. It was around a corner. He could see the team of ninja carefully extracting the ice chunks and sealing them in scrolls to take as evidence. Strafe smiled as he knew that Ice was not going to melt until he allowed it. That meant that it was safe. He walked up to the team as they started to finish. "This takes priority one. I'll escort you back to the administration building." The three of them nodded before finally being ready to leave. They all four took off, making sure to let Strafe take point. He knew Momaru could help where he was and Strafe didn't need his help with this.

The trip was quick. They took no time to get there and Strafe stopped outside the front door with the other three behind him. "Go secure that. When Solstice arrives, let me know on the comm. She needs to see this as soon as possible." They scurried off to do just that as Strafe looked around and for the first time in hours, he could relax a second. He wanted to wait here for Solstice to return, but he also wanted to make sure his family was safe. He decided on the latter before taking off once again. He was currently headed towards their house. Today was supposed to be their last day in it before they moved to the manor with Sero. He just wanted to be sure that Iro and Noxxi were unharmed. The same applied to Kenshin, Nobuya, and Gattsu as well. He didn't know where the latter three were. Kenshin was probably on scene helping. He got distracted by his own thoughts as he approached his destination. However, Kenshin appeared before him a moment later. "They are fine, don't worry. I saw to that. I also know that the other two are fine as well. Breathe Strafe." Kenshin spoke calmly as Strafe smiled. Despite a bad situation, it looked like it all worked out. At least this time. Strafe nodded before speaking. "Thanks Kenshin, I owe you." He would smile before moving past him and walking towards his door. It was time to pop in on them before he went back to his role in the village.
